My reson being is that, I'm pretty sure he was one of the original Titans, but when he became Nightwing I think Tim Drake took over the role of Robin. d**k Greyson is the adopted son of Bruce Wayne, though adopted he's still a son. And I'm pretty sure he's had his own comic series...
I could be wrong but anyway. That's my guess.
