"WATCH IT FIRST YEAR!!" One of the slytherin boys yelled at Ellen. She picked up her book and gritted her teeth. Fourth year dolt... One of the boys whiped put their wand and started muttering a curse for her. Ellen flashed three symbols with her finders behind her book and the wand went flying through the air as if the expeliarmis charm was said instead. Ellen hid her grin and hurried away before anyone caught on to her. She spotted the two girls picking up the books, then walked past when she saw they were fine. She opened up her book again and found her place. She had alot more reading to do.

Rebecca_Anne Karen looked around the Great Hall and changed her mind almost automatically about eating breakfast. She hated it when it was too crowded. "Hey Lisha, I'm going to the library," she said. "You can come if you want. I'm going to skip breakfast." She left the Great Hall and headed toward the library. She passed a group of grumpy looking Slytherins. "Watch it, Gryffindor scum," the tallest one grunted. "Oh shove it," Karen said defiantly. "Why don't you make me," he smirked. Karen wanted to shove her wand in his face, but she didn't. She continued to the library, ignoring their taunts. Lisha stayed where she was for a time, then ran to catch up with Karen. The Slytherins that had just been taunting Karen, now turned on a smaller and more vulnerable Gryffindor target. They blocked her path, prodded and taunted Lisha, "Stop it!" she cried, her small high voice surprisingly piercing.

Karen heard Lisha's squealing. She turned around fast and saw the Slytherin's now preying on the little Gryffindor.
Karen pulled out her wand. She pointed it at a nearby vase. "Wingardium Leviosa!" ((sp?)) The vase levatated. Karen raised her wand and brought it down fast, causing the vase to fly forward toward the Slytherin group. It crashed into the back of one of their heads.

Lisha tried to duck as the shards from the vase scattered and bounced off the other's heads. Angry, two of the Slytherins turned on Karen, "You're going to pay for that Gryffindor scum!" one of them shouted and raised his wand.
Having nothing else at her disposal, Lisha bit the Slytherin that was holding her hard, then kicked the one that raised his wand in the back of his knee.

Karen laughed. The Slytherin pushed Lisha away angrily and pointed his wand at her instead.
"Crud," Karen said. She ran toward the group. "Expelliarmus!" She cried. The blast sent all four of the Slytherins reeling. Karen grabbed Lisha's hand and pulled her down the hall, away from the confusion.
"We'll get you two," one of the Slytherins shouted.
"I'd like to see you try," Karen shouted over her shoulder just as she and Lisha rounded a corner and found themselves in the library.

Lisha was breathing hard when they entered the library, "What were they going to do?" she asked, her voice squeeking a little.

Karen shrugged. "Who knows," she said breathlessly. "Slytherins are always threatening Gryffindors. It's basically a fact of life here. Slytherins and Gryffindors are what you might call enimies. I'm not sure why though..." She smiled a little.

Hearing the comotion outside, Rikkel stopped what she was doing and turned to see what was going on. Her stomach dropped as she saw the Gyffindor that she had fought with the night before. Her face flushed as she continued putting books away.

Slowly, Lisha relaxed. "So what are you going to do here? Did you not want breakfast?" she finally got a look into the rest of the room and her eyes widened, "That's a lot of books..."

Karen saw Rikkel's startled look. She chose to ignore her.
"I'm not in the mood to eat right now. Besides, you haven't seen the library yet have you," Karen said, seen Lisha's amazed face. "I'm going to need a book or two anyway."

Lisha nodded, "What books do you need to get? What kind of books are in here? Are they all magical? What about the normal books? ARe there any of those here?"

"Normal books? Like what?" she pushed a question on Lisha finally.

((Like Harry Potter was the first thing that came to mind...))
"I donno, like about art and books from the... the muggle world?" she was still not used to saying that the world she knew was not the normal world at all.
Lisha noticed some books on the floor before she noticed the people picking them up, and bent to retrieve one. She noticed Rikkel and was surprised, "Hello." she said, glancing over at Karen, wondering if they were going to fight again.

"Art books? What for? Wouldn't you rather teach yourself how to draw and such?" Karen knew there would be more questions after that. She watched Lisha pick up books with Rikkel. She made her way toward a book shelf, examining each volume.

"H-hi" was all Rikkel manged to get out. She grabbed another book and put it away, her face matching its bright red cover.
