Kaleb's hand reached up to cover his open mouth, and he slowly nodded. He hadn't asked about salary when Rufus had hired him, if he was going to be forced into the job anyway it really didn't matter what he was paid. "Holy..." he said, trailing off without saying another word.

He continued to snicker. When he'd joined the Turks it had been mostly for the paycheck. Actually getting paid for being a thug had to be better than being an unpaid thug. He hadn't expected the pay to be as good as it was but he wasn't going to start complaining now.
"So, you think you have enough to go grab a new outfit or two?"

Kaleb adjusted his glasses, and took his bank card back before sticking it back into his wallet, and then into his back pocket. "A-are you sure there hasn't been a mistake or something?" He asked, feeling pretty pretty sure his services for Rufus hadn't been worth that much.

"Standard pay for a Turk." He slung an arm around Kaleb again. "You'll get a nice fat holiday bonus too." And depending on how good he was a pay raise. Tseng made more than Rude and Reno, but then again he had other reason's to get paid more.

Kaleb was speechless, he certainly wouldn't need to worry anymore about having enough to pay rent on his little apartment with that salary. "I-I think I could afford some new clothes," he finally said, although he still couldn't imagine what a holiday bonus would be like, or even an increased income.

"Then let's go." he could drag Kaleb into some of his favorite stores that he hadn't gotten to visit today. He didn't need anything new but Kaleb would probably be lost in the high class places

Kaleb nodded, slowly getting over his shock as he got used to the idea that he wouldn't be financially stressed as long as he worked as a Turk. Today he would be completely at Reno's mercy though, he wouldn't even know where to start, let alone know what was stylish or would look good on him.

Walking down the street he eventually shoved Kaleb gently into a store. The place was full of leather and silk and things that looked much like what Rufus wore or what Reno was wearing at the moment.

Kaleb didn't protest over where he was being taken, but he did hesitate slightly once they were inside and he had a chance to look at the fine clothing the shop offered. "I-is there anything that won't stand out?" He asked in a near whisper.

"...no." He grinned as he poked around in a pile of designer jeans. "But you don't stick out anyway so having cloths that do wouldn't make that much of a difference."

"Oh." Kaleb said, relieved to know that new clothes wouldn't change his ability to happily remain unnoticed. He fidgeted a bit, not really knowing what to look at, and eventually settled for watching Reno browse around.

He looked at Kaleb for a minuet and then tossed a pair of jeans at him. "Those should fit you..." Waggling his fingers at one of the clerks in the store he flipped though a rack of shirts and eventually tossed one at Kaleb

Kaleb caught both items, pleased to note that they seemed much less... eye catching than many of the other items on display. When the clerk came and escourted him to a change room, it didn't take him long to try on the clothing. They were far from uncomfortable, in fact the shirt was probably one of the softest he had ever worn. Both shirt and jeans were a little more snug than he was used to, and the pants rode lower on his hips than his usual selection, but they fit rather nicely.

"Well drag your a** out here so i can see." He wasn't going to toss things at Kaleb and not get to see the kid in them. Much less if he was going to be seen in public with the kid in them later.

Kaleb blushed brightly and slipped out of the changeroom, feeling more than a little nervous. This was why he usually bought simple clothing, there wasn't much need to try them on beforehand, and he wouldn't have to worry about how he looked in them.
