While the background behind the mythology surrounding fallen angels and evil beings is very interesting (and it is, don't get me wrong) there is something a lot of us need to learn about what will hereafter be called the "bible of the folk". A lot of that stuff, while it is extra-biblical, i.e., people made it up to fill the gaps left in the story in scripture, I learned a long time ago that hidden in every myth is a kernal of truth. Is the truth more complicated than the myth? Of course. Does the myth leave stuff out and add stuff in? Yes. But human beings tend to be sent "good dreams" and the truth of these matters tends to filter out into the general subconscious of mankind. As my good friend (who's literally older than dirt and shows up in a few myths himself) pointed out the creature we've all been talking about is the one humans have named Lucifer or Satan.

While, I'm at it, I would like to remind everyone of my no-religion bashing rule. While I meant that rule to keep fundimentalists from being nasty to my members who aren't Christians, it also applies to bashing Christianity. I know a lot of you have hard feelings toward at least some segments of Christianity, no one gets to make fun of anyone's religion here. I'm not saying you did, but I've noticed undertones in a few other threads and I want to point out that it WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Does everyone get it???

I love you guys!!!

I apologize as well. I don't know if I'm one of the guilty party or not, but I definitely want you to know I'm not against Christianity, and any hard feelings I have are my personal issues and are more with some of the followers (Fundamentalists) than the religion itself. eek

Yes, well, I wouldn't say that I am completely for Christianity but I would also say I'm not completely against it, I just wanted to point out the truth of the matter, and serperate fact from fiction.(I really think Lucifer gets a bad rep, and whenever you hear the name "Lucifer" you automatically think "OMG! It's Satan!" with everything bad, while the evidence says it isn't the case, the same with 666 which is actually just a numeracal name for emperor Nero, not the devil. etc etc)

Sorry if I offended anyone. That was not my intention. sweatdrop It wasn't a bash at Christianity at all, I promise.

On another note, I love how sweet everyone is on this forum and quick to apologize if they offended someone's beliefs, that's somethingI don't see on other forums, I give that a thumbs up.

*patpat* I've been working on highly self-reflective papers dealing with Job, Ecclesiastes, Genesis, and Proverbs a lot the past week, so my mind is completely gone and my emotions are being all roller-coaster-y. That's why I freaked out when you said that, because I seriously don't have memories of what I post here right now. sweatdrop Although I really can't see myself being THAT offensive, even in my worser moods...*laughs* heart

Noooo, Katie, you haven't gotten yourself on my list yet. Though, I'd be remiss if I didn't say that I can't imagaine what would get you on my list, oh-my-vice-captain.

*sigh of relief* Okay, good. xd

I'm going to be really bad for a moment and be off topic, because you're not on AIM, and I know if I don't tell you now, I'll forget. I got your card! And, I'm going to send yours out REALLY soon--it's taken me a week shopping five stores to find a card with an angel on it. Why would it be that hard? crying

I can't believe it was that hard to find an angel... lol.

I have some with angels on it... I'd forgotten about them when I bought the wisemen card.

What did is energy feel like?
Postive or negitive?

Utterly smooth and coniving. Sweet as honeyed cyanide(likely spelled that wrong...Too lazy to fix it up.); the kind of guy I don't want hanging about my headspace. Not good or bad, very, very sheilded.
But what creeped me out the most was he showed up as my guardian- no one does that and I've had a few less-than-friendlies over to play before...

Satan is well versed in many things, but to disguise himself as something already familiar to you is seldom his style. Although he can do this on a limited bases, it is usaully nothing more than a mask, a transperant one at that. There are things out there that are far better versed at this art; being able to almost flawlessly disguise their true nature, look, and feel. The more important question whether it was Satan or something else is, 'What did it want?' ( I don't recall anyone asking that question, and if they did I don't recall an answer.)

Well, I'm what you would call 'Blind' (in spiritual terms not IRL) so I couldn't see *what* he looked like, I just felt it. It felt and sounded like my guardian, but with this butterflies-in-your-tummy uneasy undertone to it.

He wanted information, to get closer to me. I didn't give him enough of a chance to ask, but he definately knew that I guard myself almost stupidly well against everyone and everything to avoid getting hurt. Whoever that was took the form of my guardian to get me to open my heart and mind to them- he started with small talk, then tried to start a deeper conversation... I forget exactly what, but it was so unusual a request and he felt so odd that I demanded he say the 'Our Father', which he did. Without wincing or tripping himself up.
Thought I'd mistook something else for my guardian (I've done it before, but they were good somethings then; entirely different), but when he tried to talk with me again, his smile made me cringe and there was none of the 'safe' feeling my guardian gives around him or even the reassuring feel of the good sort of somethings. He had the arrogant, self-satisfied feel of one who *knows* he's going to win. Not necessarily true, but to him there could be no other outcome.

Short version: He wanted acess to every part of my heart and soul, but I don't know why.

*giggle* Yes, Gatta, not good indeed. (Sorry...I know it might not be funny, I just have a weird sense of humour...) But I chucked whatever he was out- Shot stupid amounts of Holy Light at him and then threw up the strongest sheilds I could summon.
