"Not just yet, I haven't got much worked out. But I'm coming up with one as we speak..." He grumbled. "I'm not sure how to do it exactly, but that helicopter pilot has to be overpowered so we can comandeer the damn thing and fly out of here." He sighed. "It wouldn't fit everyone though, maybe ten or twelve people at most. I'll come up with something better soon, I hope."
He glanced back at Oz, a serious and determined expression on his face. "I have to. I don't wanna stay here, heck no. What about you? Are you interested in forming an escape plan, or are you gonna be like the other island people who have resigned themselves to being stuck here?"

"Are you kidding? Of course I'm in!" he replied with gusto.
If his mental workings proved to be true, then maybe he hadn't even started changing yet. And if he could escape before it happened, that would be even better. It'd be almost like he'd never been here. Everything could go back to some kind of normality. Finally, the first piece of good news he'd had all week!
"Just tell me what I can do to help," he offered, genuinely enthused.

Seth put down the xBox console and its accessories, seeming quite pleased with Oz's enthusiasm. He had spoken of vague escape plans with other islanders before, some had showed interest but not much, some had shied away and told him that it was a bad idea. But Oz was the first who actually had said to him that he was openly willing to help and interested.
"This is great," He began. "But keep your voice down and plot in secret. Apparently there's cameras and microphone bugs everywhere, all over this island. It's a bit like that horrid Big Brother show I'd imagine, only we're the entertainment for some bored laboratory staff only, and we're not about to be voted out and evicted any time soon..."
Seth abandoned the xBox and walked over to the couch that Oz was sitting on, so that he could discuss the matter with him in more detail, quietly.
"I haven't worked out much yet, but here's how it goes..." He began to explain. "Somehow, we have to get out to that helicopter pad at the edge of the island and wait for it to come in to land. Or wait until its been refuelled and ready to fly off again. What we would need to do is somehow disable the massive 'Man in Black' lookalike bloke who pilots the ruddy thing and steal it. It's about the only decent way I can think of to get out of this hell hole. Building a raft wouldn't work, the current would take it anywhere and you could be stranded out at sea for months and die. Not to mention the storms out there, which could sink the thing. Then you'd essentially be shark food... so yeah, stealing the helicopter is the most viable idea I have so far."
"There's some drawbacks with that idea though," He frowned, and began to count on his clawed-fingers. "One, I don't even remember the path back to the helicopter launch pad. Two, nobody really knows how frequently it comes in and out, so trying to follow it would be really hard. Three, I've no idea how to go about overpowering the helicopter pilot bloke."
Seth sighed. "So as you can probably guess, I'm open to any suggestion right now."

Oz listened quite intently, despite being very alarmed about the presence of bugs and cameras on the Island. How much had the staff seen already? And if they could see everything, how could they just sit back and let stuff happen?
The plan made sense. The Island could very well be subject to unpredictable weather and dangerously uncharted currents, making escape more risky than staying. But there was one very big thing that was standing out to Oz.
"Well, if you want to overpower the pilot, do you know anyone who can do it instead?"

"I don't know of anybody strong enough..." Came Seth's dissapointed reply after a few moments. "I hadn't thought that far ahead. At the moment, I was only trying to gather information on who would be interested and who wouldn't."
He gave Oz an interested glance, seeming to be looking over his entire form. "Hey... you look like you've beaten up a good number of people in your time. Are you interested in helping out?" He grinned, looking hopeful.

Was that a compliment or an accusation? It never surprised Oz at how many times people instantly judged him to be violent or aggressive because of his appearance. But sometimes, that was actually very beneficial. Most people avoided starting a fight with him, which is how he liked it.
"Oh, taking the pilot out isn't a problem. They didn't call me the 'Bulldozer' for nothing," he said, a hint of pride slipping in. "What I mean is do you have another pilot?"

Seth looked to be in high spirits right now. It was possibly the most hopeful he'd been since he arrived on the island in the first place. He moved across the room, and stood a few feet infront of the other man.
"Ah, thats the thing." He shook his head. "I hadn't really thought that far ahead, you see. I'm sure we have a pilot on the island though, somewhere. Either that or we could threaten the current pilot with death or something. Like those gun men and hostages in movies."
"So far, all I had planned was to er, somehow get out to where the helicopter pad is, knock out the pilot, and take over the helicopter. There's not much more to it than that." He scratched his head in thought. "I don't think there needs to be... does it sound good to you?"

Oz scratched the little bit of stubble on his strong chin, his face twisting and pouting in thought.
"Well, there's just security I guess. In the movies, the bad guys always have like a secret trip switch to turn the chopper off, or send missiles after it, or some such other thing like that," he offered, feeling like he was caught up in an action movie of sorts.
"But what was your plan when you got back to mainland? People might not be that welcoming..."
Oz was hesitant of his comment, aware that he was still fully human and whilst Seth only had the mild semblages of an animal form, he could still attract attention that might very well get him locked back up in a lab.

"Hmm... well," Seth began. "I can still pass as a human, right? Okay, so maybe I have a long face, but hell, I've seen way uglier people in my time, nobody would care there. Maybe I've got claws on the ends of my fingers and toes, and maybe I have a stupid little tail, but all those things can be hidden. Or the claws can be filed off, or something..."
He was just stringing things along and pulling random ideas out of his head now, and he knew it. But at that paticular moment, he couldn't think of much else to do. Oz had brought up a very valid question, he would have to think about that properly later.
"What duplex number are you in?" Seth wondered. "I've been spending pretty much all my time since I got here, just trying to work out a viable escape plan. I'm in Duplex #65 if you're interested in dropping a note under my door. If I manage to work out something really good and workable, I can let you know."

Oz felt awful for bringing that question up, especially after Seth had been so enthused about finding someone to help. It wasn't seemingly a problem for himself though, since he still looked human. He was glad that Seth changed the subject quickly.
"Oh, I'm in Duplex 74, its one of the upstairs ones," he replied, making a mental note of Seth's Duplex number. He'd probably have to write it down eventually.

"Awesome," Seth nodded, making a mental note of the Duplex number immediately. "I'll give you a buzz somehow, probably slip you a note under the door or something like that. Calling you via the room intercoms or phones isn't very smart, because I'm guessing the phones are bugged. I'm more than willing to say that the higher-ups have bugged those lines, actually."
He frowned. "Once I've worked something out, I'll definitely let you know though. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who wants to get out of here."
"See you later, then?" He grinned. "Have fun lounging around there. There's not that much to do in this place generally, might as well enjoy the time and laze around, ey?"
Seth headed for the door and waved goodbye, quietly slipping out of the room to leave Oz to himself.

Oz waved Seth off, a little perturbed by his paranoid comments about the intercoms being bugged. He was glad he hadn't had any use for them so far, except for trying to get medical attention for Sayuri. He slumped back onto the couch, breathing a huge sigh, as if a great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. His little mind was a wash with giddied fantasies of Bond-style escape schemes.
In the spirit of secret plots, he browsed the DVD shelves for some inspiration.
'The Great Escape.' That'd do nicely.
