Ankita nodded.

"Well, kind of. We have our own little language that we use to communicate. But it's only so useful." She said, petting Sarava's head. For the cases where their language wasn't that helpful, Sarava was trained enough to recognize certain 'Human' words and correlated them to objects.

"But no, hehe, that's not what we do." She figured everyone would assume she was an animal act. Though that wasn't all too wrong.

"I actually do fortune telling."

“Seriously?!” With this Maxem skipped forward suddenly, prancing backwards and keeping no eyes on the dusty road in front of her. “So! So! That’s pretty neat. Do you like… take drugs to go into a trance, or is it more… sensible than that?” Drugs had always confused the heck out of Maxem in that the altered that ever so curious ‘free-will’ that humans had and machines lacked. Pesky free will and pesky drugs for altering it!

It took stumbling on a pebble for Maxem to finally return herself to her righted walking position of facing the direction she was moving in, and that seemed a smart move, as now she could keep an eye on those pesky pebbles. Pebbles were just under free will and drugs on her list of pesky things, today.

“So wait… If you were to ‘see’ the future…. Would you actually ‘see’ it as if you had vision? I mean… If you were to see yourself in a vision, would you even recognize yourself? Or… Maybe you don’t go into a trance! I’m sorry; I’m getting further and further ahead of myself without even giving you a chance to get a word in! Go on.”

Ankita could sense the fact that Maxem was getting fairly close to her and was taken aback by it.

"Drugs? No. I just use traditional methods so to speak. Palm Reading, Reading tea leaves, reading bones, tarot cards..." She trailed off as she started to realize that listing these things that clearly involved needing the use of vision would probably excite her and cause her to intrude her personal space even further.

"Preminitions... are kind of a different story..." She didn't really want to go into it, but it was part of the reason why she liked to avoid doing palm reading.

“Oh.” Maxem could tell she was treading on ice by this point, and quieted up. Her pace slowly decelerated and once more she was walking behind the girl, keeping her mouth shut and her eyes on the ground slightly in front of Ankita.

The feat of guilt was growing, and growing quickly enough to be a monument to some long gone king. In fact, Maxem might have noticed if she would have thought more about this guilt, it fairly resembled the Column of Trajan; herself taking the role of the Dacians, and Ankita and her aye-aye taking the role of the Romans.

She was curious, she wouldn’t deny that she was, but for the sake of not making any one sick monkeys on her, Maxem was more than willing to hold her tongue. She could still pull out somewhat clean, and still try to find someone else to help her, it certainly wasn’t too late! She also wanted to apologize for going too far and making a tense atmosphere, but didn’t know how. At this point, she felt downtrodden and fairly out of place.

Her mind half raced over ideas of just suddenly bolting away; there was no way that Ankita would follow her, and if the aye-aye really had tried to attack her by this point, a swift boot to the head could knock the litt—‘No. No. You’re going to get to the trailer, sign the papers, and avoid her for the remainder of your working time. You’re going to be mature, and you are not going to attack any furry animals unless you are in danger. Now, stop spazzing and try to get a hold of yourself! This woman is your ticket to the circus, so to speak.’

Ankita continued to walk, wondering if she had completely intimidated the newbie. She didn't mean to, but she really wasn't fond of people entering her personal space without any sort of permission on her part.

Despite her detest for socializing, she wasn't very fond of awkward silence as well.

"What exactly do you do here now? Or... signed up to do at least. Or well, rather, are trying to sign up to do?"

She trailed behind a moment, thinking of what to say in response to that string of what seemed to form a question.

“I’m… a pyrotechnic. I work with fireworks, and I personally happen to think I have a knack for it. But, I’m also good with machines, though not nearly as good as I am with explosives…” She was trying to keep herself modest, honestly she was, but talking about her hobbies tended to draw her out of her meek little shell with tempting treats of ego-stroking and bragging, which was never a bad thing.

Rubbing her eyes and letting out a distrait sigh, Maxem was feeling more and more dejected about the whole thing. It was her over-the-top and obnoxious personality, she reasoned, because this was not the first time she had gotten on someone’s nerves.
“You said… You said that it was supposed to be bigger than everyone else’s… Maybe I should just hunt it down myself. That way seems like it would certainly be.... faster.” ‘And less filled with awkward and unnerving atmosphere.’ She noted quietly in her mind, as if somehow being blind granted Ankita to be able to read her mind in a freak psychic compensation.

Ankita snorted,

"If that's what makes you comfortable, then alright..." She stopped in her steps. "If you need me, I'll be by my trailer. Don't really worry about figuring out which it is, I'll be sitting by it." She gave a reassuring nod. She could sense her discomfort, and she had a feeling that Sarava wasn't helping.

“Well then...Uhhhh… Good day. “

Maxem sighed, continuing on in the direction and passing Ankita with a glance back. Actually, a few glances back. It was fairly nice to know that she could act as nervous as possible from a distance, and the seer would not even know.
‘A bit larger… A bit larger…. A bit larger…' Maxem repeated this as her mantra for a good while, her hands fiddling with each other as a way to try to ease some of the pent up energy. This was not going to be an easy task, but Maxem sure as hell had no intentions of going back and asking Ankita for help.

It was the blind leading the confused, and something about that statement just didn’t make sense at all.
