Pain shot through her back hind leg as the male sunk his teeth into it. Ultima roared angrily and let her claws furiously attack the male on the face until he was able to get him off. She crouched low to the ground, not letting her back hind leg get the better of her because it hurt like crazy. She circled the male a few times before she lunged for his exposed neck and sunk her teeth into the soft flesh. She felt the warm blood slowly seep into her mouth and down the sides of her face as she tightened her grip on the male. She was going to make him pay for all the suffering she had gone through. It would the end for this unfortunate male and this thought made her eyes light up with a devilish glean.

This had to be the end, Ravi wasn't quick enough to dodge the female's attack because he was slowly losing his energy. Golden eyes were wide with fear as her teeth clamped around his neck and it was getting harder and harder to breath. He gasped and sputtered for air as he squirmed to get out of her grasp. There was no way he was going to die like this. But, with every move he made, the female's grip just got stronger and stronger. Slowly, with the amount of blood that he was losing, his vision was starting to fade in and out.
This couldn't be the end, it just couldn't be, but the fire he once had inside of him had long since abandoned him. This just had to prove that he was useless and couldn't defend anyone, not even himself. With one last effort to get the female off of him, he was successful but it took so much energy out of him that he immediately collasped on the ground. Sides heaved in and out with each labored breath as he could feel a few tears break free and roll down the sides of his cheeks.

A lone, white shadow rolled across the lands. Sevati had wandered away from her family in a fit of sadness and anger. She had never wanted to leave her homelands and her friends behind, but it made her bitter thinking about all the fun that her sister would be having while she was being miserable. The little, white juvenile was not one to be so bitter about something but this was an exception. There was no way she'd speak to her sister again, all connections they shared have long since been dissolved. She wanted nothing more to do with Ausi, she was nothing more than a stranger to Sevati.
It didn't take her long before lime green noticed that she was lost. How could she have been so stupid and not realized she was going so far from her father? Oh yea, that's right, she was thinking about her good-for-nothing sister. Eyes narrowed a bit before they shot up in alarm. Off in the distance were two lions and they appeared to be fighting. She lowered herself to the ground, afraid she'd get caught as she feared for her life. But, it didn't take too long to realize that one side of the fight was winning over the other. Involuntarily gasping in alarm as the young male was caught on the throat by the other, she raced towards the two, throwing away all caution.
Calling out in alarm, she yelled, "Leave him be!" Sevati had no intentions on letting this female seriously hurt the male anymore than she had. It made her sad at the sight of the poor male, he was seriously injured and needed help as soon as possible. Lime green welled up in pain at the sight before her, she never liked to see others get hurt. "Can't you see you're hurting him!"

Surprised by the burst of energy the male had, Ultima had thought she would be feeling him take his last breath, but he had other ideas. Silvery eyes lit up with glee at the male's tears. How pathetic, males should not cry much less be as weak as this one was. She was doing them all a favor by getting rid of this male. Just as she was about to finish this one off, someone had decided to interupt them. Eyes narrowed to slits as they landed on a little, white juvenile. Snarling angrily, "Get away before I hurt you too." While she wouldn't really go and attack females, but if she was provoked enough, she'd defend herself.

Ears perked up at the sounds of another, and by the sound of the voice, the lion sounded young. Ravi tried to open up his good eye but the light was very strong and he had to wince. Before him stood a small, white juvenile whom he's never seen before but was defending him. As the female's attention was diverted to the juvenile, he tried to move, to get away but his legs weren't listening to him. Sighing in defeat, there was nothing for him to do here now, but to let the end come.
Stuttering out in between coughs, "You...you should leave. This..this does not concern you." He didn't want to see the little one get hurt like himself, it would make this all the more worse as he was already admitting defeat.

Her head shook as Sevati stood her ground. She would not be intimidated by this female, who was so mean as to hurt this poor male. Lime green eyes narrowed as she let out a smal growl. "I don't think so! I am not going to leave and let you hurt this lion any longer. While she may be a Mistweaver by nature, she was a Firekin at heart. She took a few steps closer towards the two and stood by the fallen male. He looked so bad, the grass around him was all crimson with his blood.
Her eyes shifted towards the male as she spoke softly to him, "I'm not going to watch you suffer anymore." And with that, she looked back towards the female as she spoke firmly, "Leave him be. You won't be hurting him anymore!"

Ultima licked her lips in anticipation at this little female's boldness. It kind of reminded her of herself, though she was not so stupid as to butt into another's battle. Leaving the male be, she was done with him anyway. Why dirty her paws with more filth? She growled at the little female before swiping a paw at her face and knocking her down. With a paw, she held the little female down against the ground and relished in the squirming. "That's right. Move all you want, Little One, but you'll see the mistake that you've made." With her other paw, she slashed it across the pretty one's face before laughing evily. "That'll teach you to butt into things that don't concern you." As the little female was still held in her grasps, she lowered her head and whispered in the little female's ear, "Don't ever let me see you again, or I will kill you and anyone you love." She sunk her teeth into the little female's neck and jerked it sharply before letting go.
Shaking herself off, she was done here. Looking over the two fallen lions, it made her happy at her accomplishment, seeing the fear in their eyes. Laughing evily, she turned and headed off away from the two without a single glance. She wouldn't be wasting anymore of her time on such filth.

Pain was everywhere and anywhere that Ravi could feel. He could hear the little female near him and she was in pain as well. What use would he be now that he knew he was worthless. Not only did he get seriously hurt, but this kind female had gotten hurt as well. It shamed him to no end, but if he had listened to Kol and his mother about learning to defend himself, then this would not have happened. The tears rolled down his face as he tried to talk to the other, even though it hurt to do so. "I told you to leave..I didn't want to see you get hurt. This was my problem, you didn't have to get involved." He wanted to see what she looked like, but his vision was so blurred and with his hurt eye, it was impossible to see right now. Shame washed over him as she had to see him like this, so weak and defenseless.

A dull, throbing pain could be felt on her face as Sevati tried to smile at the male. At least she helped spare him any more pain as he already looked defeated to her. Paws raised her up as she walked towards the male. A feeling arose within her before she lowered her head to lick his wound across his eye. It looked very bad and if it wasn't clean, it would more than likely get infected. The metallic taste of blood was strong before she giggled softly. Only someone so naive and dense such as herself could be halfway cheerful after an encounter like she just had. "I would have left you here to die. What would that make me? No better than that nasty female!"
Sitting down next to the male, she proceeded to clean each of his wounds after she paid a little more attention to his eye. Hopefully he'd be able to see out of it and that he would lose any sight. She spoke softly to the male, not caring if he listened or not. "I am Sevati, by the way. I kind of wandered away from my family because we're moving to a new home since our old one didn't want us anymore..." It was still painful to think about, especially since she got into a fight with her sister. Ears lowered a bit before she took a good look at the male. He was a large male with a deep crimson coat and an unusual mane color. For some reason, there was something about him that reminded her of her father. Perhaps, it was the red. "You know...you're the first lion that I've met who has red besides my sister and father. They say that we lions who have red are bad, but we're not..." Her voice trailed off quietly before her eyes glazed over.

As the female's tongue rolled over each of his wounds, Ravi winced in pain and held his tongue. What good would it do to whimper like a cub? He was already pathetic enough as it is. Ears drooped slightly as he tried to shift away from the female but instead got a wave of pain shooting through his body. Not a good move, guess he's stuck here. He could feel the water rise in his eyes as his right eye stung with the salty tears that threatened to stain his cheeks once again.
His pride had long since vanished, what could be worse than being ripped to shreds by an aggressive female? The young Firekin couldn't feel anything anymore, with the dull, aching pain numbing him all over. Sevati? The little female's name was Sevati? Ravi silently wondered how old she was, since she didn't sound very old to be wandering off by herself and what she looked like. He wasn't even going to attempt to open his eyes at the moment, since he didn't want another wave of pain. As she spoke, something within the male stirred. He didn't know what it was, but for some reason or another, her words calmed him. He let her talk, since apparently she wasn't going to leave and heed his words, so why bother wasting them?
Though, something about what Sevati was saying struck a heartstring in him. Her pride didn't want her anymore? He figured she should be lucky that she has a place to go to, while him and his mother are still wandering with no destination in sight. Maybe things weren't all what they seemed to be in a pride, if one wasn't wanted? Well, first things first. Since she introduced herself, he should do the same. "It's nice to meet you, Sevati. I'm Ravi." Turning his head away, he spoke softly, "I am worthless...I couldn't even defend myself..."

A small, sad smile slowly spread on Sevati's features. She could see his face cringe and ears twitched as he was lost, thinking to himself. Ravi...it was a strong name, at least it was to her but apparently it was to him. The hurt and loss was written all over Ravi's features as he looked so sad and defeated. Though, his words shocked her as green eyes were wide with surprise! That was no way to make the situation any better and she had to do something. She couldn't just leave him here and suffer. Gently, she nuzzled his cheek, hoping to reassure him. Since she couldn't hold a good relationship with her sister, she didn't want things to go badly with this lion. It looked like he needed her more than she needed him.
Shaking her head, "That's no way to think, Ravi! You're not worthless and you shouldn't think such thoughts, because when you do, you aren't all that you can be!" She creeped closer to him, wanting some physical comfort at the moment, as she feels lost. Here she was trying to comfort an older male lion when she herself was lost in an unknown place. Plus, she was still just a juvenile and quite childish, so feeling the male against her small body made her think of her father. Ravi did look so much like him, which is probably why she is still here and taking care of the male. Softly, she gazed at the male, taking in his features underneath all the blood that was puddled around him. She didn't care if her pretty, white pelt was stained red. At least it'd prove to her that she was more of her father than what she was. She wouldn't be so much of an oddball in her family if she has more red on her.
Her eyes traced over his features, noting the strong lines that were just beginning to develop on Ravi. He would grow into a large, and powerful lion, just like her father. Eyes sullen a bit as her ears flatten against her head, she felt slightly useless being so young and in this situation. She really had no idea how to care for this torn-up male other than to clean his wounds. He needed some other kind of help, but she didn't want to leave him alone. Head lowered till it rested on her paws as she snugged closer to the male and closed her eyes. Gently, she spoke to Ravi, "You might feel worthless, but I feel useless. My pride didn't want me, my sister doesn't want me, and you, a stranger I have just met, doesn't want me. I want a purpose. I want to know why I am here, trying to help you when we have just met," She paused, willing herself not to let out a sob as a dull ache spread across her face. A paw gently touched the bridge of her nose as a sticky, wet substance was felt. She was bleedinng and it wouldn't surprise her if she would soon match Ravi's crimson color.

The small female's words did have an impact on Ravi. Someone he had just met could say such things about him, it made him stop and look at himself with a new light. Perhaps he wasn't all that useless, he's made it this far by himself, what's to say he can't go on being the way he is? It was just amazing how she was being so nice to him, nuturing him when he had nothing to offer in return. Though, feeling something small and warm press itself against his shoulder and he quickly assumed that it was Sevati. Her presence made him calm, even if he couldn't see what she looked like.
Moving his head slightly, he could feel Sevati tremble against his should. It made him slightly worried about her. Shouldn't her family be looking for her? He nosed around till he nudged what he thought was her neck. Gently, he lolled his tongue over her cheek, tasting the sticky, metallic blood. She was bleeding and here she was cleaning his wounds! "Sevati...you're bleeding." As he tried to open his eyes, the pain was sharp and spread through his body like lightning. Everything was crimson and blurry by the blood. He blinked quite a number of times till things started to look less like blood and what he saw amazed him. Sevati was just a juvenile! Her pure white fur was stained with blood everywhere and he could guess that most of it was his. Gently, he lowered his head till he looked her eye to eye. While it pained him to keep his one eye open, he wanted to look at her eyes. "Everything is so chaotic at the moment, I'm not thinking straight. Please, don't take it to heart." And with, he laid his head back down on the ground and closed his eyes.

Surprised, Sevati mewed softly as Ravi licked her cheek. That was something she was not expecting at all. The gesture didn't go unwarrated as it comforted her greatly and a smile slowly spread across her features. As he opened his wounded eye and got a good look at her, she was lost in his golden orbs. They were such a nice shade, but he shouldn't be opening his eye! She raised her paw slowly before his words struck her strings. "You do?" Her tail flicked from side to side as she felt happy. No sooner had her happiness came did it vanish. Ravi needed help, that was for sure. At his mention of blood, she brushed it off. "It's alright, don't worry about me, we need to worry about you."
Pushing herself up, she gently nudged him to get up as well. "Ravi, as much as I'd like to stay here and rest, we're too out in the open. We should go and find my father. He might be able to help you get better since I don't know how to." It wouldn't do any good for him to get an infection.

Her words made sense to Ravi, they weren't getting much accomplished here. Sevati wouldn't leave him to his own devices and she was too young to know anything about healing...they needed to seek an adult. Though, the idea didn't sound too promising to seek help since it'd make him feel even more worthless with himself. Ears perked up slightly as he raised his head, "You're father...I don't think that's a good idea. He will probably get the wrong impression about the whole mess and I don't want to start anything. I think it's best if I just stay here."
His head went back towards his paws and rested on them. The pain was just a dull ache now that he was trying to push into the back of his mind. Although, the idea of moving to a clean area was just as tempting. This was a place he didn't want to return to and it reeked of blood. Reasoning with himself silently, it probably would be best to at least try to get up and move to a new area, but he didn't want to see Sevati's father. Oh no, he just knew something bad would happen. "I want to go someplace clean. You can head back to your family, they're probably missing you by now." He tried to push himself up and felt sharp pain spread across his body. It was painful and he winced but bared it. He needed to find a new place to rest. He slowly opened one eye and kept the other shut.
