Our guild, Fast Gold 4 Poor Gaians, is rather successful and that's because our members stay dedicated. Not only that but we are keen on our rules and don’t tolerate illiteracy in the main forum.
The guild started off with just inviting anybody and then progressing to where it is now. So you can invite whomever, have your guild get into a flow of things, and keep it organized ^.^ If you run your guild nicely, people will want to stick around.
And being silly seems to attract people.

I'm incredibly silly, and I try to stay litterate, and I dress funny... but they dislike me, for some reason. crying
OK so they don't actually dislike me, infact I'm usually the main attraction in guilds because I'm just that cool. We're trying some recruitment runs shortly, and we're just sorted out the main (and only) forum. I think shortly we'll have a guild that moves nicely, also a new banner is being made as we speak. domokun I just hope all the trouble is worth it.

Mostly members like role-playing kind of guilds. They are fun to act in too. You might wanna try that.
Other than that, there is no trick to it. cool
