"I can pick ya up. No sweat, yer not 'zactally a heavy lil' thing I'd think." He reached down and grabbed the girl gently at her sides, lifting her up over his head, "See? No sweat. Yer light as a sac o' paper." Or so he guessed...

True she wasn't very heavy, her wings splayed out to show a vivid pink and yellow that had been hidden by the outer shell. She gave a little giggle and then a hand reached out to grab hold of a horn.
"Can yous fly?" She asked, as she hadn't been able to tke flight at all even though she had wings. The horn felt neat...it was smooth, and the tip was of course pointy.

Cody watched her as she reached up to grab at his horns, grinding his teeth a bit. They were sharp and well worth caution. They'd been chipped a bit here and there from his little adventures with the walls, trees, and other things of the like that he'd become lodged in. "Hey now, careful touchin' those. They're sharp as they are cool lookin', not to mention thick. Ya don't wanna get no scratches 'cause of 'em, now ya 'ere?"
The second question sent him into a fit of laughter, perhaps the girl was too much into the old nursery rhymes. "Naw in this world I dunno 'bout no cows jumpin' over no moons but mah hooves've never left th' ground, little lady."

She let go of his horn and then stared at Cody's face. No flying huh? Welll shoot....she was going to have to find SOMEONE who could fly. She needed to be taught eventually right?
She was impressed by the fact he could lift her steadily, she reached out and with the tip of her finger touched the nose ring. He said it doesn't hur tnow, she still was having doubts about that.
"Moon?" she queried not sure what he really meant. She wasn't too big on nursury rhymes or stories either.
"you be silly." she replied after thinking about his laugh for a while. But the laugh did earn him a smile.

"Well that just ain't right. No kid should not know 'bout that ol' nursery rhyme. Hell even a manly bulk like m'self knows 'bout 'em." He pulled back slowly, keeping her hands far from his horns. They were just downright dangerous.
Cody slowly set the girl back down on her feet then smirked, glancing around shortly, "Alright, I'll teach ya but if anyone asks, ya gotta not tell no one that it was me that told ya, kay? Gotta keep an image."
He watched her for a moment then sat himself down on the ground, "Kay, it goes like this-
'Hey diddle diddle, The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon.
The little dog laughed To see such sport, And the dish ran away with the spoon.'
Kinda silly, but it makes good for jus' a'fore bedtime."

Looking at him while he explained the nursery rhyme she tilted her head. Cat and fiddle? Cow jumping over the moon? Could dogs really laugh?
"That...is a swilly rhyme..." She mentioned trying to look serious, though her expression changed in an instant as she pondered at dishware coming alive.
"Can dishes really run?" she asked placing a hand on his arm like he was a life preserver and would save her if dishes suddenly sprang up from nowhere to attack.

"Naw, 's all jus' a nursery rhyme tah get yer mind thinkin' 'bout dream stuff so ya go to bed faster I suppose. I ain't never seen no cat play no fiddle and you don't see me jumpin' over a moon. Can jump alright, can't land well though. Not supposed tah be tryin' tah jump much 'less th' grounds padded." He stomped a hoof in the bark chips under him, "Floors made of wood, rock, n' metal make me slip 'round lots."
He folded his arms, "But I bet'cha don't got that problem."

Zyanya looked down at her two feet and then to Cody's. Yep they were certianly different.
"i've gots gwood bawalance." She replied with a smile feeling a bit more at ease/ Good dishes won't come alive. Though it would of been interseting to see a cat play a fiddle. Whatever that was anyway.
"I am very goods at stwanding still too!" she pointed out and then immediately brought her arms close to her body and stood perfectly still. Mantis style.

Cody chuckled, lifting up one of his hooves, "I can't get good balance when I'm on th' inside 'less they got carpetin'. Standin's good but 'cha won't do nothin' all that good if ya just stand there an' do nothin. Ya gotta learn tah defend yerself." He smirked a bit. A mantis huh? He'd seen something about China-men fighting with a mantis style.
"Ya can fight like all ninja choppin' I bet." He held his hands out and mocked a kick, "HIIIYAH! Like that -see? Good balance means ya can do good kickin' an' punchin."

She looked to Cody with alrge eyes watching him make martial arts motions with his arms and legs.
"Ninja's fwight wike mantisess?" She asked in awe, now this was something she had never heard of. She would need to bug her mom about that soon. She didn't quite understand what Cody meant by not having good balance unlesss there was carpet but she let ti slide she would also ask her mom about that later.
" I want to wearn how to fihts wike a mantis!" she excliamed in excitement.

"Somethin' like that." Cody rubbed the back of his neck, "All I know's from th' movies that I watch 'ere n' there. Prayin' mantis style...somethin' like it. Ask yer ma'. Adults know bit more than I do, kid." He smirked a bit and glanced over his shoulder, letting out a long whistle.
"I suppose I better get on back home. My mom an' brother'll kill me if they find out I got out again." He chuckled a bit, tipping his hat back, "Ya don't go breakin' no rules like me, kay? Get ya less grounded an' less needles in yer skin."
