Lewatle nudged the sunken body against her. His spine pressed against her own, making her shiver lightly. Her slender body stretched out more along him and against him as her tail swept over the sand behind her in content. She licked furiously at his paws as his frame rattled with his breath. Such a simple gesture for him seemed so troubled and pained but not to him.
She wanted him to stay even just for a few days. Her imagined heart beat eer faster at the soft nudges from that cracked and bloody muzzle.
"As does mine. The waves carry me as they see fit but I will always come back here...for you." It seemed odd that she felt so much for this God considering that this was their first meeting. The bond was strong though. The feeling of his neck around her made her breath hitch. Just for him...for now at least
"Jaddis..."

The stoney eyed god had to think to feel the touch of her nose upon his paws. He had to beleive she was and for a breif moment he had to know that she was there and being tender to him. It was a strange feeling, so many of them falling over that intelligent but unknowing mind. He had never truthfully had a female this close, he had always kept this form and creatures, both mortal and god feared his apperance, or at least they would avoid such close contact to him. His powers could leak occasionally and even though a god could not truely be touched by his power they could certainly feel the lick of starvation at their stomachs.
He held back the whisper of his inner strength though simply clinging to this goddess before him, holding on to this moment like a limpett, breathing in her damp salty scent, tasting the heat of her body, which he, strangely seemed to be causing. It surprised him, these moments, surprised him that she was here even curled beside him, he wanted her to stay, he wanted to be with her to hold her in his distorted grip forever. he had not taken a breath for quite a while having forgotten to do it in this moment of sweet silence, laying next to a creature whom he could be one with, perhaps. He did want ehr to stay, he had never felt the feeling of lonelyness, of the need for companion ship, yet heer she was, curled next to him and it almost felt like to release her from his grasp would be to loose something he never thought he had ever owned.
At last he seemed to remember that he was supposed to breath, that he was supposed to draw that bone rattling breath though he perhaps did so begrudgingly, he didn't wish to break the silence between them. "Lewatle.." He trailed off, or the voicedid though it clearly wished to whisper more, that voice which had been so stern and cold, filled with ice and a lust only for his job almost pleasent now. "Lewatle, the time has been short between us, do you feel it too?" The voice questioned, his nose still burried in her mane of hair his own tattered mane mingling with her dark tresses. His body was destracted, pleased, almost warm though still that skin felt close to death, he was certainly slightly warmer than before, she made him feel? She was making him feel? If he ever had felt before, he couldn't remember it, she was special, she had to be his, they could belong to one another. He could feel it, sence it, breath in the scent of her fur forever.
His cold eyes closed as he once again brushed his nose accross her shoulders, he knew he couldn't stay forever, but his time would be spent heer now ehen he could. Something had happened, he breathed out, that long cold sickly death filled breath shaking his frame, soemthing very strange had happened.

Lewatle breathed in slowly. The grooming of his paws continued as thoughts ran through her head. Thoughts that made her cringe. Thoughts that made her heart flutter and thoughts that made the blush deepen even further. She had been in this situation with other males, having dote over her, worship her even but this was a God and completely different. As expected, there was a small ping of hunger deep in her stomach but she willed it back. This was secondary to...a new kind of hunger. This god brought her much more than starvation.
She couldn't believe that she was curled around him. Couldn't believe that this thing was giving her such tender affection. The cool of his body only made her temperature rise, made her heart beat faster. A loud purr erupted from her chest. A deep gurgle ollowed it as she blew a small and brightly colored bubble in the air. The bubble twisted and turned in the air to mold itself into different shapes. Fish, bones and colors. It shone it's brightest when it mimicked the beauty of the sunset with reds, golds and purples.
"All I feel is you Jaddis. I feel nothing else but I have to tell you this..." The took a deep and rattling breath, almost as potent as his, before continuing. "I feel for you. I really do. You've shown me that I can stil be happy." The words had escaped her for a moment. Her maw hung open as she tried desperately to find the right words to tell him. A shock went through her when she did. "We are the same and yet different. You are land and I am sea, forever to be near it, in it." She starred up at him with large, tired eyes. "You are a dear friend to me Jaddis and I wish to keep you as a friend but let us spend this night together without regrets..."

Jaddis watched the watery female, she could think he was of the land only but he had before braught famine to the waters. His domain was every where, he would let her think he was simply a beast of the land though, his cool freame pressed roughly in to hers as he lifted his dillapidated skull, those grey stoney eyes watching the femme whom sat so close to him. There was a question in his mind, it often floated there, could he feel? If he did would he feel the pain of this body? This frame which seemed it must fall appart with the breath of the wind, this body which was so broken his very breath seemed to wish to pull the frame in to a rotting pile.
Dark eyes turned to watch the waves for a moment as he breathed in her warm scent, she wanted him and it was so strange to the famine god to be wanted. "Regrets, regret is not an emotion I know" The voice sounded a little harder for a moment though as he turned his head back and brushed ehr hair from ehr cheek with his dead, dry nose the voice was once again quiet, tender, for her. "just this night then" His tail flickered and his wings flared out as he used the strength hidden inside this degraded form to push her in to the sand, a claw lifted and he draped his extremely slender frame over her dark, well fed form.
"There are no regrets, but I can feel nothing Lewatle, not the beat of the heart or the warmth of the body, to let myself feel, to let myself have that i would have to feel this." he lifted a paw before her eyes, the bones were visable even here beneath the skin, the mucle wasted only skin and bone remaining even his toes coudl no longer hold his claws their dark spikes forever outside of those shrunken toes. This was the first time truely that the body reacted in unison with the voice, Famine had long ago cast his feelings, those things that would pain him away and with them this disjointed voice. "I will give you what you want this eve Lewatle and i will return to watch you on the waves. land and sea may kiss, but they will never be one" It was a strange phrase, he did not beleive it but to say it perhaps made his mind aggree with it. When this night was over he would once again tread in land but the thoughts of the goddess of the drowned would bring him back to these shores even without his mission. Even if it was simply to watch.

Had the Goddess known that his realm stretched deep into the sea, she would have welcomed him to be with her. The feeling of his body against hers brought back harsh memories of her first love. The one who left her heart broken and alone. She certainly felt pain then but even with the prospect of losing him, it couldn't take her feelings for him away. Bubbles onace again began to whirls around them as she purred. Water dripped from her lips as her lungs finally fought her constant breath.
"Regret is just a trick of the mind. Everything we do is what was supposed to be." A thin film of tears welled behind her lids. The soft feeling of that thin muzzle against her cheek made a single tear run down her blue fur and fall deaftly to her paws. That voice made her heart burn. it was her voice. It stabbed at the heart that lay in her chest of jewels. Her breath hitched as she it her lip, trying to will back tears. "Just...tonight."
Her eyes sloqly opened to his ancient paw. The taut skin showed evey digit, every dip and crease of his joints. The watery Goddess starred at the sand before her. It all made sense now. He didn'twant to feel. His body was too long gone to be able to. She turned to him, bright eyes letting tears leak down. "I will wait for you..."

The night wore on silently, the stars came out, flickering on like tiny lights millions of miles away. they spent that night together, awake, without regrets. The famine god knew not of regrets, of such feelings. The night was simply strange to him, enjoyable but strange. The time vanished, he could not hold on to it, it slipped through his paws like fine grains of sand.
As first light kissed the reddening beach the god of starvation dettached himself from the tangles of lewatle's hair and touched her cheek one final time, his icey breath brushing along her fur before he turned to make his way back up the beach, his paws sinking in the soft sand as he went. It seemed even to this dillapidated god that it had been a life time since he had staggered down the beach the day before, and now he left it, the pull of his job taking his paws wheer it must.
As his bony feet finally touched solid, unmoving ground once again his stony eyes turned back, the first bright rays of the day refleted for a mere moment before they became those dark, careless orbs once again. He had a job to do, a night without regrets, a night on the sand, but it was just a night, his world, his job, his domain awaited his coming, he must obay it's pull. A rattled breath broke the mornings silence as he vanished over the verge, that breath which seemed it must pull apart his frame, the breath of a creature close to death, the breath of walking bones.
