grew up Church of Christ, but for the past few years have been at a Baptist church.

Um...I don't really know what I consider myself (since I don't know what each believes), but I go to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA).

I used tobe Lutheran but now... the closest word I can think of that describes my religion is pagan. But I am hopin got learn about others churches and what they are about and what they think on things.

My church is Independant Non-Denominational. Denominations dont really mean much to us. We will take anyone in. If you believe in Christ, you're cool with me. Dont care what you are. We dont even ask.

Christian Church/Church of Christ, non-denominational. It is part of the Restoration Movement, not to be mistaken with the Reformation Movement.

grew up in a baptist church, though I'm attending a Church of christ school. I think denominations are divisive, but... I'm sort of confused on that point.

Baptized lutheran, confirmed lutheran, left the church and am now evangelical.

Which is about the same thing.

Yeeeeee........... That's a dangerous place to be, because I've been there and done that...

I went to a christian school for Kindergarten through 12th grade graduation.... went to church every week 3 times or more during that time... and when I was 18 and out of school, I never entered a church except once or twice for about 10 years.

During that time, I chose the "pagan" platform, studied many paths of Wicca, or was generically non-religious, or studied up on a slew of other religions... Always "looking for the right path that was best for me."

But after ten years of that.... one day it hit me hard... God called me back, made me realize that it wasn't He who abandoned me, it was me who abandoned Him.

Now I am in a non-denominational, bible-believing and preaching church that is very supportive. I urge you to stop looking elsewhere and go back to the Bible and Jesus saving grace. All that other stuff will ultimately leave you empty and hollow...
