Ok well since we're gonna be the NaruHin army I guess we should start with some defense/offense(not in the bashing kind of way) jeje.

Ok my opinion on why NaruSaku isn't a romantic relationship,but a mother-son relationship:
Naruto's mother died when he was very very young,so he's never had a mother figure to look up to,find comfort in,someone to protect as his own.That's why when he sees how nice Iruka is and how he protects Naruto and has his best interest in mind he doesn't only see a nice teacher,but a father figure,someone that's always gonna be there for him.Naruto finds in Sasuke a brother,since they're always competing and trying to surpass each other and often bash each other: Sasuke-Loser Naruto-Chicken ;but on the inside they're both pushing each other towards their goals and admire each other and well are simply brothers, reason why *spoiler* Naruto is fighting so much to get his brother,Sasuke,back from Orochimaru and darkness*spoiler* Anyways,seeing this he must also want a mother figure of someone that will look after him,support him and clean up after he screws up,this is where Haruno Sakura comes in *flashback* Sakura tells Naruto constantly to spot being stupid when he says or does something stupid and apoligizes for his stupidness jeje,she took care of both Sasuke and Naruto when they where down in the Chunnin Exams,those look like motherly actions to me since she takes care of Naruto and looks over him. Like wise,Naruto looks over and protects her since she's his second best friend(first is Sasuke) and because he doesn't want to lose anymore of his loved ones,or better yet,his family and friends he cares about.

Me too.Definently. I think that Naruto may have feelings for Hinata in part 1 of the series(when they're 13) but that those feelings are overshadowed by feelings for Sakura that may have seen romantic type,but where really a family/friend bond. It's like(sorry if it seems stupid to put in anecdotes sweatdrop )one time I thought I liked a guy 'cause I cared about him but it was only friendship/brotherly since I would joke around with him and kinda annoy him like a lil'sis jeje,and well that's what I think happened with Naruto since he cares about Sakura and identifies himself with her,which in a way brings them together in a brother-sister that constantly annoy each other but still deep down love each other(brotherly way of course jeje),anyways well I think that because of this Naruto couldn't see his own feelings for Hinata or even be aware of her feelings for him 'cause he was being distracted by Sakura.

Why Naruto likes Hinta in his subconscious:
1) Naruto once told Hinata that at first he thought she was just weird adn dark,but that now he saw how she truly was and that he likes people like her. He likes her at least as a friend.
2) Naruto identifies himself with Hinata in the Chunnin exams when she's trying to get stronger and show everyone that their idea of her is wrong.He cheers for her.
3) When Neji almost kills Hinata,Naruto swears on her blood to beat Neji.This shows that he cares for her and,again,sees himself in her.Why in this case? Because when he was young everybody treated him like that and didn't believe in him,they just stepped all over him ,and Naurto just can't stand seeing that happen and much less to a good person.
4)I saw in a video of an episode that Naruto was with team 10 (Hinata,Kiba and Shino) on a mission and that Kiba,Naruto and Shino were in trouble and the only one thta could help them was Hinata.Anyways,Shino doubted that Hinata would be any help at all seeing as how weak she looks and Naruto told Shino to just believe in her,that she could do it.This gave Hinata courage and she 'saved the day" jeje ^ ^
