Fleur listened intently and did his best to mimic Del's movements, patting the sand into place. His squares were a little lopsided, but it was not as bad as it could be for one so young. For once, Fleur did not really care how inadequate it was - it looked as if he was getting the same enjoyment from the sand as Del though at least his fur protected his hands from the cold water. "Like that?"

" Yep just like that you learn fast" Del was impressed the shy little boy was playing nice and even asking for her thoughts on his handiwork, this was surely a good omen for her superhero powers, she could bring out the best in people and they looked to her for advice.
Taking some dry sand and patted it onto the outside of the wall " This makes it look pretty and soaks up the extra watyer so it's not too soft." Del had learned the hard way several times at the beach that even on a hot day a too soft sandcastle fell easily apart during it's last stages.

"Okay!" Fleur followed her example, very pleased she liked how he was doing so far. Praise was not unheard of, but it was nice to receive it from someone other than Stevie for a change, especially someone he had just met.
He finished patting a little dry sand onto the wall and carefully started trying to make a tower. He was only going off of what he had seen in pictures, and he was quite sure towers were part of a typical sand castle.

Del smiled as fleur stopped following her lead and began designing on his own whims. It was nice to be looked up to but also good to see that the skunk boy had has own thoughts on how things should be.
Grabbing her twig from earlier Del began carving into her wall to make it look like bricks or stone. Her fussyness with details made Del take more time in some aspects but The overall results made her much happier, obviously she too had her own style and thoughts on how castle building could go.

Once his tower was finished, albeit a little unstable and leaning not unlike the Tower of Pisa, he started trying to make little windows in it though he stopped when he noticed that was just making it further unstable. Frowning at it, Fleur tried to make another, better tower, quickly learning from the mistakes he made with the first one. The new tower still was not extraordinarily stable, but it was better than the original.

Finishing up her wall Dell Began to work on her castle, it was going to be a pyramid castle because pyramids were interesting or so the t.v show had said. Of course t.v thought a lot of things were interesting and Del didn't always agree with it, most of the time but not always.
" If you could live in a castle what sort of castle would it be?" Del asked fleur hoping she wasn't distracting him.

Fleur twitched his ears and thought about that. The only castles he knew of were those out of the picture books and fairy tales Stevie and Chrysler read to him though the castle Del was building certainly looked interesting as well as very different from the pictures he had seen. "M-Maybe one like in Bah's picture books..?" he answered. "Big towers and a moat with a dragon in it!" He was still working on making a stable tower, but the second was turning out much better than the first. He only wished he had a little flat go stick into the top.

" Crocodiles are supposed to go in moats not dragon's silly." All T.V shows showed crocodiles lived in castle moats. " It sounds like a fun castle to live in though." Del wondered briefly if superheros got to live in castles.

"A dragon would be neater though!" Fleur stated with a nod. That was his belief, and he was sticking with it, if only because he had not quite learned exactly what a crocodile was just yet. "What kind of castle would you like to live in?" he asked while turning his attention back to his tower, the first one having suffered a sad death by crumbling. Now that he had a better idea of how to make it, he could rebuild it.

" A marble one that was really strong with four high towers and a big bakck garden and a courtyard. There be lots of people everywhere and servants but they'd be like family and everyone would work togeather and the castle would be where everything important happned and it would always be a safe place." At least Del figured that was what her perfect castle to live in would be like, there was probably stuff she was forgetting but that's just how she was.

"I think I'd want a big garden in mine too," Fleur mused, patting the sand quietly. "A big, big one with lots of flowers and other things that smelled nicer than me. Dunno 'bout people though. Bah's the only one who likes to stay around me." Even now he was worried his perfume was beginning to wear off, a constant worry drilled into his subconscious by Stevie, but he was afraid it would be rude to just dig the bottle out of his bag and reapply it in front of Del.

Del had no clue about the problem Fleur was facing, breathing through a blow hole instead of a nose she only got the faintest of sents from even the strongest of things. She smelled the boys perfume but not that much. Her sense of smell was truly only keen under water. "I don't think you smell bad at all" she offered."

Fleur blinked stupidly at her for a brief moment, his expression nearly shell shocked. "I...don't?" Since he had not learned yet about dolphins and how they were supposed to live in water, he had no idea Del could not truly smell him and instead thought maybe the perfume had not yet begun to wear off yet. "Bah says I do if I don't wear my perfume." He pulled the bottle out of his bag to show her. It was a very pretty crystal bottle with a long tube with a bubble at the end to squeeze and spray the perfume inside.

Del just shook her head " I smell the perfume but just a bit, " She frowned " I don't smell as good as most people do. Not that it matters becuase no one should judge you on how you smell. iIf they did that's.." Del was lost for words there for a moment " Predjudice and it's wrong and if anyone ever says mean stuff to you when I'm here I'll stop them."
Good superheros did not let their friends get made fun of especially for stupid reasons. They may have just met but Fleur shared similar interests in castles and gardens and was a nice boy. Thus they were friends and he was to be defended.

"Oh..." Fleur thought about that for a moment. "Bah's eyes water if I don't wear the perfume." He frowned upon thinking of that. "They do if I put on too much too though..." He was slowly learning the proper amount to keep on, but after a while, his nose became accustomed to the scent, and he could not tell if it was wearing off or not. "I just know it's not a nice smell, so I wear the perfume because it smells better."
