I do have one thought. I know what I think of it but I am curious as to everyone else. As far as we know, when Zack last spoke to Aeris was at the earliest before the Nibelhiem tragedy; 5 years before in-game present time. During which time Zack was incompasitated and unable to contact Aeris. This leaves Aeris in the dark of what the situation is with her first love disappearing without a trace. She also knows that Zack is a lady's man; which leads her to think he has abandoned her for someone else. In the game, Aeris shows no signs of knowledge of Zack's death, yet she also shows no signs of resentment. The question, how do you think Aeris would have reacted if she had encountered Zack alive in game present time after all this?

If she just bumped into Zack in the street or something, she'd be surprised, but probably wouldn't act much.....If she found Zack in a different way, a more serious situation, maybe she'd feel guilty about how she thought that Zack left her. In "The Maiden" when she found out that he died, she felt guilty.

I don't think she'd ever approach Zack, but if he were to approach her we would definately see her quick temper. Unless she was forced into the situation she would probably avoid him... but then once realizing what had happened then she would feel guilty.
