Aye, I do so love that "debate". Though what's even more amusing is intelligent design versus Big Bang. So many people say the Big Bang is logical and scientifically sound, but come on, look at the theory for a second - first there was nothing. Which exploded. That's right, nothing spontaneously combusted.

Which is why the Big Bang theory is every bit as mindless and poorly-concieved as intelligent design. Neither has any proof nor any degree of logic, and the only reason people favour the Big Bang as the more logical is because it happened in space. Goota be logical if it's set in space.

Anyway, yeah, the ED's been a**-raped with a spiky, heated rod composed of pure dumb. Bah, at least we can regroup here, no? I'm off to find out who's in and who isn't and return to the regrouping process.

That isn't ... really ... the big bang theory. The big bang theory centers around the idea that there was once a profusely hot and dense area. The matter within this dense area got to such a degree of instability that it exploded. The whole concept of nothing being within nothing is a REALLY difficult concept to grasp. How does the universe exist within... nothing?
Well, there is the theory of the universe expanding.

And from what I understand the Big Bang also includes something about emergy converting to matter and vice versa. And there's a different theory stating that the components of a proton have no mass at all, but are pure energy. How they can support this when they're not even 100% sure of atomic structure is beyond me, but hey. This is why I don't like physics sweatdrop
