"maybe you should let her interact with other Undera, and see how they react. Much like when a puppy is still young you take it to classes and playdates with other puppies, so it knows how to handle itself around strangers and family" Jay suggested, looking at the woman curiously, he chuckled softly when Merethist nuzzled into his neck.
Jay was used to dealing with children and other humans through his upbringing and school time. He lived with Aiden until he was 16, so he was used to dealing with blatant arrogance and rudeness. He frequently saw Alexi and Nishi, so he was used to dealing with mood swings, hyper activity and parental figures. And he practically lived with Asher, so he was used to love, protectivity and mysterious people. He could easily dodge painful subjects too. Jay wasn't comfortable in his skin, he still felt he was a tad too girly, but couldn't bring himself to cut his hair. He was confident in nature, not too much to notice but not too little to be put down. He was still too innocent for his age, but he acted indifferent to it. Habits.
He was about to put his head to the side, so the orb was nestled comfortably when Dragul grabbed it. He blinked as Merethist let out a sharp hissing sound when it was violently shook like a piggy bank that wouldn't cough up the coins, the orb grew hot to the touch and vibrated angrily. Jay sensing trouble gently but firmly grabbed Draguls fists and stopped the shaking, which caused Merethist to go back to normal. Letting an occasional hiss out at the Undera.
"be nice you two, you should be friends. Mere try to be a bit more sociable and Dragul, try to show a little more restraint. No rough treatment okay?" Jay asked in a soft, mother type voice. Not demanding but not asking. The way he always dealt with naughty children.

Dragul glowered at Jay and licked Merethist's smooth surface quickly before darting back to Genevieve, displaying her palms, which seemed a bit greenish. Perhaps that was the equivilant of fair skin turning pink?
"It's a sound idea, but there aren't that many other people who own these things, as far as I know. I can't exactly...well, maybe I could." She trailed off, thoughtful.
She could actually place an ad online or in a newspaper or something. It wasn't as though anyone else would have the faintest idea what she was talking about. It could be some sort of toy, for all they knew, or a video game.
"I see," she said in an undertone to Dragul. "That does look painful. You deserved it, though. Merethist clearly doesn't want to play."
Dragul pouted, frowning so deeply lines actually formed on her forehead.
"Won' tokkamee," she pronounced.
Genevieve looked over Dragul's head at Jay and shrugged a little. "Beg pardon?"

Jay chuckled.
"if you like I can see if Raven and Asher will meet you, they both have Undera's" jay answered, and Merethist murred at Jay as the blonde petted the orb. It went dull as if sleeping. It loved Sleep. Orbs love sleep? weird.
"i'm sure she didn't mean to hurt you Dragul, Merethist isn't used to be treating like a piggybank. At home it's doted on by two Undera's and their owners" Jay couldn't put his finger on it, but everyone loved Merethist. It was weird. Merethist awoke and rolled onto Genevieve's lap. Purrign for attention.

"I would appreciate that, if it wouldn't be an inconvenience," Genevieve replied as she ran tentative fingers over Merethist's surface. "I'm curious about the things. It seems so odd that some magical entity would give us orbs to grant our wishes."
Dragul glared enviously at the orb, clearly considering making mischief, but she ceased mysteriously and looked at the orb suspiciously instead.
"Tok?" she uttered in Merethist's direction. "O-tok!"
She held still, her head cocked, and her ears swiveling slightly, as if to pick up a radio signal. Occasionally she would mutter something unintelligible.
