Kamin had a proud glint in his eye as he nodded. "Yes, I lived there. Well, by the ocean. We were a semi-aquatic pack, spending our days hunting fish in the sea, and our nights sleeping in the cave." He smiled down at the little one, not positive he'd understand what he'd been told. It must be nice to be born in such a diverse place as the Temple, he mused. No prejudices here, that was for sure. And they were a hardy bunch, the natives, and they knew the desert as well as he knew the ocean. Yes, it must be nice to be raised here. He wouldn't take back his childhood in the water and trade it away, of course, but if he had the choice of where to raise his own pups... The Temple would deffinatley do.

"cooool!" Gabriel cooed "I wanna see da big water!!" he looked at the fountain again "dis is to small. where is it?" he asked looking around the court yard, as if expecting it to apear in front of him. it would be fun to dance in the water... though, he would prbably have to learn how to swim first

Kamin smiled slightly, musing what it would be like to have his old home right next to the Temple. Wouldn't that be wonderful? He'd go for a praying session and then go swim in the salty ocean, basking in his god's true glory. Of course... That was out of the realms of reality, unfortunatley. To go for a swim in the sea again meant a two days' journey to the south east, and it meant going home. Neither sounded very pleseant to the male, but he would do it again if he could only go swimming with the saltwater fish once more. Maybe he would go back some day, but not to his old beach, to another one. One with a cave for shelter and trees for fruit. And he could stay there all week and bring a special Malu to go with him.
"They aren't around here, unfortunatley. About two days to the southeast. If you travel when you're older, you can go there someday, maybe. The biggest water around here is freshwater, and it's probabley the stream that-a-way." He lifted his paw in the direction of the stream, although he was sure the little pipsqueek knew its location.

“Awwww, but dats smaaaaal” he pouted “I wanna se endless someday? Wens I’s big?” He hopped out of the fountain and shook out his fur. Flapping his wings a couple of times to get the water off of them. ”I fwy dar someday” he grinned up at Kamin. Then with one last shake of his head, he turned around with out warning and started to trot away. “bye bye bald! See you wound!!” Having something better to do in his mind. He began his search for the skittish young orange malu, whom Gabriel looooved to freak out.

Kamin nodded, remembering that he was trying to build a traveling party. It could very well take until the littel Gabe was an adult to set out on his journey to revisit the ocean. "Sure, you can see it when you're big." He nodded, and turned away. As the pipsqueek ran off to play, he figured, the grey malu padded his way back through the temple and out to the steps. Who he was looking for he wasn't sure, but whoever it was, he'd probablly never find them. It didn't take him long to leave the steps and head back to his pack.
Finished! :]
