You can connect up to four Wii-motes wirelessly at once.

I don't kno whether that is a sad story or a congradulating story.... I mean 1) that is less time YOU are spending on it or 2) that means you can pay it more because your dad would be willing to play with you...

`Chloe Sullivan` Thats cool. Is there anyway to do more then that? I don't think so. Most games only go up to four-player anyway, though, unless you're playing together over the internet or a LAN. Maybe they'll bring out some kind of wireless multitap if a game ever comes out for the Wii that goes higher than four-player multiplayer.

Er, huge post. Sub-headings pretentious but appropriate.
"Next-Gen" The Xbox 360 Premium system is internet-ready. You have to buy a wireless network adaptor if you want to connect wirelessly, though. The Core system needs some upgrading if you want to get it online at all. There's also a fee for Xbox Live Gold accounts, but it's not a great deal.
The Wii comes internet-ready. It can connect wirelessly or through a wired modem as long as you have broadband, but I think you have to buy the ethernet cable separately if you don't have a wireless router at home. You can also buy a USB thing that will serve as a wireless access point if you don't have a wireless router and you want to connect wirelessly. Nintendo charge nothing to connect either way.
I'm not too sure about the PlayStation 3 because it hasn't been released in the United Kingdom yet, but I think the deal is similar to that with the Xbox 360; as far as I know, the Premium system comes internet-ready, including wireless connectivity. I think if you buy the Basic system you have to upgrade it to connect wirelessly. Also as far as I know, the PlayStation Network is completely free.
Last Gen Of the original Xbox, the Nintendo GameCube and the PlayStation 2, the only one worth connecting with at all is the original Xbox. As far as I know, the PlayStation 2 has no Live-esque system once you're connected, and I don't think the GameCube even has connectivity. I think you have to buy ethernet cables to connect the Xbox or the PlayStation 2, and there might be adaptors involved as well.
Handheld Both current-generation handhelds, the Nintendo DS and the PSP, connect to the internet wirelessly. If you want to browse the web using the DS you have to buy the Opera browser separately; I'm not sure about the PSP, although I think it's part of the firmware. Also, aforementioned USB drive that serves as a wireless access point for the Wii serves as a wireless access point for the DS as well if you don't have a wireless router at home.
The GameBoy Advance and older handhelds have no connectivity at all.

I think it is kinda stupid that people are breaking windows and tv screens because of broken wrist straps. I mean you don't need to fling the thing.

SaberFireTiger I think it is kinda stupid that people are breaking windows and tv screens because of broken wrist straps. I mean you don't need to fling the thing. I don't understand how they're breaking the wrist straps. I keep hearing that they're too weak, but it's hardly like the slightest pressure would pull it out. You'd still have to throw it pretty hard. neutral I don't know. Maybe some people enjoy flailing about really excessively.
