The main forum is for OOC chatter though that doesn't mean people can go spamming and bumping gallore.
We finally have a poetry thread.
Also the help forum is for you to ask questions about writing. So far, I've only seen my thread in it. Everyone can post in it.

Also the help forum is for you to ask questions about writing. So far, I've only seen my thread in it. Everyone can post in it. Can we please have that stated in the main Rules and FAQ? I went in there and it was rather vague on the matter and I decided it was better to stay on the safe side. I'm sure that most people here actually DO read stickies and announcements.

~Maybe some way that people could tell who's already gotten a Beta in the Gamma thread or something?

Okay, too many stickies and announcements. If we could have them all linking together (or at least the ones related to each other) that would be good.
I wish there were more ways of organising the thread list as well, as some things really shouldn't be shoved out of the way and some should linger near the bottom. If you want me to change stuff around for you, please tell me.

I wish so too. The reference list should be at the top though. As for the application threads, I think they can be normal stickies so long as we link them to the reference list. What do you think?

~Maybe combine the Instruction thread and the Rules/FAQ thread to reduce the number of stickies?

We could possibly do that. We'll have to redo the rules and faq part.

Heya! Seeing as I seem to be doing a run of replying in as many threads as possible, I thought I might as well put my two cents in here, too.
My suggestion, then: When the 'complete beta/gamma reference' threads are updated, maybe put something at the top of each section, in bold, that states: Last updated: date. This would, well, maybe help y'all mods keep track, but it would also let the rest of us know that despite the very old 'last reply' date, these threads are still spiffy and modern.
...um, yeah. Neh?

Recently I've seen--well, not a lot, but more than two--people who say, "I've applied to the Beta Guild, but I haven't been accepted yet..."
...and it's the ellipsis at the end there which makes them sound a bit disappointed, or possibly impatient--or maybe just worried that all the mods are dormant (hey, I was worried about that at first). I dunno. However! Perhaps if a note on the main guild page was added saying something like, "Like the Writers' Forum, we move a bit slow; it might take us a few days to process your request to join. However, we will get to you when we can--don't worry!"
I'm not sure if that takes the owner to do--but I thought I'd toss it out anyway.

Both the Captain and VC are rarely on the guild. We, crew, can't edit the home page, but I think we might have it in the FAQ.
