This always happens. I go into a store to buy one thing, just one little thing, and I come out with something I never intended to purchase. It's not my fault the little bakery I usually stop at on the way home from work was closed today. I should have known better than to stop into the curious little shop down the road. It's barely noticeable, tucked away where it is, almost as if you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. But there I found myself, craving something chocolate, and I went in.
Of course, they didn't have quite what I wanted, but me being who I am, I couldn't leave empty handed and look suspicious! So I ordered a reasonable fascimile of my usual, and departed with much haste. A little bag of sweets really shouldn't have felt that weighty, and that really should have tipped me off, yet it wasn't until I was allready home that I dicovered the curio tucked away amidst the caramels. A little music box, no doubt accidentally knocked into my order, but still! What was I do do? I certainly can't return it! How suspiscious would that look? What if they think I've stolen it? By now they've obviously realised it's gone missing. Oh dear me.
Maybe after a good night's sleep, I'll have a better idea of what to do. The situation has completely ruined my mood for sweets. The musicbox is in my study, out of the way. Hopefully none of the others will find it and wonder where it came from. At least, not until I've decided what exactly to do with it...
