Question posed by the new recruit to the ranks of this guild:
I am aware and respectful of the "respect all walks of life" rule detailed in the appropriate thread. I personally agree with it and would be my course of action even if it were not written. However. In one of the roleplays, is it unacceptable to create a character who is biased in some way? For instance, say, in one of the RPs, I have a character who is extremely irritated by the Japanese language, so whenever people speak it, he tends to treat them badly. Would it be unacceptable to play a character who is like this?
This does not mean I would go rampant with racial slurs in this HYPOTHETICAL situation. It simply means the character expresses a rampant dislike of the Japanese language, which could be offensive to any Japanese members OOC. Should I refrain from such things in an RP?
I am not about to create a character like this, nor am I about to start railing off in an OOC discussion with potentially offensive banter. I am simply asking if a character's actions would be borderline offensive, should I restrain myself?

Chisao the Angel Okie, question. I'm new and I feel weird just jumping into an RP. What should I do. @_@ Well, I personally suggest, if you're feeling terribly awkward about joining an RP, to just stick around the OOC parts of the guild for awhile. Talk and get to know some of the members. You'll eventually feel a lot more confident and comfortable around them. But also know, I'm sure no one will say anything negative of your characters or how you RP(-and if they do, report them to one of the crew members). Everyone has different RP styles, and to add yours among them would be a pleasure to us all.

I am simply asking if a character's actions would be borderline offensive, should I restrain myself?Yes, this would be allowed. It being your character, if they have certain grudges against a certain race/sex/or in any other aspect, then it's your choice to play it out. If the character were to insult another person, it would be toward someone else's character and not themselves. No one should be offended by this, and if they are, they merely need to separate real life from roleplay.

Simply for the irony in relation to the post cited above, and in gratitude of your rather speedy answer (most forums would take at least a week before they even noticed), arigato. lol

Arch_Angel_Michael Ohayo! I have a question! Where is it that we introduce ourselves? ^-^ Jus seen it in the other guilds, so i wanted to know. Oh, I would say the Bounce Bounce thread on the main page would be fine. We don't really have an actual introduction thread, but a lot of random chat does occur in the mentioned thread. So, if you want, go ahead and put an intro for yourself there.
