Mint_Tea_Mint Nice to know what others are wearing and that I am not really alone ! redface heart I found a plus size stall at a market where I lived, some 3 years ago now. When I found that I could actually fit into clothes I nearly openly wept. Strange that as a people we are all getting bigger but clotches are getting smaller.

Kohls is apparently really popular, and I've never even shopped there for myself... crying
Countess Von Helson Wow, I haven't posted here for quite some time. As for me, it's alot of Lane Bryant. I also shop at Avenue, Torrid, Fashion Bug, Catherines and Ashley Stewart. I'm pretty lucky off here in Memphis that there are a lot of large ethnic ladies. So big booty jeans aren't too hard to find XD Ocassionally Walmart has something I like or Target. Goodys would be nice if there were a store here and Sears and Hot Topic are ok. I get alot of t-shirts on sale at Hot Topic. Online I look at Roamans, Ulla Popken, Just My Size, Size Appeal, Silhouettes, and Drac in a Box There are also books if you sew that help to size up patterns which I'm looking into since I'm learning to sew. That post makes me happy because there are so many new stores for me to try now whee

Mint_Tea_Mint I try to find a decent pair of jeans that will fit me good, but no matter where I go...Torried, hottopic, oldnavy, dept. stores...they don't fit my shape good. Always too tight around the waist and too big in the thighs! That's my problem too! My waist is bigger than my legs, but most jean manufacturers use a "straight fit" model for their jeans where everything is proportionate. That may be fine and dandy for some skinny girls, but not so much big women as we have different body parts bigger differing from person to person. GAP has this thing where they actually are making jeans to fit people with bigger waists and smaller legs or vice versa. I get my bras from Lane Bryant because I have big boobies. I get my underwear from WalMart or Victoria's Secret. Alot of my jeans are from Lane Bryant or Walmart. I buy alot of my tops at WalMart or Polo Ralph Lauren.

Being 23 and having to have professional looking clothing for when I do field work... I have the hardest time trying to tie in my own unique look... which is somewhat gothy... without over doing it. I also want clothes that look nice on me and are fashionable for someone my age, not my grandmother's age.

Mmmm for cute shirts and accessories I'd definitely go to Torrid!
[They're a tad pricey for me so .. eh.. I can only have so much ><]
For jeans, I doubt these exist anywhere but right here but I go to ExpoPlus and Miry's. Totally love it. I've never been to a Kohl's or any other stores.
I tend to stick to what I know lol.
But yuppers. I absolutely love Torrid. But, I'm really short so whenever I do buy jeans from there I have to get them tailored. Like.. Seriously you can stick another pair of calves in my pants unless I get them tailored. ><

When I visited before this past semester started, I went school shopping with them and I got to pick out all the clothes for him to try on. I made him try on stuff he never would have thought of, and he was shocked to find he liked it.
His sister was thrilled that he wasn't so embarassing to be related to.
I was thrilled to have a boyfriend who doesn't look like a mix between a geek and an old man.
He was unhappy because he had to try on clothes in stores surprised But I cooed over him, so he dealt.

On the note of me making my boyfriend try on clothes:
I dragged him into express and he was just sooo cute in the outfit I picked out for him.
I almost bought him a button up longsleeve shirt... but even on sale from $50 it was $34.... which I can't afford.

I normally shop at Torrid, Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, or Avenue. I am normally a Torrid of Lane Bryant person. Though the clothes are a lot of money. I have way too many tops. My problem is finding pants.
Since I am short, I can't find pants that fit me nice. Like even a petite size is still too long for me. I asked someone working at a store once and they said, "People that make clothes just think bigger girls are just tall." Well, I'm 5'2". When I put a pair a jeans it looks like I'm playing dress up. Like I could roll the pair of jeans up or get them fixed, but that's even more money. Right now the four pairs of jeans I own are not even jeans. They are jean capris for petite, and they are not even petite on me. They are normal jeans. I love telling people that I'm wearing capris when clearly it is covering my whole leg. I hate being over weight and short. Pants don't fit me..

O_o I wish you luck on finding the perfect jeans. ;_; <3 I just have this butt/thigh thing going on, where the jeans will fit my stomach and my upper butt but around my thigh area its all baggy and its just looks argh. Dx
