wether you like her or hate her, you cannot deny that she has more than one important role. the first being there to support Yahiko, the second being that, without her, Kenshin would have never left the fallen village. her cry for help is what brought Kenshin back.

Yahiko and Tsubame are a good couple. Even though techinically, you can't say there is anyone else for Yahiko in the manga, if you are thinking age-wise as Misao...
But yes, I believe Tsubame or another foil character is needed for Yahiko to grow. I mean, there is also the other things that inspire Yahiko like the past, but Tsubame makes him go a bit farther.
Do I like Tsubame... Well, I don't hate her. And I dressed up like her for Halloween once, it was the worst costume ever though... She is pretty cool, but she should speak up once in a blue moon!

Tsubame is an adorable character, though not my favorite. And as for people who like her being rare, I don't think that's the case, she's probably just not their favorite. *Shrug.*

Bumping up for great justice and Tsubame love. rouroken i think it was geezer who helped kenshin leave the fallen village, not tsubame. It was really Tsubame. Oibore himself said that the only voice that will always reach Kenshin is one asking for help, which is exactly what she was doing.

I like Tsubame better when she's older even though, she's only been seen very few times as older (is the manga and in the directors-cut Rurouni Kenshin Seishounen (sp?)) I could role play her.

I like her. While her character isn't developed to the extent of some of the other main characters, she plays an important role in helping Yahiko's character to develop. I also think it's cute that they like each other. heart
