I would say "well-rounded", rather than talented...

Also, I somewhat agree that if someone plays one instrument, they can focus on it more than someone who plays six or so different instruments can. But that doesn't mean that they do. Someone who can play one instrument may focus on their instrument alot, but that doesn't mean that they are better on it than a multi-instrumentalist, who play the same instrument as well as others. It simply means they have the oportunity to.

looks like i'm a loner-boner again. crying

i've played Flute and piccolo for 5 years, and Trombone for 3. i can play piano, and a little Vibraphone too. i'm learning the Trumpet, French Horn, Sax, and Tuba. *with fingering charts, and section leaders laughing at me, trying to help. haha*

i'm also one of the 2 Drum Majors in our marching band. it's fun,(and hard...) but the best part is being able to sleep in the drum major offace. ^_^


and btw...
you all could be right about the multi instrument thing, or, they could just be like me like me, and you have way too much free time to spend in the band room.
*and atority to play with the school instruments without getting yelled at. cool
