"Got this sor' o' project in mind... gotta' keep meself out of trouble, keep meself occupied, decided t'be usefull, y'know wha' I mean?" He gave him a grin and a nod once he got close enough to drop his voice down in case of any cameras nearby.

"A... project?" Gaius' voice likewise dropped, wondering what Billy had in mind that needed secrecy. "And... you need an architect for it?"

"Theaters?" Gaius frowned, rubbing at the tip of his flattened nose as he mulled it over. "Not especially... I don't think it'd be too hard to figure out one, though... but..." he looked up at Billy with raised eyebrows, "You're not planning one here, are you?"

Gaius listened intently, doing his best to keep up and translate the man's thick accent as he spoke. The guy was enthusiastic, certainly. "Well, I am kinda bored I guess... So you're saying a theater for the islanders, made and run by them?" His expression picked up a bit. Yeah, he liked what he was hearing. "Maybe... it's a pretty big job, but maybe if I got some help..."

"I leave it up t'you, lad!" Billy beamed at Gaius's returned interest, but his expression hardened into a more serious one as his tone dropped once more, "Bu' it's gotta' ha' a wee room beneith th'trap door in th'stage, alrigh'? So's there's gotta be a stage, an' an area underneith- y'understan'?" He gesticulated with a pair of tentacles to emphasize his point.

Gaius blinked, then broke into a broad grin. "Of course! Gotta have room for the trap door and stuff, otherwise how would we pull off the 'stage magic'? Right?" He winked broadly, assuming he'd gotten what Billy meant. "You can trust me, I'll make sure everything's as perfect as we can manage! Though I'll definitely be needing some help for the bigger building stuff..."
Already plans were running through his head. He'd need lumber, lots of it, and hammers and nails and saws... "You have any idea some of the other stuff we'll need for it? A stage... some kind of seating?"

"Aye, aye th'works! Do wha' y'like, so long's it's got a good, decent sized room underneith- li'... dig a hole an' put sticks over it on top o' whate'er it is ye'll do- a dirt cellar li' place. So we can store props an' th'like!" he reasoned.

"Right, right," he nodded, "don't worry, I've got it. I'll make sure there's plenty of room. And we can always expand later if all goes well. Though... hmm, is this going to be an out-door kinda theater? It'd be tricky building an actual building, unless we used some empty duplexes, but that still wouldn't fit everyone..."

"Outdoor works, so long's it's go' tha' room under th'stage o' somethin', Li' din' th'greeks had them... colleseums where they fought t'death? Only no' so big. Whate'er y'can manage, I aint picky. Knock yerself out." Billy grinned, offering him a tentacle to shake. "Ye'll build it fer me, then? We go' a deal?"

Gaius wasn't exactly thinking colloseum, but an ampitheatre could definitely work, if he could build the frame above and behind the stage! maybe if there was some depression they could use as a wall for the seating... He'd have to find someone to scout out the island while he got help.
The tentacle was given a warry look before being gripped by his own strong hands and shook. "As long as you promise it won't end up with you in trouble again, sure, it's a deal!"

"Nah, M'done bein' troublesome. M'jes' tryin' t'be productive." Right. It was taking everything in him to not laugh. To not outright cackle. This boy was just so wonderfully gullable! He'd stay out of trouble, alright. No worries, there! He gave a good shake, winking back, "An' don' ferget aboo' th'wee room. Don' know who ye'd get t'help, sorry lad, bu' I'm sure ye'll find someone!"

"Ah, don't worry, I have some ideas..." Gaius grinned, letting Billy's tentacle go and whiping his hand on the side of his pants. "I'll see what I can find in the next couple days and get some plans made up. Find anything else you need built, just drop me a note at my duplex. Sixty-two!"
Gaius slid his feet off the rock, back onto the ground, and picked up his stick. Time to get going. For the first time in months, Gaius heard the blueprints and sketches calling!
"I'll be seeing you around, pal!"

"Hoy- wait a minute! One more t'ing! See if y'can find me a can o' oil! M'damn chair squeeks!" The octopus called from where he remained stranded in his puddle.
