I had this problem this year. I had to be in the nonaudition choir becuase my audition choir didn't fit in my schedule this year. Not so much the stereotypes as the rivalry. The Sopranos and the Altos in there. The altos had a vendetta against sopranos, in particular me, because we sounded more together and louder. Me, because I was the reason they were louder and sounded more professional as I'm in an audition choir. So normally it ended up the altos saying stuff about the sopranos or just me and getting everyone worked up and near a fight as the guys as there were only 2 in that period picked sides....I always ended up consoled by the baritone/bass as the tenor/baritone chilled with the altos...
