Critique for you.
Uh. I don't quite get the hybrid part, but that's okay. I'm sure it works. Somehow. >>;
From physical appearance, I can't really give any critique. Though red eyes are unusual for a merman...will he wear contacts?
The bit about the pendant of pressurized air is genius. heart

Nope. The poor man's eyes aren't going to get screwed-with no more. They're really not red, anyway. The albinism makes them completely colourless, and the pink and red is simply the reflection of his eye-innards. xD
The hybrid part is just to make him a wee bit more funkay-looking wiv the ears an' extra height an' all. :B
Thankees, deary. <3

First off... Thank you for not having an albino character who is miraculously immune to the sun. ^^
I would like to know more about the mystery scar, even if it is only OOCly, but I'm just curious like that.
Overall, I quite like your concept. The only thing that makes me go "huh?" is the thirty minutes breath-holding since the longest on record for that is about 7 or 8 minutes. But, given he's half-elf, I am guessing that has a lot to do with it?
But yeah, that is the only thing I question. Otherwise, good concept and he seems like an interesting character.

Ooh. I gets it.
Do elves have red blood? If he bled green or blue bile, he could have green or blue eyes.
Just something to think about.

Mmhm. I haven't quite decided what KIND of Elf, but I assume some kind of...watery thing? Even he isn't all sure. xD
-can hold her breath for 4-5 minutes, max-
The scar is from a rather emotionally-damaging bar fight. If you wanna know more, you hafta IM me. I dun' wanna saaay~ :B
And the albino thing? Yeah. That pisses me off too. x3

Actually, just knowing basicaly where it came from is cool. =D
I just love details like that so those are usually what I end up homing in on.

Ohhohoh *tingles with opportunity* When I read the albino part I was a little like "Oh no, not again!" but you've actually made him ALBINO and not pale p***y boy. xd I also particularly love his name and that he comes from the Gaia universe. I'd like to see a little more added to his personality. He's nice, a good friend... yeah, but what else? What's he afraid of? What makes him angry?

I believe Guybrush Threepwood can hold his breath for ten minutes.
The 20-30 minutes thing is a little odd-seeming, but I guess it could work. He sounds cool enough, and it's good that his albinism doesn't make him immune to sunlight.
I don't, however, believe he could smoke cigarettes and maintain his fantastic lung capacity and oxygen efficiency. The guy's an athelete. I don't think he'd smoke.

Well, taking the smoking and holding his breath for a long time might sound odd together...
.... he IS a (half) elf. I think he can get away with a few NOT ordinary things, yeah? mrgreen
I really like the character. The points you tied together are cool too. I like the fact that he's a merguy, who's not really a merguy. He's more of an actor working off his appearance and milking that for the audience. Which, is what circus people DO.
Cheers to you. <3

-{Souls in the wind must learn how to bend,
Heehee, then there's that guy on FearFactor who smokes all the time and won the holding-breath competition thing. xd
"...if he can sneak it past the audience that he's inhaling costume jewelry." I love your concept, the last statement about the pendant thing made me laugh. Inhaling costume jewelry, rofl!
And since Elves are technically magical beings, it would make sense for them to be able to hold his breath longer than a human, even if he is half-elf. Kind of like a breath-to-life span ratio thing. o3o;
Seek out a star, hold on to the end!}-

2 things:
1- I originally took the longest time I'd heard of (7 minutes) and multiplied by 3 to get his lung capacity. I got 21. Rounded it down to 20.
2- The smoking was only an after-effect of his near-drowning, and he does have a slight immunity factor due to his hybrid-ness (how many Elves do YOU see with lung cancer?), but yeah. I assume that, earlier in his life, he could go for longer than 20 seconds. xD;
Anyway, 1 cig every other week, that's his personal rule. x3

I really love this so far. I like that he's not one of those willowy uke-boys with big sweet eyes and WOE-helpless. X) I totally dig him!

I love the fact that he melds his actual albinism with fake body parts to pass himself off as even more unusual than he really is. And FINALLY, someone wrote an albino sensitive to the sun...people always "conveniently" forget about that. wink

Wtf.
No. xD
I study albinism. I'd be failing myself if I made a frail, totally normal guy who just happens to have no pigment. x3 <3
