Chun Hyang is a really good story, even though it's only one book. And the dragons and the tigers have to do with the magic that the man she falls in love with possess because he is a special type of police who goes around putting bad emperors, in this case the russian guy with the beard as you called him.

My only complaint about the series is this.... who the hell is her father? He's dead, but who is he? It's just something that bothers me.

this is a guess: i think he was the previous yang ban.
but thats just me.
however, in one of the chapters i remember a hint.
chun hyang: mother, what was the previous yang ban like?
wall mae:*smile* he was a wonderful man.
i think the way that her mother was all happy at the mention of the previous yang ban proves he must be chun hyangs dad. but thats just my guess.

This has to be most confusing story done by CLAMP. May it be a take off of another or something... it's the most confusing because I didn't get any of it. The Tsubasa one was a little better because it was less confusing in a sense of way ><

i actually really liked this manga, even though it was really short, i wish it consisted of more volumes... yea, i thought that the previous yang ban was chun hyang's father too, at least that's what i assumed, i really wish they had said who he was instead of leaving it open ended.... and the part she plays in tsubasa does clarify some of the questions about her, or maybe that's just me...
