The octopus pulled himself up into his seat, turning to more comfortably look at the man who'd decided to invite himself into his make-shift home, "Y'aint been here too long ha' ye?" He noted the tentacles, a hairless brow quirking in curiosity. He pulled a cigarette from it's hiding spot under the seat cusion as well as his pack of matches and promptly lit it up in an attempt to keep his various limbs busy.

Finding his shoes, lifted them up and placed them on a rock. He decided againist putting them on just yet. He'd just get them soaked and didn't need to add his shoes to the list of the things he had ruined today. His suit, his sling... his notes. s**t!
He reached in to his pocket and took out a sad, soggy notepad. Opened it and swore. All the names and dates he had written down had been reduced to undesciperable ink stains. He threw the pad on the ground with disgust. Now he'd have to go bad to that retched graveyard.
Dimly aware that the octopus was addressing him. He considered being snide but if the man had decided to be civil he supposed he should follow suit. "Been here almost six weeks now. Why?"

"Six weeks, aye, tha's impressive aint it? Still go' fingers, I see," He pointed out bitterly. Tentacles? This man had tentacles? What was he becoming? Those didn't look like *his* tentacles- or rather, they looked somewhat like one of his tentacles but bulkier in their petit, freshly sprouted sort of way. So he wasn't another octopus- the doc wouldn't make another octopus would he? That'd be rediculous. A squid, maybe? He still didn't know that much about his own species.

Richard tentacles were pretty different from Billy's they had no suckers along their length, rather they ended in clubs, each with eight pairs of small suckers. They were thinner and moved differently. Gravity didn't seem to effect them as much as they waved lazily behind Richard's back.
Richard noted the bitterness and perhaps jealousy in Billy's voice. He held up his wrinkled hand to look at it. "Yeah, I got them, for now." His own voice betraying bitterness. He looked at his little arms that ended in useless lumps and frowned. Would they grow hands or perhaps they would suddenly devolve into tentacles too. He would put nothing past Moreau.
"The name's Richard by the way." Might as try a again. Tempers had cooled, replaced by a cold bitterness.

Billy took a long pull of his cigarette, watching the old man still with a stealy expression, "So wha' are y'doin' in me territory, Richard?" When he exhailed, the smoke curled up from the hold where his ear should be.

"Territory?" Pyroth had mentioned his "territory" too. Did they all think like that after it was done? Richard shook his head sadly. "You need better signedge. A simple beware the octoman would do eh?"
"I was walking home. Nothing more than that."

So much for being friendly.
"Ah I see. Its perfectly clear that you make no sense what so ever."
Richard slammed his feet into shoes and stood.
"Enjoy your rock." And with that Richard started heading towards the village.

"IT'LL MAKE SENCE ONE DAY, Y'OLD b*****d!" Billy crowed after him, his chair squeeking as he wheeled it forward. Ah, it felt good to shout again.
