Knowing full well the teacher wasn't gong to baby him or his mistakes he pressed onwards. Though difficult he could feelhis body trying to heal the cuts while he worked. Not a great combination, it used more energy that he could produce. BUt this was a class, and he was going to pass it.
Back up. Duck. Sidestep. Sidestep.
He was starting to memorize the words, the rain helped to keep him from overheating and also helped keep his energy levels high. Back up. Duck. Sidestep. Sidestep.
He was no longer smiling though his face wrought with an expression of determination and stubborness.

Well he was getting better at dodging, which meant he'd stop dropping those hints. "Let's see if you can still keep up." He stated after the latest command and then dropped silent as he continued to send single blades of air toward the boy. He used the same methods to show the boy how they would come, but he didn't give the verbal command of HOW to dodge it.
If he didn't dodge, he'd never survive in an actual fight. If he did, well then perhaps they could move up to the next step. Which would be combining watching your opponent with actually rolling out of the way. Nothing would be as simple as just ducking in a real fight. Well... unless you had an opponent who had no idea what they where doing. Still, attacks didn't come as simply as this, so it was his job to teach the boy that.

YIKES. No words. No hint, this was going to get hard. He managed to duck the first one out of habit, then his mind got confused and he got hit by the second. Off banlanced he stumbeled to the side and manage to dodge the third. Ok calm down he could do this.
Taking a breath he watched the teachers movements, he could almost her the teachers voice echo each command in his head. Okay..sidestep, now duck, dodge to the right. Sidestep again. OKay now he was getting the hang of this, he tried to hide the smile of triumph on his face as he got the hang of it all.

Excellent. He'd gotten that one down. Next for a new step up. This might end up wiping the smile that was threatening to appear on the boys face. Perhaps.
"Now incorperate two types into one dodge." Or face the cnsequences. That would be Chath's only warning. He quickly moved his hand first up and then down quickly. Which mean't he'd need to both dodge and move forward or back. A summersault would be the best bet. But would the child think ahead enough to do that? He had explained various dodges more for a reason.
Of course, he didn't stop with one. He continued to send sets of two blades a a time wordlessly at the boy. After this they'd go back inside. He was wet enough as it was, and the boy would certainly need disinfectant.

Chath despite everything was a bit slow on the draw. He managed to do the first dodge but then his feet tripped over each other as he attempted to back up. Falling to the ground with a splurt of mud, coating his hands knees and shorts.
Looking up he knew the second wave of wnid was coming but as he had an eye full of mud he hadn't seen what hand movements the teacher had done, he could only raise his arms in front of his face to try and dampen the blow of the next two hits.
He scrambeled to his feet, no smile was going to pop onto his face now, just pure concentration. Okay he caught the next hand movements and managed to dodge them both this time, he felt a bit relieved, but that was short lived as he dodged the next set only to get hit by the third.

Maybe a bit harsh, maybe a bit unfair. He was just a kid. But hadn't he been told to teach them to fight? This was how a real fight would be, an endless amount of attacks set to kill. That's how people fought. Kill, o rbe killed. It might have been a bit different than a real fight in that Chath was NOT to try to take out the teacher with his own attack, but the concept was the same. That was how one should be taught to fight.
Not with candy coated, don't worry this will be easy. With the blunt facts that life hurt a little.
After a few more combinations for the boy to dodge and he let his hand drop. For a few reasons. One, he was getting tired. Of using so much magic, and being in the rain. The other being that he did want Chath to be in one piece. Anymore would likely result in a parent yelling at him for an hour.
"Alright, that's enough for today. You should practice watching your opponent and dodging quickly and efficiently. Those might have hurt, but in a real fight people aren't just going to leave a small cut." No sugar coating at all. "Let's go to my office and put some dissinfectant on those. Then you will be excused to leave." That said he started back toward the building. Once he reached the door he paused and wrung the water out of his hair before continuing to head for his office.

Chath paused, he was breathing heavily the numerous cuts on his body only proved to him how much of a novice he was at all of this, but at least he hand endurance.
He tried not to wince as he moved after the teacher, his body was sore from the fall and now that the andrenaline was gone the cuts stung as well.
"I really appreciate you teaching me," Chath started as they entered the building. He tried to hide the pain but his face gave it away all too clearly.
"Tell me, should I practice with Keir? Or other children my age?"

"Both." He stated bluntly, not bothering to comment on the thanks he was given. It was hs job. It wasn't as if he had a choice on who he taught and who he didn't. If the memo came that he needed to cover a class, he'd be there to cover it. End of discussion.
Reaching his office he quickly opened the door and moved to his desk to find the industrial sized dissinfectant that he knew was in the drawer. Right where he'd left it too. Obviously Revon wasn't peeking in the desk anymore. Snagging a few cotton balls that where next to the bottle he quickly twisted off the lid and poured some of the liquid on there. "This will sting a bit." Just because he usually used it on his own charge didn't mean he went easy on that child either. "But even if you can regenerate quickly and infected wound would hurt and fester all the same." At least he assumed that much. Even if the techs knew everything it wasn't as if they'd give him every detail. He'd had to hunt to find as much as he knew.
With warnings out of the way he quickly ran the damp cotton over the cuts quickly as possible so to finish up. He was still wet, he didn't want to be stuck here watching the kid. "Your done. Make sure to practice so when you do need to dodge you don't end up hurt again." Which meant the child was excused to go home. And Haruki could grab that towel he'd brought form his chair to dry off.

Chath winced as the disinfectant stung all the small cuts on his arms and face, but he understood what the teacher meant. He didn't want to get stuck with scars or anything. And he knew just what he would be doign with Keir most of the time from now on.
He stood up as the teacher dimissed him and then turned and gave the teacher a smile. "Thanks you showed me a lot today, perhaps I can get another class from you some time? I promise to work harder at predicting attacks." He said and then turned and moved out of the building. He cuold tell teh teacher wanted to dry off and Keir was waiting outside, can't leave the black dragon alone for too long.
