Another shudder and chiri's teeth began to chatter even more - and then it stopped and her eyes widdened. "It's pretty again!" She squealed, brushing her finger over the pretty red surface of the orb.
And then it was gone.
Her necklace was gone, her precious house warming gift to herself was gone. TIA WAS GOING TO KILL HER. "OHMYGAWD, NOOOS!" chiri began to panic, not knowing there was someone behind her in the darkened room.
She pushed herself up from the floor as quick as she could, still not noticing, and flicked on the lights to her room. That's when she noticed and that's when she screamed .... and that's when he screamed too. But she was the only one to dive for cover. She rolled onto the bed and over, managing to grab a kunai during her little acrobatics and held in front of her. "You're not going to kill meeeeeeee!" She half whined, trying to sound tough. Some ninja.
The teen simply chuckled, still leaning against the door. "I'm not here to kill you." He smiled, a gleam in his different colored eyes. Wait, was he? nono, he wasn't. "Don't recognize me, do you?" All he got was a shaking head and he returned the simple response by holding up the necklace that was clutched in his fist.
"Aaa!" chiri gaped, suddenly leaping to her feet and scurrying to the boy. She looked at it and then at him, trying to make a connection.. which failed in the way it should. "You had it? You took it? why?"
And he stared blankly, "You.. didn't know?"
"What?" She tilted her head, confused.
"I.. came from the necklace .. that you wore..." His eyebrow raised, her eyes widened. "My name is Urahara." He smiled in a cunning manner, "it's a pleasure to finally meet you, chirigami."

There was an uncomfortable silence for a long while. The information took chirigami a while to process, it was just really odd to her. Sure, this was a strange land where everything seemed possible .. but a creature coming from a necklace. Her crimson gaze shifted to him, an obvious twitch was his response. With her unease, Urahara suddenly felt uneasy and he wasn't sure why. Was she angry? Plotting something? .... something?
"I'm hungry, are you hungry? I don't think I've eaten in a while ... I'm not sure. I can only imagine you haven't." Chirigami suddenly spoke up after a while. Her gaze fell to her lap as her fingers fiddled with the hem of her shirt. Then raised again, for a response from her new charge.
"Yeah, I guess I am a little hungy." He blinked at the woman sitting on the bed.
"Good!" chiri chirped and got up from her seat. She grabbed Ura by his wrist, swung open the door and walked out. Then paused, looking at the door adjacent to the one they had just exited. Her cheerful demeanor turned to a frown as she looked at it. Her tanned fingers slipped from his wrist and then raised hesitantly to knock on the door. She paused once again and then knocked quickly. "Suika! I'm.. making food if you want anything." Her call came, rushed and almost inaudible.
Urahara silently watched her, unsure of what to do. His mismatched eyes blinked and his head tilted to the side in curiosity. He watched her shoulder slump and then heard her sigh in defeat. The sound of fluttering wings suddenly broke his attention from his new keeper to the door she had been staring at. There was a click and then he noticed a little head peek out. Ura took a step back, unsure what to make of the little creature. It... it was just weird and looked a little threatening, even for such a small thing. As brightly colored the pink fur and green hair and wings were, the malice in the blue eyes and the horns on top of it's head ... just didn't give it a very good image. The little creature didn't say a word, it just glared at the red head before it and then notice him. He took another step back, looking at the evil gleam in her eyes that narrowed further upon sighting him.
"What's all this about?" The creature asked in a high pitched female tone. The door widened, allowing Ura to obviously note the.. goat thing was a girl. Her little hands rested on her hips as she hovered in the air. Little green feathers went everywhere, but her blue eyes stayed on Ura. And then, he just blinked at her, wondering why he was so paranoid about her. What could this little thing possibly do to him anyway. He did the best response he could give to her glares, he smiled innocently to her. That just pissed her off more, her nose wrinkled and her glare increased.
"Remember that necklace I got?" chiri obliviously broke through the tension, not noticing a damn thing. "He came from it! Isn't that amazing, Suika?" The red headed female was practically bubbling with excitement over this, she was bouncing in step.
".. uh huh." Suika replied, unimpressed (well, she did come from a can after all). For once, her little blue gaze turned back to chirigami, "you said something about food." Blunt, oh so blunt. "I haven't eaten in a while, I was about to eat a few things in the room but figured you'd get pissed off. Was about to eat Gaara, but knew you'd get pissed off... and figured the same for Aidan." Again, blunt and monotone. Ura remained confused, what was this thing talking about? What was she trying to eat? But, he never got answers as chiri smiled and grabbed the Capra where she hovered and shot past the confused teen and went down the hall.
It had taken a while for an actual meal to be prepared. As most of the occupants had boarded themselves room on end, most of the food chiri had bought had gone terribly rotten. One ... food, which was no longer identifiable, was beginning to growl a civilization. Leave it to magic. But as things turned out, the whole city crumbled once it joined up with old milk in the trashcan. Poor new civilization, they probably could have done something right with the world. With most things gone, and the smell from rot gone out of the home, the new family feasted on... interesting sorts.
Cups of Raman, Cheez Whiz, crackers, a stick of string cheese, half a block of butter, a case of warm Code Red Mountain Dew, an ice cube, and one meat and cheese lunchable.
Ura wasn't sure of what to make of it all. He more of less picked at the food placed in front of him, there was a lot of cheese. Different cheese, chiri liked cheese... didn't she. He watched in silence as Suika consumed all her food in one bite and proceeded to eat the food placed in front of a funny looking red and white ball. Chiri ate in silence and glared at the microwave. She had gotten in a fight with it earlier, claiming it to be plotting, ready to explode in her face and make it's microwaves eat at her skin and kill her. The same thing happened with most of the food they had thrown out, each one she claimed to be plotting to kill her in some way. Ura couldn't help but stare, Suika was just as confused and Gaara, the cait that had joined soon after, didnt pay much attention to his mistress but clung to the lanky teen.
Gaara, now he was interesting. Apparently the tan colored cat thing wasn't weary of the teen. In fact, it was the opposite, he seemed to latch onto Ura, fascinated with his evil aura like a moth to the flame. Ura blinked and stared at it, unsure what to make of this cat. Could be a formable ally, he supposed... all the merrier. Gaara even, at one point, offered his new friend some of his food (Gaara doesn't like cheese) but Ura kindly passed it off.
"I'll go get some more food later... maybe tonight or tomorrow." Chiri finally spoke up after some time. Her plate finished and pushed aside. She rested her elbow upon the counter and her head in her up faced palm. "Yeah...I'll go get more food later."

"What's this supposed to be?" Urahara asked as his fingers curled around an old looking black book. His eyes narrowed, pulling the book thing closer to his eyes into observation. It was clearly old, having dog ears upon many random yellowing pages and some of the black upon the cover seemed to be cracking and old. It was clearly some antique thing, or something similar to that... or at least cleverly created to look like one. The teen continued to stare, turning the book over and then to the side and then back around again. A small 'hmm' passed through his lips, one hand fingering the edge of the cover and opening it. His hand shot up to his mouth, his head turned in expectance of a foul smell... but nothing came. The damn book smelled fresh from the press, like old mahogany or something. He lowered his hand towards the pages and began to flip them and noticed they were all completely blank. "What the hell?"
chirigami couldn't help but giggle watching her charge and his perplexity. "It's a journal!" she smiled, "It seemed they're popular and such, might be good for you to record important things that happen, or thoughts or something..." the red head explained, almost a bit too giddy about her genius plan. She had been walking through Durem earlier that day and had overheard two girls talking about getting journals for their new charges. Chirigami jumped at the simple idea of the thing; how completely wonderful! She had looked in all the bookstores for the right one, the perfect one for Urahara and suddenly came upon the black looking book while in an antique book store. It just seemed to scream 'Urahara!' with its interesting ancient look and black depths. It was surprising that the red head could afford it, especially with her limited means of getting money, but it had been in the perfect price range and thankfully the book didn't smell as old as it looked. She had brought it home and plopped it in the hands of the teen with a 'taaadaaaa!'
"But.. aren't journals for girls?" Urahara questioned his guardian skeptically. He continued thumbing through the pages absentmindedly yet stared at the other red head on the couch opposite him.
"Not at all!" chirigami nodded deeply then handed the boy a pen. "Write, it'l be good for you!" She smiled, pumping her fist in the air. With her hand back down, and not caring about the odd look she was getting in response, she got up from her seat on the couch. " have to go take of some stuff... like your room!" chirigami chirped, passing by Urahara and patting his head on her way by.
The male redhead scowled, not fond of the patting.. he wasn' a child after all. He grunted slightly and then turned his attention back to the book in his hands. The weird face from earlier returned, his eyes narrowed in confusion and his mouth twisted in a frown, what the hell was he supposed to do with this? He understood what chiri had told him, but he just didnt see the point... would his writing do something cool in the end? Would it benefit someone is some ways? Maybe if he wrote things down it could turn into something cool or do something .. like from one of those weird comics that chiri had laying around all over the apartment. His mismatched gaze shifted to one laying on the coffee table beside him and his hand shot out to it. "hm.." He leafed through the book, trying to find something that looked like a spell.
His eyes almost crossed, staring at the strange squiggles on the page. His nose wrinkled in confusion over it, it clearly wasn't English.. but something had to be a spell of some sort, all chirigami's manga had to deal with magic or fighting of some sort of weird s**t like that. He continues to stare, eyes contorting in confusion over what he was looking over. Quickly, he flipped to the cover, opening for some indication. "Bleach..." The lanky teen read aloud while staring at the image of a dark haired man with glasses, well .. that didn't make sense; the content didnt seem to have anything to do with dying things or hair at all (well, little fairy things were coming out of one girl's hair.. but that didnt really help with the title). There was only one logical thing to do here, now. Urahara grunted and flung the book to the couch. He sunk lower into his arm chair and just continued to stare at the journal on his lap.
Stupid stupid thing, what was he supposed to do with it?
And he continued to stare at the book, twiddling the pen between two fingers. He frowned and openes the book to the third page and clicked the pen once to get it going. Then, clicked it again and then again and continued clicking it in an almost annoying fashion. Oh, it wasn't annoying him .. but, he knew it would definatly annoy Suika later on. A smile spread across his face, clicking the pen once more; well, at least he got something good out of all this. The ball point reached the page but he paused. Could he even write things? Sure, he could read, well English that is, but could he write it as well? The thought never reall occured to him, but he quickly shrugged it off. If he could read, he could probably write.Urahara stuff has been happening. Well, that answered that question.
Giving the pen a simple twirl, he gave his attention back to the page in attempts to get something written down.Urahara well, some stuff... not a lot. finding myself living with chirigami is a little interesting. she's not like most people I tend to walk by on my usual walks around durem and parts of barton town. besides the fact she struggles to get by and keep our apartment, she doesn't seem to be all too aware of anything.
anywho, I don't really want to talk about chiri... trying to only brings up questions and I don't feel like going into anything like that at all.
so... He paused, tapping the end of the pen against the page. Something to write about, well... there was always Aurora, he smiled. Urahara and interesting encounter came about a few days ago. on one of my usual walks by the park, I came across two beings simlar to myself. well, not totally similiar, they weren't as cool and all and also didn't seem to come from necklaces... one came from a vase and I'm not sure I got the item of the second, he was rather quiet and was busy trying to find durem again for me. but, enough about him... the first one.
well, she was definatly something. I have to honestly admit, she was rather striking in appearance... her soft golden eyes and hair of similiar color that framed her head in lovely curls. pretty, yes but the way she turned to mere puddy in my hands was something else. I could tell she was uneasy about me, as I tend to give off an interesting aura... but it seemed to be something else. it was evident especially the second time I met up with her, when chirigami took me to ... some place I really have no idea about. all the blushing and stuttering from the girl was all it took to make my day, it was rather cute really.
Urahara paused once more, the book folding back up together between his knees. He wasn't really sure of how to continue with his writing, or if he was even doing it right. His fingers drummed on the binding, the others twirling the pen once more. That had to be enough, right? Yeah... that had to be... he mentally told himself.

His journal had been cast aside for some days now, aside from the occasional notes, doodles and tick-tack-toe games he played with Gaara. After a while, Ura had found it to be useless and boring and definitely not cool in any sense. So with that gone, the teen had found his stay in chiri's apartment to be down right boring. She had no cable on their television, thinking that it was going to eat at her brain and had destroyed half of the appliances in fear of them.. eating her. The one luxury she did manage to obtain was a laptop with cable internet access, something she seemed necessary due to her addiction to animated shows as well as various other shows that she downloaded in less than legal manners. Aside from sitting in front of the little screen or locking herself in her small room, chirigami was actually rarely home. Ura had no idea where she went all the time, though he's never admit he was curious.
So with boredom eating away at his soul, the only thing the lanky teen could find to do was take more and more walks. Hell, if chiri was rarely home he wouldn't either. And, they proved to be useful in the least. He had encountered Aurora on one of them, as well as what's his name. Another wonderful thing he managed to find out on one of his adventures within Durem was his ability to sweet talk his way into anything and out of everything. It was of a happy accident really, well he pretty much knew he had a manipulative way of talking but he never knew how far it could reach. He was hungry, starving really because of refusal to eat all the cheese, and had no money on him, as chiri never gave him any, but he somehow managed to get himself a nice hot sandwich with a large order of fries. Huh. The next day he had gone back, hoping it wasn't a fluke to only find that he was really making progress in this whole charm thing he had going on. Another reason, he figured, was that the same lovely waitress was there with blushing smiles when he came near. So, perhaps that was it.
His bounds furthered from free meals to other wondrous goodies. Ura had decided to keep his quests small, to keep suspicions low and in mild fear of being caught as well. But, he had at least kept going and that was a triumph in itself.
But now, he was finding the books on magic he had acquired to be down right boring as well. Damn, why couldn't his life be cool or something; like living in a big house with servants that he could mess with or at least a cooler 'parent'? chiri sucked, he sighed, letting the book in his hands fall to the ground with a soft 'thunk'. Ura slouched in the big chair he was sitting in and just stared ahead ... more to the hallway to the two rooms of the apartment. His eyes suddenly flickered to chiri's door. Soon after he had come, she had started locking it. He never knew why, he had been in it... there was nothing special. Lips twisted to ground and he found himself sitting up straighter and just stared at her door. Was she hiding something? A small 'hmm' escaped his throat and all he could fine to do was to get up and get a better look at it.
It was a short trip, maybe fifteen steps, but he had a little ways to think. Not much, mainly what food he'd try to go after when he was done. Before he knew it, Ura was staring at a small silver lock hanging around the door of his keeper. Really now, did she really think that could stop him from getting in? A small smile spread across his face as one hand began to rummage through one of his back pockets then to the next until finally pulling out a small paper clip. "Saah.." He hummed, pulling the metal apart in an even line and then folded it. The teen went to a knee and picked the lock with one hand while the other shoved the bent paper clip in. "Should work..."
'click.'
Excellent, he mused with a widening smile. With lock pulled off, he stood up again and pushed the door open to the darkness. Well, not total darkness, the light from the hallway slipped into the depths and aided the light from outside to illuminate the room just enough to see. Urahara stood with his hand still on the handle, transfixed and a bit bewildered. It ... looked different, it all seemed different, it looked decorated. chirigami had been busy since he had least seen it. There were scrolls upon the walls and decorative items and posters that he knew weren't there before. And, if he hadn't known better, he could havs sworn he could smell the sweet scent of tropical flowers from within... somewhere in there. His head turned to the left and his eyes fell upon a katana .. no.. two, on a small stand. They didn't look new, nor did they look like they were for mere decorative purposes. He took a step, wanting to get a closer look and to see what else he was missing and had not noticed before.
"Dame!" A mechanical voice broke through the silence, making the teen jump. He clutched his chest with his free hand, trying to get his heart to calm down.
"Ho s**t.. what?" He took slow breathes and searched for the source. There were beeps near him, and obviously not happy beeps. He looked down to the desk next to the door to see little red lights flashing at him and little plastic 'ears' on a small yellowish ball flap at him
"Dame! Mitometakunai!" More angry beeps and flapping. "Mitometakunai!" The beeping wasn't stopping. Urahara stared.
Then it stopped, not moving. No more beeping. The lanky teen stared, confusion upon his face. Was that all? He would have almost chuckled at the stupid little 'security system' until he heard the strangest sound coming from his left.
'woooooosh~ !'
He barely managed to duck in time as several dozen kunai went whizzing on by. Some managed to clip his hair, but they all just whizzed by and embedded themselves into the opposite wall which was.. well, the door to his room.
"What the hell..." Ura almost whined, managing to turn his head towards chiri's open room again. Where the hell did those come from? He stared with wide eyes.
"You didn't think chiri would really think one lock would really be enough?" Came a small shrill voice, laced with amusement.
Urahar turned to the source and frowned at the little Capra hovering in the air. His eyes narrowed looking at the little creature and he huffed. He really wasn't in the mood to argue with her. Ignoring her, he got himself off the ground and dusted himself off.
"Now now, no need to get all defensive. But I'd close the door or the kunai'll come again~" She called in a sing-songy voice before fluttering back in the kitchen.
Ura huffed and rolled his eyes. Attention back at the room he-
'woooooosh~ !'
This time, less time to dodge. He hissed, his hand shooting to his cheek where there was a thin line of red and a small trickle of blood making it's way down the contour of his cheek. "s**t.." He looked up, angry, towards his door, hoping it was still intact to only widen his eyes yet again in shock.
The first batch of kunai were gone, no evidence of their impact upon the door and the current set of black knives were slowly hissing and then vanished in poofs of black smoke and traces of sand.
"what?"
He never noticed the click of the front door, nor the sounds of footsteps coming near him. But did manage to hear the scream.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"
Ura's head snapped towards her. His mismatched eyes widened even larger upon seeing her. Angry. Red eyes narrowed, her hands balled into fists that her tan skin around her knuckles were getting whiter by the second. "URAHARA!" She demanded, the only thing moving upon her being was Mr Tail swishing angrily behind her.
"chiri! What was that?" The teen asked in astonishment, she could at least answer. But, he was so not getting any. She stomped past him and slammed the door quickly as the sound of kunai hitting the door panged the hallway. She turned her attention back to him, burning eyes meeting his bewildered ones. No answers, she seethed.
"NO!" She finally said, referring to really nothing but in ways answering anything he wanted. She wasn't going to give answers, no explanations... she didn't want him in her room. Too many... too many .....
"NO!!" She screamed again, turning her head away with eyes shut tight.
"chiri.. I just..." Ura stared at her, stuck. He didn't know what to do. He was still shocked over the kunai and even more so over how serious she was treating this. He knew she took things a bit too seriously, but this seemed genuine for some reason.
Silence. Urahara slowly stood up, midly towering over the shorter girl. He was at a lose of words.
"just.. don't..." The female finally looked up, red eyes brimming with tears. He eyes glanced at the cut upon his cheek, more pain hinting in her eyes. Her hand shot out, grabbing his wrist and yanked him away to clean the wound.
Urahara frowned deeper, being ushered away. He gave one last glance at the door before looking ahead. This wasn't over.

It had only been a few days since Ura's first break in of chirigami's room and the female had already put on a new lock with an added ward - well, she put it up a few hours later and more wards on the door than he knew of - it was irritating. He didn't get what the big deal with her room was. So, he grumbled and he slaved away with obtaining and reading more books; this time on wards.
He had learned that the best way to dispell wards was to figure out their meaning .. which meant reading the kanji and other symbols on them. A linguist and character discypherer he was not. Sure, it was pretty easy to figure that the ofuda were for locking or something along those lines. Sadly, he learned there was more than one way to lock things and different types for different things. Doors? Well, there were several and he never really got a good long look at the piece of paper upon the lock. chiri always managed to spot him and usually chased him off with a broom. It wasn't that he was afraid of her ... it was just weird being chased by her waving a broom like a mad woman.
So... odd.
Ura sighed, closing another useless book and tossing it on the floor of his room. As of late he had locked himself in, determined to figure it out. At times he wondered why he cared so damn much, but most of the time he figured because there was nothing better to do. Besides, secrets were always something interesting to delve into, especially with someone who kept them as tight as chiri.
Then the ringing in his ears returned, the little voice in the back of his mind spoke up.. or at least tried to. Trying to tell him something. Ura shook his head, strands of red hair pulling out of the elastic band that held it together in a tail along his back. It was getting annoying, that little voice. It had started two days ago, it was small and almost unnoticable until he was totally silent and let his mind go. Then it began to grow and pound in his head. At first he had figured he had an ear infection - but he had done nothing to really get one - maybe had been listening to something for too long or maybe someone was talking about him? - a silly little notion he picked up from chirigami, why he listened to her... he had no idea. After a few days of the waves it hit him, he had only one real thought of what it could be -
Was something happening?
Yeah right, he told himself, frowning and opening another book to a random page. Opened to a random page, mismatched eyes scanned over a few of the words, explaining a few symbols of kanji. The red head paused, lips twisting into an irritated frown. The ringing wouldn't stop. It was really pissing him off. And if he didn't know any better, it was getting louder. Ura grumbled, eyes rolling and flopped the book back on his bed where it had rested previously. It was going to be really hard to read when there was a constant bugging noise in one's head. One arm rested on his upright knee, his eyes unfocused and deep in thought.
Maybe he should take some advil. Did chiri even have some? Probably not.
Thin red eyebrows pushed together, the ringing's pitch growing louder and higher. Something was happening, it had to be. The voice in the back of his voice was pratically trying to tell him that. His head turned, towards the single window in the small room.
"It's like a door opening..." He mumbled.

Urahara sighed boredly tapping his pen against the black binding of his journal as he sat upon the couch. His nose scruntched up as he again took in the slight hint of pine and alchohol that vented through the air. He really didn't know what the fuss was all about but he knew chiri took these two holidays seriously - even though she clearly didn't get them. She had decorated as much as she could for solstice or Christmas - she switched between the two names - as well as New Years. Wasn't much sanes her meager income. A small tree sat on the coffee table that barely managed to even hover over the gifst that were there a few days ago. Some tinsle was thrown around the apartment - in a crazy manner, chiri liked shiny things and got distracted and would stare at it instead of decorate. And Suika - in a bizzarre turn for holiday cheer - made some snowflakes and hung them from the ceiling.
And oh yes. chirigami's tin foil wrapped presents. Ura could have sworn he was just wrapping empty boxes, he had no indication of what the hell was in the boxes. *
Christmas or Solstice - whatever - quickly passed with chiri being a spazz. New Years came by around the corner and again, celebration in the apartment. Streamers and alchohol - but chiri refused to give any to Ura in fear of outcome. So he had some apple cider and rang in the upcoming year yet not know exactly why.
And now, it was the day after and chiri was once again no where to be seen. Urahara's gaze upon the empty page at hand and tapped the pen once and began making notes, as that was the only true purpose he found with the damn journal.Urahara No new developments in the opening of chiri's room. I think she figured out what I was trying to do and put yet another ward - a different ward - on the lock. ********. Going to have to get more creative. Just the fact alone that she's hiding something is more than enough to really perk my interest. . . .
Met a boy the other day, name was Itsuki. Oddly enough I think he has some sort of connection to what's up with the ringing in my head. Just something about him, it was odd .... like we were connected and supposed to do something. Or like I was supposed to do something with him. I plan to ask Aurora about this, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get as much information from her than I'll even need. Silly puppet.
Also met another simu girl, a few days before Itsuki. Name was weird, can't really recall ... an attitude with that one. Thought she was really smooth and tough like. Bah, just an act to get some reaction or something. There's no way a little girl like that could even do anything.
Urahara paused and looked around cautiosly with pen still on the paper. She wasn't around ... was she? Yeah, that'd be bad if she was. Another check. Okay, she somehow didn't manage to get in or something.
Urahara Anywho, where was I? . . . . hm. . . . . . *doodle* anywho. not sure what else to write.
Holidays are bizzarre, especially onces orchastrated by chirigami. Yes. With another bored sigh, Urahara slammed his journal closed and let it rest on his lap. Now to find something to do.
[* note : uh, I'll get to those soon, swear ninja ]

[arpee from january 04 - aka 'the kiss']
He knew vaguely where he was going, or at least of the minimal directions chirigami had given him. After his meeting with Itsuki on the streets, Urahara had decided to go with his instincts and try to get information from the shop where their items had come from.
The soft clicks from his boots halted as he stopped in front of a building. His mismatched eyes narrowed slightly as he tilted his head to read the sign, "... looking glass..." He read aloud to no one in particular. This had to be it though. His lips curled to a frown as his hand lifted from its rest in his coat pocket to push open the door.
'hm...' he hummed to himself, standing by the door as it closed with a small bang. His hands resided in the pockets of his black coat, and his expression remained the same as his gaze settled to the center of the room to watch.
"S'alright, I was too," Elijah says with a toothy grin. Anything getting him out of the house makes the boy endlessly happy. "Nice to be meetin' you."
He eyes the disgruntled girl on the couch with cautious curiosity. What's there to be upset about when you've got freedom of going places? He turns back to Ronin. "Whatcha think is that girl's problem, anyway?" he asks in a quieter voice to ensure that she doesn't hear.
Tobias laughs quietly. "Slush, is it? I thought I recognized you. I'm Tobias.. I haven't seen many Skull Monkeys other than my sisters since, well, way back after my first world journey."
He takes a quick reflective moment before continuing to reply. "Isto's husband, you say? Seems like he must be doing well, then, also!"
Ronin was quite confused by Elijah's friendly behaviour, but guessed it was alright. Probably all Simulacra's were like this ?
But as his blue eyes settled down on the girl, without being ashamed of looking, he smiled. "I don't know, perhaps she was annoyed by her brother." The young one pointed at the SM, who seemed not less active than his own family members. Probably they exchange stupid sibling stories.
Ronin reminded himself of Lena's words to be nicer and so he tried to smile. So many people were difficult...
The door opened once more and her eyes shifted from the winged Simu who had just eyed her to the teen redhead who had just entered. Not like she was going to say hello anyways, if anyone wanted to take their chances with her, then they could do just that on their own. She wasn't going to bloody move when she didn't want to come here in the first place, so she gave the new teen an added scowl for better effects.
"Nice to meet you! You're name sounds familiar but I don't remember meeting you, maybe Sharkie... Um Isto mentioned you?" He must beamed when Tobias was not only friendly, but repeated the 'title' of marriage, it made him flush softly and grin wider. "Yep. We're both doing rather well... Though I wish we could somehow have kids..."
From what the redhead could see, the owners of the establishment were obviously not around, or at least didn't look to be. There were so many children about and barely any .. well, adults. But, then again, he had no idea who ran the shop in the first place.. though, most the the children were giving off the same feeling of being Simu, so.. he was lead back into a dead end. Ura let out a small sigh as let his back rest against thw wall behind him. Hopefully he'd find answers to the connection between him and Itsuki soon and hopefully it didn't mean something awful. Perhaps it was what the boy had thought, maybe he was suposed to teach him something.
His thoughts drifted away for a moment, however, when he felt eyes upon him. Ura turned his head in the direction of Zanna and her scowl. 'How sweet..' The teen mused to himself. His eyes closed andthe edges of his lips turned upward into a small. He wouldn't give her the pleasure of a response, all he'd do was lean a bit more into the wall behind him. Yes, exactly.
As Elijah left Ronin looked around and looked for the next best person to talk to. He decided on Zanna, who looked more reasonable than the older persons and the Skully Monkey.
His wooden shoes clagged as he moved towards the couch the girl was sitting on. "May I sit down ?"
The younger Simu chcukled low in her throat at the redhead's reaction, quirking a smile before shrugging off the annoying jacket and moving to stand up. She sensed that this Simu was darker than most of the others, almost like X when she let her temper or thirst take over. This definately intrigued her.
However, before she could make her way over, a young Simu clogged rather noisily over to her. Didn't he know anything about steathy walking so that he didn't sound like an elephant when he trounced around. Her eyes narrowed somewhat before she nodded, her smile disappearing. "I suppose."
Ronin grinned. He hadn't done this often and he usually just did it when somebody slipped over a banana in tv or if Nobu had lost one of his tail rings.
So the young one sat down and looked at the red haired teenager, who had caught the girl's attention. Being a little bit bored he pulled out his little dagger again and watched the light's reflexions. Beautiful...this thing was his best friend.
Ura's ears twitched at the sound of the little boy's geta clicked loudly upon the floor. His eyes opened out of irritation, to glare at the source and watched the two children interact in silence. Noticing eyes upon him once again, Urahara frowned slightly and continued to watch.
A small sigh escpaed him again, watching the boy from his wall. He blinked a bit, watching him take out a small knife. 'Huh..' He thought, trying to rationally make sense of why such a small and loud boy would have such a thing in his possession.
She simply raised her eyebrow at the grin and nodded slightly in response, eyes also falling down to the knife. X had weapons stowed away in her house supposedly, or so Devon had told her when he came out to visit her one day in her cubby. However, Zanna didn't need a weapon to manipulate and beat up boys, in fact she was oh so capable of doing that by herself. Like those slobs who had built her beloved cubby. Crying like babies because of a six year old.
Scoffing lightly at the boy with his knife, she returned her attention to the redhead, who had apparently been looking at the same thing just moments ago. If she could make full grown men do her bidings, maybe she could do the same to this one here. That would be fun.
Ronin looked at it shining, not noticing the scowl and the looks. He liked the knife and it was born with him that's all he knew. Lena had tried to get it away from him and even Ray didn't want him to keep it. But he had managed to store it below his pillow and had taken it with him before he sneaked out. He should have known it before, there was nobody even interested in playing with him.
Elijah slips back in, his mood slightly watered down. Okay, so no good news there. But there's still hope..! He glances quickly before resting eyes on his earlier target. A shiny dagger?
He drops down onto the remaining space on the couch. "What's up here, doin' anything interesting?" he asks in a forced politeness, more eager than anything.
Tobias shakes off his wings, the feathers separating and ruffling upon reentrance. He returns to the fellow Skull Monkey's side while the conversation is still fresh in his mind. "Sorry 'bout that. Isto and I weren't the closest of friends, but perhaps he has mentioned me before. After I got my wings, I never really was around much." He rubs at his long sleeved shirt, a reddish brown one with the familiar skull symbol printed on it near the middle.
"Thinking of kids, eh? I can say it certainly came as a surprise that I'd be the sole guardian of 'Lij over there, but you get the hang of them. When there're two parents, I bet it's probably easier to handle them. Parenthood has really cut off my travelling, but I guess in more ways than one it has grounded me a lot." Finding himself rambling, he cuts it short. "Good luck to the both of you, though. I wouldn't trade in the uh, experience for the world. Had no choice in the beginning, sure, but 's'worth it."
As Elijah sat down beside him Ronin tried to hide his shiny at first.
Alright, he's the only one who talked to me...
The Simu changed his mind quickly and decided to show it to the other boy, who seemed so excited about seeing it. "It's my dagger. It was born with me." Ronin explained and handed it to Elijah. "Be careful, it's terribly sharp and dangerous, not everyone is able to handle it."
Kami, peeking into the place with a curious look on her little chubby face, pink pigtails moving with her head as she chanced to walk into the place and toward the others. Smiling at them, her short blue chiffon dress rustling at her thighs, pinkish shoes making no sound on the carpet.
Ronin got nervous as he saw his dagger in Elijah's hands and panicked. What if people weren't as nice as they seemed ? "Sorry, I...have to go." To many people around, definately. Lena would await him at home...
The young one grabbed his little knife and walked out of the door quickly.
"That right?" he asks, a little bewildered at the thought. Elijah wasn't born with anything special like a sharp little dagger. He handles it delicately as instructed, turning it over in his hands to examine the details more fully. "You gonna use it when you get old, or is it just to look nice?"
He doesn't always ask all the rest questions, but he assumes it's always better to ask and be denied than to never ask and lose out on the opportunity.
The door opened, and Aurora stepped into the shop quickly, brushing off snowflakes and shivering a little bit. "Stupid cold weather."
SHe didn't look behind her, tugging off the jacket as quickly as she could, and then the hat, and the gloves. All three were pushed onto a table, before Aurora turned around. And stared at the others. Some she knew, but some of them were new. And a boy walked past her with a dagger?
"Um, hi!" Aurora called, scratching her head.
"Oh? But he's an absolute sweetheart! I've helped take care of a lot of X's kids, since she was basically a single parent for a long time. Amazing woman, scary as hell... but amazing." Slush grinned even though it pained him to know that unlike Mauli had, Slush couldn't give Isto a biological child. At least he had Isto, and he thanked the gods every day for him.
Ura's attention had been on Zanna, who had her attention on him., when Kami arrived. "Ho woah.." He jumped when the door opened close to him. His body slid to the left, his mismatched eyes a bit wide but more over the over all brightness of the small girl. Wow, that was a lot of pink and in such a bright hue.
His body continued to inch left, trying to escape the attacking door and then he halted when the other teenager entered the room. A grin spread across his face, his eyes closed some as his head lowered a bit. He leaned into the wall more and looked into Aurora's direction, "Well, hello Aurora... it's been a while, ne?" Urahara replied to her cooly.
The pink blinded her as well, and she sneered at the putrid, ugly colored girl. Didn't this girl understand that while her colors were good for riding bikes on the highway at night, they were rather unpractical otherwise. And damned ugly too.
Her eyes flittered to the redhead once more and notice that his attention had been captured by another girl, a teen Simu. She had stole his attention from her. b***h. Zanna's eyes darkened as she made a mental note to teach that meddling girl a lesson when she grew up. Teach her to stick her dirty mop into her own business.
It was only when she turned her head away from the redhead and MopHair did she notice the winged boy sitting next to her, or rather on the same couch as her. "Where'd the kid with the knife go?"
Kami, spying Aurora come in the door and looking at the door in time to see the other almost seemingly red and black teenager was heading for it. Moving nimbly out of his way, she turned to watch Aurora and the red haired teen whom she didn't know his name.
"Hi, Aurora!" She chiruped happily to her friend. Obviously she was still in the grasp of her childish innocence, a certain glow about her. Not knowing what Zanna thought about her, she probably wouldn't care if she had said it to her face. She blinked at their words though.
"..a dagger?"
Aurora went a bit pale for a second, then red flooded into her cheeks as she stared at the other teenager. She hadn't noticed him there! ...he still looked just as good as ever too. "Uh... Hi, Ura! um... yeah it has been... and... um... how are you then? Hi Zanna."
Then she heard a happy call from nearby, and Aurora turned to look at the little girl. Kami always reminded Aurora of a bright flower with ribbons attached. "Hi Kami!"
Urahara couldn't help but smile more as he watched Aurora's reaction to him. He loved how he made her jump and blush, it was almost intoxicating how much power he had over her. And for a quick moment his gaze lingered on to Zanna but quickly back to the curly haired girl near him. "Oh, I'm doing rather well..." Came his reply, as if nothing at all was going on. He leaned his head back against the wall. He finally pulled one of hands out of his large coat and brought it up the the nape of his neck and pulled his tail of red locks forward.
"How have you been?" He finally asked the other teen, his lanky digits playing with his red hair absent-mindly. A thought suddenly crossed his mind but he quickly pushed it back; he could ask her a bit later about Itsuki .. it was far too much fun playing with Aurora than to get down to business.
Aurora went a bit redder when she made him smile, her mind whirling with semi-panicked thoughts. She still stared, and then went even redder again when she realized she was doing so. The waiting for his reply seemed to take years, and years...
"I'm great! ...I mean, I've been great." Aurora replied, managing to keep the squeak from escaping. "Um... yea, great. I'm glad you're doing well?"
She sat down nearby in a chair, reminding herself that she had to breathe. Now. And now... and now... Aurora twisted her head back up to him, and gave him a smile back, even if on the inside she was freaking out even more.
The pink haired little girl with cute pigtails just like her mother grinned at Aurora as she said hi back to her. It was fun watching the two talk, she didn't know why.
That smile seemed to remained plastered upon the teen's face and a satified gleam hit in his eyes. Ura was having way too much fun, oh yes, the way she stammered around him.. it made his heart sing.
"So.." He started, inching his way closer towards her. The pause continued, as he tried to think of something to talk about. Well, he could question her on the reason he came to the shop in the first place. She might know about this connection anywho. "Well, Miss Aurora ... you seem to know a lot about our kind." Another pause. He raised his hand to let his index finger tap upon his chin, still trying to think of the right words.
"Is there significance that my necklace was tied around a mirror?" That seemed like a good question. Itsuki had said thats how their items were before beind sold seperatly and chiri had remembered something of that nature when he had asked her.
Andn ow he was moving closer, and he was still smiling and still looking! Aurora went over those few details in her head, trying to find some meaning to match his actions. It wasn't working very well, her mind too busy being numb to think.
"So." Aurora repeated, and looked away. Should she have done that? "I... maybe?"
He complemented her! ...Was it one? Aurora couldn't tell. And it took her a few long moments to get her mind around his question, and finally, she answered with a very intelligent, "Um," followed by, "Well... I guess... no one knows? They both had a really... really strange feeling when you looked at them, like, they both ... could give you the same feeling, like they were connected...?"
The smile finally dissolved from Urahara's face and was replaced with a frown from her response. She didn't seem to know after all. Damn. He watched her all the while, his brows scrunching together in mild confusion on what she was even stammering about. Well, he got it in the most part, he was well aware of the feeling he gave off towards other people. But, it wasn't the information he was really hoping for.
"Um." He replied in a same intelligent manner as the other teen. "That wasn't really exactly what I was referring to." He paused and took a deep breathe. Well, he'd probably have to explain it another way. "I met the boy who came out of the mirror that my necklace was wrapped around ... and, there seemed to be a connection.." a pause, "I could feel one.. something deep." Another pause, but more for a response from her. Ura's gaze rested on her and almost bore into her. He wanted to know what it all meant, dammit.
"Oh." Aurora went redder still, if that was possible, feeling it creep down her neck. This wasn't fair! Why couldn't she think? "Uh... well, they both had the same feeling when you looked at them, they gave that feeling like they were connected. And when we found them, they were together, and when we found them it was really strange." Aurora shivered a bit, the memory of it replaying in her head. "Like it was dark in the room, but it wasn't, and they made the room feel evil. But when we separated them and moved them to different glass cases, they didn't make the room feel as evil. But I don't know, maybe there is a connection?"
Evil, huh? This made some of Urahara's smile return to his face. He was exactly sure why, but it made him feel estastic to be called evil... especially by pretty girls. Probably some power tripping, or some little reassurance he was actually tough. And her continuous blushing helped make him feel a little better all the while.
"Perhaps.." Was all he could think of as a reply. Maybe he'd have to talk to someone else, or maybe things could straighten out in time.
And now he was smiling again! Aurora relaxed finally, letting herself lean against the back of the chair and flop. "I'm sorry that I can't tell you more." She told Ura, careful to not look at him for fear she'd tense up again and go red again. "But you know that now?"
It was funny though, Aurora thought, how she didn't mind that his necklace was evil. It almost made her heart race even faster, and gave her the idea that the 'Girls like bad boys' thing had to be true. And another thing kept nagging at her mind... a feeling that grew, and grew, the more she relaxed.
"Oh, no no.. It's fine." Urahara sighed, waving his hand to pass off her apology. "You gave some helpful information... hopefully things will be answered at some point." He smiled more warmly, or at least as warm as he could actually get. The teen turned his head towards her, his gaze boring into her again, willing her to look at him.
"Okay." Aurora replied, not quite sure if she should or not. She didn't like her odd feeling, which was less flustered and embarrassed now, and more pure attraction... wasn't that a bad thing? She twisted her head sideways to look back, brushing the curls out of her face as she stared up. That feeling, combanated with the crush and her 'He's so cute!' thoughts...
Aurora flushed again, but it wasn't from embarrassment. She wasn't sure what it was, and jerked her head back down to look at her lap. It wasn't a issue of trying to fight embarrassment now... she had the really uncomfortable feeling of wanting to stand up and kiss him. One more glance sideways at the other teenager, and Aurora felt her self control slipping, her feet moving so that she started standing. She found herself walking over there, and kissed him. Hard. He really didnt' have much say in the matter!
Urahara's gaze lingered upon her. He simply watched her, as her gaze kept trying to escape his. He watched her actions, the way she brushed her curls out of her face and the continued flustered nature he put her through. He had to admit, it was rather cute but more, it made him feel like he had some control.
But.
He blinked, watching her raise from her chair. She was coming closer. What was she doing? His mismatched eyes widened with every inch she closed between them. Oh gawd, what was she doing? His paranoia suddenly kicked in and for the time being he loathed the trait he picked up from his guardian. His froze, his back straightened against the wall he was leaning on as if trying to find some way to go through it and escape. What-
And then the kiss.
Brain functioned stopped.
Everything was hazy and cloudy, and actually kinda nice. Sure, he really had no idea what the hell was going on and no idea how to react. His body suddenly relaxed against the wall, his eyes closed. The idea of kissing back crossed his mind, but .. his brain was too dead to really react in any way.
Kami, not wanting to interrupt, looked around for something to do while she waited patiently for the two to stop talking. Reddish orbs let their gaze wander all over the shop, rather cute when she didn't smile. Eyes landing on a pad of paper that covered a rather large expanse of wall markers, crayons, pencils in a little plastic container at the foot of the wall.
Walking over to it, her pink mary janes not making a sound as she walked upon the carpet that was there. Picking up a black crayon, she began drawing to her hearts content, not at all paying attention to anything that Aurora was doing.
Aurora didn't notice his reaction at first, her hands holding onto his sides as she pressed closer with all of her body. But the other half, the half that Aurora felt was more Kia kicked in and reminded her of something. He wasn't kissing back.
That half took voer then, and Aurora stumbled back, eyes wide and her face going a rosy red again. "...I... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to do that, it just ... it just took over! I'msorrygottagobye...!"
An then Aurora ran out of the door.
Urahara slowly was melting into puddy in the grasp of the other teen. Kissing ... was good, he finally decided after some brain functions began to reboot. He tried to get his head to clear, willing himself to kiss back.
But she pulled away and stumbled back. Urahara gasped, finally breathing and almost fell forward but somehow managed to regain balance. His cheeks were almost as flushed as hers, his eyes opened wide as he watched her in her frenzy. What had just happened? He blinked, taking in her apology. It? What was 'it'?
"Wait.." He managed to get out, attempt to will his arm to move. ".. what?" was what followed, confusion in his eyes as she ran out. There was silence and nothing from him until his body finally slid down the wall to meet with the floor. His legs stretched out and he heaved a heavy sigh. His face continued to contort in confusion, he should have kissed back. Damn it.
Zanna had watched the entire thing, a smile quirking wide across her lips as her eyes glistened with a sort of secret pride. Mophair apparently had no tact nor did she have any skills with men, something Zanna knew she wasn't lacking in.
"Having problems over there love?"
She was so highly amused by this situation that she had forgotten her sour mood, quickly replacing it with a more sadistic one. It made her so happy to see a man that had seemed so cocky earlier now in a emotional puddle of goo on the floor. Entertainment had been good to her tonight.
Catching Aurora running out of the shop at top speed, a confused look fell upon her face and she then looked at the black and red teen who seemed like he was as confused as she was. Pausing from her drawing, she walked over to him to gently poke him with her black crayon. "You okay?" Kami blinked down at him, not bright at all.
All the lanky teenager really wanted to do was sink into the ground at that moment. Not only had he totally blew it on his first kiss, but with a pretty girl too. And not only that, she had made him lose his cool and all his control over the situation.. and in front of others; which made it so much worse. All he could do was narrow his eyes in response to the other girl. He could tell in the way she spoke and the way she looked at him, that she could use this against him. s**t. shitshitshit.
And then there was poking. "What?" He growled to the insanely bright haired little girl, "I'm fine!" He replied in an equally annoyed tone. Gawd damn it. He pulled his legs up from their stretched position so he was now sitting indian style.
Urahara was losing control and he wasn't pleased.
She wrinkled her nose at Zanna's words, not liking her attitude when she had looked over to her and saw a smile that just didn't seem nice to Kami. Not having seen anything Aurora and Ura had done, she didn't take his words harshly at all for some reason, looking at Zanna instead. She blinked innocently. "Why are you so not nice?"
"Ah, Mr. Red hurt Aurora... Remember she ran out earlier? I could have sworn she was crying, and it was his fault." She shrugged towards Ura as she responded to Ms. Pink, a very believable pained smile covering her lips before she turned back to Ura and thought for a moment.
This was perfect. She'd have to thank Slush later because now she had very usable dirt on this cocky male, and it made her so very happy inside she could almost dance. When he narrowed his eyes it just made her smile even more inwardly because it proved that it got to him.
"You should be nice to her... only a little girl after all, and nicer to girls in general."
It was then that she stood up off the couch, slowly making her way over to the pile of teenage meltdown on the floor, smirking with every step.
"Boys shouldn't be mean to little princesses..."
Urahara wanted to break out and just reem on the other girl. ******** the fact that she was a mere child, though didn't seem to act as such, and give a piece of his mind. No harm had come to Aurora, what had happened was something out of their control.. or at least that's what the red head kept trying to tell himself. But he knew he hadn't hurt her in anyway ... his eyes narrowed further, boring into the the dark haired girl's. He couldn't lose his cool anymore or at least again, he couldn't .. that would further entise her; he wouldn't be a pawn in her little games. Urahara needed to regain control over the situation but all he could do was continue to glare.
His body relaxed as much as it could and slouched into the wall. He finally took his eyes off of Zanna and towards Kami but brought them back again. He continued to remain silent and folded his arms against his chest.
Kami managed to blink again at Zenna's words, wondering if she should believe her or not but Aurora was her friend and just the thought of anyone doing that to her espcially making her cry well she just couldn't handle it.
"She did run out earlier, was she crying? I can't remember if she was or not." Looks pointedly at Ura who was still slumped on the floor.
Zanna's eyes seemed to chuckle as they stared upon his futile attempts at calming down. She saw how pissed he had been, itching to come after her and beat the hell out of her, and now he was attempting to cover it up quite poorly. That was one thing X had taught her, and that was how to read people.
Another was how to manipulate them, well she tought her to refine her skills that seemed to come almost natural to her.
It was time for her to have a conversation with this Aurora girl, make friends with MopHair. She could prove useful to her. X was always telling her the values of connections.
The Simu child eyed Ms. Pinky, making sure she looked very hurt and betrayed as she nodded in agreement to the girl's statement before her eyes moved to Ura's slumped form. "I do believe she was crying. She did run away rather quickly... either way she had a hurt and embarassed look on her face... Poor thing."
All around him, Urahara could feel the slip of control through his fingertips. He silently cursed to himself as he watched Zanna and her snide comments and her little act. It was working, more on the little pink haired girl beside him. To him, it was making any sense of getting back into the game become something of impossible. It was making him lose his temper and lose any sight of his own innocent act.
As Zanna had learned something from her caretaker, Urahara was at a lose. He had learned nothing from chirigami thus far, feeling more in the dark about anything he tried to comprehend. If he managed to get out of this alive, he knew he had to corner her at some point and get something out of the airhead.
But, for now... he had to gain some ground. His eyes softened from their glare and just simply looked upon the girl. If he was going to act, he needed to think of something now. Something, anything to shut the girl up. Truthfully, he wished she'd mind her own business in things she couldn't comprehend, but for now he had to fight fire with fire.
He closed his eyes and inhaled only to pause and then exhale. "You seem to recognize those looks well enough, na?" He began coolly in a soft tone; uncrossing his arms and propping himself up against the wall a bit better. He paused and then raised his eyes to her once again, just... staring. "Tell me, did you enjoy the show? or rather what you're making of it?" He questioned the girl with a sugar-coated smile as his fingers ran through the tail of red hair hanging off his shoulder.
She looked shocked, an act of course, but a very believable one considering she wanted to die laughing at that very moment. When she spoke, the Simu made sure to sound offended and disgusted even. "Could you not see how hurt and embarassed that you made 'Rora with your obvious fumbling and lack of control?"
Of course she enjoyed the 'show' that he and the Mop girl had provided her, served her right for interrupting her conquest, but she wasn't going to admit that in front of Pinky. Unless she could twist his words to suit her needs. Yes that should work just fine. "Did I enjoy watching you make an a** out of yourself before, during, and after? Yes. Did I enjoy watching you hurt that sweet girl? Of course not! You're sick to even fathom that I could enjoy such a thing!" Her disgusted look continued, her frown arcing downwards even more as she addressed the second 'question.' If she could, she'd throw some fake tears into the mix, but that would be overkill.
...Suckers.
Caught in between the two, she nodded in agreement to Zanna. "..Poor Aurora" That was all she said before Ura finally started to talk. Worried look still upon her face, the pink haired simu worrying for her friend, obviuosly written in her red orbs.
Urahara never picked up what Kami had said, the little girl was forgotten in him mild. His smile remained upon his face and only widened as Zanna spoke. Soft fingers lingered upon his lips, where Aurora and all this had started in the first place. He simply snorted to her 'offended' rattlings. "I fail to see how my 'fumbling' was the cause of her distress," He began in a snooty voice, even doing the air quotes on the word fumbling. "or how it would be my fault even if that were the case."
He chuckled lightly, pushing his palms against the ground to finally stand up. He passed the idea of leaning against the wall again but took up taking a step closer to dark haired girl. Mismatched eyes twinkled as he now looked down upon her. "Sometimes, things as sweet as kisses can leave a man, even such as myself speechless. You're learn these things when you're older and maybe more full in figure."
Ura tilted his head to the side, a look of wonder on his feature. "Now, I'm curious... where did you learn to act so well? You say you've enjoyed my mistakes yet you act so shocked and hurt~" A lanky digit stroked the contour of her cheek before it circled down to her chin to raise it, allowing him to lower his face to almost meet hers, "Why do i find it hard to believe that you'd be at all empathetic with a sadistic little mind like that..." Came a whisper near her cheek.
"Your fumbling, and inexperience caused the skittish one to panic when she realized her gesture was not returned... If you really could manipulate her, than you would have made the right moves to keep her here. Keep her... wanting you shall we say..."
Her voice drawled out the words, as if bored to tears by having to explain to the red head what exactly him and his inexperience had led him into this 'show' as he had called it. Like Ura, Zanna had seemingly forgotten Kami and didn't really continue her act, since the idea had already been set and was growing as they spoke. Zanna's eyes followed his movements with precision. He was much bigger than her and though that had not stopped her in the past, she could still sense the vibe that came from him, and that may include some rather nasty traits in battle that she did not want to see till her growth. When she could properly kick his a**.
Man? Now he was rambling about being a man and 'sweet kisses'? She didn't know about him but Mop didn't seem to have given him a 'soft' kiss, instead it seemed more passioned, like the ones she often sees at home between either Jack and X or the 'boys', Isto and Slush. Those types of kisses usually meant one of a few things, and 'soft' wasn't usually the right adjective to describe those activities.
"Well...'Man'... I'm glad you have a romantic weakness, but that girl did not give you any soft, tender, or 'sweet' gesture of the sorts. Instead she threw herself at you in a blind, passionate kiss..." She then snerked during the pause at his last statement, eyes gleaming with amusement. "Funny thing, ironic you may say, is that I'm indeed older than you, though I may not look it. I just haven't grown physically yet, and my body just needs to catch up with my mind..." The Simu decided to not comment on the 'full figure' remark, deciding that he would indeed see her drop dead 'figure' when she finally does grow, and then he can eat his words.
Her eyes darkened and changed from a deep royal purple to an adgitated black when he touched her, though her voice remained rather calm when she spoke, smirking slightly in lazy amusement. "I can 'feel' whatever one wants me to feel... If I allow it first, or if it suits my needs. That is not to say that I cannot hold those feelings on my own accord, it's just that they may need to be covered up for the greater service..." She trailed off some with a light chuckle before continuing, ignoring the finger under her chin. "Each articulate word and well preformed statement has a specific consequence, and it is an art to be able to formulate such a concotion of words, phrases, and well planned actions into creating the desired result..."
"I learned this all, if you must know, from my 'mother' of sorts, X. She is my guardian, and very useful in that role, teaching me many things." The 'older' Simu's hand finally, and quickly, snapped upwards to grab his wrist and pull it forcefully away from her face. "Touch me again... and you will feel not only my wrath, but that of my guardian's. Believe me, angry vampires are not to be reckoned with. Are we understood?"
Urahara replied nothing, there was silence as his mind filtered her words. He instead took to looking upon his wrist that she has forceably removed. It flicked once, to get the sensation of her action off and then returned to his coat pocket. The teen let out a small 'hmm' and turned his gaze towards Zanna once more.
He took her in for once, just looking at her. The thin line of his mouth frowning as he studied her. Being as the situation was, he had never taken it into consideration that she was indeed older than him but having heard her speak and seen her actions, he began to believe it to be true. Though, in all honesty he really didn't give a damn. No matter how old she was or what she looked like, the little girl was really beginning to get on his nerves.
"I humbly admit to my mistakes, 'inexperience' as you call it. But it doesn't mean Aurora is totally lost." He paused, a little for dramatics and a bit as he attempted to rethink the kiss in his head. Indeed as he was inexperienced with romantics and kisses, he felt something .. odd about Aurora's kiss. It was that it was hard and passionate, but there was.. just.. something. He frowned further, deciding against continuation of the subject. As for the rest of what she said, it had gone by in a slow drull to him that he had pretty much tuned it out. Zanna really liked hearing the sound of her voice, didn't she... Ura's eyes rolled once and shrugged his shoulders. "... 'che."
The thought of meeting a vampire would be rather interesting though, even if she was the 'mother' of this little heathen. Probably was a better parent than chirigami ... damn, he really had drawn the short end of the stick, hadn't he. He'd have to corner his guardian about things sooner or later now.

[arpee from january 18]
Adrian was not one to blend into the snow too well, with or without clothes, and his coated figure was easily spotted from far away, if anyone were to look.
Despite the cold and all the...white, Adrian wasn't in too bad of a mood. In fact, this Simu was in a rather good mood, having just come back from shopping with some of X's money, which he had 'borrowed' from her purse. Yes, and now HE was the new owner of a gun! There were a few other things as well, but the gun was most important, because every badass had to have a gun.
X had two, and that meant he needed to steal... borrow more money from the wench.
Urahara didn't much pay attention to the snow beneath him. He was in all honesty getting rather sick of it, but tried not to let it get to him. It would melt eventually, he figured, and thankfully the other pedestrians and the like were making it a lot easier to get around. He let out a small sigh, drowning in the series of clicks coming from his boots hitting the pavement.
Drowned in his own thoughts, he never noticed the odd voice in the back of his mind trying to tell him another Simu was around. He had better things on his mind, really and wasn't much in the mood. Though, lost in though he did manage to sidestep around the other Companion before any collision occured between the two. But not before accidently bumping the other teen with his shoulder. 'sorry' He grunted in a low tone, still staring at the concreat below him.
His thoughts were so rudely interrupted by the bump and the rude grunt of an 'apology'. Didn't ******** anyone have manners around here anymore?
Before he could move any further, the black Simu reached out and caught hold of the redhead's shoulder, making a 'tutting' sound with his tongue. "Got a ******** problem seeing? I mean really... how the ******** could you miss ME in these conditions?"
The obsidian irises flicked over the other boy's missmatched ones in annoyance as he took a step closer to use his taller height to his advantage. "Now ******** say your sorry like you mean it..." His tone had smoothed out, and he was now smirking lightly as he waited for his response, hand keeping a good grip on the shorter one's shoulder.
Several curses rushed through Urahara's thought process. What the hell was with this guy? Was he having a bad day, trying to release frustration on something so frivolous as this? People bumped into each other all the time, and Ura had stuff on his mind. His eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance, glancing from the hand on his shoulder and to the owner of said hand.
Letting the string of questions go past him without a word, he just sort of stared at the taller teen. Huh, someone taller than him, he thought to himself and this guy was so very black. If Urahara had been paying attention earlier, he probably would have thought the same as the questions asked. All the while, still not paying attention to that little voice in the bakc of his head.
Again, his eyes flicked to the hand gripping his shoulder. The red head sighed and put on his best innocent smile. "I'm sorry," He began, sugar coating the hell out of his tone, "I should have payed more attention." With that he gave Adrian a bright smile with his eyes closed and a tilt to his head.
"Mn... Good boy..." The black hand moved to pat the shorter boy on the head with a smug grin. There was something different about this guy, Adrian too was getting the nagging voice in the back of his head, but since he did not come from the store, he had no clue that he was a Simulacra.
He took a step back to study the boy more closely, and to anyone else it'd look as if he were checking the other teen out, which may or may not have been true, it was hard to tell. "You feel familiar... Do I know you?"
The fact that Adrian couldn't put his finger on this feeling was really starting to tick him off, what was with this little b***h anyways?
Holy s**t, it worked! His mind set exclaimed in glee, no no.. that was too giddy. 'Excellent'... it said instead ala Mr. Burns. But, the patting was something he wasn't liking. Urahara's forced chipper smile turned to a frown and his eyes opened only to narrow...
and then only to widen in surprise at the expection being done by the other buy. Wa-was this guy checking him out? Panic buttons sounded in his head, his eyes darted about hoping to not find any alleys anywhere that this guy could possibly shove him in and.... do stuff. 'Oh, thank gawd.. there are none...' He mentally sighed in relief.
-wait, what? Ura blinked puzzled, his mind went slightly blank as if trying to think he he even knew this guy. If he did, he would probably be able to place him... he didn't know very many people let alone those of being almost entierly black in color. "No..." Was all he could think of of a response. Then he thought about it more and finally the little voice in the back of his head got a say in the matter. The red head took a better look at the other teen and blinked, now that he thought about it...
".. a Simulacra..?" He asked himself in almost a whisper. Could it? Could be... wait. huh.
He blinked when the boy seemed to get a bit skitterish, and then went into a rather confused type of emtion. This guy was amusing him! For the moment, he just continued to study him, taking in every detail and storing it away for future use.
Out of habit, Adrian slipped his tongue out of his mouth to moisten his lips ever so slightly, the smirking gleam still in his dark eyes. "No... Maybe I didn't get a good look at your face. More focused on other areas..." Well the guy HAD to be skittish about something, and maybe this was it. Time to play a game of hide and seek with this boy's thoughts.
"Simulacra?" He smoothly transitioned from one subject to another, giving Ura a look of intent intrest, though it couldn't be told whether the look pertained to just the Simulacra subject, or to something a bit... more.
Urahara's eyes went a little wider and he managed to take a step back from the other teen. The lewd comments were slowly getting to him, creeping him out. This was no really not the time to be paranoid, he kept trying to tell himself. He needed to calm down, to regain control over his brain; this is what had gotten him in mild trouble with Zanna.. he couldn't let that happen again.
Slowly his other foot allowed him to take another step back and he inhaled, trying to regain his center. Calm down. His gaze fell upon Adrian once more, getting a better look. His mind tried hard to pass over the comments; to try and not freak himself out again... besides, it wasn't that bad a guy might be hitting him.... right? His mouth thinned to a frown and his eyes closed slightly in thought once more; but more of an attempt to distract him from that look. Don't pay attention, his brain screamed. And oh, did he try not to.
"Yes..." He breathed out slowly, "You seem to have a similar feeling like the others I've met. It's a bit different, though." His voice was calming, or hell he was trying to keep it that way.
Sweet, he was creeping the other man out by coming onto him, so when Ura stepped back, Adrian mimicked the steps foreward, cocking his head to the side with a soft smirk as he finally recognized this man. This is going to be fun. "You have a... feeling?"
An eyebrow quirked and he licked his lips once more, his hand moving towards Ura as he kept eye contact with the other Simu. "And what about these... Others?"
'Just keep talking, keep him distracted on your face.' Soon enough, their faces were inches from eachother's, a sadistic grin smirking on his lips before all of a sudden, his fingers hooked around the redhead's belt and he yanked the other teen to him.
With a smooth motion, the black Simu pulled the shorter teen's lips into his, kissing him with a planned passionate fashion. It wasn't so bad.
"Yeah..." Urahara started, watching Adrian skeptically. "Others ...." What the hell was this guy doing? Why was he following his moves? Oh gawd, could he stop licking his lips for once? It was so nerve recking - gawd dammit, he was losing control again. He needed to calm down, he really did. Maybe, if he kept talking, he could get the other teen to shut up for once and maybe get some ground here.
Unfortunatly the plan never got a chance to get off the ground. Before he knew it, Ura was pulled in by his belt and pulled into his second kiss. What. The. Hell. DangerDanger! The warning bells sounded within seconds of the contact True, half of his brain was telling him that this did feel really good, but that side really wasn't winning the round. It was only a few seconds before he just couldn't take it any longer. Ura did the only thing he could think of doing, he placed his hands upon the other teen's chest and pushed him off. "Gah!" He gasped.
He narrowed his eyes at the other boy, "What the ******** are you doing?" he screamed.
"Testing a theory." He said simply, as if nothing had happened, a smirk the only evidence that the kiss had even occured. No matter the fact that Ura was a guy, a kiss was a kiss and sex was sex, and it didn't matter who it was with as long as the goal was accomplished.
"Ura right?" Adrian waited for his reaction before continuing, running a black hand through his sky colored hair in a smooth motion. He had the two different eyes, the red hair... this had to be him.
"Zanna told me about you... A very amusing story love..." The taller Simu was happy that he had crack this one, and all he had to do was kiss the rather attractive boy. Simple enough. With a chuckle, he brushed his hand into the air and flipped his hair back out of his face. "She was right... you can't handle kissing..."
Huh? That didn't make much sense, a theory? What theory? And how the hell did this guy know his name? Ura narrowed his eyes further, getting on the defensive as he watched Adrian in silence. He took in a few deep breathes but again, all seemed to blow up in his face when he heard.. that .. name.
Zanna.
The red head nearly growled upon hearing that name. How the hell did she fit into all of this? Ura's frown deepened, his eyes just staring into Adrian. Couldn't lose it again, even with the mentioning of her. He took in another breathe, "And how the hell do you know Zanna?" He asked, trying to yet again keep his voice calm.
"Little b***h lives with me actually." He wasn't exactly fond of the little X look alike, but that didn't mean that Adrian was scared of her. Not in the least, X was far more terrifying. An eyebrow finally cocked in Ura's direction as he quirked the corner of his mouth into a half smile. "It was an interesting story though... And this 'Rora' girl, where can I find her?"
The black Simulacra would've leaned back against something smoothly if there had been something to lean on, but alas he was out of luck there. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his newly bought baby, spinning it with the safety on around his finger, a slightly bored look on his features.
For a brief moment, Urahara actually felt sorry for the other teen. Having to live with the little b***h? Harsh. The red head would have smiled, until Adrian asked his next question which in turn only deepened Ura's frown. In all honesty, he wasn't sure what to respond. He really had no idea, the few times they had crossed paths were by mere chance. "What would you want with a girl like her, anyway?" He questioned the other, crossing his arms.
Pause. "And as you have the pleasure of knowing my name, what would yours be?" He asked, his frown twitching into a small smile. Then the gun appeared, which raised one of his thin red eyebrows, "compensating for something?"
"Probably the same thing you want, considering how defensive you already are..." He smirked, this girl must be as hot as Zanna claimed her not to be when the story of the three was told. Perfect, since X was a no go he needed a hot girl for a bit of playtime for now.
Change of subject time. "Name's Adrian... pleasure." The next comment actually caused him to laugh, loudly as his amused eyes came to rest on the missmatched ones. When he finally stopped laughing, his grin formed into a seductive smirk whilst he walked towards Ura. "We can always find out the hard way if you wish... My pleasure."
Urahara hummed in irritation with all things considering. Dammit, Aurora was his; she was his puddy to mold and he wasn't very keen on someone else trying to set their sights on her. s**t. (Ura would like to again take this time to curse out chiri for again, being a lame a** as well as useless.)
And the irritation continued, watching the other laugh but he stood his ground when their eyes met again. Ura looked into the deep obsedian eyes and kept them there even as the taller boy closed the gap between them. "No thank you," Ura let out a small sigh and began to drum his finger tips upon his shoulders, "I think I have better things to do with my time than to find out if your barrel is as loaded as you claim it is. Besides, I'm sure you'll get more pleasure by youself, anyway..."
It was around that moment that Aurora stumbled upon the two teenage boys.
It had been earlier that morning, and while Aurora did her obsessive exercise, she felt an urge to go outside for a walk. She hadn't even had a reason earlier, but for some reason, she felt like it was a good day to go for a walk.
And now she stood there, barely a metre away, her face flushed from the chill air and both yellow eyes wide, as she took in the two boys.
Ura, she knew. She'd been avoiding him, embarrassed by the last time they'd met up.
But the other boy, Aurora didn't know him. At least, she couldn't rememeber talking to him, but she DID feel an odd connection. Aurora wasn't sure what to call it, so she stared a bit more, both hands dropping by her sides. If she'd have been a little less shocked, she may have easily figured out that it was more of a 'Simu-connection'.
Adrian was about to make another smug response to the shorter boy, but he was interrupted by a strange feeling, or was it a voice, in the back of his head. For reasons unknown, he turned towards the 'source' and saw the other teen, 'Rora probably, standing but a few meters away. Perfect.
Once his eyes caught hers, he smirked deviously and then moved towards her without even a sideways glance to Ura. "Beautiful..." He murmered when he finally reached her, his much darker hand reaching to clasp hers and bring it oh so gently up to his lips, pressing a light kiss there before pulling back to introduce himself. "My name is Adrian... and it's a pleasure..."
He seemingly murred the last words out, eyes twinkling with something, may it be mischief, attraction, or something else. Either way, he was most definately enjoying this dainty girl, and he wasn't going to let this Ura guy hog the lovin'.
Oh really, this was just marvolous really. Best day ever for the red head! First he was kissed for the second time and then Aurora shows up with the other guy probably undoing all he had worked so hard to set into the girl. dammit! Ura grumbled under his breath and turned his daze towards the ground. He couldn't panic. Besides, what had the one few books that chiri had in her collection teach him? Not to Panic, it was written on the damn first page after all.
Urahara returned his gaze towards the two and remained silent and watchful. His eyes still piercing, glaring at Adrian's back. He could possibly play the mysterious one in the background, Rora already knew him after all... so didn't need to really be all jumpy at her. He didn't need to make any point about himself to the girl. So, he just stood back and watched.
Aurora hadn't expected the dark skinned teenager to approach her. She hadn't even expected him to speak to her! So when he called her beautiful, her already pink cheeks flushed a dark red and she glanced at Ura uncertainly, as if not sure how to react. Her eyes darted back to Adrian, and she replied quietly, "I'm... Aurora."
Then she stood there, slightly enchanted by the boy, the look in his eyes drawing Aurora in somehow. And that feeling of a connection only made her feel even more effected by this...this.... whatever he was doing.
She glanced back up at Ura, and called feebly, "Um.... hello." Then she looked away, still embarrassed by the one way kiss. "How are... are you both?"
Ah there it was, the reason why Ura seemed to like her so much. This girl was quite pliable in a good looking man's hands, and both he and Ura were rather attractive, him being moreso of course. Proverbial puddy in ones' hands. "Beautiful name to match as well..." He purred softly to her.
His obsidian orbs flickered back to Ura's when Rora spoke to him, an eyebrow swiftly raising in his direction, partially because he hadn't spoken yet.
Though his attention finally did return to Rora with a soft smile, Adrian's hand moving from where it currently reside, up her arm, down her back, and then around her waist with a murr. "You looked cold..." The Simu explained with a warming smile.
The more Urahara really listened to the darker boy, the more he came to realize what utter cheeze was spilling out from his mouth. The red head's mismatched eyes suddenly rolled and he let out a sigh. Good gawd, were those the oldest and worst pick up lined ever, but truth be told... they actually seemed to work on the girl.
The teen watched the two and suddenly couldn't help but frown; partly because of Adrian's lame yet somehow smooth talk and also the look Aurora given him. It almost sent a crushing blow to his chest, the way she had addressed him in a troubled tone.
"Hello, Aurora." Urahara bowed his head, pulling a small yet forced smile upon his face. He really needed to talk to her, he had decided, but really couldn't with this a** around. Hm. Needed to think of something.
The hand had caused Aurora to shiver, and go even redder. She shifted on both feet, unsure if she should do something too. This wasn't fair! The magazines didn't tell her how to cope with these situations! Aurora wanted to write to one, and tell it off, but at the moment, she was glued to the spot.
She snapped out of it a little when she saw Ura roll his eyes and sigh, and Aurora shifted from foot to foot as she glanced sideways at Adrian. He was good looking, and no one had called her beautiful before. But then, Ura was also good looking, and ... this wasn't fair!
Flustered now, and feeling like her mind had just frozen over for the moment she smiled weakly. "I... well, it's winter. No one's hot... I mean, no one's warm."
Aurora made a mental note to check her magazines the second she got home.
Man, this one was a ...twitchy one it seemed, but that was okay because she was still hot and very easily manipulated. Finding this position not to his taste, Adrian shifted the other teen so that she was in front of him and facing Ura, and due to their height difference, the black Simu rested his chin on the top of her head, inhaling the scent of it with a smirk towards the other male.
He hadn't meant this to be too much of a competition, but when Ura had gotten so obviously razzled at the fact that he was 'stealing his girl'. Now his thoughts were, 'why disappoint the boy,' so instead of backing off, he proceeded foreward with his simple seduction.
His arms wrapped around her waist as a casual motion for him, though he doubted spazzy in front of him would think it that way. It didn't seem to take much to turn this girl into a pile of confused, stuttering goo, which was good for him because that meant he didn't have to pull out all the stops, and Ura could keep thinking he was lame whilst rolling his eyes at him.
He didn't mind, since he had 'his' girl in his own arms at the moment. "Better...?" Adrian mused in his lower octave, refering to the changed position and whatnot.
And the actual slight smile that Urahara had was once again turned into a frown. He nearly forced his eyes to not narrow at the sight of Adrian drapping himself all over Aurora; and in some ways not to either throw up or burst out laughing.. but more of the former at the moment.
He needed to act soon, but most of his ideas had flown out the window with the darker teen's sudden shift of position. Damn. He looked at Adrian questionably and then returned his gaze towards Aurora, trying to gauge her response.
Aurora shuddered against the teenager's body, melting into him and his arms as if she was nothing more than butter. This wasn't fair, she thought as she tried to prevent a goofy grin from plastering on her face. She liked it too much, and it scared Aurora more than anything else did... if Ura wasn't here, she knew she'd probably surrender to this. Softly, she answered, "Mmhmm..."
But Ura was here, and Aurora was torn. And she knew she had to talk to Ura, and consult someone who knew about this kind of situation, so she gently unpeeled Adrian's arms, and stepped away.
SHe turned to give him a shaky smile, telling Adrian, "I've got to talk with Ura, Adrian... but I hope we talk again soon." Aurora's face glowed bright red, as she found herself unsure if that was too direct or not.
Emotions really stank, it was confusing! Aurora stepped backwards, almost bumping into Ura as she did.
He raised an eyebrow when Adrian felt the added weight sink into him, but he simply murred softly in response. His eyebrow raised even higher when she exited his arms, but he made no other facial expression to indicate unhappiness. Ura didn't deserve the pleasure.
Instead he chuckled and ran a hand through his hair before catching her arm gently in the same hand shortly afterwards. "Hold on..." Adrian's voice wasn't overly demanding, but it still held some definate control in it as his left hand fished down into his pockets, a smug grin appearing when he found one of X's perminant markers he had stolen to write on Zanna earlier.
With that, he took her hand and carefully, but swiftly, scribed his cell phone number down on it, along with his name. It was written in his Greek form without a second thought. Now he was happy that he had bought a cell phone with X's money, and he was damn sure to put it to good use.
"Beautiful, this is my cell number. Call me if you ever need anything, and if a woman picks up... it's my guardian of sorts..." His attention briefly turned to Ura's with a light, yet cocky, smile and a bow, "And it was good to meet you Ura... I shall be off before the free food gets cold..."
And with that, the black Simu headed in the direction of X's house, humming happily to himself as he finally tucked the pen back away in his pocket. "This shall be... most interesting..."
Urahara suddenly felt odd and ... hurt watching Aurora melt into the other boy and murmur her response. Why was he feeling so odd, what was going on with him? Why was he so uppity about this? He only though of Aurora as a pawn, something he could mold. Yet, his eyes softened a bit, watching the two yet only to open in surprise as she stepped out of the dark teen's grasp.
So.. she wanted to talk about that. Truth be told, he did as well, but really wasn't sure how to approach it. He continued to frown, thinking it over, and continued to watch as Adrian scribbled something upon Aurora's hand with a marker.
"... nice meeting you, Adrian." Urahara's eyes finally narrowed with a hint of disdain upon his voice, watching the other companion take his leave.
He suddenly let out a small shudder and closed his eyes. It took a small moment for him to regain his composure and open his mismatched eyes towards Aurora. "You, wanted to talk?" He asked her in a low voice.
Aurora watched Adrian walk off, the hand with the number frozen in mid-air. But finally, as if shaking off sleep, she blinked a few times and stepped towards Ura, the hand falling beside Aurora as she turned her full attention onto him only.
"Yea..." She answered quietly, embarrassment flooding back into her as the kiss replayed in her head. "Um... is there somewhere better we could go though? Like, somewhere warmer?"

The television lights flickerd from image to image, bouncing off Ura's face. But, he simply stared unfocused as the imagines changed, eyes half open and dulled. The teen felt drained, not really physically as he had done little to nothing the whole day but more of a mental drain. And perhaps a bit of a broken heart. Oh, he was fine yesterday to some sense. Even with the unwatnted meeting with Adrian and the later comings of Aurora, he had managed to find some grounding of what happened. Sure, he was mentally kicking himself for being such a spazz, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it now. Maybe, try and not to turn to mush the next time; try being a very key word there.
It all unfortunaly went a bit down hill later in the day. She had said she would come by last night to discuss whatever she wanted to discuss; what Ura figured to be the kiss. Aurora never showed and Ura's mood turned a bit sour and somber. Was he stood up? Him? It was an bit odd for the girl to not meet up with him, she seemed like such a pawn in his hands. She was puddy and seemed to be the type who would come by earlier than the set time; just because it was him.
But, she never showed.
Ura wasn't clear why he was so apprehensive of her coming over, over the kiss and especially of his attitude when Adrian was there hanging all over his girl. Did he like Aurora or something? Oh, no that couldn't be it. She was simply a play thing. The teen let out a snort at the thought and then returned to his silence.
But, maybe he did and that's why he was in front of the television right now, dead to the world around him. He had found out yesterday why the blonde had missed coming over, why he was sitting alone yesterday curious of her absence. It had been the most unlikly source which turned into the most unlikly happenings.
Zanna had found out and she told Ura. Any hindered thoughtf of his attraction to Aurora were surfaced, he did like her, didn't he. Everything about her, she was a sweet girl and a beautiful sight to take in. But now? How could he like someone like that? It was a crushing blow, it was unforgivable.
His heart ached, his head swimming but numb. Eyes still unfocused as he still continued to process the basics. Now there was an alliance with Zanna, the television was on, the couch was comfy and he had to get over Aurora.

He hadn't moved for days. It was seriously beginning to worry chirigami.
Not that it wasn't before, it had the first few hours she noticed him, but the two rarly communicated as it was so... she didn't think much of it to be honest. Well, she was first afraid he was trying to play with her mind, making her more paranoid, but after a while it just seemed weird and concern grew.
chiri watched Urahara from the kitchen, lips pursed together and eyes a bit wide and filled with worry. He was still dressed in the same thing he had been wearing before; a simple pair of black pajama bottoms and a grey tshirt. His hair free form their usual elastic band and rested upon his shoulders, unwashed and tangled. On his lap rested the head of Gaara in a protective manner, not caring that there was a full bag of Doritos rested against his back. It was a cute sight, she had to admit ... but didn't suit the teen at all. - not like she really knew what did.
Ura... just sat there. At first chiri had thought he had gone catatonic on her, but then every so often he'd reach into the bag of chips and eat it slowly. At least he was alive, she figured. And so, chiri just stood at a distance and watched him. She had done that the day before as well as the previous, the concern growing.
'Don't push it... he'll come to you if he's in trouble. Won't he?' She debated internally, unsure. Oh, like she knew how to handle teenagers, she could barely understand her sensei's son and really tried not to. She should have, she realized, so many she could have been prepared for this. But she hadn't and now she was at a loss. chiri shifted where she stood, crossing her arms under her chest, Mr Tail curled around her ankles in a small attempt to comfort her. Red eyes flicked to the small goat creature on the counter, trying to get something out her her. Suika shrugged, "I dunno..." she said, turning to her previous activities.
chiri's red eyes flickered to the floor for a brief moment before she pushed herself off the counter stop's edge and headed towards her room.
Ura remained where he was, not having noticed his guardian had been watching him all the while. It ... was almost nice not doing anything nor caring in the least. Just him, the teevee, Gaara and some good chips -granted they had artifical cheese on them, but he didn't give a damn at that moment. His gold eye twitched suddenly, spotting movement to the left side. But, he payed no mind, eyes still forward.
It was just nice not to move -he was sure by now he had an awesome assgroove in the couch- and uplifting to watch the other people in the world suffer - again, chiri has no cable, he was forced to watch the news all day. The pain of others was definatly making him feel better. Just doing nothing was making him feel better. The teen was still bitter and sulky but he was just glad he never turned into a blubbering mess like a girl or something. Ura would never forgive himself if that happened and Zanna would probably kick his a**.
- speaking of which, he hadn't seen the crazy hulky girl in a while, when he was done being a blob on the couch he should probably check in with her ... yeah, one day.
Topic at hand, mm.. Doritos. Ura never realized how good they were. He popped another in his mouth and crunched the chip to bits as hard as he could. The only thoughts in his mind to turn the solid into mush and swallow. Gaara suddenly stretched and turned his head upon the teen's lap, but Ura payed him no mind nor did he any of the other movements from the Cait.
"Ura?"
Said teen tilted his head in the direction of the voice, his dull mixmatched eyes turned upward and just stared at chirigami. He watched her fidgit uncomfortably, watched her eyes almost water when they met his, her lips turn up in a bigger frown. Oh gawd, she was going to cry wasn't she...
"etou.." She said instead, holding out what looked to be a very small cup almost like a shot glass but made of fine white porcelean. Ura looked at her, then at the cup and raised an eyebrow in question. Suddenly he noticed another in her hand as well as a larger porcelean bottle along with it.
"Some." She gulped, trying to stop herself from stuttering her sudden bout of wisdom. "Sometimes things happen for a reason."
Urahara blinked up at her some more, watching her hold out the cup a little further towards him, inviting him to take it. Hand raised, fingering the cup and taking it from her grasp. He pulled it closer, eye level to look into the contents; a hint of cherry struck his senses. And then he glanced back up at her, still questioning her. "I... thought this might cheer you up. I know it used to cheer me up, when whatever happened." A half hearted smile completing the gesture.
"It's not going to kill you, it's good."
Ura blinked again, attention now back to the cup. Then, without much thought, placed the edge of the saucer to his lips and drank... and then coughed.
"what the hell was that?" He almost gaged, sending Gaara off his lap in surprise. His tongue ran across the roof his his tongue, trying to figure out the taste. It was a bit sweet, a hint of cherry as the aroma suggested and a bit grainy.
"Sake." chiri squeaked, fingering her own glass. Her eyes shot quickly to the floor, unable to continue with her explanation. Sometimes sake was good for the soul - or at least alchohol on general - it eased pain even for a few hours - especially if drank in moderation. He didn't like it, her heart sank. Attempts at bonding .......... failed.
Ura stared at her, she had just given him alcohol? What the hell? His eyes went wide as she took a sip of the sake in silence. He frowned, eyes returning to their half closed state. "It wasn't that bad." Truth. It wasn't, it was just surprising that she would actually give him alchohol. chiri wasn't the wisest in situations but the look in her reaction to his seemed like she intended well. "Just.. surprising." So, this was supposed to help, huh? He glanced back down at the cup upon the lingering liquid then looked back up at her.
chiri nodded slowly, not looking up. "... it'll help. I think." She almost whispered, putting the bottle onto the coffee table in front of him. No other words came to her mind, she didn't know what else to say. She could just .. leave the sake there and hope he didn't drink the expensive brand ... or she could try to sit with him or something. She wasn't sure, she didn't know what to really do. chiri had never done anything like this really, well sensei had done this with her; he had sat with her and they drank sake... but she wasn't him and she didn't have the nerve for this. In a swift motion, she took a quick look at her charge and then turned to make a quick retreat.
"chiri..."
The red head froze and slowly turned her head around. She blinked, surprised to see a small smile upon the teen's face. It was small, half forced but... nice to see; almost made her break out into a grin. Ruin mood, don't. She stared.
"Thanks." Ura's eyes softened, a small spark of life hinting behind the dull dead gaze. Something had worked. chirigami broke out into a grin, not being able to resist.
"Um. If you need to talk, I'm here. kei?" Must not get giddy. Must not get giddy.
"'kay.." Came the soft reply, Ura turning his attention back ahead of him towards the television. His hand was still encased in the small cup of unfinished sake, his mind still intending to maybe finish it. But, chirigami was pleased none the less.

[ dream arpee with Rora - yar! avast! *poke!* ]
Another night, another dream. Aurora was almost used to it now.
Almost.
This one worried her a bit more than the last though, she was dumped in a 'crows nest'. Not the bird kind, but the ship kind, right next to a raggard and wet man. He ignored her, surprise surprise. She glanced down, dressed in the same. Clothes, that really looked like they'd been out of fashion... oh, she didn't know. Three hundred YEARS?
She glanced down, winced and tried to climb down. It took Aurora a while, and by the time she was down, she had rope burns on her palms and knees. She sighed, glared at the side of the ship when it sprayed water all over her, never a good thing with the more uncontrolable side, and hurried towards the nice looking cabin. This was just a dream, so the captian wouldn't care if she went inside.
It was when Rora was inside, and looking back out that she noticed something else. THey weren't English, or French, or ... what the hell was this ship, anyway? Reminded her of a movie...
How about that, Aurora thought amused as she turned and went into the Captian's quarters. She was on a pirate ship, of all the ships ever created.
The last thing Urahara remembered was the weather report coming on. chiri had said the sake wasn't strong enough to get to him, but he figured the combination of alcohol and lack of sleep for days must have gotten to him. Now, he found himself staring out at the ocean, rocking up and down. He looked out with dull eyes, staring at the waves that found themselves smashing against the side of the boat.
-Wait.. a boat. The teen looked down at his feet, his toes wiggling upon the damnp wood below him. "huh?" He intelligently inquired about his surroundings. Odd. His head picked up, his gaze faling upon rather odd and scruffy looking men engrossed in their work. He took a few steps, looking around, curious of what the hell was going on. Was this a dream? Ura stopped and blinked .. crossing his arms and letting out a small shudder. Weirdweirdweird.
He watched in silence as the men rushed past him, not noticing him at all, especially with his out of place attire (he was still dressed in his pajama bottoms and shirt after all). "What the.." His breath fell through, not allowng him to continue on... as odd as this all was, it seemed a bit familiar.
Aurora was exploring, and havign the best time. Jewelry, everywhere, and not a pirate who cared if she picked it up and draped it on herself! This wasn't too bad!
She tugged on a belt, with one of those old strange guns, and a fancy looking jacket, and a hat with a big poofy feather. Aurora giggled, posed, and wandered outside again. Now she wouldn't get too wet.
Then she saw someone comptetely out of place.
"...Ura?" Oh, crap. "...crap." Aurora ducked back into the captian's quarters, and crawled behind a chest. This better just be a strange dream, and not end up to be HIS dream.
Woa-wha? Ura's lazy and dazed eyes hardened suddenly when he saw what he though he saw. Aurora. What the hell was she doing in his dream -if this was a dream? He frowned deeply, glare still upon the door from which she had disappeared into. With a small growl, he stalked towards the door and flung it open.
Same hard gaze, he looked around the luxiously decorated room with his hand still on the door. He looked around, trying to locate the girl. He didn't want to see her, least in a dream, least .. this soon-oh what was he kidding? He didn't want to see her period and it was worse seeing her in a dream. This would only lead to weird interpretations, if he ever got his dream interpretted by someone. Could mean he was desiring her still, which he sooo wasn't. His mind spazzed, mentally going over the finer details in paranoid fashion-
-but, if there was any other lovely traits that could have been snagged from chiri, his gaze finally fell upon all that was shiny. "Ooo~" He gasped and then grinned, wiggling his fingers like a greedy little child. So many shiny gold things. He made his way further into the room, closing the door shut behind him with a loud click. Ura looked right, looked left ... so much treasure. His grin widened, this so had to be a pirate ship.. it was the only explanation. So awesome! His hand floated at his side, gently brushing across anything that met it. He liked this dream after all.. but then he stopped in the middle of the room and his eyes hardened once again.
"Aurora..." He hissed between his teeth.
Hadn't he just tried to run last time? Aurora thought to herself irritably, as she tried to curl up in an even tighter ball. Why couldn't he do that again, and not... not come after her!
She wasn't that lucky though, the door was flung open and shut again. Footsteps came closer, and she peeked out to see him starting to go a bit obsessive over the gold. It was, at least, how Aurora saw it.
...he wouldn't kill her for wearing some of it, would he? Just in case, Aurora started to quietly pull off the stuff she'd put on. She glanced up again, watching him stroke treasure, hoping she could sneak off...
Damn.
Well, he'd find her anyway. A chest wasn't the best place to hide. Sheepishly, Aurora stood up where she'd been hiding in the far corner and tried to grin. It looked more like a grimice. "...argh, me hearties? ...nice day for a dream, Governor? erm, I mean captain... captin' even. ...deck scrubbing to do, so nice to see... be seeing you. Ya. Captin'..."
Then Aurora tried to edge past him, very slowly, alarming him was a bad idea... Maybe he'd think she was a pirate or something.
Ura's head slowly turned to her direction, like that creepy slow.. like from horror movies like he was going to suddenly strike at her. His tangled, unmanaged loose red hair that dangled around his shoulders seemed to add to the look, making him look a bit crazy. But, he didn't strike out at her. He simply glared with cold piercing eyes, unamused by her 'pirate' ramblings. Same gaze followed her sad attempts of inching away.
His arm suddenly shot out, gripping her around her arms just above her shoulder. Fingers squeezing painfully into her arm. He pulled her in in closer, not caring if he managed to get her to hit anything. "What are you doing here?" He questioned her in a low bitter tone, mismatched eyes meeting hers.
Okay, and now he was going creepy on her. Creepy evil. And strange. ...and he was kind of hot, when he looked like that. Uh. Not that she liked him now or anything. ...but he was kinda hot, with tangled hair and everything... and PJs on...
"Ow!" Aurora snapped out of it, and felt herself being pulled closer. She wriggled in his tight grasp, attempting to pull out of it. But she didn't hit him, not yet. "Let go of me."
She shrugged, wincing. "I don't know. I'm just... in your dream? Not even real. Just in your mind. Yeah. That's it, I'm just apart of your head." Aurora poked his forehead, and went back to trying to detach herself from that strong grasp.
He was strong and hot? ...not that she cared. Urahara hummed to himself, grip still upon her arm as he looked her over. "A dream, huh?" Another hum and he let the idea roll around his head. That meanst he could basically think her away, so she wouldn't be around him. But, there was something odd about it, dreams didn't always tell you they were dreams. That meant.. wait. Confusion. He closed his eyes, trying to make sense of it all and then pushed her away from him.
"Gah.. whatever..." He turned, waving his hand trying to get the idea away. "Just get out of my head!" The teen talked to the door, not before pulling off a handful of gems into his palm. He swung the door open and slinked through slamming it in his wake ... to be greeted by the pirates again. He paused, glare still in his eyes, thumb sliding across the smooth surfaces of the gems. Okay, time to make sense of why he was dreaming about... pirates.
"Yea, a dream" Aurora replied, but it seemde lost on Ura who looked distracted. Apparently, it wasn't working. Okay, so what... she was supposed to explain about the dreamworld?
But no need, he was leaving. Aurora wandered after him, and went to stand next to Ura. She'd have to tell him somehow, or else Zanna or Elijah would. "Um. Actully. I can't go, not by will. ...usually, if I'm here, the dreamer wants me." Aurora glared at her hands then. She felt like soem sort of fricken Genie now. They thought of her, and POOF she was there wearing what they wanted, and helping THEM. ...what a stupid job.
A UFO zoomed past, made of jelly and sparkly gold.
Ura went to releaving his frustration on the gems, his hand clutched tighter around them, some falling out his hand and one flying upward at at Aurora's. Damn it! She wouldn't.leave! His fingers moved the gems around, acting like his personal shiny stress ball. And he wanted her? "Why would I want you?" He asked, not realizing that wasn't in his inner monolouge but outloud.
"And.. pirates..." He did know that was outloud. His gaze never left them as they went along their business, never noticing the two out of place teens while they worked on cleaning the deck and checking the rigging. Nor did they notice that UFO. Ura did, he stared oddly at it.
"You wanted me at one point." Aurora snapped back. "You tell me." She glared at her hands even harder, it had to be their fault. She was stuck in a dream with Ura. "You trapped ME here, not the other way around. ...and ARGH, STOP SPRAYING ME!"
Another wave had splashed over the edge, and hit them both. A storm was brewing, and Aurora tugged her fancy pirate jacket around herself more. She had to avoid getting wet...
"I don't know why pirates, maybe you were a Captian. Zanna was a Amazon, Elijah's some weird tattoo giving person... I don't know."
"Something I can't figure out why..." He grumbled commenting on her attack against him. Still not looking up, nor caring that he was getting wet. That his red hair was now damp with sea water, strands clinging to his cheek and skin as well at his shirt, showing off some of that uh, er.. lanky muscle he had. It was just water, nothing big.
"pirate, huh?" Something good actually came from her for once. Ura smiled, like plotting something since he was still glaring. He took a step further into the desk and towards the pirates. He walked past them as they tried to get the sails ready for the storm. One swung behind him, yelling at one that was missing an eye trying to get him to secure the ropes faster. Another skidded past Aurora, to get to the helm and steady their course.
"You better, or else this doesn't end." Aurora muttered, although she wasn't sure if she told the truth there or not. She watched him walk foward, growling again when the water sprayed over them both.
"URGH."
Aurora went after Ura, and grabbed onto his arm with some odd strenth that she clearly hadn't had before. Both eyes were going darker now, the yellow fading into blue... "Come on!" She tugged on him hard around the middle, twitching more as wet body met wet body and tried pulling him away from the ship and towards the nice dry cabin again. Aurora didn't relent, and teh second she'd shoved him in, she went in after, slammed the door shut and leaned against it breathing heavy. "Don't go out there again."
Three little pigs from Babe started to sing in trill voices outside.
Sinking to the floor, Aurora curled up against the door and stuck her head in her wet knees as her entire body twitched. She had to fight it. And he HAD to be wet, making this so much harder... "Fire. Fire. Warmth. Dryness. Fire."
Ura was ready to snap at her for touching him, for pulling him away from exploring the decks and pirates. But, her eyes changed, that was new. huh? He was lost in that thought and then found himself being pushed into the cabin, away from the wetness.
He sat on the floor, almost spawled out, all his gems lost in the piles of other treasure. Ura propped himself up, not paying attention to her ramblings and pulled his legs in closer to him. "It' a dream, right? You shouldn't be cold..." He hissed at her. "A dream.. and you're here... you were in others. A guide?" He hummed with fingers tapping his chin through his outloud thinking.
Aurora finally looked up, both eyes odd colors. Not blue now, but they weren't quite yellow again either. She glared at him. "I'm not cold. I'm ... this happens when I'm exposed to ... things. I don't like it, I can't control it."
He was still wet, his clothes were still sticking...
"Can't you change or something?" Aurora snapped again, sticking her head in her knees. "I can't believe I'm stuck with YOU. The a** who changes his mind about how he feels every turn. And I don't know what I am."
Was she snapping at him? In his dream, ohnonono. Ura leaned foward, glaring further at her. "No, I don't think I will." He snorted, then began pulling at the hem of his shirt. Yuck, now that she mentioned it, the sea water was annoying to the touch. His pants were in better condition, the hems a bit soaked but nothing too bad. Continue playing with the hems and he pulled his shirt off and tossed it in a pile of swords at his sides. -wait.. waaaaait.
"The a** that changes his mind?" He shot up from his seat from the floor, looking down at her. His eyes of piercing daggers of doom upon her. "What the ******** Aurora! At least I'm not some ******** whore who sleeps with a guy that I've only met for FIVE minutes! Holy s**t!" His mind reeled, he couldn't believe this! This conversation, in a dream that was pretty cool and about pirates. He turned away from her and walked towards the windows in the back, his hands pressed against his head in frustration. "What the ********!" As soon as the last word of the outburst was spoken, a few of the candles near Aurora went out in poofs of purplish-black smoke.
Aurora glanced up, and twitched. All right, bad idea. Now he was shirtless, and sexy. Not that she cared or anything. THe ship was rocking more now, as a storm started to rage outside.
"Yes! ...and I couldn't HELP that, I didn't mean it!" Auora glaring upwards at him, standing as well. She wasn't nearly as tall as him, but Aurora ignored that small fact. "I couldn't help it, I was WET, and he was doing something that made me want him! You see how I get when I'm wet, and try and tell me that I can control it... Besides, you never liked me anyway. Why the hell would you care?"
She jumpde at as the candles went out. No matter what, it was still his dream, and he was in control. Aurora turned around, and went to lock the door leading out. She wouldn't let him out of here, and let the wet in. Then Aurora tugged off her wet jacket. The less wet she was, the better. The other side of her wanted to rip his clothes off then and there.
The ship kept rocking around them, sending treasure and things skidding across the floor.
"That is such Bullshit, Aurora and you know it. There is always control, somewhere." And the next comment just snapped something in Urahara, another few candles went out in a few puffs of that weird smoke. The ship was rocking back and forth but he didn't give a damn. All he saw was her, all he did was glare at her. The hurt returning. "never liked you, huh? I guess we were both wrong, because I was ******** sure I did...." A few of the candles relit in an eerie black flame.
"I guess I should be thanking Adrian, I suppose... opened my eyes to see how easy you would be." And he turned again, away from her once more, not looking at her.. just.. the windows and the treasure slidding across the floor in front of him...
.. and then his dramatic 'curse you b***h' moment was utterly ruined as a pile of jewels rolled into his leg and sent him off balance and down to the floor. "ho s**t!" Ura flailed and fell.]
"Then you better tell me where it is, before I attempt to kiss you again, or turn Nymph on your a**." Aurora snapped again, the last part slipping into Greek without her noticing. She couldn't help but jump when more candles went out. She glanced away from him and outside, at the rain and water... Aurora's eyes snapped back to one of the remaining candles. "Some feelings you have, if you turn me down twice in one day. Oh, and reject one kiss. I'm not EASY."
She took a few deep breaths, attempting to calm down. Slowly, Aurora continued, "I don't want Adrian. I hate him when he's not around, and I don't like how he can ... how he has this HOLD over me, like he knows how to get me to do what he wants. Why do you think I'm now hiding in Greece? I HATE the power he has over me, how he can get me, and the connection he and I share... the same one you and that kid share, by the way, and you tell me how you can make yours break, I'll do the same. How the hell do I control that connection? If you have any ideas... feel free to tell me."
She grinned when he fell, it stopped Aurora from rambling out more. "Lost your gri..." And then Aurora fell over too, tripped up by her own jacket. She crawled towards Ura, and sat next to him, before curling up around the key to the door and sticking her head back in her knees. She mumbled, "I'm sorry? I should have told you it had happened when I met with you, but I like you and that would have hurt you."
Ura hissed, rubbing his a** which had taken the brunt of the fall and didn't seem to notice that she had fallen herself. Then her mumbles reached his ears and he suddenly realized how close she was. 's**t..' He mentally cursed and used his arms to pull himself away from her. She was too close, he was still trying to get over her... he needed to distance himself from her, and also shadow his surprise of her sudden appearance near him.
He stopped near a few finer fabrics near the corner of the Captain's quarters -at least if they fell on him it wouldn't hurt- and sat indian style and stared at her with indifferent eyes hinted with the same fueled hatred from before. "Too late for apologies, Aurora and excuses. You should have said something, a mistake you can't take back." He grumbled, 'hurt more that she didn't say anything...' The teen wanted to say as well, but exposing too many emotions would prove fatal here, could show weakness.
"Greece, huh?" He changed the subject. "Pretty weak of you to have to run to another country to avoid you problems." That said with a coy smirk, his eyes gleaming. "And I have no problems with Itsuki, none what so ever. Connections are made for a reason and shouldn't be broken." Ura continued to glare at her, his smirk now gone.
Aurora watched him scramble off, but she wasn't hurt by it. It was just another blow to her already numbed self. She shrugged, and started to play with some of the gold necklaces that were scattered around. She'd just pretend she wanted these... Slipping one around her neck, and dangling the other from her fingers, Aurora nodded feebly. "I know. I should have."
Both eyes darted up to Ura, and Aurora answered, "I guess I am weak then. At least in Greece I can train to get stronger."
THe last statement made Aurora sigh. "So... I'm supposed to be Adrian's little ******** friend? When he needs it, he can tell me to roll over and he can get it? I HATE it, can't you understand that? I hate it, and I hate how that stupid Nymph side is always lurking and waiting for an excuse to come out and take over." Aurora paused then... an idea was starting to form in her head. She'd started over the past few weeks to see that side as something seperate... "What if it wasn't me? What if it's something else, like... I don't know, we're spirits when we enter stuff, what if it's just another spirit that hitched a ride and it's that thing that's connected to him and not me?" Aurora really did sound hopeful... if that was so, she could get someone to cut it out and then... It'd be gone! Yay!
Urahara said nothing as she rambled, his dorment frustration starting to rise from from the depths of his mind. He let out a small groan that almost sounded like a growl, or maybe it was the latter.. but whichever, he was getting annoyed. What the hell? He didn't give a flying ******** about her problem, this was his dream and she was spouting out personal revelations and ideas to rid herself of Adrian. Sure, he hated the dark teen probably more than her, but right now -"Gawd dammit, Aurora, do you ever stop talking about yourself and your problems? I'm ******** sick of hearing about them!"
Oh, that felt really good. He would have grinned, but it would ruin the moment. A grumble escaped his throat and the teen pushed himself off from the ground. He took a few steps to his side, crossing his arms and then turned his head back at her. "This is my ******** dream that you invade and you go on like I'm some damn teen help center and expect me to help you." Ura yelled, " I don't care! I'm still trying to get over you!" -wait, did he just say that? ********, too late now... continue on! maybe she won't notice, "You were called here for a reason, to do some dream thing." Hand doing a little waving motion to emphasis the point. "Now do it, or get out of my head!!"
"You haven't seen me for a long time." Aurora responded, but now she felt even guiltier. Why'd she babbled to Ura? Out of all the people in the world, here and there in reality.
Oh well, it was done now.
"I didn't INVADE, and I'm only asking you because I have no one else to ask... you told me that I should be able to control it! So tell me, how the ******** do I do that?" Ok, Aurora, enough ranting. Aurora scolded herself, took a few deep breaths... and then forgot what she was supposed to be doing.
...He was still trying to get over her? Well, that was just stupid.
"Why bother trying?" Aurora flopped back again. "I've thrown myself at you three times now, each time knowing that you'll probably just hurt me again... isn't it obvious that you don't have to? I'd do anything to prove to you that I'm sorry."
It was still going on, there were pirates outside and he still didn't know why! Ura's mind weeped, but he knew trying to get her attention back to them was probably not going to be happening any time soon.
"I don't ******** know! You have to figure out some things on your own Aurora." Again, yelling. This time with added slamming of his open palms onto the desk in front of him and a few more flickering candles. His missmatched eyes narrowed further, another inhale and he continued to counter her own rant. "You really think throwing yourself at me three times will make me like you? From what I've seen, these three times have proven to be ******** weak." She was really going to have to prove herself better than that. Fingers curled against the smooth surface of the table as his head bowed a bit low, staring at the surface below. His drying red hair fell from place, almost covering any indication of his face.
"You're going to have to do better to prove anything to me." Came a whisper.
"No." Aurora didn't yell back now. She didn't want to yell, the numbness wasn't quite so numb now and she was starting to feel like it was a nightmare. A stupid one. She wanted to dream about ... nice things. "I didn't think."
Not bloody pirates, and storms, and freaky candles that did odd things. ..speaking of Pirates. "What ship are we on, anyway?"
Change of subject, good. Auorora's block from emotion was crumbling now, and she was already close to tears. THis wasn't what she wanted to do, she didn't want to sit there to be yelled at. ...but it'd make him feel better. Hadn't Kia done that once?
Standing up, Aurora made her way across the cabin and across to Ura. The idea of getting him yelling, angry, ranting was one that seemed like a good idea. But the closer she got, the worse Aurroa felt. She couldn't do it, so Aurora leaned on the rocking wall of the cabin, looked outside, ...and felt sick. Aurora always was afraid she'd be one of those sea sick people.
She flew out of the cabin, kicking the door till it reletned and made her way as quickly as possible to the edge of the ship. "Horrible boats."
Ura's gaze never lifted from the table, it remained fixed on the tiny details of the wood. For him, it was soothing to look at while she caused only pain to his eyes. No words responded to her remarks nor her question about the boat -though, he was a bit puzzled about her quick change of subject, she had been pretty bent on yelling at him and trying to gain his pity or something. But, whatever, he sighed low.
He only listened while she moved her way across the rocking and creaking floors beneath. The only sound he heard was his own breathing and the rustles of her dress which soon stopped and another remark came from her mouth. Ura shut his eyes tight, his mind picturing her somewhere in the cabin, just... standing .. or something. Fingers curled tighter into fists upon the table and he realized he just couldn't stand it any longer. Her presence seemed taunting, baiting for him to lash out or something. He needed to get out of the cabin. With a short push from the table, he stalked his way towards the door and turned the handle.
.. it was locked. When did she lock it? His head snapped back to her, eyes again glaring. "What the hell did you expect to happen with a locked door?" He growled deep.
Aurora ignored movement behind her, focusing on something else. Anything else. She would loose control of everything then, and then everything would be bad, and she'd be ranting and then she'd be crying and that was just more weakness.
"Stupid boat." Aurora repeated, clutching to her stomach with her other hand. She had to ignore, and she'd said enough to him. Said everything, actully, and probably would have offered him Adrain's balls on a platter if she'd kept begging. ...not that it wasn't a nice offering or anything... it'd also prove that hey! She really WAS hating Adrian right now.
She turned around to face him, looking a bit confused. "...What?" Then it hit her, he thought she'd... Urgh. All men sucked. "Ura, we're in a ******** dream. If I'd wanted THAT, there'd be no reason to lock doors. I dont' want you to go out there again, you'll get wet. And then I'll try and rape you or something, because of that lack of control I keep talking about... not that you care."
Aurora turned back towards the ocean, squeezing tears out of her eyes. She had to stop talking, or else she'd burst into tears, and that would be bad. She had to calm down and get control over them again.
Urahara grumbled under his breathe, gawd.. was her mind always on sex? His eyes couldn't really narrow further but he still managed to roll them in his furthered irritation. Why couldn't he just wake up? Things would be so much better, maybe he shoulkd take one of the more blunt objects and bash himself in the head. The idea rolled around in his thoughts, until realizing.. he had fallen over and nothing had happened. "Still haven't gotten to the point of this, maybe.." He muttered under his breathe, hand still jiggling the door handle.
Aurora forgotten, his task now dealed with the door and he knew he didn't have any paper clips on hand this time to pick the lock. He didn't care about going outside and getting wet, it was far better than being with her. In mere seconds, he found himself digging through various treasures on the ground, looking for anything small enough to be a good instrument. Gold pieces went flying, as wel as jewels until he found himself upon a lovely ornate girly hairpin. Perfect. Back to the door, he stabbed the ends into the keyhole and waited for the click.
She didn't notice Ura's attempts to escape at first, Aurora was finding herself sprayed with water in the storm. "Crap."
Turning around, eyes going back to vivid blue, Aurora eyed Ura as he attempted to get out. She was dripping now, from head to foot. And that control she'd had was gone now, gone and forgotten. He was sexy... She made her way across the cabin, just as the door clicked open. It knocked some sense back into Aurora, and she tried to block him from leaving, he couldn't, he was sexy and she NEEDED sexy, Aurora told herself in a frenzied Nymph mood, as she tried to rip off those pants...
...then she froze and stared at Ura's nearly naked self. The front of it was now exosed to the pirate deck and poking out of the cabin. That was different. Didn't she have a set of those too?
Relief came over The red head when the door finally clicked open. Ura's hand shot to the door, his head singing for freedom from the confindments -
Then he was blocked. And then he was attacked by a sex crazed Aurora. "Woah-woah.. what the hell?!" Spazzing, total spazzing. She was trying to take off his pants, he needed those pants, well, he wasn't going commando or anything, but he still needed his pants! "Aurora!"
She stopped. She stared. It confused him. His eyebrows pushed together in confusion, wondering why she stopped - not that he was ever so thankful she did - and looked down to see what she was looking at. Did he have some sort of cool markings? No, he had breasts now. Oh. .. wait. Wait. Okay, he always did have some in some sense, but they were more of uberly flat pecks. Now he had boobs, girly boobs. Missmatched eyes widened in horror; not really for the fact he was now 'exposed' with no shirt... in the middle of the ocean with pirates and all but more of the idea he.. well, now had boobs. It was different. He was a guy, wasn't he? Oh, he didn't want to check.
"What the hell?" He scretched finally, hitting the doorframe as he slide backwards.
The shock seemed to knock Aurora competely out of her crazy, and she stood there panting as her eyes went back to normal again. She was staring at his chest, a very nice chest too, really...
But she wasn't a lesbian, so why did she care?
"Uh..." Aurora started. "Um. Sorry about that. Nymph, and lack of control, and that's EXACTLY why I was begging for help..." She trailed off again, tempted to try and peek down his pants.
But maybe it was the wrong time for that.
"They're nice." Aurora tried feebly, picking up the discarded pirate jacket and holding it out to Ura. "Um... want... to cover them? Not that you need to around me..."
Had he just turned female on her? Aurora swallowed hard. She had a bad sinking feeling now, after her dream with Elijah. What if Ura woke up with breasts? How would she explain this to Ura... "Um. Maybe... see, in dream worlds, some things tend to stay... physical things, I mean. So... if you wake up... yea."
All of her tears had dried now. She was in an odd state of shock, and barely even noticed when she started to grin. And giggle. And reach out to poke one of his breasts. "It's real." Another poke. "Really real."
...and kind of attractive, really, Aurora's other presence decided.
Oh, how he wished he could wake up.. or sink into the door frame. He had boobs, real boobs -again, not weirded out by the boobs just the fact he now had the boobs. He let out a small patheitc noise and tugged at the jacket handed to him. Great, he was a ball of spazz now, wonderful.
"... thanks?" He grumbled, throwing a mental pity party for himself. Then his eyes shot open wide again, panic racing to his brain. He could possibly wake up with them? World caved in, brain died and another pathetic noise and he again wanted to just die.
"stop poking them~!" He whined, swatting at her hand with the jacket. Okay, defensive manuvuers needed to be done. He curled into a little ball, hiding them from view.
Aurora started to laugh, and she leaned over at the ball. "Do you think you're female anywhere else? ...Oh, don't be such a drama QUEEN." She tried to poke them again, just to tease him.
Then Aurora stood back, looking at her own. "Well, if you wake up with them, my bra won't fit. Kia's maternaity bra might do the trick! Just call and ask, she'll understand. ...oh, and avoid Adrian. He likes anything with breasts."
Oh, he knew he wasn't female elsewhere at this point. It all just added to the spazzing in Ura's head, it was one thing to have set of gender specifics but BOTH? World caved in again and he curled further into the ball and fell to his side.
"shut up, shut up!" Came his muffled replies, "I don't want to hear any of this!"
The dream was darkening now, and Aurora knew what that meant. She stood back, glancing around as if trying to remember every single detail about the dream. It'd come in handy, if only for blackmail. And she was so jealous Ura's chest right now.
"You're waking up. Looks like they just wanted you to grow some breasts." Aurora told Ura... and laughed again. The arguement from earlier seemed to be nothing compared to this. "I can lend you a sex ed book on female parts, if you find things not dangling in the shower later..."
She reached down, to try and give them another poke. And then Aurora woke up.
He didn't uncurl from the ball, never noticed the darkness that was enclosing around them. "But.." He started, but never got the chance for a rebutal to the argument, he just curled tighter and just let the poking continue.
And it continued without stop and was at a more frequent pace. His hand shot out, trying to swat at the hand, trying to make it stop. He shifted in the ball, scooted away.. trying to make it stop.
"Ura?" Eyes snapped open wide, he suddenly realized he was breathing heavily and was also again on the couch where he last was actually.
"Ura?" Came the voice again, "you okay? You were making weird noises.. and tossing a lot and... such." Said teen looked up, eyes still wide and fixated on chirigami hovering above him. His breathing slowed. Just a dream. Right?. Hand shot to chest hard, pressed down just to make sure. Flat, it was flat like it should be. Nothing there. He let out a nervious laugh and hugged himself.
"Flat... no boobs..." Another nervious laugh, almost crazy like. Leaving chiri puzzled and a bit more concerned.

The blankets encased around him were so warm and comfy. The cotton felt like bliss against his exposed arms that Ura couldn't help but snuggle closer into them.
- wait, blankets?
Ura's eyes shot open, his breathing quickened yet the rest of his body froze. Why were there blankets? Why was his pillow there? Panic!
Oh wait.
Brain kicked in and thoughts began to slowly process. Connections began to make sense and his eyes darted across the room, finally noticing the limited decor. Oh, this was his room. Thoughts crossed his mind, recalling details. He had managed to blob his way to it from the couch last night after he had woken up from a bizzare dream. Something about ships and a UFO? Whatever. Problem solved, nothing wrong... everything was right with the world. His eyelids began to droop, feeling heavy as sleep again fought for control; oh, he wasn't going to fight... he hadn't slept for days previous and now he could finally catch up. Ura's arm grabbed at the blanket and pulled it tighter around his body. Closed eyes scruntched together, his chest felt a little sore as his arm rubbed against it. Odd. He hadn't hit anything or done anything to cause his chest pain. Had chiri beaten him up or something, trying to get him to do something? She was there last night trying to wake him up from the weird pirate infested dream.
And then his eyes shot open for a second time as his body bolted upward. Another recall. Breasts. He had breasts in the dream, he had suddenly gotten them and he had no idea how. Oh dear gawd, his hand shot to his chest as a small whimper escaped his lips. Ohgawdohgawdwhatifhehadboobs?! He couldn't look down, couldn't look. But, there was nothing there. His hand patted his chest, though he hissed from it still be a bit tender. Was something wrong with him? And finally, his head looked down, nothing really.. his shirt was fine. Hands raised up, peeling the hem away so he could see the exposed skin. Mismatched eyes widened in upmost horror, his body shot backwards hitting the wall behind him - ow - as panic began to run circles in his mind.
Why did his chest look slightly bigger, slightly more... defined... like.. like. Oh gawdohgawd. Nonononono, this was just him freaking out, trying to get him to think something was wrong. Nothing was wrong, nothing at all. Just mind tricks he was playing on himself. Ura let out a nervous laugh, "that has to be it... I'm not growing boobs, that's rediculous." Another nervous laugh, just to make him feel better - which he so wasn't.
Oh, OH! idea. He'd go back to sleep, wake up and nothing would be wrong. Yes.... ye. Ura grabbed his comfy cotton blanket and tugged it around his body, everything would be fine when he woke up. The insomnia was playing with his mind, yes. He flopped over, head resting on the pillow. Sleep was good, welcome sleep.. yes. sleep. He chuckled again, he was going to beat the boobs with sleep! Go him! And sleep was winning, go sleep go. His eyelids grew heavy once more and he fell into the blackness.

Sleep was beginning to, well, not really work. Besides the fact that Ura was finding the soreness of his chest was felt like it was getting worse each time he woke up, he was convinced that well... it was swelling to a point that it was downright uncomfortable to lay on his stomach. So, sleep was ruled out to be a possible cure.
The red head sat with his legs crossed as he sat upon bed, as his sheet was wrapped around his being, covering his whole body except his face. His mismatched eyes were wide and crazed like with hints of his insomnia creeping under them in the form of dark bags. He hadn't slept in about uh... huh. Lost count. Ura let out a small chuckle at the notion. Sleep, he hadn't slept. The sheet was pulled tighter around him as he huddled more into a ball. The walls were beginning to mock him. He knew it. Mocking him for growing boobs! Damn walls!
He heard a hiss and his deranged eyes snapping towards the door to hiss in response. The door was in on it too! Mocking him in such a tone, damn door and walls! Ura grumbled, his eyes finally narrowing to glare upon the door as it now was taking part on the mocking of his growth of boobs. It took him a few minutes to suddenly realize that there was something on the ground.
Oh. With careful, or careless whatever, tactics he rolled himself off the bed and to the floor with a soft thud. Or loud, whichever... didn't matter really. Slowly he managed to inchworm his way and finally slide on the piece of paper. Oo, what was it? Perhaps some news from the outside? Or maybe a form of food. That was something else he hadn't had in a few days. Food. But it wasn't food. It was a crappily cut out red paper heart with words on it. Oh, and a yellow post it ontop. It was all from chirigami. And Urahara grumbled again, still laying on the ground with the sheet around him as he looked at the red and yellow before him.
The paper heart was simple, saying something about love and.. blahblahblah love chirigami. That was discarded with a dinky throw to his left. Being paper, it didn't go far, besides the fact Ura's arm was still mostly within the sheet. It was the post it that had more of a message.
"I'd like to discuss something with you." The teen read aloud. Aa, something. Something could be something indeed. Perhaps a way to make the walls, and now door, to shut up. Or possibilities to solve his little problem. Oh yes. something was sometimes very good.
Yet, he didn't move from where he lay. Ura was a bit dustracted, finding there was a little hole under the door to the outside world. Amazing! And there was.... another door on the other side. He stared.
