Red curled his lip in disgust at Angaza "This has nothing to do with the food chain. There is a line between hunting to eat and hunting to murder." but the comment about cubs rankled him more than anything else and he stepped a little nearer, bristling. "No. She is not one of mine." His cubs were all gone. "But I'lll make sure that you at least, won't touch a hair on her. I might look flimsy but I can fight. It's one of the few things that runs in my family." he smirked, glancing briefly over at Danzi.
"No. Never seen him before." Red didn't see many lions, Na was the one who socialised with others.
He wasn't stupid enough to miss the hyenas edging away however and followed along. "I'd suggest you leave before you get ejected."
He just hoped that the orange male was also versed in the odd fight.

A deep snarl escaped the orange male as he watched the female hyena. "Take one step closer and I will rip you apart." Normallly, Danzi wouldn't hurt another living being unless it was prey for food. But hyenas attacking cubs was a whole other matter, and he had a strong loyalty towards protecting cubs. Hesitation was not present, even if the hyena was young. Green eyes snapped to the adult hyena. What was a creamsicle? Whatever it was, he took that an insult.
There was no distracting these lions. There were only two hyenas, three lions... And it'd be hard to distract both adults long enough to nail the cub. It was, in her mind, a matter of numbers. They did not have numbers enough. Schatz backed up a bit, glaring. "This isn't over, fleabags."

Angaza seemed to notice the cue from Schatz, and smirked.
"That's right... You think you're safe for now. We'll be back, and you can't stop us next time. And next time you WON'T deny us a meal." The hyena laughed madly for a minute. No, he would return...
Only he'd see about Rallying the others as well. Plenty of lion for the others, afterall, if this was any indication. He looked down at Schatz.
"We'll stand down for now. But we return later."
He smirked, turning as he bgan to head back for the Graveyard. Who knew, maybe he'd even get the ol' b***h Mafa out there. She'd probably have fun, then. They had no need to remain, starving, in the graveyard, then.
Kabchi peered out after a minute nerviously. She wasn't sure where they were going, but she didn't like it up there in the North now. There was a REASON that den had been unoccupied, and that was probably it. She'd best collect Legeti, and hopefully before those.. Whatevers got him. ... What were those?
Then she looked up at the other lion a minute, tilting her head before warily trotting out. He was BLUE~! And WHITE! She started bounding over to nuzzle the lion's leg before she skidded to a halt. He was blue and white, yes, but he wasn't who she thought he was. Even for that moment, she'd hoped, although now... Well. Both ears and tail went down before she sat.
"Thank you, Mr. Lionpleasedon'teatme."

Red snarled after them. "Come back and I won't hesitate to rip out your mangy throats." his tail lashing at his hind paws. He watched them go with the chilliness only Red possessed clear in his gaze. At least, until it faded, leaving behind that dull amiability that marked out Na-Be. He blinked confusedly, looking about himself in mild concern. It took him a few moments to figure out what lions were real from his muddled visions of past, present and future. Only when he had did he actually realise that the little cub was now at his feet, he looked down at her and smiled amiably.
"I won't eat you. You are a lion. I don't eat lions." he laughed, as though the suggestion was totally absurd. "Thankingme?" he looked around at the empty grasses, lacking hyenas "Whaddid I do? Something good? YAY!"
He spotted Danzi and grinned "Hullo miiister. You are orange. Like an....an...orange!"

THe lion was messed in the head, but... At least he was a good messed in the head. For now. Danzi padded after the cub. "You scared off hyenas, that's what you did. And yes, I know I'm orange. And you're... Blue..." Then again, he'd seen green lions, and Isi had purple on her. The cub was blue AND purple. So... One couldn't be too surprised.

Kabichi smiled weakly, then pawed him carefully. He seemed nice, so she was glad of that.
"What's your name, mister?"
Then she looked up and smiled the sad little smile at Danzi, tail switching.

"I'm Na-Be." he said with a big grin. "But Na-Be has to go home now. He is thirsty. Bye orange man and little girl." And rather spontaneously and without the slightest bit of warning, he skipped off into the grasses, Red rolling his eyes mentally at the sheer idiocy of his alter ego.

That was... Odd. Shrugging a bit, Danzi grabbed the cub by the scruff. He wasn't leaving her alone, that was for sure! With a bit of a purr, he carried her off to put her with his eight younger siblings. At the very least, then she'd have safety.

"Waaaiiit!" Kabichi flailed.
"I need to get Legeti! I left him at our den! What if the big, mean furry things eat him!?"
The cub looked up pitifully.
