Vulperomes mane was ruffled by a gust of night breeze and he smiled lightly at her calling him 'little fox' he supposed what comes around goes around, but that eventually she would come to like the nickname he had chosen for her, and that she would learn he wasn't a 'little fox'
"Merely curious. It's a gift to supply lyrics as flawlessly as you do. Not a gift that I possess, and so I cannot help but be curious about it. Excuse me if I was too nosy for your comfort." He stepped gracefully over the corroded part of the wall after her.

Tara chuckled softly and looked back at him, "You didn't answer my question, little fox." She replied airily, a smile flickering acrosse her lips. She checked the distance between them and lengthened it. Even she had personal space. She trotted forward spun around once, lightly touching the stone with her paws once. She started humming again,
"You! You want nothing to dooo with meee Youu You want nothing to do with meee I~ I don't know what to do with you, Cause youuuu Don't know what you do to me--!"

Vulperomes patiently waited for her song to finish, honoring the distance she obviously wanted between them. A small smile played on his features as she sang and he listened to the lyrics.
"Amazing, what you can do." He raised his chin thoughtfully, "As for why I'm here? Can't a malu just take a walk on such a fine night as this?" He looked up to the full moon above, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye, then looking back up, "It's the best time of month, when the moon is full."

Tara shrugged, "It is nothing from where I come from. I am not especially amazing." She replied modestly. She turned slightly and looked up at the round soft orb that had always watched over her, "Indeed." She replied softly. How long had it been? How long had she gone without looking at the beauty of the full moon? Months perhaps. Maybe even a year. She let out a soft sigh, "I wonder how much she has seen." She murmured softly, golden orbs reflecting the soft light. For once, no song bubbled to the surface. Nothing could describe the moon accurately enough for her to do so, though she had tried countless times. She had never accomplished it and the challenge of doing so made a thrill charge through her.
She smiled faintly up at it, the moon had been a constant companion to her, along with her siblings and she was grateful to it. She glanced sideways at the fox malu, would he understand the significace? Probably not. Males usually did not think like that. A pity, really, how could they not? She let out another sigh and wondered why she even played this game of cat and mouse with them, after all. Everything had been fruitless and odds were that nothing would change.

He continued to look at the moon as well, "Well, even if you feel that your gift is nothing special, I find it to be so. Perhaps that makes me naive in your opinion, but one will just have to live with that." He smiled.
Sitting down a thoughtful look came over his face, "Do you ever feel like the moon is a guardian? Watching us all, like a protective mother?" He laughed a bit and looked down, "I've always found her feminine, nothing so beautiful could be male."

Tara blinked at him for a moment then looked away and toward the moon, "Indeed." She replied softly, looking sideways at him, "How is that you think such things? Male are more interesting in....continuing their line with another suitable female, so to speak." She shrugged and let out a deep sigh, "But of course, I am merely speaking from experience and my own thought." She looked back at the moon again, "But she does seem female, it is a wonder why I did not choose her for my area of worship." She smiled slowly, "But my Goddess is generous with me." She cocked her head at the fox male, "And you?" She asked softly, "What do you think?"

"I believe one does not choose their god, but that their god chooses the malu. As for why I think of such things? Well..." He looked up at the moon again, and such an expression of loving and peacefulness came over him that no malu would ever expect him to be lying, "She's my goddess. I consider her very often, because she protects us all."
He looked down, suddenly looking sad, "She was the only one there for me when I was evicted from my forest home." He forced a smile and glanced at Taraneh, not a thing about him hinting at the lie he was telling, "She's always been there for me."

Tara stared at the fox malu in astonishment. He seemed so....so....perfect. Instantly, she was suspicious. How, could this malu, this male malu seem to know how to get into her heart so well? A tiny voice inside her head had been whispering to her, but she hadn't deigned to listen. Now she did, and it spoke of dissent.
How can he act like that so suddenly? it whispered, What male that you have known has ever revealed himself so deeply at first glance They'd barely known each other an hour, how can he be already trying to take things deeper?
Her eyes narrowed at Vulperomes and her throat tightened. She stood up abruptly, "I'm afraid I must be going." She all but growled, "I forgot I was supposed to meet with my sister. Good day." She had half a mind to just run away from that creature but she was a malu of dignity and running away was beneath her. So she stalked off, a clear stiffness to her walk, though it still remained an elegant movement.

Vulperomes watched her go with a slight smirk, not seeming disappointed in the least. Ah well, he had been rejected before, besides, he wasn't sure he wanted to be with a prude like that anyway. She'd surely expect some full-time commitment that he just wasn't ready for yet.
Still, he thought as he admired her retreating form and cocked his head lightly with a smirk, she was a good-looking thing. Jumping down from the wall, he walked back up to the temple.
((Mark as finished?))
