Destination: Iowa
Driver: Moofuls
Navigator: Isto
Notes: Alaori

Briefing: The following is a rather simplified account of what happened on our trip to Iowa. For those who don’t know, Iowa is a big, flat, empty space where cell phones have decided not to work. Despite this, we had a lot of fun. More than I expected, anyway. A word of warning to readers: Some parts of this may be dull and redundant. We did a lot of the same things over and over again ^_^;; With that said, here you are. Welcome to my life.
Note: Times are very specific. Blame Alao o.<

Day 1, Thursday, July 1st

7:00 AM - Woke up. Or at least, I did. It was another hour and a half before the entire family was up. The house was a mess. Not because it was dirty; oh no, we'd cleaned the place until it glowed the day before. Last minute preparations assaulted our poor house until the whole place shook. I'm sure a war would have been more peaceful. Eventually we managed to get everything under control, and everyone and everything into the van. We were still, miraculously, on schedule.

10:48 AM – We were off! The drive was rather uneventful… Actually, aside from the war that raged that morning, the day was rather dull. E drove…and drove…and stopped for lunch… and drove… and drove… There was some excitement to our drive, however. For example, we were nearly run over by a big rig when we left the Tennessee welcome station.

8:05 PM – Over nine hours after we left home, we reached our first hotel—the Drury Inn. What’s so special about this place? The Drury Inn was on Drury Lane. THE Drury Lane. You know, the one with the Muffin Man? Acia and Corr spent most of the first evening plotting how to kidnap this so called ‘Muffin Man’ the next morning at breakfast. And they continued all the dinner…

8:45 PM – Which was at Pizza Inn. There were about twelve different restaurants near our hotel, and each was ‘Something Inn’. Always with the ‘Inn’. It was rather confusing… The pizza was good, though. After eating, we returned to our hotel and…

11:31 PM – Bed time.

Day 2, Friday, July 2nd

10:00 AM - Woke up. A bit late, but we weren't in a hurry. The only problem with our late awakening was that we missed breakfast... Acia and Corr sulked most of the morning. Breakfast was muffins, and where there were muffins...there were Muffin Men.

10: 44 AM - On the road again... *Hums* And we drove...and drove...and drove... Isto was attack by a wasp that had somehow gotten into our van, but other than that nothing of any importance happened. Another dull day.

8:01 PM - We arrived at our destination! Charles City, Iowa. Little bitty place that even most Iowans have never heard of... I knew my way around the town by the second day. We went and ate dinner (I forget where...), then returned to he hotel.

10:40 PM - Bed time.

Day 3, Saturday, July 3rd

8:30 AM - Woke up. Wow, I'm already getting tired of writing that....

9:32 AM - Charles City is a very patriotic area. On Fourth of July weekend, they always hold a big celebration with games and BBQs, and a parade...which we went to today! At this time! The parade didn't actually start for another hour, but we met up with some of my family and just...caught up for a while. It ended up raining right in the middle of the parade, but they didn't cancel it. We just all got soaking wet ^_^ 'Twas fun, though. After the parade we went and had lunch (with the whole family and relative, so it took forever) then headed back to the hotel.

5:03 AM - I have some...second cousins(?) who live in Iowa on a great big farm! And that's where we went this evening. The drive is normally about twenty minutes. We got horribly lost and too over an hour to get there. But it was worth it ^_^ The farm was nice. Big and open... chickens, cats, goats... Yeah, your typical Iowan farm ^_~. We stayed a few hours, then returned to the hotel (without getting lost again).

9:30 PM - Everyone was preparing for bed, when Jack decided to flip through the TV channels to find something to watch. He found War of the Worlds. That is a FUNNY movie! The whole family stayed up to watch it and laugh as the bad effects. Alao and Isto kept complaining that it didn't follow the book, but no one really listened to them. Who cares about the book?

12:34 AM - Bed time n.n

Day 5, Monday, July 5th

Day 6, Tuesday, July 6th

Day 7, Wednesday, July 7th

Well, we're back! We actually arrived...a few days ago, but I haven't been able to find time to write... Things have been crazy around here, what with one thing or another. Let's see, where to begin..

We arrived home to find that a package had been left for Acia from Iris, one of the shop owners. Inside was a beginner science kit. Since then I have feared for my life. Though...it can't be that bad, right? Iris wouldn't give Acia anything dangerous...I think. Well, the glider seems to enjoy it at least. I've no idea what she has been making, or if she's even been making anything that's technically something (did that make sense? o.O), but she has spent most of her free time up in her room shaking up vials.

During our trip, I decided that Acia was far to bright to focus purely on mechanics. I mean, sure, mechanics are GREAT! And I'm glad she's interested in them, because it makes my job a lot less boring. But Acia need a well RoUnDeD education, methinks. Science was one of the things I wanted her to learn. It looks like that won't be a problem... I doubt math'll bring much trouble either.

The only thing I'm worried about is....reading. I'm not sure Acia can sit still long enough to learn to spell her name, let alone anything else. Maybe I can trick her into it... Hmmm.... This calls for plotting! But later..

Lesse, what else... Well, I did find time to take Acia to the Toychest (ever if I did sleep the whole time we were there o.<). Apparently she got to meet the carpet python, Sidney. At least I think that was his name.. She didn't know, and I only talked to his caretaker a few minutes after I woke up. DDB and Sidney... Acia seems to like them well enough. It's funny, you wouldn't exactly picture a little rodent and a reptile being friends... Oh well n.n

And in other news, when I arrived back at the Toychest last night, Nayati had grown! Yes, grown. He's now some sort of unicon-human hybrid, more on the unicorn side. I think it took us all by surprise..Iris most of all. But can you blame her? That's the problem with these sort of things. You never know what to expect...

Naturally, my thoughts jumped to Acia. I asked Iris, and she said they're all probably going to change sooner or later. I'm not sure if I'm extremely excited or terribly scared. Acia's a sweetheart, but she very...active. And accident prone. And once she grows, she'll be even more so is my guess. Unless I can get her calm and educated before then!

There's work to be done! Until next time...

No going back now.

I took Acia to the Shop again, and once again we met up with D and Sidney. 'Twas fun... D and I spent most of the time discussing my glider's experiments, while Acia and Sidney talked a bit, if you could call it that. I'm really not sure how they communicate. Half the time I can't even understand what Acia's saying.

(*Note* This RP was actually done in the shop, and Gaia was being a butt the entire time, so it may look a bit funny o.<)

Quote:
Moofuls

There was one thing to be said for this shop, and that was that it was usually quiet. (XD) Moo enjoyed quiet. But today, Moo was actually not asleep! No, the strange mechanic was hovering near the counter, watching excitedly as Acia poured a bit of one liquid into another. The whole scene was made even more amusing by Moo's outfit-of-choice for the day...which appeared to have been completely random in the making. Lovely.

DDB
D opened the shop door and walked inside, quickly spotting the two figures by the counter.

"Oh hi ya! Moo and Acia isn't it?" She called as she wandered over to see what was going on.

Sidney wasted no time in spotting the little furry animal with the vial. Sliding down from D's neck, he coiled around her wrist and leaned down so he could get a better look.

Moofuls

Moo calmly returns the nod, not really paying any attention at all, for the vial Acia was holding had just started frothing and overflowing. Fun times. But when she heard her name, she actually looked up, grinning and waving happily to D. "Hallo! D and Sidney, right? I'm terrible with names..."

Acia's paws were covered in an odd greenish froth by the time she noticed Sidney. once she did, she abruptly dropped the vial (the contents of which spilled all over the counter) and scrambled over to chitter a greeting to the reptile, paws shedding bubbles as she moved.

DDB
"Yep, that's right. Don't worry, I have the same problem" She grinned.
"Err... what are you guys up to?" She indicated the vial that was bubbling over.

Sidney nodded a greeting back but recoiled slightly at her paws, they were covered in some green froth. Remembering the last experiment her saw Acia do, he was a little concerned about this stuff... but she didn't seem too worried about it.

Moofuls

After waving to LP, Moo returned her attention to the haphazard experiment being done on the shop counter, grimacing slightly when she realized Acia had dropped the vial. "It's nothing dangerous. Some kind of fizzy candy thing, I believe. Acia wanted to figure out if she could duplicate the fizz."

Acia cocked her head curiously when the python recoiled, then glances around for the source, gaze finally settling on her own paw. She chitters happily, something that could easily be called a laugh, and bounds back to the science kit, dragging out a small rag and wiping her paws clean. On her way back to Sid, she draped the rag over the green liquid pooling on the counter top. Moo could clean it up.

DDB
"Fizzy Candy? That's pretty cool. Can you eat it?" She picks up the vial and holds it up, examining the contents.

"Sidney sliped off D's wrist and onto the counter, carefully avoiding the mess. He nudged Acia's now clean paws, tickling them slightly with his tongue.

Moofuls
"You should be able to," Moo replies, peering curiously at the vial. "Assuming Acia didn't mix up the chemicals. Care to risk it?"

Another chitter (Another laugh), and Acia lightly patted the python's nose with a now-clean paw, rambling off on a drawn out explanation of what she had been doing, which Sid probably couldn't understand anyway. She didn't seem to care, though.

DDB
D raises an eyebrow at Moo. "Sure.... if you do first." She smirked.

The sugar glider was obviously trying to tell him something, very quickly too. He tilted his head at her, not understanding any of the noises coming out of her mouth.

Moofuls
For a moment, she stared suspiciously at the foaming green goop covering the counter, then shrugged and took the vial from D, dipping a finger in. The goop seemed to foam further on contact with skin, but Moo took no notice, licking her finger clean. "Hmm.....very...sour. But good."

Acia choked and fell silent when she realized her words were having no impact on the python. She seemed deeply offended, shoulders slumping in defeat. But almost immediately she was back to normal, shrugging it away and cocking her head at the reptile, chittering a queary that was all too obviously 'So, how've you been?'.

DDB
D pulled a face as Moo licked the foam. "Sour huh?" She dipped a finger in the vial while Moo still held it. "Well at least you're still standing." She sniffed the gloop on her finger before tentively dabbing a bit on her tongue. "Blurh.... very sour!"

(( Yes, We're dosing up on Acia's concoctions! ))

It was obvious the furry little animal was upset when she realised her chittering wasn't getting through to him. He nudged he again in a way that suggested that 'don't worry, it's no big deal.' (( not entirely sure how that would look but you'll just have to use your imagination sweatdrop )) The tone of the next bit of Acia's chittering did sound familiar. He tilted his head this way and that in a snake version of a shrug then nodded happily.

Moofuls
Snickering, Moo helped herself to a bit more of the goop, staring thoughtfully past D at the wall. "It's not -bad-...just terribly, terribly sour. Mebbe if we added some more sugar or summat..."

(( whee And they bees yummeh XD))

Acia swayed slightly with the nudge, but seemed cheered by it nonetheless, positively beaming at the snake at her side. (Which was altogether an odd sight; a giant glider and a mini python. Go figure.) She also seemed pleased that he had understood her question. Her answer was about the same, for she squeaked and nodded happily. And suddenly she was off again, scrambling to the edge of the counter where she paused, gesturing for Sid to follow.

DDB
"Hmmm... maybe." She gave Moo a half-smile. "But you'd need quite a bit."

He understood she wanted him to follow, (I mean even Lassie can managed that) and slithered quickly over to her. Glancing down at the floor below them he wondered if she was going to do that thing again, that's right, 'flying' it was called.

Moofuls

"Well, whatever works," Moo shrugs, setting down the vial with a wink. "It's better than the last thing she came up with, so we're making progress! S'pretty good for a little squirrel thingy, aye?"

Well, that was the original plan. But then she realized Sidney couldn't glide like she could... Which really shouldn't have taken her by surprise, as she'd never met anyone who could glide besides herself. But while she'd originally planned to glide to the nearest shelf, now she was reconsidering. Hmm...What could they do where they could both participate?

DDB

"It's very good." D nods enthusiastically, "So what was the last thing she made?"

The glider seemed to hesitate now they were at the edge. Was it too high for her? But she flew from it before? Probably needed some encouragement. He moved over and nudged her slightly, nodding and looking out across the room.

Moofuls

"Some kinda overly salty stuff....." Moo trails off, grimacing at the memory and shrugging. "I think she was trying for toothpaste."

Acia glanced up with the nudge, peering around to the snake and cocking her head sideways. But he'd nodded out across the room... Which meant she could glide! And he'd find another way! Squeaking happily, the glider crouched and kicked off, soaring effortlessly to the nearest shelf and curling up atop a plushie of a rhino, gaze turned back to the counter and Sid.

DDB

"That's so cool!" D was really impressed. "She's turning out a real scientist. Are you teaching her chemistry?"

Sidney watched as she soared. He was sure that no matter how many times he saw her do that he'd be amazed. Now she was looking back at him. Right, now he had to get over there too. Well, there was always a way, you just had to find it.

He moved about the edge of the desk, looking down all the sides. Spotting the draw handles sticking out he wasted no time in lowering himself down to the first one. Using his tail to hold on to that one, he lowered himself to the next, and so on until he reached the floor.

Sliding over to where Acia was perched on a plush, he looked up at her and flicked his tongue.

Moofuls

"Aye, she's very talented," Moo stated proudly, positively beaming at the good coating the counter. "I help her handle the chemicals sometimes, but I'm not teachign her. I'm not a very good chemist myself. I'm planning on teaching her to read, though, if I can get her to sit still long enough. Math as well, probably."

The glider watched curiously as Sidney made his way over, silently tsking softly to herself. Sure, he'd made it, but it had taken a while. Grinning down at the snake, Acia promised herself that she would find a way to let him fly. Once she grew like Nayati had, she'd be able to manage tools a bit better, so she was sure she could make something for him!

When she realized he couldn't get up on the shelf, she immediately glided to the ground, landing lightly on all fours beside him. She sits up, cocking her head and glancing around the room. Everything looked so much bigger from the floor.... Acia much preferred the counter.

((And..then Gaia died and we got no further n.n))

So, that was fun. Once we got home, I locked Acia's science kit in the fridge (The door's too big for her to open even if she managed to unlock the padlock.) and threatened to burn it if she didn't sit still. So she did. Actually, she sort of froze in place and refused to move for ten minutes. But that served my purpose perfectly.

Once I was able to get Acia to at least relax, I pulled out a notebook and began attempting to teach her math. Just simple addition, numbers one through ten and such. She could already count, (Not that she could pronounce the numbers, but she knew what they meant) so adding wasn't too much trouble.... I think all the chemistry and mechanics helped a bit as well. Fitting things together and whatnot... Dunno, we didn't work long, as she got bored with it pretty quickly, but we did get some things done. I think we'll tackle the alphabet tomorrow....

Vacation's over, and now's it's back to work!! The weekend was fun-- we went to the beach n.n Acia didn't like the sand too much....or the waves..... but she did like the wind, so it wasn't a total let down. Actually... Now, this might sound a bit..strange, but I swear it's true. I'm not really sure how to explain it...

Acia seemed to be, well...controlling the wind. Not the entire time, but occasionally it would be perfectly still, and she'd just sit up on her hind legs and perk her ears as if listening to something..and then there would be a breeze. And it wasn't a normal breeze, because it was only where we were. And then, there was another time where the wind was blowing extremely hard...and she lightened it up where we were so it wouldn't blow sand all over us. No lie.

But, if she even has this talent, she's not very good with it just yet. She got a bit carried away and summoned this huge gust that carried her half a mile down the beach before she got it under control. (I know, I was chasing her.) She practiced most of the time we were there, though... You know, just little gusts here and there, but practice nonetheless. It gave her something to occupy her time, as she wasn't very thrilled with the beach itself.

But now we're back! Which is good, as this summer has been far, far too busy. I need to get back to work! So first thing tomorrow, Acia and I are beginning repairs on an old crop duster I bought a while back. I meant to fix it a while ago, and..in truth, I did. But then I crashed it my first time flying. So, we're going to try again. That for tomorrow, though. For tonight...we unpack!

Saturday, August 7th, 2004

Eck, we've been busy... I haven't had time to write anything. sweatdrop Now'd be a good time for an update, I suppose. So where to begin... We finished the crop duster. There were more repairs then I thought, so it took the better part of four days...but we got it done! And yesterday me and Acia took it for a test flight. I've learned that as long as I don't look down, I'm fine. So not once did I look down! Until we had to land..but I'll get back to that.

The little plane flew wonderfully. Acia absolutely loved it. There was a nice breeze to begin with (which I think Acia might have actually had a part in), and it wasn't -too- hot out, a blessing for this time of summer. We took an all day flight... paused for lunch in some clearing, then continued home after a while. What a VIEW! It was absolutely amazing. We weren't able to go as high as I would have liked (That little plane's just not capable of making that altitude), but I think with a few modifications it will be possible. At any rate, Acia and I have another flight scheduled for tomorrow.

Every evening when we'd finally stopped working, I'd set Acia down and make her study one subject or another, helping whenever she needed me. So far we've been doing science (Mostly chemistry, using her science kit), math (simple addition and subtraction, though she's learning very quickly), and reading (which she doesn't like much). The science is by far her favorite. It's always the first thing she pulls out, and I've actually had to bribe her with it to get her to try and read. I think she would like the math more if it were more challenging... Addition and subtraction isn't very interesting. But she'll get there soon enough. She's been having a bit of trouble with the larger numbers... but I think she'll have that down within the next few days, and we can move to multiplication.

Her reading and writing is what has me the most worried... Writing not so much, because I understand that it's hard to hold a pencil with paws, so it'll be hard for her to write anything. Maybe I could let her type? Hmm, I'll have to try that... When she first began reading, I had her going through kiddie books. You know, those famous 'See Spot Run' type things. Acia absolutely hated those. Not that I blame her, but it wasn't very helpful to our cause... I've found a solution, though.

And once again, we're back to science. In Acia's science kit, we found a little instruction manual saying what each vial contained and it's properties and such. Some of the words are hard (even for me), but my glider's been much more interested in that than anything Dr. Seuss has out.

And now I think...we should probably take a break and go visit the Shop. There are a bunch of new plushies, and I'm not sure if any have grown yet. Besides, we haven't been over there in a while, busy as we've been. There are actually a few Velveteens that Acia's never bet, and I've only just found out existed! Go figure. I don't think I'll tell the glider, though, or she might just drive me crazy trying to get me to bring her to the Shop. When she sets her mind to something, she won't stop until she's succeeded. I'm so proud n.n

Tuesday, August 10th, 2004

We went on another flight Monday evening, and it was even better than the first!! Acia and I spent most of Monday adding this and that too the crop duster to, basically, improve it. Our little plane can now fly higher, faster, and longer thanks to a few changes. We'd planned to go out again this afternoon, but it looks like Acia got a bit too excited; the wind's far too strong for us to even attempt to fly, and she can't figure out how to...er...turn it off. But, I figure it'll die down in a day or so, so I'm not worried.

I'm using this time to my advantage. I've started teaching Acia basic multiplication, and she seems much more interested than when it was only addition. Not to say that she likes it very much; she doesn't. She often slips away when I'm not looking... Sometimes I'll find her tinkering with one of the many half completed projects in the garage, or spilling green goop all over the counter from her science kit, but most of the time I don't find her at all. That glider knows this house better than I do.

Which is fine with me. Let her enjoy it while she can. We're currently in the process of moving into the Jivvin House -long story, I'll get back to that- which is much bigger than the one we currently live in. My sister's still going to keep our house, but me and my 'pets', who are more like family, are moving into that big creepy place in the woods. Fun. If it didn't have that whole multidimensional thing... Well, nevermind.

Umm, where was I..? Yes, well, studies are going well, sorta...kinda... Well, she still doesn't like reading very much. I've give Isto the task of finding a book to interest Acia. I think he'll find one soon.... He's a big reader. Problem is, I'm not sure if she'll be able to understand anything he picks for her. We'll see, I suppose.

I regret to say that I haven't been able to visit the Shop in a while... We've been busy; what with moving and our flights and all. I'm going to try and bring Acia within the next few days... Maybe this evening. Dunno... I just want her to have friends among her own um... species. Which she does, sorta. Hmm...maybe we could have D and Sidney come over one afternoon. Once we move in...

Wednesday, August 18th, 2004

Well, it's been over a week and we still haven't been able to visit the Shop. It's not completely our fault, however. For one thing, we've just finished moving into the jivvin House, so we've been too busy unpacking to do much else. For another....well, the past week has been very...eventful.

First things first: Jack grew up...Saturday or Sunday evening. So he's an adult now, and bloody well acting like one. Snotrag that he is... Plus he's got about half of the female Jivvins hanging all over him, so... I guess I should be happy for him? I find it rather frustrating. But, at least he's not babbling about getting a ship anymore. I think he's planning on waiting until he's at the next stage.... But that's another story.

And then, Sunday night, Isto changed to fifth stage... I have to say, he's freakin' awesome. <3 <3 <3 It's true, it's true. His entire right arm is made of metal and wires and whatnot, he rarely wears a shirt...and he has a green mohawk. A green mohawk... I've tried shaving it off twice, but it just comes back when he changes back to fifth stage. I'm starting to get used to it, though...

The problem is, I rarely get to see him as fifth stage, because every time he comes in the house Acia attacks him and clings to his arm. I have to admit, I don't blame her, but she is getting a bit carried away... She keeps trying to take it apart or rip it off his shoulder. Needless to say, he's not very happy. So he spends most of his time in his adult stage... He still has a metal paw, but it's not as...elaborate.

And, let's see, what else is new... Well.... I'm not sure if I ever mentioned, but another Skull Monkey joined our family n_n His name's Banda, and he's deaf. Yes, deaf. Absolutely wonderful child, though... He's actually normal! Save for the whole deaf thing... He's fitting in wonderfully with the family, though n_n Isto's been a big help with him. Acia likes to play with his watercolor paints...but other than that, she doesn't pay much attention to him. I think he's a bit to calm and collective for her. Mebbe not, though...we'll see.

And now, for the world of Acia. Aside from trying to steal Isto's arm, Acia hasn't been up to much.... Well, nothing new, anyway. We've managed to find a few books she'll actually sit still and read, so that's a big improvement. She's nearly used up the supplies in her chemistry set... I'll have to buy some more next time I can. I'm sure they're sold somewhere... Math's going well, too. We've started on division n_n And...she's catching on. She still doesn't like math much, methinks. I say she's just bored.

We've returned to the task of attempting to fix my hovercraft. To be quite honest, I think we're going to have to start from scratch. Which is perfectly fine with me! The old hovercraft had a bunch of imperfections...and absolutely no brakes. So, yeah, it really needed to be redone anyway. We'll make that our project for the next week n_n For now, over and out. Toodles, yo.

Grargfoogle, but I have been neglecting this log... All my logs, actually. But that's not the point. I suppose there's really nothing to write about... Am I boring? I certainly hope not, but you never know... Things haven't really changed since I last wrote. Acia's slumped off on her learning a bit... but I figure that's alright. Everyone deserves their breaks, right?

I did managed to buy some new supplies for her chemistry set, and a few we didn't have before as well. Then she nearly burnt the house down, so I took back some of the...more interesting chemicals. She wasn't very happy, but I told her she could have them back eventually, which cheered her a bit.

We managed to sneak time at the Shop a bit last...Saturday? Yes, I think that was it. Anyway, I got to talk to ArFaen a bit, but then he had to go.. Which was probably a good thing, as Anastasia was about to start pelting my glider with marbles. Oh! Anastasia's a child now! And she's from the same generation/group/whatever as Acia is! I believe another of the Velvets.. Erae? Has recieved a...oh, what did they call it... child quest? And he was from her group too! So, she'll be growing soon, probably.

Of course, she was the last of her lot to come to life, so she'll probably be the last to grow as well. That's alright, though. She's less dangerous as she is currently. Hmm... I'm going to spend the next week doing more INTERESTING things! Maybe we'll go to the zoo.... I'm not sure if Acia would like the zoo. Hmm..... Never know until you try, right?

'Til next time, over and out, yo n_n

Acia

Moo is sick today so she asked if i would do a log entry. i tried writing but i couldn't hold the pencil. so im typing. its fun! but annoying. i haveta stretch all the way across the board to reach some buttons. its hard to think of things to say. ive never talked like this and im not sure if its right. it looks right. when i read it looks like this. just fancier. they typer thing made the first letter big but i dunno how to make the rest that way. ill ask moo later.

We went to the zoo the other day. didga know? i like the zoo..i think. i was kinda sad at first cause all the animals were locked up but moo told me that they were happy and well taken care of. they didnt look very happy. well some did but not all. there werent any animals like me at the zoo. i wasnt surprised. i wouldnt like to live at the zoo. i like my house and my big loud family and moo. and at the zoo i wouldnt get a kemistry set.

Kemistrys fun. ive made a bunch of stuff but it usually ends up exploding or melting threw the glass. so i dont have it anymore. its alright though. i can make more.

Um what else... i am responsible! miz huni gave me a gumdrop thing and told me to take care of it. so i am! i never let it out of my site! cept that one time when ron tried to eat it... but i stopped him! moo thinks itll grow into some kind of animal so im gonna take real real good care of it. umm umm...

I dont really know what else to talk about. we dont go to the shop to often and when we do go we usually dont stay long. i heard that theres gonna be a party but moos not sure if well go cause shes sick. she said if she feels better we can go so i really hope she does...my arms are sore...goodbye log thingy

RP with Kanth

Sitting on the ground, Kanth had a hand of cards, and sitting across from her was Erae. She smirked at him, spreading them apart. "... go fish."

Moo was not feeling well x.x Not well at all. But Acia had been pestering her all day, so they were off to the shop! Sadly...they never made it. The reason being that the sidewalk was blocked. Blocked by a woman and...a skunk boy. ....Ohhhhh

In a flash Acia was gliding down from her shoulder and bolting towards the pair, persued by her poor, underappreciated caretaker. The glider skids to a halt just beside the pile of cards, glancing from Kanth, to Erae, to Kanth, to Erae...then chittering a greeting.

"Hey Acia!" Kanth murmured, smiling. "Erae and I are playing cards. Wanna join in?" Glancing up at Moo, she waved her over. "How about you?"

Acia nods and squeaks an agreement, stepping away from the pile to sit to the side, Kanth on her right, Erae on her left.

A short while later Moo stumbles up and drops to sit across from Acia, yawning softly, but smiling nonetheless. "Sounds good. Whatcha playing?"

"Go fish." Dealing them out cards from the stack, she put hers face down, stretching for a moment. "You don't look so well... are you sick, Moo?" Seeming concerned, she took out a water bottle and gave it to Moo, picking up her cards again.

"Water is good for you, and it helps your body become better. Hopefully you've been drinking some."

Erae tilted his head slightly, turning to Acia. "Do you have this one?" He showed her a King of Clubs, hoping she had a pair for a king.

Gladly accepting the water bottle, Moo twists open the top and takes a long drink before reply, setting the bottle aside in favor of her cards. "A bit...but I've been worse, so no worried. Don't worry, I've been taking care of myself."

Acia peers up at the card, then back to her own. She'd slipped her own cards into a crack in the sidewalk to hold them up. Glancing back to Erae, she shakes her head, chittering something which obviously means 'Go fish'.

Erae drew a card, sighing. He looked at Moo, sweatdropping. "Your turn."

Kanth nodded at Moo. "Well, I have to say that fresh air does people good, even though the 'experts' think you should stay indoors. Blah to them."

Nodding her agreement, Moo peers at her cards. "I agree completely. I'd much rather be outside when I'm sick, instead of being cooped up in a stuffy little room where I can't breath." She pauses and glances up, grinning faintly. "By the way, have a seven?"

"Yup. My favorite number, no doubt." Kanth took it from her pairs and handed it over to Moo, leaning back against the wall with a slight grin. "Go again."

She smugly sets down the pair, glancing once around the circle before pausing on Erae. "Have a four?"

Erae shook his head, yawning. "Go fish?"

Mumbling, Moo picks another card, tucking it into her hand, then nods to Kanth, "Your turn."

Smirking, Kanth glanced at Moo. "Do you have a four?"

Moo blinks...then laughs, pulling the card from her hand and passing it over. "Figures..."

She grinned, setting the pair down. "Acia, do you have any twos?"

Eyes glinting smugly, Acia shakes her head, chittering another 'Go fish' before rearranging her cards.

Sticking her tongue out, Kanth laughed and drew one, setting the newfound pair down. "Sweet." They were a pair of eights.

"Your turn, Acia!" Erae murmured softly, grinning at her. She was rather fun to be around - Erae wished that he could spend more time around her. Maybe now... they could, if it was okay with Kanth?

He'd ask later.

"All the luck.." Moo mumbles, but she was grinning.

Acia took a moment to make up her mind. Well, not really.. she already knew what card she wanted to ask for, she just wasn't sure how she'd ask. They could all speak english. She...couldn't. But that was alright! 'Cause she'd be able to soon enough n_n

Finally, she gives up on any stealth whatsoever and flips over one of her cards; a Jack, glancing hopefully to Erae.

Erae smiled and handed her one, sweatdropping. He figured she would be pretty smart... he heard she experimented with chemicals, after all.

Positively beaming, she pushes the pair aside, then turns her attention to Kanth. Picking out another card, she flips it over; a three.

"Tch! Lucky!" Kanth murmured, handing her the three. Glancing to Moo, she laughed. "Acia's a smart one. Think she'll change soon, like Erae did...? Hopefully so; I can tell Erae likes being around her."

Erae blushed, hiding his face behind his cards, which proved to be rather difficult - he only had two in his hands.

The glider grinned, both from her success and the complement, smugly placing the new pair atop the first. She blinked, stealing a glance up at Erae with his caretaker's final comment...hiding her delight by calmly scratching her ear.

Moo laughs, shaking her head in mock despair at the little glider. "Aye, she is... I hope so. It shouldn't be too much longer, methinks. They're pretty much the same age..." Grinning, she shrugs. "Acia likes pretty much everyone...but there are a couple she enjoys more then others. Erae's o-"

Acia calmly interupted by asking Kanth if the had a Queen.

Kanth shook her head, smiling. "Go fish." She turned back to Moo. "Erae's what...? Please continue."

Erae blinked at the two, turning even redder. He sighed, knowing he couldn't stop the inevitable, and flipped over an Ace, showing it to Acia.

"Erae's one of them," Moo finishes, then proptly sticks her tongue out at Acia.

At that moment, Acia was terrible thankful that she wasn't a child. Gliders, as animals, couldn't blush. She picks a card and immediately hands it over to Erae; an Ace.

Erae put down his pair, then turned to Moo. "Do you have... a one?" He waved his single card.

Grimacing, Moo hands over the card, staring down at her single pair. "I always lose at this game."

Kanth laughed as Erae set down his last. "I do too, since Erae's been playing cards with me. It's a little unfair, but I'm also proud of him."

"Speaking of abilities..." Kanth murmured, gazing at Erae talking quiety to Acia. "Erae has a shadow ability, though I don't know how to make him practice it. He's used it once before..." She thought a moment, glancing to Moo. "Does Acia have a special ability?"

Blinking, Moo mock-scowls, eyeing Erae cautiously. "Hmm...he cheats?"

Acia tilts her head slightly while listening to Kanth. Curiosity aroused, she turns her eyes to Erae, chittering questioningly. A shadow ability?? How'd he do that!?? Could he show her??

"Wind," the caretaker murmurs in reply, eyes leaving her glider for the sky. "Wind manipulation. She can basically control gusts and whatnot. She accidently summoned a hurricane a while back... We were trapped inside for days." Chuckling softly at the memory, Moo reaches for the water bottle, taking another sip.

Kanth laughed. "I love the wind. I wish I could do that when I felt like it." Grinning at Acia, Kanth leaned back, gathering up the cards.

Erae shook his head, having heard Kanth. "Too tired. I've... been trying, though. Could you show me your wind ability?" He motioned the wind with his fingers, wiggling them.

"Aye... I absolutely love that ability. And she likes it, because it means she doesn't have to launch from a high place when she wants to glide." She takes another long drink before setting the bottle down, sighing contentedly.

A squeak from Acia told Erae he needn't worry. She was sure she'd see his ability some time or another, so she could wait. She nods in reply to his queary, and within moments a gentle gust was blowing when there originaly was none...and strangely enough, it seemed confined to the area where the group was.

Erae smiled happily. "Maybe I could teach you... and you could teach me? We might teach each other, if it were possible...!" He ruffled her hair affectionately, smiling from ear to ear.

Kanth was about to reply when her watch beeped. Glancing at it, she sighed and stood. "Forgive me, but I must depart. If you feel better, you're more than welcome to visit my home - I'm hosting a party for all who wish to attend."

Acia chittered her approval at the suggestion, a likely would have giggled had she been able to. So didn't bother to fix her fur, merely grinned in reply, slowly allowing the wind to die down.

Moo's smile faded slightly as Kanth stood, but it soon returned. After a moment she stood as well, picking up the bottle and nodding. "Ah, I understand. We'll be there sooner or later, I'm sure. I don't think Acia'll let me stay away.."

The glider most certainly WOULD NOT! Psh, she'd hardly gotten to see Erae at all. And he's beaten her at Go Fish. That called for a rematch, which meant Moo would have absolutely no peace until they went to the party.

Erae put the cards in Kanth's pack, and then trotted after her, waving bye to Acia.

"We'll see you around, Moo. Take care, and I hope you feel better soon! We have plenty of things I'm sure you'd like." Walking and waving, Kanth took her exit, more than in a happy mood.

In a flash Acia had climbed up to Moo's shoulder, waving goodbye from her perch there.

"We'll drop by soon, Kanth. See ya 'round!" And with that said, Moo waved a final goodbye, then pushed open the door and stepped into the Toyshop.

Let's see, what's new since I last wrote... Well, for one thing, I'm better n_n I see Acia actually typed an entry... I didn't know she could understand that much. I suppose she must, though, or she wouldn't be able to read... What am I saying? Of course she does, or she wouldn't have written that.

Well, hmm... I'm better n_n Still have a bit of a cough, but that's all. The 'cheer me up' while I was sick, Jack and Isto gave me a haircut... I now have a green mohawk. It's terrible. Seth was shocked when he saw... Then he laughed, so I suppose it's alright. I'm getting used to it by now, and Acia likes it because now she doesn't get tangled in my hair. Nonetheless, I'm trying to grow my hair back...

Acia's been keeping herself entertained, as I've been sick. She's used up all of her chemicals again... I'll have to buy more in the morning. She's taken a break from math, mostly due to the fact that I've been too ill to teach her anything new, but she's finally managed to find a book she likes. Oh, what was it called.... Well, I can't remember. I'll figure it out later. She's spent most of her time reading it, due to the lack of anything better to do. I feel bad for neglecting her... but I've only just gotten over my sickness, whatever it was. I'll do better, now.

A few days ago, while I was still sick, Acia managed to badger me into taking her to the shop. However, we spent most of our time outside of the shop, rather then in. We met up with Erae and Kanth out on the sidewalk where they were playing cards, and decided to stay out there and join them. 'Twas fun, Erae won easily.

Kanth's hosting a party in a couple of days for the Velvets, their owners, and other shop regulars. It's a special party, though, from what I know. It'll extend a week... I'm not sure if I can stay away rom home for a week, but we'll see. If not, I'll probably ask Kanth if Acia can just stay. She's not -too- much trouble, and everyone else would be there...right? I'm going to try to stay, but...we'll see.

Hmm, what else.... I hear a few of the plushes have grown. Acia and I haven't had a chance to meet them, though. Mayhaps they'll be at the party...
