Sister Apathie turned to Trace and smiled "I thank you, your help is much appreciated" She looked to his neck "Oh? You have been wounded" She placed a finger on a small scratch just under his chin, and sent healing energy into it "Forgive me, but might I inquire as to your names?"

Trace took the healing, wondering why a paladin needed help with orcs, but he figured that she was a lower power level. "I'm Trace Yacor, leader of the Agronauts. This is my best friend and lieutenant, Icebeard." He scanned the field for the figure in bright armor. Michael, stop playing around, we have places to be. He got the response back telepathically through the same link. Sorry boss. Suddenly a huddle of orcs flew away from an armored man, they had been cut open in various spots. The commander smiled and the display and reminded himself to never be too close to Michael when he was pissed off. He turned to the woman and dwarf. "Ice, Paladin, lets get with the army."

Sister Apathie smiled "Nice to meet you" She went with them as the joined the army, keeping close to Icebeard "So, what brought you guys out here? We don't usually see more than a traveler or two come around these parts every so often."

"War." Icebeard replied. Trace stepped in and elaborated. "This was the group that razed Falash to the ground. We followed them to their cave, and the fight moved around a bit. Orcs tend to move quickly at night, and they don't tire easily." By the time he was done explaining, they had made it back to the main group. He was met by Jaybaldash. "I rounded up fifteen men, including myself. SIR!" Trace was about to smack the half-dragon, but decided he didn't want to explain his actions, so he just shook his head. "You're staying here with Michael. I need two officers to stay with the main group. Plus, the men like you more." He saluted by placing his closed fist on his chest. "Omega, Jay." "Omega, sir." "Have the squad meet at the mansion." Jay nodded in accent and ran off again. He turned to Ice. "Take our guest there too, I have to..." He stopped, remebering present company. "uh, go, do things..." He walked off behind a bush. The dwarf looked of the woman. "Lets go lass."

Sister Apathie nodded "Yes, we know about the Orc problem as well. Speaking of orcs" She turned toward the forest "Tiska, it's alright now, nobody is going to take you away!" A high pitched grunt was heard, and a few moments later, an orc wearing monk's robes came up over the hill reluctantly. He was relatively thin for an orc, and appeared to be maybe 13 or 14 years old. His demeanor was much gentler than that of an orc. He went over to Sister Apathie, surveying the others with distrust "Sister, dey all gone now?" She smiled "Yes, these guys took care of them, so there is no need to hide anymore." She turned to Icebeard "We found him about a 3 weeks ago hiding in Temple stables, freezing, filthy and starving. It took a while to get him to even come out, because he thought we were going to give him back to the orcs. But, since then, he has become quite a good acolyte in such a short time, unfortunately we cannot seem to convince him to carry a weapon. anyway, I suppose we should get going, I promised Father Rache we would be back in no more than a week's time"

Trace smiled as he returned. "I see you've been multiplying." He turned to the group of fifteen that had gathered. "Today we set of on another recon mission. Rumor has it a devil is sealed away somewhere around here. Contact lists its strength at elder evil status. We need to make sure this thin stays sealed away. Understood?" There was a unified grunt. "Very well, your direct CO will be Lt. Icebeard, I will be active general. You have half an hour to be ready at the north end of camp." He placed his fist over his heart. "Omega." They followed suit. "Omega!" They shouted the word as one. "Dismissed." He turned to the orc and woman. you two get done what you need to, meet me on that hill in thirty minutes.

She smiled "Yes, of course" She sat down with tisak over by a tree and they had a snack of crackers and water. About 15 minutes later, they got up and headed up to the hill. She turned to Trace "Well, we are ready".

He nodded and turned to the men. "Let's move out, Triple column." The soldiers started marching, getting into three rows of five seamlessly as they walked. By noon the next day, they had reached the town. Trace ordered the halt and gave the Agronauts an hour leave. HE turned to the Sister. "Get your things, We'll be heading out in an hour, I'd like to get to your temple before morning."

Sister Apathie smiled "Yes, of course. We sha'nt be be long" She smiled, and motioned for Tiska to follow. She headed to the market, and picked up some dry goods; flour, salt, and spices. She also picked up some burrow eggs, which were versatile enough not to break during the trip back. Tiska held a parge barrel of expensive wine on his back, and on his chest was a box full of incense and oils. They headed back to the meeting place after a light lunch, with five minutes to spare. She looked to the sky, which was beginning to get cloudy "Sir Trace, it looks as if a storm may approach within a day's time"

He looked up to the sky and sniffed. "It'll only drizzle, We've walked trough worse than this. Don't worry, Sister, we'll get you to the church on time. By the way, Who is your patron diety? I didn't see your holy symbol, which is kinda weird for a paladin."

Sister apathie looked to him with interest "That would be the Mother Goddes Ren Eva, and her God-Child, Yog Sototh. My ancestors haveketp the Temple in working order for as long as I can remember, and Ren Eva has blessed my family with the powers of healing and purification. I too was blessed with these powers, as I have had them since birth, I have not had a day of training for any of it since my life began; my entire life has been spent in the devoted services of Father Rache and the Temple, and it is an honor to be his assistant." Tiska looked op at Trace "Ren Eva is good Goddess, she keep away mean orcs who come to take me away. Orc scared of Ren Eva, fear her beauty and holy power, worship meanie Wargod Xih Iyoro instead"

Trace stopped chewing on his apple. "Did you just say Yog Sototh? As in: The Elder evil? Sealed away by Aurea over 700 years ago? Steal my shoes! How do you ******** that up?!" He balled his fist and muttered a word. HE shot his palm into the air and fireworks went off above his head. Within a minute the last of the squad had run into formation. Icebeard chimed in. "Michael just told me. Ren is lesser, she grants powers. Xih is demi at best, possibly just an avatar. No documented use of divine magic channeled from him."

"I don't think so, perhaps your information is wrong. Mother Aurea was my great great grandmother, and according to the records as well as my passed-down story, she managed to channel the power of Ren Eva to seal away the avatar of Xih Iyoro, losing her life in the process. Of course, I believe even our temple records to be innacurate, the only accurate records would be found in the Parilis Bible, the sacred tome passed down through my family. But it is nowhere to be found, all records if it seems to have disappeared after Xih Iyoro was sealed away. But I have found records even more interesting than those, if you'd like, I can speak with you more on them when we reach the Temple. These are records that even Father Rache does not seem to understand, and they pertain to some twin gods of Eternity." she looked out toward the horizon "In any case, we should get going, I promised I would not be long, and I would rather be there in case the Orcs attempt another raid on our grounds"

Trace eyed her suspiciously. "I never doubt Old Mage's word. But I'm going to trust you for now." He turned and ordered the march. He didn't speak to the nun for the rest of the journey. They reached the temple in great time, arriving shortly before dawn.

Upon entering the grounds, all was quiet. Sister apathie looked around suspiciously "That's strange, I wonder where everyone is?" She led them inside, where Father Rache was waiting expectantly "Ah, Sister, so good of you to bring guests. The stars told me of your journey, praise be to the Holy Mother for seeing you safely." He smiled, and stood up. Behind him, was a large statue of a woman who looked identical to Takara. In front of it, on a much smaller scale, was a statue that looked identical to Guraha. He did a handsign of holiness, and faced Trace "I thank you and your men for your assistance, you shall be paid well for your services. In the meantime, please, feel free to stay the night, it is the least we can do for weary travelers." He walked over to Sister Apathie with a smile "Sister, I take my leave now, I must go tend to the Altar room" With that he bowed, and went into a corridor in the back. Tiska snickered peculiarly. Sister Apathie bowed, then turned to Trace "I know he appears to be rather odd, but it is just the way he is, without his guidance the temple would have fallen to the beasts and demons that prowl the outsides." Her eyes were honest "Tiska, would you please show these men to the guest quarters? Sir Trace, if you would, I have something I want to show you, perhaps you could be of assistance" The orc nodded
