K'Anatak shifted himself again, his body was tired from all that he had done. The wings on his forelegs were sore from there use, but they would be fine in time. Everything would be alright in time.
"I hadn't seen him before for I guess the reason being he wanted my mother, brother and I to have a good life away from his domain. He is a god as me, his blood runs through my veins, I am a part of him no amtter how many miles separate Wahabu. I was just glad I finally saw the figure I call father," he said with a nod.
"Our similarities are, interesting, but in my eyes he does seem nice, he just has different duties then I, but that is all fine, would not be well for father and son to conflict over the same domain yes?"

"His domain? What's that?" he asked curiously, wondering why a domain would keep a father from his children. Surely Wahabu wouldn't be so ok with it if his father had left them, even if he thought he had a good reason. Life without Baba.. well, it might not be after him saving Wahabu from Kilango just the day before.
"I guess," Wahabu agreed, though he wasn't sure on the topic of domains. His knowledge of the gods was limited, limited in fact by his experiences with them. Of course, K'Anatak's visits proved to be the most educational.

K'Anatak tried to think of a way to explain his father's domain, he knew he shouldn't go into too much detail. He figured his father wouldn't want mortals knowing too much about them, but Wahabu was K'Anatak's friend, so he had to tell him something.
"The exact details I cannot reveal, an oath of sorta to my father, to be respectable of him, but his domain is not the nicest as mine is, it takes him to different places, has him participate in things most would find scary. He wanted my brother, mother and I to have a good life away from that," he said with a nod, hopefully that helped Wahabu understand a bit better.
"So Wahabu, is it safe now, at your den? Is she there?" he asked curiously, "I can walk with you there, to make sure everything will be alright if you'd like," he stated with a flick of his tail.

Wahabu frowned slightly at K'Anatak's explanation. As vague as it was, it made enough sense that he could understand what his friend was saying, and that they might have been better off not exposed to whatever the scary things were. But he still felt that he'd miss his father if he wasn't around, even if he might not realize it if he'd never met him.
"I don't know," Wahabu shrugged in reply to the next question, "She didn't stay in the den last night.. You can come back with me if you want to." He got to his feet, still holding the feather down with a paw. He'd done what he'd set out to do, found his feather, and now he could go back home if he wanted.

K'Anatak stood and stretched his legs, and his wings, ruffling the feathers then pulled them back upon his back. His black eyes watched Wahabu closely, "Well, it is better to have someone with you just in case is it not?"He placed a paw upon Wahabu's head and ruffled the fur there, "I wouldn't want anything happening to my friend you know," he said warmly.
The white god peered down at the feather, tilted his head, how to help Wahabu keep it with him without having to hold it down all the time? Hmm...perhaps he could... "Here Wahabu, I'll help," he reached for the feather and smiled, "I'll give it back I promise," he picked up up gently, and held it to his wing in the place he had taken it from. A little white light began to appear, trying to thread the feather back onto his wing, but before it could finish, K'Anatak pulled it away. A thin strand of the same type of soft substance feathers were made of. It had a loop, so that it could fit over Wahabu's ear.
K'Anatak put it on his ear and stepped back, and smiled, "There, now it won't be able to get away so easily."

Wahabu nodded, and laughed when K'Anatak ruffled the fur on his head. Of course, the god was right. It was always better to be safe than sorry. He had to wonder how he could so easily cheer up just from having his friend around. The little lion watched K'Anatak think, wearing a small grin, unsure of what he was thinking about.
"Huh?" he murmured in surprise, lifting his paw from the feather when instructed and watching him curiously. Wahabu didn't question whether or not the feather would be returned, trusting that K'Anatak would not reclaim a gift he'd given, and instead watched wide-eyed and curious as he almost returned the feather to it's place in his wing.
"Wow, it's stringy now," Wahabu commented, and kept his head still as K'Anatak looped it over his ear. He grinned and shook his head gently to test how well it would stay this time, as vigorously as he could without feeling it in his neck. "Thank you! I'm sorry I lost it before, but now it won't get lost again."

K'Anatak chuckled at Wahabu, such a loving cub he was. "I'm sure you won't, besides, it'll always find its way back to you somehow," he said with a nod, and walked with Wahabu. Yes, he would walk with his friend, to make sure he would be safe when he arrived, perhaps if his sister was there, K'Anatak could try to persuade her to not harm Wahabu again. He would have an advantage with intimidation wouldn't he?
Regardless he walked with his younger mortal friend, being with Wahabu let K'Anatak let loose, feel like a cub again. But it always made him long for a family of his own, perhaps he was doing something wrong in trying to achieve a family...he hoped to fix that soon.
"You've grown a bit since I last saw you Wahabu, who knows, perhaps the next time I come back, you will be almost as large as I am.."

"Just like today," Wahabu added optimistically, confident that if K'Anatak could find it once he'd find it again. Maybe not just by chance again, but you never know! He was torn between hoping Kilango was and was not at home, he'd get a chance to show off his friend if she was there but he might be happier in the long run if she was not there.
Ready to head back home, Wahabu carefully made his way down from the rock. They would go to the den, and whether or not Kilango was there it would all be good! Once on the grass again, he fell into step beside K'Anatak. They both knew the way to the den, he assumed, so he need not lead the way.
"I have?" he asked, sounding surprised, "I didn't realize I got bigger. Can I really be as big as you?" Wahabu looked up at the god, trying to imagine what it'd be like to be that big and failing. How strange it must be!

K'Anatak smiled and peered down at Wahabu as they walked in step with one another, "You could get this big Wahabu, though I look bigger then I actually am, my fur, its well...fluffier then it should be. Something I inherited from my mother. You could get really big, just takes time to see if it will happen yes?" he spoke calmly, soothingly, he did believe Wahabu could do anything he wished to do if the cub put his mind to it.
Soon he knew Wahabu would get to that stage of life when he would be seeking out females, ah yes how nice it would be to visit Wahabu someday, see a family, something he himself longed for. Ah well, if he saw it in his friends, he would be happy.
"Perhaps I can come visit you more frequently Wahabu sometimes, on certain days and such. I do have to go to places to do my duty according to my realm, but I can make some time to see you, if you'd like that is..." he wanted their friendship to remain strong, even if they would be far apart form each other a lot of the time. But K'Anatak could get back here with ease an visit the yellow pelted cub.
K'Anatak grumbled in his mind, they would be near to Wahabu's den site in only a few short minutes, he truly didn't want to leave these wonderful lands, but K'Anatak knew that he would be needed elsewhere.

"Wow!" he exclaimed, trying once more to imagine being as big as K'Anatak, though not as fluffy. It was still hard to imagine, everything around him was still quite big to him- what would it be like being bigger than, say, the rock he'd been resting on when his friend found him? Well, it could happen..
"I'd like if you came to visit a lot," Wahabu grinned over the suggestion, he'd be more than happen to see his friend as often as he could. Friends were a great thing to have, and he knew it! He skipped along happily as best he could as they neared the den. At a distance, it looked like no one was home.

K'Anatak looked forward to where Wahabu's den was, no one seemed to be there. What to do now? He chucked at Wahabu's excitement, indeed Wahabu could get as big as he desired, who knew, perhaps he might be large then some of the gods he had met and heard stories of.
"Then I'll come visit you whenever I ca how about that hmm?" he asked calmly, ruffling his feathers as they got closer. He would have to fly to the south of here for a bit, warmer there, he liked being warm. He would have to take his leave before the sun set too much.
"Wahabu, is there anything else you'd like to do before I must leave? My wings, aren't that good for flying in the night, so I will have to go soon, do you think you'll be alright on your own?"

"Ok! You'll always be able to find me easy," Wahabu grinned proudly, "I'm not real hard to spot, and I have your feather. So it'll be easy for you." He picked up the pace a bit as they neared the den, looking around curiously. No one was arond, he realized, and shrugged inwardly.
"Well," he considered K'Anatak's question, stopping their little walk once they reached the den, "I'll be ok by myself, I think. Mama and Baba can't be far away, even if Kilango shows up first.." He trailed off, almost sounding doubtful, but he shook his head. He'd be ok.

K'Anatak smiled at Wahabu, rubbed the fur atop his head again. He thought for a moment, then smiled, and crouched down so he could speak into Wahabu's ear, "If she tries to hurt you again, push on the back of her legs where it bends," he raised his head and made a motion to where on his leg. Sort of like the back of a knee.
"If you do that, the leg will automatically bend, and you can then seek another alright? That is one thing my brother told me once, used it against me many a time as well." K'Anatak nuzzled Wahabu and took a few steps back, extending his wings out a bit. The sun was getting ready to set. "I have to go now Wahabu, but I'll be back soon. Be careful, call me if you need me my friend." K'Anatak flapped his wings, smiling at Wahabu, then extended the wings on his forelegs, and tore up into the sky. He peered down at Wahabu and waved. Then he was out into thesky.
"He will be fine..." he assured himself, as he then blended in with the clouds white coats as he flew on.

Wahabu listened intently as K'Anatak gave him some advice for what to do it Kilango tried anything again, blinking and watching his gesture to the specific part of the leg he meant. He grinned as his friend explained what would happen and how he knew.
"Ok! I'll remember that, thanks," he grinned after his friend, nodding when he announced that it was his time to leave. He might have been sad to see him go, but he knew the god was needed elsewhere and that he would be back. Just like he said, "Ok! I'll see you soon, then!"
He sat out in the sun quietly, watching the sky where the god flew off.
