I love making up Korean names that sound nice but I'm clueless as to what they mean so I'm hesitant to use them, except for my own stories. And even then I still worry about the meanings. God knows, they might be something terrible. O_o

(f)
- An Hyun
- Ha Ryeon
- Ni La
- Ji Ni, Jin Ni (I use the second one)

(m)
- Dong Hyun
- Seong Hyun
- Yun Jung
- Oon Yong

Biryu
from what i know the one of the syllables is usually an adjective and the other is often a noun. For example Eun Ha is

Eun=Silver(adj form)
Ha=Summer;Silver Summer

and another

Rho=Road
Bin=Bright;Bright road

From what i know.. Jin is the most common single syllable korean name. Then there is Hyun and other such as Chang. I think single syllable names are supposed to be noun only.

There are some chinese characters said in korean that have a mixture of one or more characters in it. 島(Do=pronounced Doh)=if you look carefully you can see the 山 sign in there.

Interesting! ^__^ Thank you. That makes sense, and is a nice way to name a child.
