Gabriel was still rolling with giggles by the time Larkin had done his third try.
Pulling himself up trying to stop his giggling he grinned
“needs work” he squeaked giggling again “keep twying, and maybe you be as good am me ok”
He pushed himself back up smiling innocently.
“What was you do?” he asked,
wondering why the Malu liked being sweaty and hot. He wrinkled his nose a little
“you need bath”

Larkin grinned back at Gabriel. "I'll be sure to practice."

A bath. He didn't like baths. But the kid had a point. He probably didn't smell that great after lying on the roof under the sun. And if he was going to take a bath, he should do it while the sun was still out so that the water wasn't too cold.

"Okay, maybe I'll take one." He glanced around to get his bearings. "What about you? Running around outside all day, I'll bet you're not very clean yourself."

Gabe raised a brow, pouting slightly at the thought have having to take a bath… he didn’t think he needed it. But then again he had not been thinking about how smelly me might be.
“… A bath? Do I need one?’
he tilted his head to the side “I go with you? der is a fountain down dare!” he nodded towards the courtyard

He smiled wearily, heading toward the courtyard. After this, he promised silently to his god, I'll go to the shrine and get a fire going. As he started walking, poking Gabriel playfully with the tip of one wing without looking down at him, he felt a slight shadow shift as a cloud moved away from the sun. The heat against his back intensified a tiny bit. His eyes and his smile brightened.

Gabriel walked a lot with the adult, doing little dance steps as he went. Shooting up glances each time he was poked with a little “hey!” with each glance.
Scooting a bit forward, Gabriel turned around and started walking backwards, gaping up at the tall Malu
“so who are you?” he asked mouth open slightly, looking just like an amazed little boy "and why you like the sun to much?"

Kamin, who had wandered off for a while, suddenly distracted by the sound of trickling water, had come back to the pair, who were seemingly becoming fast friends. The male smiled to himself, watching them from afar for a few moments, enjoying the dynamics between the two. He slowly padded over to them after a time, his smile still quite apparent. "Hello, again. Sorry for my rude departure; I heard water running. On a day like this, I couldn't give it up." He was now happily filled with the cool liquid, having been lead to a small spring. He was sure it was by the will of his god he had heard the tiny sound, for he was ready to pass out form the heat before. He was used to heat, oh yes, but dry heat is entirely different from humid heat.

ooc :: Okaaay. x) Since I kind of got lost in this RP, let's just say he ran away to get water and poof he's back?

He slowed his pace so that he wouldn't accidentally step on Gabriel. "Larkin," he said simply. His answer to the second question required a few more moments' thought. "And I guess I like the sun because I was born near here, in the desert, and it's always been around. I follow the god of heat. I think he's the most powerful god. Without heat, there can't be any life."

Hoping this wasn't getting too deep, he stopped talking and gave the sky a vague half-smile.

At the sound of the gray Malu's return, Larkin turned and slowed even more. He saw before that these two seemed to know each other, so he merely nodded a greeting at Kamin and watched.

Gabriel smiled hearing the Malu’s name. Larkin, though the explanation about heat seemed to flow into one ear, and out the other. Giving him a rather blank look, he didn’t say anything until another voice startled him. Squeaking he tripped falling backwards and landing on his back, he tilted his face back to see a Kamin standing upside down in the sand.
“BALDIE!” he yelled in glee

Kamin gave a polite nod to Larkin as he came in front of the pair, smiling widely. He looked down at the little pipsqueek at his feet, rolling his eyes and chuckling. Even though he was rather annoying, Gabriel was starting to grow on the grey Malu. There was something about his childly 'innocense', if you could say he had any, that just pulled at the male. He skipped over the idea of reminding the youngster that he did indeed have hair and was there for not bald, and went on to a greeting. "Pipsqueek!" He very much enjoyed the new pet name he'd given the other, even though it wasn't original. Tilting his head up to Larkin, he nodded again. "Hello, stranger. I'm Kamin. May I ask who you are?"

"Larkin," he said again, looking amused. Pipsqueek seemed to fit the kid pretty well. "We're on our way to a fountain, if you'd like to come. Apparently Pipsqueek here thinks I need a bath." He grinned and nudged Gabriel with his paw.

“noooo!!” Gabriel cooed to Larkin, pouting and kicking the adult in the leg with his small hoof “I waned to say warkin name!”
he giggled at the poke and rolled over into his belly pouting again pipsqueak? They must be confused, that’s not his name
“no, Is Gabriel… dats me, Gabriel”
he sat up and pounced on the Paw the Larkin had poked him with. batting at it playfully then looked at Kemin
“dis Warkin!”
Then looked up at Larkin and pointed to Kamin with a paw “Dat Kamin” lowering his voice and placing a paw by his mouth he said quietly to Larkin “he iz bald”

"I am /NOT/ bald." He put extra emphasis on the word not that time, hoping to convey the message to the younger mind. He shook his head, laughing slightly on the inside. "I'd love to go to the fountains, actually. More water can never hurt." He had picked up on Larkin's lack of annoyance to the heat, and truely admired the Malu for it. Though Kamin could tolerate heat, desert heat was far more intense than beach heat.

Larkin flinched away, more suprised than hurt by the kick, then just grinned and shook his head. "Bald, is he? Well at least he doesn't have to worry about all this." He shook the mane of fiery hair on his head, which was a mess from the perspiration dried in it. Lightly he smiled at Kamin to show that he was only kidding about the bald thing. He sauntered along toward the fountain. The more time he spent before he got into the water, the less time he had afterward to get warmed up again before the sun set. Larkin was glad Kamin was coming along. Gabriel seemed a playful sort and he wasn't fond of getting splashed, so maybe Kamin could be an alternate target since he liked water.

As the small group headed towards the fountain, Gabriel had to take the pride of leading them. Bounding forward, getting to the fountain first. Using his wings for an extra boost he leaped up splashing loudly into the fountain and rolled around in the water, laughing.
Sitting up and grinning at the two adults still making there way over, his innocent look shifted away to a more mischievous grin, little glints in his eyes. His fur soggy and dripping. He pranced around and around the fountain.

Kamin shook his head and rolled his eyes, following the bouncing pipsqueek to their new location. He took the time to talk to Larkin, finding the male a greatly appreciated calming contrast to Gabriel. "So, Larkin. Are you from the Temple?" It was a pretty standard question, as in his meetings he had met many Malu who weren't originally from the oasis and had moved here, like him, at different points in their lives. As the pipsqueek jumped around in his form of a victory dance, Kamin shot a glance in his direction and smirked. "Dang, I wanted to win."
