Elu saw Aion coming toward her but she didn't slow down she skidded past him as he turned down a hall and kicked out with her back hooves colliding with flesh. Hearing the satisfying wet crack of broken ribs she finally tore after Aion, shouting over her shoulder, "That was for taking my daughter!"
She scurried into the hole after Aion. She let out a silent breath as she moved forward only to suck in another at the sight that awaited them the strange mushrooms that covered the area glowed softly, barely illuminating the small room but giving the ceiling a strange almost star-like quality. She sighed and mumbled, "The gods must love to mess with us." How ironic? Hadn't Aion spoken about a place under the stars? She shook her head, a rueful smile gracing her lips.
It seemed like so long ago though it must've have been only a half hour ago. She stood and moved as far away as possible from Aion, "I'm still mad at you, boy," She growled, though most of the anger in her voice was fake, "So don't expect anything from em for a loooooooong while." She lay down in the corner and stared absently at the glowing mushrooms, silently praying that Viveca was alright and that none of them would be found.

As Elu entered the room, Aion watched as she took a breath from both the run as well as the sight of the mushrooms. Bowing his head slightly, he took a moment to speak quietly, "This was where I was going to take you, anyways." For a breif moment, his eyes tilted to the celing, remembering how much time he had spent in here when he first arrived at the temple. Shifting his sights as she moved to the farthest point away from him in the room, he shook his head even though he knew it was coming.
Dropping to a laying position himself, he kept an eye on the hole they came from as the dark malu paced outside. "It'll take a while. These Malu aren't very patient, and they can't be exposed to light. They gave up their day sight to have perfect vision in the dark." He mentioned absently, laying his head on his paws as he looked away from Elu. Figuring he might as well just stay quite to not evoke any furhter angry from the female.

Elu grunted absently, her mind still roiling over how the evening had been ruined. How could he have done that to the children? To her? Her eyes shifted to look over at him. He definitely know how to mope about. WIth a sigh--for she couldn't just let him mope about and sulk all alone--she stood and walked over to the black male. She dropped down next to him and lay there for several moments, not speaking. Finally, when only their own breathing could be heard and it was evident that no creature would be interrupting at that moment, she spoke, "Had I known that you would be so adept at moping about, Aion, I might have thought twice about snapping at you." She chuckled softly, "Sometimes.....I doubt I will ever understand you or your motives." She continued on before he could interrupt, "But I know that deep down in that black body of yours, you care." S
he tilted her head toward him, "Though you have strange ways of showing it." She shrugged her shoulders, "Don't get me wrong, I'm still very angry about Viveca, but it doesn't mean I'll kill you or something. Maiming is fine. I like maiming, but right now, I'm just worried about Viveca."

Absorbed in watching the tiny glowing mushroom before him all he could think about was how stubborn she was being. He had actually came after her immediately, had he not? He could have just said she was off playing...true he wasn't keeping that great an eye on them, yet all they ever did was brawl with one another when their mother was not there to scold him. How was he to know Viveca would actually do something other than pick on Orahn? Hell, she hadn't even made the effory to say Mother or Father like her siblings had done.
Blinking lightly as his head turned only slightly to glance at Elu, he didn't feel like saying a thing when she lay down beside him...silent for several moments. Frowning as she began to speak, he lifted his head fully and looked her in the eyes. "I can mope all I like, Elu." He huffed, yet remained silent as she continued. Him? Care? As if. Yet...somehow he didn't have the will to make these thoughts vocal, as he simply nodded. "Viveca will be fine. She's a smart girl, if she found her way here all by herself after only seeing me here once, she can find her way back to the others, as she's been there daily. I don't believe she's stupid enough to come back down here." Aion confessed, moving his nead to nudge her cheek lightly as if to get her to stop worrying so much.

Elu snorted, "She may be smart, Aion, but she's still a baby. You can't hold her to adult standards." She allowed the nudge but soon stood up and sauntered over to the other side of the room, half leaning against the wall, "Hmm." The stone was cool and seemed damp yet soft at the same time, strange. She blinked and stepped away from the wall, pawing at it again. A bit of moss tore away from the stone a soft tearing sound reverberating across the small stone chamber. She pawed at the wall a bit more, her tiny claws raking against the damp moss. "Something's under it." She murmured to herself, her claws would scrape in at different depths and that was how she knew.
She scraped away a line of it and turned to look at Aion, "It looks like symbols, what do you think t means?" She asked, a child-like excitement creeping into her voice and eyes. Mysteries had always fascinated her since she was a child and this discovery was no different. What did these symbols mean? Was it some sort of message? What was the message? These thoughts buzzed about her head as she stared at the strange swirling markings.

"She's my daughter, of course I can." He huffed, knowing very well she could be compared to adults, she had his own smart genes afterall. Cocking his head lightly as she returned to the opposite side of the room, his eyes gave a roll before she seemed to have discovered something. Turning to look, his ears perked as she began scratching at the wall, removing the fungus which grew on these stones. Rising to his paws, he slowly strode to her side - noticing the inscriptions carved in the stone.
Raising a brow, her moved his head closer as he observed their odd patterns. "I haven't seen these before.." Sure, Aion had heard of ancient secrets in the temple, yet had never seen these inscriptions. Peering at Elu with a sideways glance, he had never seen her so excited before, perhaps this was a quirk of hers? "What do you supposed they mean?"

Elu grinned, "Mystery!" She looked closer, "I think.....there's more..!" She pawed at the edge of the patch, pulling away more fungus. She stopped as she reched the edge of the wall, "Hey Aion," She shocked her head sideways at him, "Do you think the creatures that lived hear originally did this? Or maybe a god?" Her eyes sparkled t the prospect and her mind whirred with possibilites.
With difficulty she forced her mind away from the tantalizing possibilities and focused on the real world, "How long did you say those malu would search? I think it has been a while but I can't be sure." She shook herself, flipping her hair out of her eyes. With a bubbly sigh she turned back to the symbols, "I wish we had enough time to figure out what these meant." She murmured, "But we need to get back soon."
She cocked her head and looked closer at one of the symbols, "...? What's this?" She pressed a paw against the strange symbol...one that looked remarkably like one of the strange four-legged creatures she had seen in her forest homes. Creatures that ran fast and came n a variety of colors....soome of which looked like hers. She scrambled back as a loud rumble echoed across the chamber, "Bad idea!" She exclaimed in astonishment.

Raising a brow lightly, Aion turned to Elu as she further dug and tore at the fungus as the room became more dimly lit which gave some concern to the male. "Who knows. I would assume so, no malu could do such a thing without losing their claws." He spoke from painful experience when he decided to take on the wall at their first meeting. Yet his attention was once again diverted to the enterence where he still heard the gentle hoofbeats of the dark Malu. "They're still there, yet it wont be long now."
Huffing slightly, he really wished that the Malu would give up already...never had they been this persistant on a prey before. Perking his ears, he glanced as Elu appeared to have found something when all of a sudden the floors began to rumble and groan as if the roof was caving in. "Elu! What the hell have you done?" He hissed, before his eyes went wide as a section of the wall began to...move? "What??" He shouted above the roar of moving stones as it echoed across the room.

Elu stared in utter shock as the the wall began to move. Her mouth gaped in shock, what was this? How was this possible? What had she done? And suddenly, a calm settled over her and her body realized for its defensive posture. She knew what this was and a soft voice whispered in her mind, comforting and soft.
Will you lend me your body?
Elu's answer, both physically and through her mind, was immediate. "Yes." She did not register the change, when her body was no longer her own, she didn't need to. She knew what this was.
Vaguely, she knew that her body was running down the opening that had opened infront of them. She knew who this was as well, for this had happened once before. She settled back, absorbing herself in a the soft comfort her goddess provided and waited to be allowed to reclaim her body. SHe had total trust in her goddess, so she knew everything would be alright in the end.

Taking a glance back, Aion could see the Malu begin to look into the hole now that the light was diminishing, yet as he turned to notify Elu...the female had taken off into a blind run into the opening enterance way. "What the..." He hissed, taking off after her as he could hear the gears begin to close the wall. Pausing for a moment, he made sure none of the dark malu got through as it touched back onto the ground before continuing to follow Elu.
Frowning he had picked up the small 'yes' she muttered before taking off in the abrupt run. Strange....perhaps she was losing it? Coming upon a small room with a tunnel leading up to the light, Aion knew this was a way to the surface. Slowing as he stopped in the room to catch his breath, he knew Elu was much more equipt to run than he...as she had clearly shown back with the Jaguar. He didn't say anything, however...feeling he had nothing to talk about anyways.

Elu's body careened farther down the passage way, leading toward somewhere only Elu's goddess seemed to know, her body skidded as she turned a corner and dove through a cracked archway and into a large room. The room was not dark, the glowing green mushrooms along with a strange glwing moss grew inside the room. It seemed to be a antechamber to something, a giant rock lay in the middle of the room, whatever fabric that had once been on the rotted furniture had long decayed away.
Elu's body leapt and spun on the large rock. Her head lowered slightly in a challenging stance. "Come now, boy." She called into the corridor, "Don't be shy, come and talk to me." The voice that emerged from Elu's lips were not her usual, soft banter, it was far deeper and melodious, clearly not her own. A knowing smile played across her lips and her tail flicked once, then twice in anticipation.

Entering the shroom-lit room, his eyes adjusted to the glowing green walls as Elu leaped upon the rock. Tilting his head slightly as his chest heaved to regain his breath, something seemed different about Elu, yet to what it was he had not a clue. Perhaps she was suffering from post-pregnancy insanity? Inwardly he snickered at the thought, he wouldn't be suprised if that was the case. Taking a few casual strides foreward, his singular orange orb glowed from the illuminated fungi, his white orb appearing green under the lights influence. "Since when did you call adult males boys, Elu'ituha?"
It was also rare that he ever used her full name, finding it a bother that it was so long, like it ran in the family. Luckily he had his way with the children, as they all had relatively short names like he. Walking past her as she challenged him on the boulder, his body was turned to the exit, eager to get out and back where the air was clean and didn't reek of dead bodies and decay. "Come now, Elu. Get off the rock and lets get out of here."

A chuckle reverberated across the room, "I apologize, prince," Replied a voice softly, golden eyes klocking with his, "But my daughter has....departed for a bit and we are not leavng this place." She hopped off of the rock and moved forward, vanishing at one point and re-appearing right in front of him, "Settle down, prince." She murmured, pressing him back, "There is something that you must do for us...." She nipped at his ear, golden eyes filled with amusement, "And so you should listen...." She curled round him slightly, arching her back under his chin, her movements almst seductive in nature, "Listen....and learn....Learn....and be tested..." Though her voice was no more then a whisper it reverberated against the walls, echoing over and over.
She moved past him and vanished again as if blowing away slowly, only to reappear on the rock again, "Come now, Prince, don't you want to know, why your mate is acting this way...?" She asked softly, a playful smirk flickering across her maw.

Prince? Aion's head twirled around as his brow raised in question, staring down his mate who seemed to be posessed or something from the way she talked. Reguardless...he did not enjoy the fact she ordered that they were to remain down here. "Listen, you." He all but spat, yet was cut off as she approached, slithering around him and brushing her back on his chin. Shaking his head as she nipped his ear, a growl rose in his deep vocals, not enjoying her behavior in the slightest. "Oh should I? I don't believe I have to do anything for either of you....or are you going to make me, thou who has no name, nor body of her own."
Following to the best of his abilities as she seemed to fade in and out, he turned his full attention to her as she appeared on the rock for good. Strolling forewards and pausing as he stood before the rock, he smirked lighhtly, a flare of his old lustrous spark returning. Leanding his head up, he nipped her paw lightly before sensuously running his tongue in a lick over her brown paw. "You best hurry, or you'll draw my attention dry...."

She chuckled darkly, "Fortunetly for you, do not have that ability though some of my fellows do." She replied airily, waving a single paw. She raised a brow and turned her head to look sideways at him as he licked her paw, "While your mate might wither at your touch, Prince," She murmured and lowered her head until their faces were mere inches apart, "I....am not under such a spell." She tossed her head, golden eyes glittering, "Now, whether or not you may care, I will tell a bit of what will happen." She chuckled, watching him. She leapt off the rock and slowly circled him, weaving in and out, always just out of reach of him, "A test, Prince...." She murmured, her voice once agan reverberating, "A test of bonds...."
She circled him a last time and leapt back onto the rock, "You must know that the one known as Elu'ituha is a gentle soul, taken uner my wing because of her circumstances." She began softly. She paused, seating herself on the rock and looking at him, her golden eyes watching and revealing nothing, "And as such, she s precious to me." She licked a paw lazily, the green glow of the moss shining her in an eerie glow, "So...when she finally took a mate, it was much to my surprise, that it was one such as yourself." She leapt off the rock and advanced on him her lips spliting into a snarl, a growl evident in her voice, "One with such close ties to Darkness, One who, if given the encouragement, could ruin his life and that of those who care about him,"
She halted and retreated a few steps, her composure regained, "You must be bored, Prince," She chuckled softly, eyes glittering with hidden emotion, "So I will make this short." She turned and leapt back onto the rock, "A test, Prince, a simple test. If you pass--Elu'ituha and the children will remain with you and will have my blessing. If you fail--" Her eyes hardened and her entire posture became challenging, "They will not." She relaxed and smiled at him, "Are you prepared, Aion, Prince of Corruption?" She asked calmly.
