It definitely is different than the other covers, not just because of the full body thing, but also because it's colored normally and not in different shades of blue or something.

love the cover but then I enjoy the covers on all her books especially the gentry ones !!!! The micah one was a touch yummy though and I agree about seeing another cover with a male on it in a nice pose !!!! biggrin

Some of her books are in that color, it reminds me of Circus of the Damned.
I really like it, mostly because of the mask, and I liked how they raccooned her eyes.
I don't like it because it feels like its taking away something, it is different than her other books.
So I'm more 85% for it and 15% against it...if I did my math right.

KougerKat Has everyone seen the new cover?  So what are your thoughts on the new cover? In general the cover is pretty...it's just not anita...It's more Jean claude...and since this is not "Jean Claude Master Vamp series" then it should be more to the style of Anita...scoop neck T and some jeans ...how about that? But then again...the way anita is now...we may as well have a naked chick on the front of the book with the subtitle being "Anita blake porn star" rather than "anita blake Vamp hunter" she doesn't even hunt Vamps anymore...:sigh: but I digress...the cover is lovely...I simply think it does not fit her normal personality

Rei Yavie sybex Shark Um, no. xd I think that's illegal.
1. Teachers would yell at me for it because of the cover.
2. How can you read Anita Blake in school?! I mean, some of them, sure, but the ones with sex in them just make me feel really awkward. Gee.. and here I would read books with more sex in them in school just to get my teachers riled up. Kids today seem lame in that standard. *Shrugs*
But if you want riled up, try drawing the human body during class. Requires some artistic talent, but it sure does seem to shock people. Silly people.

Bah....Its all good. As for school reading: Just say: "I'm reading, what the hell more do you people WANT FROM ME?!" The run away crying (or faking it) The teachers will never ask again. (i did that...the faces teachers give is a total WHATTHEHELL face. They never did tell me to stop reading my books ever again.... twisted )

I dont understand what the big deal is about the covers and stuff if you're mature enough to handle that sort of thing. I've read every single one during school and no teacher said a word to me.
As for the cover, every cover tends to have a key item in it, a prop if you will, that sort of hints to the content. I think this one might be a masquerade-esque in it... or that might be hopeful thinking.

LOL, I hae a problem with reading during class... big time, I get asked to put the book away durin class and nothing else. Class mates are the annoying part for me, always asking 'What cha reading?', 'What's it about?', 'Is it good?', and staring at the cover... oy. ^^;;

haha When I was still in school, the teaches never paid much attention to what the hell I was doing. They had the mentality of 'oh well, she goes to vo-tech so she doesn't deserve our time and engery'. ::rolls eyes:: I used to sit there and read in class and they never said a thing to me. And I used to read those erotica books written by Anne Rice in class. lol The kids used to ask me what I was reading and I'd tell them porn and they'd look at me like I was joking or something...They didn't ask what I was reading after that. lol
But anyways, back to the actual topic. I like the cover. I always thought it was about time we saw a full body clear on one of the covers. It always seemed to me as if the book covers were leading up to it. You kept seeing glimpses of more and more body on every cover and then bam! Full body! ^_^ But that's just my opinion. I can't wait for it to come out! I already have it preordered... stare confused sweatdrop
