Rai blinked, looking at the kid like he was crazy. "Think he'd like to breath?" He stepped forward and pet the cat's head, then looked at the kid a little closer. "What's your name?" His green eyes flashed.

"He's breathing," Eden replied slightly defensively, glancing wide-eyed down at the kitty for a moment before looking back up at the man with wide, golden eyes.
At the second question, Eden smiled and held out his hand, obviously expecting the other to shake it (the kitty was currently smooshed against his chest so he could hold it with one hand). "Eden," he said simply. "You?"

Rai gave him a look that clearly said this could turn into a lawsuit against animal cruelty. He took Eden's hand though and replied. "Name's Rai." He eyed the cat again. "Can I hold him?"

“Are you sure they found nothing?” Yuu spoke into his sleek blue cell phone as he walked down the street, a canvas shopping bag full of groceries that would satisfy a bachelor’s diet. “Shrapnel doesn’t do me any good. I need something substantial I can run tests on...”
“Hello Dr. Adrastos!” The young man looked up as he heard his name called out, and smiled to the girl, one of his patients from his practice who was either a hypochondriac or had a crush on him. “Gonna cook your own dinner tonight?” she crooned at him after he returned her wave, “You should really have a girl cook for you...” Something about her tone made it seem that she was suggesting herself, but Yuu would have none of that.
“Ah, Miss Hardcastle,” He responded to her in a tone much more delicate than what he had been using on the phone, “Perhaps another time.” He bowed slightly then continued on, careful not to offend her or let her down too hard. With that said, he lifted the phone back to his ear. “Hello? Hello? Ah, you jerk. Hanging up on me.” He found it all suspicious, the incident with Darling 24497, but even if he voiced his numerous theories, the truth was that all of them seemed just a bit... paranoid and crazy.

A small frown creased the boy's lips as he stared down the street, his eyes squenching to slits. It was... hard to see. And the bandages wrapped around his head (which, for some reason, the doctors had insisted on ever since the... whatever it was when something bad had happened... the concusion) itched. They were supposed to have been changed earlier, but for some reason the nurse had never come. And Noe, dressed as he was in his pale, flowy shirt and equally loose pants coupled with the bandages on his head was much too easily recognisable as a hospital pacient. He had, however, been allowed to wear his own clothes because he practically lived in that sterile institution... but his clothes were generally rather similar to hospital garb... only paler. And less ugly.

He eyed the cat again. "Can I hold him?" ((^^;; You are so weird... xD)) Rai took the poor kitten and held him gently, petting him. "So... do you live close by?" Rai smiled warmly. The kid seemed a little... slow. Or maybe he was just hyper and being stupid. 'There is a differance,' he assured himself.

Clicking his phone off, Yuu slid it into his jacket pocket and shook his head. No matter how good his connections were, he couldn’t change the fact that what he wanted just didn’t exist. With a soft sigh, he let it go. It was rare that he had a Friday off, and how better to use that rare opportunity than to go home, make himself a nice meal and spend the day researching and theorizing. Needless to say, Yuu didn’t have much of a life - but such were the travails of grown up child geniuses. Only eighteen years old, he already behaved like an old man.
His boots clacked upon the pavement as he reached a street corner, and he froze up, feeling as though he had just seen a ghost. His gaze tilted down the next road, and he saw it clearer. It wasn’t a ghost, but a patient from the hospital. For some reason, they always paired Yuu up with the teenaged boys and girls at the hospital, as if they would have something in common. But Yuu felt he was too different, as his life wasn’t exactly the same as an ordinary kid’s. This one, however, probably understood, as he too spent his life on the other end of a microscope. Sighing, the man shook his head. The boy shouldn’t be out walking on his own - but it was a situation that had to be approached very carefully.
Keeping his walk casual and unhurried, he turned down the road that Noe was on, and continued towards him in an unthreatening manner. There was a reason he had escaped the hospital, and Yuu was not ignorant to it. Who WOULD want to be there anyway? “Ah, hey kid” he spoke, offering a lingering smile, “They finally let you have a holiday, huh?”

Noe jumped as someone adressed him and looked up, instinctively cringing. But when the inquiry finally registered in his mind, his expression relaxed... slightly. A small, haphazardly placed and overly nervous smile flitted onto his lips. "Uhmm... yeah. Something... something like that...." he mumbled, shifting his weight onto the other foot. He wasn't used to... so much walking. And he was already growing a bit tired. Not tired enough to return (never that tired!).... but still weary.
He shifted slightly from side to side, unable to find a comfortable standing position. He was always rather fidgity - and doctors always made him nervous, even if they were around his age (which was very rare).
"A-anyway.... they... gave you time off... too?" he inquired, trying not to sound too nervous - and, of course, failing. He could never appear nonchalont or... or normal.

It didn’t take a doctor to see that Noe was beginning to get tired, but Yuu didn’t have the heart to drag him all the way back to the hospital just yet. Really, it was just better to wait until he was ready to go back, so he didn’t try to do something so foolish again out of resentment.
“They sure did,” The doctor smiled, then did a quick lookaround, He wanted to get Noe off of his feet, but his options didn’t seem real good. He could take him back to his apartment, which was close, but that would not only be unprofessional but inappropriate as well. An ice cream parlor was just down the street, but Noe would probably think that was lame. It was almost as if he was planning for a date, which was just ridiculous. Finally he had it. Someplace where Noe could still get some air but rest and be comfortable too.
“THE PARK!” he shouted before he realized it, then cleared his throat in an attempt to look as adult as he was supposed to be. “I mean, the park is nice this time of year. You want to go with me to check it out? We can..” We can, what? Noe looked like he might get sick on the merrygoround, and then there was the lame aspect of ice cream again. “Watch the mimes, or whatever performers are there today. Mimes aren’t that great, huh.”

Noe nodded. "S-sure..." he mumbled hurriedly. He was all too aware that he would need to play along with the other and not... not seem suspicious so that he wouldn't be questioned. And thus for the other had seemed to accept Noe's story... which was deffinately something the boy was greatful for.
And the park was likely to be nice. He hadn't been to a park since... he couldn't remember when, if he'd ever been. And if he had been to a park, it had undoubtedly been one of those rich kid ones where no one really... played with each other, but more with their expensive... stuff. So... a park. THat would be... interesting.
His expression brightening considerably as he nodded again and murmured, "S-sounds good...."

“Of course it does,” Yuu responded, feeling good about himself and his small victory here, “It was my idea, after all.” The park wasn’t very far away, and even allowing for Noe to have a leisurely pace, they arrived on the premises very quickly. Parks were sort of a mystery to the young doctor, who felt that they were odd in their construct in the way that they represented nature in such an ordered, artificial way. Perhaps they symbolized man’s victory over his environment - but that was something for a thesis, not a conversation with Noe, who might not take to complicated theories that well.
“Ah, this looks like a good spot,” he spoke at last, gesturing to a park bench and a grassy knoll kitty-cornered to it. “The grass or the bench, your choice,” Yuu offered, then began to dig around in his grocery sack. For the most part it was all insta-meals, but there were a few other surprises as well, as he had quite the sweet tooth. “Would you like something to snack on? I have some red rope licorice, some taffy, a couple of those coconut marshmallow things with the creme in the middle...”
