Ger got to his feet and shook out his mane which fell over his eyes. His teal eyes gazed back to her through the strands of his mane. She was truly an adult of a great deal of wisdom. It must be true what they say, "the Older the Wiser."
"Well...what do you want to do, follow your father's path or do you wish to traverse your own? The way I see it, Tiah. Follow the path that has set itself before you, follow it all the way through and discover where it leads you. May it be far from your destinateion, may it arrive where you wanted, all you know is that you followed it all the way. If you return home, then you return home. If you say here, then you stay here."
Ger sighed and hung his head. Looking down at his shadow he saw nothing but a false reflection. In his shadow he noticed a long thin shadow on him. A simple smirk and an inward chuckle. It had been a while, he had almost forgotten about that stupid thing. Dad always kept trying to put it down but it always came back and eventually it was given up on.
"I should go...my family is probably wondering where I am."

Tiah smiled the best she could, though she felt her words gave him little hope, she did what she could. She was no hero.
“Maybe I will see you again someday? Good luck with your family.”
With that the green eyed lioness slowly started off, leaving the young male behind.
