I really like how Tamora Perice introduces sex into her female books series. I love how she puts it so blatantly "What I do with my body is between me and the Goddess" which I personally feel is a strong message to girls everywhere that your body is your own and you need to think about what you are doing with it because there is noone to blame but yourself

I read Trickster's Choice (a sequel series?) but the main character started out with so many crazy special abilities that she wasn't easy to feel sorry for. It felt like a character someone would create in Dungeons and Dragons if they cheated on every roll of the dice. She was never really challenged in the whole book. the plot was interesting, though.

Tammy's writing is just so awesome. I've come back to her books time and time again, even though the books are way below my reading level and that I can get away with reading much "older" books.

I loved the books, but I like the later Tortall seiries better. Expecially Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen.
