Nila didn't notice that she had repeated the word but willingly accepted the offer to dig a moat. "Boats in moat ?" Her small hands dug into the sand and she laughed as she recognised what she had just said. It rhimed, now that was funny.
"Yes, very true. Too many kids to be honest, but well somehow they just appeared. I hope Nila will never become a teen, it'll be exhausting to fight off the boys." She smiled and then looked at the sky for a moment. "Buying Christmas presents is also exhausting. Do you have everything already ?"

Remy giggled as well at the way that Nila had rhymed her words. "Funny Nila...no boats now, but we could make some!" There were sticks all over the place, and bits of bark... "Jus' need to put in water first, an' finish diggin'!"
"Well, fighting off boys is what the dad is supposed to do, right? Lucky for me that Remy is a boy to begin with, since otherwise I'd be stuck doing the chasing." Clasping her hands over one knee, Cajmera looked wistfully out at the small boy playing in the sand, wondering what he'd look like when he'd grown...then cancelling that image. He was her little boy now and always would be, but she wanted to enjoy his youth as long as she could! The Christmas conversation was much safer. "Well, almost. Remyis remarkably straightforward in his desires, and Kaja never wants much anyway; just more for those turtles of hers! How about you? I imagine shopping for a crowd must be fun."

Nila beamed a smile at him and then she did something she only did to Russel. She saw her mom and dad doing this and sometimes Jacosa watched films in which people did so. She leaned over to kiss his cheek. "Me funny. Dig dig dig." Quickly she continued to make a little moat around the castle.
"Ranjit's too weak to do such things." Andraste smiled and watched the scene with raised eyebrows. Nila became strange...
Christmas. Well. "It's exhausting to be honest, because one has to stay at home with all the kids and the other one has to work through the wishlists. Nila will receive some new clothes and probably some toys. She doesn't have any preferances luckily. Jacosa wishes for a piercing...I don't know yet if he'll be allowed to have it.

Blinking, Remy cocked his head at Nila after she kissed him. It wasn't that he'd been kissed before, it was just that it was something only Mama and Kaja did. Aunt Joyous had once...maybe it was just something that girls did. Deciding on that, he flopped back onto his knees and began to dig as well. "Yup!"
Raising one eyebrow, Caj listened to Andraste's description of the holiday season and devoutly thanked her stars that her kids had simple tastes. And that Kaja didn't want any piercings yet, also thankfully. "Sounds like you guys have a complicated holiday season ahead of you."
Turning her attention from her fellow mom to the kids for a moment, she found herself chuckling at Nila's little kiss. "Your daughter is quite the affectionate type, isn't she?"
