shorelinedpoison you have to wonder what the current skinny puppy would sound like if dwayne were still around. The inverse of what it is now. Dwane was the guy behind the scenes influencing everything industrial. He was kinda just there in the back all the time... Although... If Dwane hadn't OD'd on heroine, the other members probably would still have drug addictions and more than likely someone else would have died. Something was bound to happen; What goes up must come down. Physics suck... neutral

Soviet Reunion Dwane was the guy behind the scenes influencing everything industrial. you sure about that? i don't know exactly who brought what to the table, but i do know dwayne was quite the fan of dance music, as evidenced by his solo work. as that seemed to be the direction they were going in on the process, i'd think if he didn't die, the current puppy would be even MORE dancey as a result. of course, this is just speculation and we'll never know for sure. ( obviously) then again, if dwayne never died puppy would have never broken up, and we'd have a hell of a lot more skinny puppy albums to enjoy. (like 10 years worth) as for your second point - it's common knowledge ogre more or less cleaned up his act during the last rights era. (the lyrics reflect that) and kevin was never really into hard drugs in the first place. it's just unfortunate, i guess, that dwayne ended up ODing. now this is making me wonder what the current puppy would sound like had it been one of the others that DID pass away. what if it had been kevin? would they even BOTHER reforming if it was kevin? i'm thinking too much.

You know, one newspaper reported Kevin as the one who died and not Dwayne. Wouldn't it be shocking to pick up the paper and read about your own death?

( obviously) Dwayne did all the melodic synth, but also some of the samples and the noise. Kevin was pretty good at percussion and guitar. I think the Process sounded the way it did because the label wanted the band to sound like NIN or something. Things were getting depressing.

Dwayne was a huge fan of lo fi electro and IDM, and love Aphex Twin's AFX work.

En_Hiver January 16th?! I heard that it was January 27th. Well to add another 2 days to the already lengthy wait, all the information I have received says Jan 29th! sweatdrop But from the few sound bits and bytes I've heard floating around the internet, I must admit I am quite excited, I think it'll probably top TGWOR for me as far as fav albums go!

I'm getting excited for this new album but I've heard it sounds a lot like ohGr. I don't find anything wrong with that, I think it's kinda cool but I wish Skinny Puppy and ohGr could keep different sounds but whatever. xd
