The man listened to that with as much patience as he possessed, frowned, and weighed the value of his time against the necessity of his duty. He decided his time was too valuable and turned around. "Sal!" he yelled as he headed back into the house. "You deal with this!" He passed the device to the woman from earlier as he stormed back into the house.
Blinking after him, the woman delicately stepped out onto the porch. "Did you want to go back to Gaia?" she asked Silva.

((Sorry, sorry))
Silva nodded. "Yeah, thanks." He muttered, feeling as if he had wasted his day. After a second he shrugged and waited for her to let him leave.

The woman hesitated. "Did my husband upset you?" she said, concerned.

"I--" He stopped, gritting his teeth tightly to keep from going off. "I've got a life debt to pay, lady. Two of them. But if jumping through hoops is what I have to deal with just to find the guy I owe, then I'm better off chasing down the b*****d in the forest."
He smirked, amused at his own rage. "At least he didn't yell at me before he thought about killing me. But don't mind me. I won't be coming back." He turned, motioning to the device. "You mind? I've got a fire breathing mouse to catch."

"I'm sorry. I hope you find him," she said sadly, and moved the dial of the device. A button clicked under her thumb. The device emitted a hum, but besides that there was no immediately noticable change in the area. "Don't place too much heed in what Corvus says or does. He's that ill-behaved with everyone."

"I understand ill-behaved." He muttered. "That was just being a d**k. There's a difference." He sighed, shrugging and giving her a crooked smirk. "Sorry about dumping on you, lady. Usually if I'm going to be an a*****e I pick someone who deserves to deal with it."
He turned, expecting a rift or an opening to appear.

At that, she gave a wry grin -- the first sign of any true personality from her -- and said, "I know what you mean. This is the least of what I have to put up with every day. Just pass through the air and you'll return to the rear of the shop."

He nooded, levitating slightly then moving forward, leaving without bothering to explain what he had been looking for. He had already made a big enough a** out of himself as it was.
