"Landed?" This kid was speaking a different language now. "My father owns a place on the beach. I am more of a rogue. Makes life easier not to have others stop and stare at the freak show." He looked up at the teen, his hair falling back to show that the mixed demon did indeed have two working eyes. "What about you? I've never seen your kind; are you a freak as well?"

"FREAK! FREAK!" Alturius' tail whipped suddenly upwards and wisked angrily in the are. "How dare you! How ******** dare you call me a freak!" He growled and turned his back on the lounging 'rouge' so his father was landed, this made him what? The possible son of a lower noble.
Alturius didn't hold the illusion that the entire Isle was his anymore, he'd realized there had been a flaw in that as he'd grown. He was going to have to start from scratch, but most of the isle was unclaimed, so it wouldn't take him long to work his way into ascending to the monarch.
"I am not a freak, I'm... unique." He huffed. "I would think someone sharing some of my facalties in such areas would view himself the same, have you no honor in who you are? Obviously not if you consider yourself a rouge, unless you're a b*****d son?" He turned his head and raised a brow.
He might have a use for him...

"I didn't call you a freak, merely asked. I am not a b*****d, my parents were mated before my conception. I was merely born... deformed." He strugged with the last word, but what else would you call something obviously demon but saddled with a glowing halo that couldn't be covered. "And I live by my own standards. Thereby being outcasted from society, life is easier on my own." Soft echos of screaming wafted by him in his head; too many fights with his father over how to live. He shook the notion from his head and began to examine his nails as if to make the kid feel less like the center of attention; feeding an ego would be a terrible waste.

Alturius looked him over. "You don't look deformed to me." He said openly, though frankly, the lack of attention was starthing to bother him.
"Yes, the current society sucks, so I'm going to upend it, when I'm king, I doubt very much anything will remain the same," Alturius laughed. "I could use a man like you..." He thought for a moment.
"You'd make a rather useful Duke perhaps... What skills do you have?"
Right now Alty needed all the allies he could get.

For a moment, Alturius' answer made him happy, but then again, he wasn't exactly normal. He did however enjoy the teen's annoyance at not being stared at.
"Honestly, I'm not familiar with the feudal thing, so I have no idea what a Duke would be. What sort of skills would be needed? I'm not into manual labor."
Finally looking up, the mixed demon studied this new creature for a moment. "What are you, exactly?"

Alturius stared at Zeph for a moment, "Manual labor, oh HEAVENS no, that's for the peasentry, the servents, and other low rung miscreants..." Alturius shuddered. "I might muss up my hair!" shaking his head, he heard Zeph ask what he was, so he looked around for a sutable 'dias'.
A rock nearby would do, so he lept up on it and spread his feathery wings wide, his tail swishing side to side. He cleared his throat.
"I am Alturius, Lord of Telrunya! The righter of wrongs and the creator of Justice!" A lie of course, but for the unwashed, unlearned masses, it worked, or at least he hoped it would. "I will be king of all Telrunya as soon as I can properly lead the coup de'tat against those opressors that call themselves Elders, and say that they are 'protecting' us! We are not children to be lead like sheep!" He waved a hand into the air, his voice rising as he made his points. "Are you?" He looked at Zeph with intense eyes, commanding eyes. Without waiting he smiled and nodded his head. "I thought not!" Jumping down form the dias his grin broadened. "I am unique, you are unique, together, we shall join with others like us, and those that would join us, and we shall become the leaders of this place!"

The hairstyle that constantly hid half of the mixed demon's face proved to be a boon; he couldn't help but raise an eyebrow skeptically at the naive teen, but luckily it was hidden from view. This kid had obviously spent too much time in the sun; common sense screamed at Zephyros to distance himself from the male. However, he couldn't just let this strange teen wander freely to get into trouble and maybe hurt; this would definitely be a strange adventure.
"Impressive speech," he granted, mainly because as full of hot air as it seemed it was quite a spectacle. "My name is Zephyros. And you are?"

"Alturius," He said with a grin, nodding his head slowly. "It is a pleasure to make your aquaintance Zephyros, your name is fitting for your couternance." He chuckled and bowed slightly. "So then, have you decided to accept my proposal?"
It would be interesting indeed, to see where this would go.

Zephyros had already decided to go for it; he didn't really have much else to do than sulk in the forest anyway. However, he wanted to look like he was really mulling it over. There was no sense overly inflating the boy's already puffy ego; the adult wanted to be more of a companion than a lackey.
Taking a step in Alturius' direction, he moved a finger to the side of his face and rolled his eyes upward. After a moment of this feigned consideration, he responded, "Sounds like an alright idea. I grow tired of hanging around this place anyway."

Clapping his hands together sharply, Alturius was beaming. "Wonderful! Absolutly glorious!" Alturius was quite happy with how this day was turning out already. "I am very sure you'll make a fine Duke, I have much need of a man of your callibur." He said with an over exaggerated nod.
Yes, today was looking very good indead.

"Sounds good," the mixed demon replied. Well that was done, but what now? Zeph shifted his eyes to the left and nothing; he tried to the right, still nothing. The kid was just standing there, staring at him with this really happy grin. It was make or break time; either hope the answer becomes very apparent or ask. Damn, he thought to himself before choosing the latter and more humiliating option.
"Sooooo, what now?" The adult asked with a lopsided grin, trying to break the awkward silence. "Are we going somewhere in particular?"

Alturius had to actually stop for a moment and give that some actual thought. His want, would be to seek out Ariel and Tamrin, as well as their mother Bellatrix, and their father Signis. This thought was of course quickly tossed aside. There would be time for that later, right now, he needed to do something to gather information on his enemies. These were of course, the Elders of the isle, and to Alturius' knowledge, the only one who he could trace any bloodline to was his grandfather Hi. This of course, was leading to a problem. For he was sure if he met Hi directly his grandfather would not be one open to talking about strengths and weaknesses. No, he would have to be sneaky, and above all that...
He would have to approch Elders he didn't know, preferably ones not related to his mother, and that knew his mother, and knew of him. With any luck, his mother had not spoken with his grandfather, and his birth and subsequent growths would come as a sudden suprise.
"Why, to the HQ," Alturius said, his grin never fading. "When we get there, I will begin to question the Elder there about his ablilites, and from there, we will work out a plan on how to render him no longer a threat."
Alturius thought his plan was rather sly.

"Alright then," Zephyros replied before turning toward the HQ's direction. "Shall we?" He knew these woods well and hoped the youngster would appreciate not having to run in circles. For as long as the mixed demon could walk, he had been slinking around in this forest; it proved to be useful on many occassions.
"Why exactly do you want to be king? It seems like a lot of work." He figured small talk would make the journey less tedious and maybe shed some light on the teen's megalomania. "You know, telling people what to do and making sure the whole kingdom has food and shelter and that the people are happy. Something like that seems easier left to the guardians."

Alturius had to think on that, but finally, he decided to tell Zephyros the truth. "It's my birthright, my mother said because of who I was born to, it is my destiny to rule the isle." He chuckled as he followed the mixed demon. "And what you say is possibly true, however, a good king has a good government to do all the dirty work, I just have to make all the tough decessions. To go to war, who to have killed, that sort of thing." He chuckled.
"Besides, the guardians are a bunch of hacks..."

"Oh? How so?" The idea that the guardians didn't know what they were doing had crossed the mixed demon's mind many times, namely when he glanced up at the oval of light that followed him around. He had heard tales of Pae'Il who angered the guardians and were punished; however, he had no way of knowing if these accounts were true or just a way to scare kids into behaving.
Zephyros ducked under a low branched and sidestepped a gnarled tree root that had snaked above land, hoping the kid would follow suit. He figured that as long he was here and walking with Alturius, he could at least see if the old wives' tales were true.
