A huge sediment of gratitude to all the colorists w ho have created the beauty of my herd as it grows with time. I look forward to each of you making additions and helping my soquili create their long line of lineage.
sirenz another great big thank you for without you the shop would have never taken off and pulled my adoration of equine pets back out into the open. Not as bad as my MLP obsession but still.
And finally everyone who finds the time to know my soquili and share wonderful roleplay with me. I've felt so wonderful ever since I've joined this shop in December 05. Thank you. I look forward to many years of soquili happiness in years to come.

Celendria Meets Alona Alona stood on her favorite spot in the whole field. On top of the slope that over looked the field and the woods. The wind blew and Alona was happy. It had finally snowed. She loved the snow, and everything about it. However as she stood blissfully enjoying the new snow, she heard a crunch of snow behind her, as if a soquili was near by. She turned around and saw a very odd soquili to her surprise. Celendria perked her ears as another's gaze lied upon her. She had never seen another Soquli in her life till this very moment. Strange thing was this other mare was not colored like the fallen snow and ice. Celendria calmly blew out in greeting to the new presence as she studied her. Her eyes held such a serene gaze as her ears flicked in curiousity.Alona nickered to her and said"Hello my name is Alona, I am pretty sure I have never met a soquili like you before." Alona took a step closer to look at the soquili much more carefully. She noticed that she was compleletly blue, like ice, and her long mane and tail reminded her of the new blanket of snow that laid on the the ground. This soquili was diffently very different.Celendria seemed to create a smile that accented her soft muzzle. She blew out once more in a happy sense, "My name is Celendria. Please forgive my curiousity but I've never seen another that is of my kind. Your coat is like the earth itself whereas mine is like the winter and ice around us. It seems so different to gaze upon".
The mare giggled inspite of herself for she was acting like a new foal learning new things around her."I don't mind your curiousity at all, besides I have never met a soquili with such an odd color like you before, it is so unsual yet very lovely indeed" Alona said smiling and nodding her head. Celendria closed her eyes in a brief giggle to herself, "Well atleast I'm not the only one whom thinks our coats are different." she whickered with a tinge of siliness. As a chilled wind snuck by she tossed her head and pawed the groud. "Hmm it is odd that this cold does not affect me. Does it bother you at all?" she queried with more curiousity."Well for me, it is cold, and makes me want to shiver, however I love the cold, but thats odd it doesn't affect you, maybe it has something to do with you odd coat" Alona replied nodding her head in approval. The wind picked up and Alona looked to the sky waiting for a snowflake to fall.Celendria nodded her head thoughtfully, "It must be as I've never thought about it before. I'd love to meet other Soquli someday. I'm sure there are all different sorts of coats we all carry." she said with a contemplative look.
Her neck stretched upward causing her head to look into the sky as well. "Ah snow is coming. I can feel the cold coming closer."
"Oh! really it will snow more, oh that is wonderful news, i love when the snow falls" Alona said with a look of excietment on her face as she watched the clouds in the sky waiting for the snow to come.
"What is your favorite thing about winter Celendria" Alona said taking her eyes from the sky to look at her.

Celendria meets Hania, Dyami, and Settia Celendria Dec 31, 2005 Celendria: Slowly made her way through the grass as it brushed against her sides. She perked her ears toward the sound of others of her kind. Shyly she stood there, yet curious to who they were. It was only one she had met of her race, and that was Alona.
Hania: smiled as he approached Settia. "Settia! It's nice to see you again. It's been a little while. How've you been?" Hania turned when he caught a glance of a beautiful mare he'd never seen nor met before. Bowing to her, he whinnied for her to join. This mare really caught his attention, however... she was gorgeous, and he couldn't seem to take his eyes off her. "...!" Hania was awed as he stared at the beautiful, sky fur-colored mare.
Settia: She smiled at Hania but noticed that his attention was somewhere else. She followed to where he was looking and also noticed the mare. She was beautiful and reminded her of the frost that kisses the morning air. She gave a chuckle as that was typical of Hania to notice every mare that came near him. She turned back to the other stallion and realized they had not introduced themselves. She spoke again to him. "I am sorry. I didn't tell you my name. I am Settia."
Celendria: Perked her ears once more. Was she being invited to join them? Shuffling her feet a moment the ice mare felt a bit nervous but decided on taking the welcome she was offered. Smiling she appraoched with a soft look to her expression. "Hello. Thank you for inviting me over."
Hania: managed to take his attention away from the gorgeous mare to look at Dyami. "Dyami! It hasn't been too long since last I saw you!" Hearing Settia chuckle, Hania sighed and let his ears droop. "Oh, I can't help it, and you know that, Settia. Just as when I met you, Alona, and Mahiri, I could hardly help myself." Hania perked up a little and felt his gaze settle, again, on the mare that remind him of beautiful mornings where the snow fell softly to kiss and bless the earth. As she approached them, Hania swept his infamous bows for the mares. "Thank you for joining us. Might I ask for you name?" he said as he straightened. "I am Hania."
Settia: smiled as the mare approached them. She knew Hania was like tat with all mares and was like that even when he had met her. "Hello, my name is Settia and don't mind him. He's like that with every beautiful mare he meets." she said jokingly.
Dyami: He remained silent as the others approached, quite unsure what to do as he wanted to make amends to the red mare. However he remembered Hania and attempted a wry smile, "Hello Hania" but could clearly see his attention was to the frosty blue mare who had arrived. The large stallion thought perceptively how different the two mares were...one a warm glowing red and the other a frosty ice blue......He bobbed his head in greeting.
Celendria: Felt a bit bashful though she was usually pretty calm and collected. She nodded her head to Hania feeling quite special. "My name is Celendria. It is wonderful to meet others like myself." she said as she studied each of them to learn who they were.
Dyami: He shifted his gaze upon the frosty mare, "My name is Dyami..." and offered no other words. Like the soquilis who have grown up wild, he spoke little and offered instead his companionship when needed. Since meeting the humans, his life seem to have shifted.......Tentatively he stamped his foot again, quite unsure of how to behave with the light mare.
Celendria: Shifted her own gaze upon the stallion whom had spoken to her just now. She felt a bit of a cold shiver race her spine, though to her it was the changing winds. "Hello Dyami. I apoligize for not being talkative but I've not met many Soquli as of yet. This now is more than I had ever expected. I do hope you'll forgive my timidness." Her head turned to the lingering clouds as a breeze swept by uplifting her white silvery mane.
Dyami: He followed her gaze and stared at the clouds, trailing greyness across the skies. He too liked to look out into the skies, especially as he raced across the wildlands. He smiled, "we find comfort in the companionship of family. There is no need for words. The wild herds often travel the land silent, but full of music....the trembling in the ground, the cries to the air....."
Celendria: Once again turned her soft expression back to him as she returned from her observation of the sky. "I can not feel the cold as others do. I hear the snow as it announces the season. As winter appraoches in its shimmering white blanket. Can you hear the snow as it calls outward in the wind Dyami?" she queried with an almost distant look in her beautiful eyes.
Dyami: He bowed his head, recognising a soquili of the seasons. "As the long cold deepends, even I feel the bites of ice. Our young ones retreat within the herd to keep warm...you are perhaps fortunate to be able to stay beneath the ice and yet not feel its deadly touch."

Celendria meets Orchu, Kanti, and Palla Celendria Sun Jan 01, 2006 Celendria: Paused as the wind rushed by as she looked to the sky. A couple more months would ensue cold days filled with glistening snow and ice for miles to see. She breathed in the temperature as her ears flicked back and forth. Lately she had met other Soquli, and she was happy. She was happy now. Perhaps others would appear as the previous day. Her thoughts traveling like wings on the wind.Celendria: Tossed her head and lowered her gaze from the sky. The grass was still plentiful yet it was coarse and hard to digest. She scrunched her nose in disgust at the taste. Sighing she walked on watching for other Soquili. Her mind alwys wandering in unison with her surroundings. A voice travelled across the breeze and she stopped in her pace. She smiled gently and whinied in response.Hania: continued on his canter when he spotted the beautiful, sky-colored mare from the other day. Blinking as he recalled not getting her name, he slowed to a trot and trotted over to her, bowing as he reached her. "Hello," he said gently, smiling a little. "I believe we've met, but I never caught your name." Straightening, he grinned widely. "If you didn't catch my name from before, it is Hania." Orchu: looked down at the basket. "I don't know right off.... hold on Kanti." He whispered. Orchu stood over and trotted over the the mare. "Hello my name is Orchu. Who are you?" He nodded to her and smiled. Just then Hania trotted over. Orchu grinned broadly. "Hey Hania!" Orchu nipped lightly at his shoulder. Celendria: Also heard a familiar voice that she had met the day before. It was Hania whom was very handsome. But it was polite to think that way let alone show it. She smiled in spite of herself anyways. "Hello Hania. My name is Celendria. I am honored to meet others in these vast lands." Hania: blinked as he saw his little brother Orchu. "Orchu!" he said, delighted to see the little flyer again. Nuzzling hello to the little colt, he grinned down at him. "It's been a while! How've you been?" Hania loved foals and colts and fillies as much as he loved mares (okay, so he admitted that he was a ladies' stallion) but it didn't matter to him. He was respectful of the mares, he could promise that. "Any new games or friends, Orchu?" He asked, smiling. "A beautiful name, yours is," he replied to Celendria. He hoped a little flirting wouldn't insult her. "It's a pleasure to meet you again." Celendria: Smiled at the youth as she had never met one such so young. "I am Celendria. Hello to you Orchu." she mused and tossed her head in greeting. This was turning out to be a really good day for introductions. She turned to Hania and felt a rush of her cheeks glow red. Lowering her gaze her eyes peered though her silken mane. "It is wonderful to talk with you again." she said regaining her composure. "So you two are siblings? Forgive me for being naive, but I've never met one so young.Kanti: wasn't too happy about being left there. "ugh, stupid basket" she said giving it another kick. She heard the other voices and didn't recongize any of them. She continued to kick the basket hoping it would open or at least move but no luck came to her.Orchu: smiled. "Hello Celendria." Orchu turned back to Hania. "Yeah it has been awhile." He said thoughtfully. "I've had it rough lately I guess you could say... I fell while I was flying the other day." He was embarrassed and ashamed; although the heat radiating off his cheeks was not seen over his black coat. "Palla and I played tag the other day and I actually just met someone new! You both should come meet Kanti!" He nodded enthusiastically.Hania: smiled, while fighting the blush that was slowly appearing on his face. He knew his face was a slight pink, but Celendria's face looking red with the contrast of her blue coat made her strangely appealing and even more beautiful than before. "Ah... Orchu is related from our cousins, the Wind Soquili. I consider him my younger brother because I am very fond of young ones, and he just so happens to be my favorite," said Hania, managing to relax with the change in topic and nipping at Orchu gently. "You fell? Are you all right? And who is Palla?" Hania asked, concerned and confused. Shrugging, he smiled at Celendria. "Seeing as my brother wishes for us to meet someone, shall we go and greet them?" Celendria: Nodded to Hania shaking her red from her cheeks. "That sounds wonderful. I'd love to meet others like our kind. And Orchu you have wings?" she said with curiousity inspecting them. "And you fell? My were you injured at all?" She frowned and looked quite concerned. Hania: nuzzled Orchu. "Seems like your fine, colt. That's the it should be, to be a strong stallion so that when you get a mate when you're older you can protect your mare." Hania was still fighting his blush, but smiled at Celendria. "Let us go greet some more of our kind, shall we?" He couldn't believe just how gorgeous Celendria was. He'd met plenty of beautiful mares, most of them his good friends, but Celendria was something else.Orchu: sighed. "I'm fine; I just panicked. And Pallaton is a Palamino Stallion I met." He spread out his wings and nodded at Celendria. "Yes; I have wings which I can fly with." He snorted lightly. "Kanti is just ove there." He gestured with a nod of his head and trotted over to her basket. "Kanti..." He drolled out lightly, nudging her basket. "Hania and Celendria and here to meet you." Orchu looked up at them and waited."Hello I'm Kanti," Kanti said responding to Orchu nudge. "Heellooo!!! Nice to meet you...well it would be nicer when I am out of this basket." she said giving it another slight kick. She was getting tired of kicking it so much. She wanted to get out fast she was very impatient.Hania: blinked down at the basket. "Is she stuck in there?" he inquired quietly. Smiling anyway, he greeted the basket, feeling a bit strange. "Hello, Kanti. I'm Hania." He inspected the basket, and to his surprise, scented a foal-filly. He stood and backed away so that Celendria could take a look. "I do believe I smell a filly in there. Seems like she'll grow to be beautiful just like all the other mares..." Hania caught himself staring at Celendria and quickly averted his gaze so that he could fight his blush. A mare had never made him blush this much before! Celendria: Looked at the basket and tilted her head. "There's a Soquli in there?" she said with confusion. Her face flushed that she was an adult and didn't realize these things. She had to laugh in spite of herself. The ice mare peered at it in pure curiousity. First there were wings and now a basket. She looked back to Hania and just blinked in her happiness of meeting everyone. "This is simply wonderful if I haven't said it before."Hania: beamed at the mare. "I'm thrilled that you're happy, Celendria." Her name pretty much rolled off his tongue, but he glanced back at Orchu and Kanti (well, the basket she in) to hide his blush. It was becoming harder and harder to maintain his composure. "So, Kanti, I can tell you are ready to leave your basket," Hania teased gently. "When you're free, there'll be many Soquili to show you the wide, open world."Celendria: Heard the sqeauk of the basket and lowered her head once more. Her silken white locks falling like fresh snow along with her. "Kanti. That's a pretty name. Hello Kanti my name is Celendria." She grinned like a child meeting a new friend. A new friendship that would develop like a budding flower. She glanced back at Hania and blused again though her eyes and cheeks were hidden behide the waterfall of mane and forelock. This was the first time to be complemented like she was . Of course it was natural to be estatic someone paid attention to her. Hania watched as Celendria's mane fell around her, like new fallen snow. Taking the comment to mind, he said loud enough for her to hear but quiet enough so that the foals wouldn't hear, "How beautiful. Your mane falling like that is like watching the new snow fall gently from a partly starry night..." Blushing like mad suddenly, Hania stood his ground but looked away, anywhere but at the mare in next to him.Celendria: Heard his voice and she blushed more. Was she truly that beautiful? She... most of her life had known herself. No others of her kind till now. He mentoned the snow, she liked the snow. She tried to concentrated though a gaze to the sky in routine wouldn't work. She couldn't look at him for some reason so she continued to keep her thoughts on Kanti. Orchu as well was someone whom facinated her. A Soquili with wings, and so young even. She smiled and closed her cystalline eyes in her giddyness.Hania was staring at the sky. He loved winter. But he loved summer as well. He glanced at Celendria. He just might love winter more than summer. Hm. Shaking his head, which tossed his mane to the other side of his neck, he moved a little closer to Celendria to look at Kanti. Yes. To look at Kanti, nothing else. Kanti and her basket. He mentally groaned. What kind of an excuse was that!? Mentally shaking himself hard, he tried to make conversation. "Ah... so, when did you meet Kanti, Orchu? Or did you discover her? And Kanti, I'm sure you can't wait to see all of us, right?" Hania hoped his teasing would get his mind off of Celendria...Celendria: Felt him move closer and she tensed her withers. Looking toward the basket she reopened her eyes. "So little Kanti. You will love this land I'm sure. Hmm right now its winter, then spring, summer, and fall. Winter is my favorite time of the year. I was born in this very season." she said rambling, but knew her speech was becoming more chatter than intellect.~*~ Celendria: Stood by the basket in her own thoughts, giddy from her day thus far. She then looked to the sky and closed her eyes once more. Another chilled breeze of the afternoon was hinting its arrival. Could be a cold night was closing in. She couldn't feel the chill but she knew the others could. She wondered if the cold bothered them. It was a simple query but she decided on furthering it. A tiny shimmer of a snow flake drifted down as it landed upon the ice mare's nose. She looked cross eyed at it as the beautiful creation melted into a wet area on her muzzle.Alona: "I am right behind you" Alona said galloping after Palla. She could feel the cold wind hiss around her as the ground pound beneather her hooves. She felt quite excited being able to run. She decided it would be best to stay close to Pallaton, she didn't know where they were going but it didn't matter, as long as she ran, she was happy.Palla closed his eyes for a few moments, shaking his head with muzzle in the air, the wind felt so good, hitting against his chest and his mane swaying against the wind. Opening his eyes again, he lowered his head slightly, ears folding back so the wind wuldn't just burst in, hooves pouncing against the ground and legs in his own rythim. " At this rate we'll be there in no tyme! " He laughed, though making sure none of his hooves slipped in to the water as to not fall. "That's good" Alona said half laughing with joy of the run. She remembered that she couldn't strain her knee to much, because if she did she wouldn't be able to walk for a few days. She could feel the cold wind toss her curly mane and tail around as she pounded after Palla, it felt good to have the cold air embrace around her as she ran. Half of her almost wish it wouldn't end.Orchu stood with Celendria silently. He shivered and folded his wings tighter to his body as a crisp breeze of winter air swept by. Orchu didn't say anything because he didn't want to disturb her as she stared into the winter sky. It began snowing lightly and Orchu shook his mane; relieving it of he tiny white crystals. He sighed heavily and snorted.Celendria: Still stood entranced by the weather as the cold set in much more with a bite. The sun was setting and another few flakes waltzed in the sky in a dance of traditions olde. She felt a tremor draw up her legs as she sensed the approach of other Soquli once more. She tossed her head and whinied high and long to greet them as they drew near. She stood close to Orchu and felt his feeling of the cold. Instictively she leaned down and nuzzled him. The cold wasn't nice to all creatures, especially not children.Kanti was alittle impatient being the basket. No one was speaking, and not being able to see didn't help her patients. She struggled to turn herself around in the basket hoping something would happen. The basket didn't budge from the drift it was stuck in. Kanti sighed.Palla blinked as something caught his eye through the trees, soquili? He looked at a small form, more noticable-- Orchu! He let out a loud neigh, as to get his and the blue mare's attention, only noticing later the basket. He looked back at Alone and motioned with his nose that he was gonna turn, before doing so and heading towards the other Soquili.Orchu looked curiously at Celendria as she whinnied. She nuzzled him and he nipped her shoulder affectionately. His ears swiveled as he heard a neigh not to far away and he turned around to stare at the direction it had came from. Orchu caught a glimse of Palla and he nickered upon seeing his friend.Celendria: Giggled at being nipped. He was still a child and quite cute in her eyes. Kanti she felt sorry for nudging the basket to try and comfort the little one inside. The approaching Soquli made her heart leap with joy as she recognized Alona. Whinying once more she called out to her friend she'd met once before.Alona: followed Palla's glance and saw Celendria and Orhu out in a clearing. Orchu! Alona thought and Celendria!. She gave Palla a nod and followed Palla to the other soquilis. Kanti: could here the whinny's outside her basket. Her ears perked up and she wondered who it was. "Who is coming, is it more soquili's" she asked hopeing not be forgot in the snow.Orchu: nuzzled against Alona gently as she and Palla reached Celendria and himself. "Hi Alona and Palla. How are you both?" He inquired; tossing his mane. Orchu snorted lightly and pawed at the frozen ground.Palla: slowed to a trot when he got closer, before finally stopping. " Hey Orchu! " He beamed, before looking at the blue mare. " Hello, I'm Pallaton. " He smiled, before looking at the basket, he had only seen one, so to him this wasen't the most common thing. " There a foal in there too? " He blankly remembered a foal having been in that only basket he saw, so probably this one too! "Hello Orchu" Alona said giving him a nuzzle back "and how are you Celendria I haven't seen you for a while" she said giving the mare a large smile. She didn't see Kanti until Palla said something. "Kanti! What are you doing here, you are suppose to be with Lilly!"((Ok to save post I'll do both Kanti and Alona in one for now ^_^)) "Of course there is a foal in here" Kanti replied back to Palla question "I'm Kanti". Then she heard Alona's voice. Uh oh! She found me. "I was with Lilly, Alona I promise, but my basket decided to go somewhere else" she said giving a mischivous smile from inside the basket to reasure she didn't do anything with causing the basket to slide down the hill.Celendria: Whinied in spite of her serene nature. "Alona! How have been?" she queried excitedly. Turning to Palla she nodded, "Hello Pallas. I am Celendria." She smiled and nodded her head to all of them. "Everyone meet Kanti. She is somehow in that basket. Though its a mystery how she got there." she stated with a silly naive tilt of her head. So many Soquli were just coming out of nowhere. This was better than staring at the skyOrchu: blinked and stared down at the basket. "Kanti's basket slid down that slope earlier." He gestured at it with his muzzle. "I was down here and I've been with her for a while..." Orchu's mouth twitched and he tilted his head. "She can't wait to get out of that basket of hers." Orchu watched Alona and swished his tail.Palla:"I'm fine, how bout you? " Palla asked, looking at the basket and laughing, the one he'd seen didn't talk! "Nice to meet you Kanti, and you Celendria! " He said with a smile, tail giving a friendly twich. Alona: "That doesn't surprise me Orchu, Kanti is quite impatient at times and her main concern is to be free, so her basket slide down the slope, hmph " Alona said giving the basket a slight nudge and then turning to Celendria. "I am doing fine Celendria, have you had any chance in meeting more soquilis" she asked giving a slight smile. Kanti: "Sssshhh! Orchu your not suppose to tell her everything I said" Kanti said giving the basket another kick. She didn't want Alona to know that she had been trying to get out of the basket again and caused herself to slide down the hill. She would have to hear it from the mare in a form of a lecture, and she hated the fact that she couldn't move from the basket to get away from the lecture.Celendria: Smiled and nodded to Alona. "I've been just walking along admiring the scenery. Winter is due to set in again I believe. Some small flakes drifted from the sky earlier." She looked down at the basket and laughed, "Soon you''ll be coming out of there little one. Though I still wonder how and why you got in there." The mare looked at Palla and thoughtfully nodded back. "So you and Alona were going for a nice run? Did you have fun?" She turned back to Alona and nodded enthusiastically, "Lets see I've met Settia, Dyami, Orchu, Palla, Kanti, and..." she paused as her cheeks grew red again, "oh Hania".Orchu: glared at the basket and snorted indifferently. He swished his tail and nudged the basket roughly. Orchu nuzzled Celendria and trotted over Pallaton to n** playfully at his mane."We were racing to the clearing. " Palla nodded, looking at the blue mare. "Running is always fun! " He said cheerfully. "Even if its running for your life. " The stallion nodded, he always managed to find a way to enjoy just about anything, and he prefered life that way.
Edit: Palla blinked and looked down at Orchu, before nipping at his own mane with a grin, he culd play that too! >.>Alona: chuckled at the mention of Hania's name. "So I see you have met Hania, he is quite interesting isn't he" she said thinking about him. She looked at Orchu after he nudge the basket roughly. "I'm sorry about her attitude Orchu, she is very high spirited, and a has a little of a mouth on her at times, she can be very caring, but she doesn't show it very well" she said look at Kanti's basket and then to Orchu.
Kanti: sat there and snorted. She was being scolding it again by Alona. She did feel sort of bad for yelling at Orchu, he was the frist friend she had talked to. She didn't respond to anything but remained sitting there thinking.Celendria: Shook her head as if to try and brush away the fact she was beutiful, well told by another stallion she was. "Yes he is quite interesting." she repeated with a clear of her throat to focus on the others. She smiled at Orchu that he nuzzled her and watched him playfully go after Palla. It was nice to meet others like her, and yes they did come in all colors of the rainbow. That facinated her to no end. Orchu: nodded at Alona. "Don't worry about it." He mummbled. Orchu playfully stuck his tongue out at Hania and arched his neck backward so Hania couldn't reach his mane anymore. Orchu listened to Celendria as she listed the soquilis she had met and he smirked deviously when she blushed at the mention Hania. Should I be expecting nephews and nieces already? Orchu thought to himself; laughing openly in his head.Alona: sighed. Kanti Kanti Kanti, she had only been there one week and she had caused more trouble then anyone else. Alona gave Orchu a smile with a wink when she noticed Celendria blush at the name of Hania. Someone is either in love or is well liked. Alona thought, she sort of half wished she could feel the same thing Celendria felt, but shook it off, she hadn't met any soquili that would have felt that for her, most of them were all just friends, or so she thought.
Kanti: felt even worse when Orchu mummbled. "I'm sorry Orchu" she said nudging the basket. She didn't mean to hurt her new friend's feeling. She didn't know what else to do, there wasn't much to do in a basket.King: King's basket sat in the snow. He was still pressing up on the lid to try and get out, but the more he seemed to fight it, the less it moved. That was frustrating. It must have been some strange fail safe to keep him inside till it was time to come out. Celendria: Noticed the snow start to dance once more and in her silliness reared up to catch one on her muzzle once more. A snow angel she mimiced as she caught another one. She was quite happy thie eve hoping the others wouldn't find her too wierd. Coming down on all fours she looked at them, her forelock rolling down over her eyes. She felt a tad embarrased but didn't outwardly say it. They would think she was a little much. She looked at the basket and frowned again. Perhaps she'll get out of there soon... poor thing I feel sorry for her."Orchu winked back at Alona and tilted his ears to listen to Kanti as she spoke. Orchu sighed. "I say it's fine Kanti." He said lightly. Orchu raised an eyebrow at Celendria as she reared before he noticed it was was snowing and she had reared up to catched a snowflake. Orchu laughed lightly and stuck his tongue out; attepting to catch some of the descending crystals.Pallaton looked up, snowing. Snow was nice, he just didn't like winter's side of litte food. He lifted to his hind hooves, mouth open and biting at every snowflake he culd reach. "One, two.. " He counted each, with a laugh and a smiled on his face. It was rather random, but it was fun. King: The small foal again tried to stick his nose out of the basket, before feeling a flake of snow hit him on the muzzle. WHat a lovely feeling indeed. He gave a small whinny before trying to stick himself out of the basket more. This was his kind of weather. He loved the night, he loved the cold, and most of all he loved the element that he had been born too. The cold, the ice.. the winter. Still, it was kind of held from being rightly enjoyed by the fact he was emprisoned.Alona: chuckled as the snow drifted around them. She didn't bother trying to reach for a snowflake. She was enjoyed the snowflakes just falling from the sky and surrounding her.
Kanti: felt better that Orchu wasn't as mad at her. She heard the commotion outside her basket and wondered what was going on. She wiggled around hopeing to get some attention to be told what was happening.Celendria: Stood mobile then and closed her eyes, entranced by the falling snow. "Do you hear it as it flits to the ground waltzing. The sound of winter as it slowly paints the entire land in glistening blankets on the trees and grass? It is the most beautiful thing that calls outward like a song. A haunting yet mystical song." she murmered as the breeze uplifted her mane b;owing it outward like a river of silken white. Pausing she stopped and opened her eyes. She scented the air and looked to the left of her. "Its another basket... like Kanti's."Orchu: noticed Kanti's basket wiggling violently amidst their new found gloring of catching snowflakes. Orchu walked over and nudged her basket softly. "Kanti it's snowing." He said breathlessly. Orchu listened to Celendria; absorbing her every word. "Wow..." He said speechless. "I've never related snowfall to being a song before.... That is a beautiful metaphor." Orchu smiled at Celendria. He frowned slightly as she mentioned another basket. He walked over to observe it. "Oh, I know that basket." He nipped gently at it. "Hey again you." Orchu shook his mane.King: Something was near, he could hear a strange voice, and he didn't know what to think. This wasn't the voice of before. It made strange sounds and it was higher than the other. Pulling his head in, Kinguyakkii drew away from the sound, makeing himself less of a target. Not that he could hide the basket he was in or anything, but how was he to know that? A moment later a more familiar sound came to him, as well as the motions that he had drawn to mean Orchu was out there. He still didn't move inside the basket though. The other was out there still, and he didn't know if that ment trouble or not.Palla: blinked and looked over at Orchu, another basket? He walked over to it, this one was more quiet than Kanti. Maybe it was afraid? "Whats this one's name? " He asked Orchu. Alona: listend to Celendria agreeing with her. She wondered where Cyrus was to hear this, she remembered that he like to eat the snow too.
Kanti: "What snow" Kanti asked out of curiosity, she had never heard of this thing called snow. "What does it like, does it have bright colors" she was very curious at what had caught their attention. Celendria: Walked over to the other basket inspecting it. "Hello in there...Are you alright?" she queried with nudge of her muzzle. "I won't harm you little one, I am one just like you." She bent her head down clasping the handle gently in her teeth. Pulling it along slowly she brought it back to where the others were. "Here we go... and there are others here so you are safe now. Won't you tell us your name?" she nickered with a thoughtful smile. Hearing Kanti she laughed quietly, "Snow is white...cold as ice. Very beautiful."Orchu: neighed lightly and tossed his mane. He snorted disdainfully as another breeze of freezing air cascaded over them. Orchu sighed heavily, "Snow is beautiful but I hate the cold. This frozen terrain is highly unpleasant." He swished his tail violently and rustled his wings. Orchu nuzzled Alona gently and stomped his front hoof against upon the snow.Celendria: Had somehow gotten a blanket of snow that had draped on her like a beautiful accessory. She lightly shook herself as it fell to the ground, some of it landing on Kanti's basket. Her head lifted upward as she heard the call of yet another Soquili. Lifting her own response to the wind she nodded her head with a loud whinny in greeting.Orchu: Orchu's ears swiveled as he heard ta familiar nicker. Orchu frowned slightly and looked at Alona who seemed the be deep in thought. "Was the Cyrus?" He asked her lightly. Orchu tilted his head and neighed. He waited impatiently; stomping his foot again he snorted. Orchu looked down at Kanti's basket. "Ice is frozen water."Cyrus' ears flickered back and forth listening for a sound. Then he heard it, he knew this nicker well. It was Alona. He then knew the other familiar scent was Orchu. He walked in the direction he heard the soft nicker. Soon he seen the gathered group. He nickered out again, his face had a somewhat hardened expression on as he walked up to them, his emerald eyes gleaming.Alona:"Yes it is Cyrus, Orchu" she said giving him another nuzzle. Alona greeted with a whinny. "Hello Cyrus," she gave him a large smile. His somewhat hardened expression threw her off, she was so use to him having a gently fave. His emerald eyes gleamed brightly that Alona gazed at them. She didn't know what else to say.
Kanti: Frozen water, Kanti thought. The outside world seemed odd, or at least very stranged to her. There was also a new voice. One had not heard before. She could tell Alona knew who he was, but she didn't. And Kanti had a knacked for wanting to be noticed.

Celendria meets Cyrus Celendria Sat Jan 07, 2006 The ice mare stood serenely over looking a small hollow beneath her. The wind was chilly but still held a wonderous aroma of the coming winter looming ahead. She thoght for a moment on what her friend had said last time they encountered one another. She paused flicking her long tail and looked to the east over her. With a snort and a toss of her beautiful head, she leapt to the air in a full gallop as she streaked across the ground. The air whiped past her as she picked up speed. She felt like an bird... she was truly flying. Cyrus was taking in fresh air as he trotted against the frosted ground. He watched the trees sway in the wind, it had overall been a good day. But then again it wasn't over. It was around noon and the sun was still shining. He flickered his tail as he watched his surroundings and listened to the song birds singing.Celendria: Reared her head up as she kept pace, her hair whiping backwards flowing as a river does. She let out a joyous whinny in spite of her quiet self. Her flaring nostrils intaking all the scents of the land around her. Catching onto a faint yet close one her ears pricked forward. "Alona?" her senses told her as she wondered why the scent wasn't too clear. Pausing to a slow canter she looked around searching for her friend. "Why can I not catch her scent that clearly?" she murmered coming to a complete stop.Cyrus: stopped to graze and arched his neck picking at the frozen grass. He had heard soft Soquili hooves thrashing the ground, he ignored it for the time being until they stopped adruptly and his ears flickered as he thought he heard someone say Alona. He quietly lifted his neck and looked around he walked in the direction curiously and soon found himself in the prescence of a very blue mare. "Hello." he said in his normal low voice, he flickered his tail curiously.Celendria: smiled in happiness though her heart feared what this new begining was like. She was born in the wintry cold, and walked in it as well. But what was the warmer seasons like? She swished her tail thinking even more so then before. "Can you tell me what these seasons are like? Praytell I feel like a yearling asking such things." she said with an embarrassed look upon her slender face.Celendria: blinked looking about the stallion whom had caught her attention. "Hello. Pardon me but have you seen Alona? I thought I caught her scent but am unsure now." she murmered as her eyes grew worried. Her ears perked forward realizing it was he whom she had sensed. "Wait a minute... You're Cyrus are you not?" she queried with a smile.Cyrus: "Alona?" His heart seemed to jump when he heard her name. He lsitened to her and realized she knew who he was but he had no idea who she was. "Yes, I am Cyrus." he smiled. "Do I know you from some where?" he asked curiously as he arched a brow. The ice mare shook her head as if she had forgotten something. "Oh I'm terribly sorry. I'm Celendria; Alona's friend." she nodded with a flick of her tail. 'I've been out for a run, which I agree with Alona is quite wonderful." she nodded with a smile as she babbled onward. Pausing she shook her head once more. "Err what I mean to say is congratulaions. I'm not a social type but I do try."Cyrus: "Oh, thanks." He assumed she was talking about him and Alona getting together. "So she was talking about us?" he smiled interestingly. He looked at the mare she seemed quite talkitive and very nice. He looked at her with his emerald eyes inquisitivly.Celendria: blinked for a second and contemplated her next query. "I was hoping she would be here. I've heard chatter circulate of course. Is it wrong of me to ask about you? Well I mean I haven't met you personally till now." she said with a smile.Cyrus: "No its fine." he beamed. "It's a pleasure to meet you Celendria." he slightly bowed his head. He looked back to her. "So what have you been doing on this beautiful day?" he asked trying to get a conversation going.Celendria: pondered of his query in deep thought. "Well I usually tend to just stare at the sky, its something I do for periods of a time. I'm always estatic to meet other Soquli as well.. hmm and the ones in the basket.. well that is facinating." she nodded with a soft laugh. Her tail swished back and forth as she breathed in the cold air. "Winter is approaching the plains once more.Cyrus: listened to her carefully, and intentivly. "I myself enjoy meeting new faces." he smiled, gently. "You should see when they get out of their baskets," he laughed. "The young ones are so, lively and rambunxious." He glanced at Celendria as she talked of winter, "How long have you been around here?" Celendria: beamed at the thought of seeing the irritable youngsters actually emerge from the confinments they grew within. She thought of Kanti and the other one she's found in the snowdrift. "I bet they are quite energetic after they get out of there." she whinied a silly laugh. Blinking she looked at him as her eyes seemed to shimmer. "I've been here close to a month now. I'm quite new to this land as I travel with winter as it continues its cycle. I can sense the cold as it calls out to me." she said as a pensive look washed over her eyes.Cyrus: listened to her and as he did he seemed to get confused. "So what will you do when the summer arrives here?" he implicated to the lands that they were now on. His eyes brightened as he started to go back on their conversation. It was very intriguing to him, Celendria had an appeal of spirit to him. It was as if she was conected with the winter not only mentally but spiritually. He tilted his head waiting for her reply.CelendriaThe ice mare giggled quietly wondering what Kanti looked like. And even the lone basket in the drift she'd found. Where there really foals within those baskets? How logical was that. "I can't wait to see what Kanti looks like. She's so energetic in that basket. Her mind fleeted temporarly thinking about his question. For a moment her eyes seemed to dim as if darkness had covered the glistening ice. "I don't know really. I've come to appreciate this land and those that roam within. In a sense I do not wish to leave." she nodded serenely, "I have never seen spring, summer, nor fall. But it will be strange when it does arrive. I wonder if I'll be able to hear the song that the cold sings everynight?"Cyrus: took notice on how devoted she was to the winter. He himself could not answer the question she asked. "I don't know but spring and fall are my favorites as well as first snowfall. Unfortunatly that has passed." he sighed. "This land has been my home for a long time and I wouldn't wish to leave it." The stallion smiled at his fond memories. Celendria: lifted her eyes to look at him, glistening once more they resembled gems set in blue stone. "I've met wonderful friends here, the grass is edible, and I've not felt like leaving. I think.." she paused briefly as she took a step forward towards the horizon, "I will stay and experience this new beginning of seasons. Traveling does get tiring to one whom is constantly on the move." she nodded as she returned to her stance taking to him. Cyrus: He smiled when she was said she was going to stay, "Well on to the behalf of your friends, Alona and myself, I believe that we will all appreciate you staying for this year." his emerald hued eyes gleamed. He hadn't met a Soquili who had traveled as much as her, he wondered if she had traveled when she was younger. Sometimes the weather in the winter was even to harsh for him to go outside. He flickered his tail as they conversed.Celendria: smiled in happiness though her heart feared what this new begining was like. She was born in the wintry cold, and walked in it as well. But what was the warmer seasons like? She swished her tail thinking even more so then before. "Can you tell me what these seasons are like? Praytell I feel like a yearling asking such things." she said with an embarrassed look upon her slender face.Cyrus: "It's quite alright, no need to feel embarrased." he noticed the look for that expression was upon his face most times. "For you it's quite necessary to know these things." he smiled comfertingly. "Each season has it's own beauty to each on of us. Everyone has a different oppinion. Spring is after winter so I'll start their. It's when everything starts to live again. Flowers bloom of all different colors. As many as you could imagine. The plains grow their green grass back. Trees grow their leaves back as well as their fruits, which are rather quite delicious. The sun comes back, warming the land." he beamed thinking of spring. "Then it is summer, where the sun is so hot you go to the lake and take refreshing swims. That is my favorite part, swimming. When you run the cool air feels the best when it is as hot as it gets. The wind sweeps the sweat from your brow. Then comes fall, the leaves loose their color and gain new. Ranging from reds, to golden and brown. Everything starts to die off as if going into hibernation, like bears do." He had encountered a bear once and it wasn't bad. It had just been roaming far off. Lily had told him about them. "After fall it is winter, and you know what that is like. If you ask a different Soquili they will tell you a different story about the seasons, but I hope I have helped you gain some information to tell on what it is like."Celendria: listened with great interest, mentally taking simple notes in her subconcious about the grasses being greener, the heat of summer, leaves falling around her feet. She just wished she could step forward without looking like an idiot youngling. Shaking her head she noticed a few small flakes fly past her in a little whirlwind. "I think past my naivety I will enjoy the seasons. I do hope to meet other Soquli as well." she tilted her head and looked at Cyrus, "What do you like about the winter season"?Cyrus:"The winter season?" he hadn't realized until now that he hadn't mentioned it. "I like the snow, the season in general it's all around beautiful. Lily's birthday was in the winter so was celebrate that aswell. She is my human bonded." he nodded. He heard a faint whistle. "Speaking of Lily that is her, I have to go now. Farewell." then he left.Celendria: listened quite happily as he spoke of the winter and snow. But when he mentioned "human" she blinked in curiousity. As he left she nodded happily and tossed her mane about sending a faewell whinny. "Human? Hmm that's a new one." she said softly, standing once more in the cold as it danced a thousand dazzling snowflakes around her. Suddenly, a wierd feeling rushed over Celendria. She felt alone and lonely, which was something that she'd never sensed nor felt before.

Celendria discovers a human and meets Spirit Sprite Celendria Sat Jan 14, 2006 Celendria: Traveled as the sharp wind flanked her sides sharply. The air was not frigid but surely it was not pleasent. She swilveled her ears and listened to the song that blew about her. The next season is approaching... it sang so sadly, as it played in her soft blue ears.
She frowned as she tossed her head back and forth. Though the melody was heartbreaking she had made her decision. Everyone she had met dwelled within this land. How could she leave them all behind. Lowering her head to the ground she broke off tender shoots of grass now growing through the patches of discipating snow.~*~ Celendria:Not far off there came a strange melody that seemed more fabricated then the wind's sad sorrowful song. Celendria perked her ears in curiousity yearning to follow the melody, seeking what it was. Her hooves sunk into the ground as it was softening. She continued to walk on till she found what her query had been.
There seated among the flowing stream sat a creature the ice mare had never gazed upon before. To her it was the strangest thing she'd ever seen, well next to baskets that is. Whickering softly she stood.
A young girl played her flute as the mare watched her in curiousity. She was one with nature as she continued her soft melody as it carried in the wind, unaware she had a visitor watching her.Celendria: Watched the girl closely wondering if this was a "human" Cyrus had mentioned when they had talked. From what she gathered humans were friens of the Soquili. And this one seemed to play such a beautiful song. Whickering again she made it louder this time. Hopefully she wasn't jesting herself being foolish.
Tirranna: Ceased her flute melody as she heard the ice mare's whinny. She smiled softly as she laid her eyes upon such a gorgeous mare. "Like winter snow and ice." she beamed happily. "Sky and earth woven into Gaia." She sat there deciding to let the mare come to her first. This was a wild creature, so it was best to gain trust as she was taught in her tribe.Cyrus: pondered at what to do on this bright day. The sun paticularly was blinding him. He felt spring coming and it made him even more joyful then when fall began. He couldn't wait to see the valley's grass turn green once more and the sky be filled with fluffy white clouds as well as the trees leaves starting to bud. He walked smiling to himself, wondering aimlessly.
Celendria: Felt confused in her wildness as she felt she should run for some reason. But, something was drawing her to this girl that sat so still. Why had she stopped the melody? Tilting her head she edged further as her shining hooves sunk into the ground mingled with partial snow. Her muzzle working into another whinny as it lied within her elegant throat.
Tirrana: Had noticed the mare's hesitation as it dawned on her to play her flute for the shy creature. Placing the insturment to her lips she began her melody once more in hopes of getting the ice mare closer this time.
Cyrus: heard something that he had never once heard before. Some whisteling noise? He followed it into the trees when he caught a familiar scent. "Celendria?" he followed it further and found that it was her. He looked over and seen a two legger. "What are you doing?" the ebony stallion asked when he emerged from the trees.
Celendria: Seemed hypnotized by the melody walking ever so slowly toward it. Upon hearing a familiar deep voice she nearly jumped back two paces when Cyrus acknowledged her. "Cyrus. Hello there. I umm.. well.. What was I doing?" she mumbled trying to regain her thoughts past the melody that intriged her.
Tirranna: Noticed the black ebony stallion that had approached the ice mare. She sat quietly now waiting to see what either would do. For her chance to see the Soquili was like a dream come true.
Cyrus: He looked at the two legger curiously and her thing she had been playing. He glanced back to Celendria to regain her thoughts and reply to his question. He flickered his tail, anxiously. He didn't trust the two leggers easily. He watched the two of them and wondered if that was Celendria's bonded. He didn't think it would be since she traveled all the time, well did travel. He could sill think it was...
Celendria: Looked a bit abashed that she felt so unbalanced. "What is that creature Cyrus?" she asked with an odd sounding inquisitive voice. "I know it is not Soquili for she does not look like us. Pardon my inquisitiveness but I've never seen one before." she nodded with a faint smile. Her silvery white tail flicked back and forth brushing her haunches with a light tickle.
Spirit Sprite: wandered upon a somewhat familiar scene, for him at least. There were two Soquili and a two-legger in the area, although the expression on the two-legger's face wasn't what he was used to seeing. It looked to him like she was waiting for something. He glanced over at the two Soquili, then took a couple steps forward, accidentally stepping on and snapping a twig under his hooves.
Celendria: Noticed another stallion approach. He wasn't one of the others she had encountered before. Nodding her head she whickered a greeting. Her soft aqua eyes still entriged by that strange melody.
Cyrus: "It's a two legger. I think they call themselves humans? We have bonded who takes care of them, when they are foals most of the time. Some times they get them later if the Soquili enjoys there compay enough. My bonded name is Lily. However, you can trust all of them. Some of them have been known to bad things." he added as he talked about the things he knew of Lily's kind.
Spirit Sprite: nickered a greeting to the mare and other stallion, then nickered a bit and headed in the human's direction, taking slow, cautious steps. Since he had been raised around humans, he wasn't really afraid of them, personally, but he didn't want her to think he would hurt her.
Celendria: Nodded as she listened to Cyrus. Her ears swiveling toward the new stallion and what he was....walking up bravely to the two-legger. She pondered for a moment of what Cyrus had mentioned. "Bad and good... hmm.." she said softly as she continued to watch the newcomer near closer.
Tirranna: Stood up slowly as the stallion appraoched her gingerely. She clicked her tongue in soft moments and smiled warmly at the brave one. Hoping the other two would come as well she began to play her flute once more.
Spirit Sprite: nickered a bit more and stopped beside the human, lowering his head while sniffing the air gingerly near her. His ears flicked slightly, then perked in her direction as she clicked her tongue at him.
Celendria: Turned her head to look at Cyrus as the melody was playing again. She wanted to get closer but she was afraid. It wasn't a naive feeling either. It was more of an age olde routine that flowed through wild creatures since time began. But, the other stallion went up to her as if trust wasn't an issue.
Tirranna: Then reached out her slender copper arms to touch upon the velvety muzzle of the stallion. At least one had made an attempt to say hello. The others were both very much wild and headstrong, though the mare held curiousity in the way her ears swiveled this way and that. Not to mention how intenly she watched the scene below her.
Cyrus: looked over and a stallion had appeared. He watched it curiously as he neared the two legger. He had more eartly toned colors like himself, unlike Settia or Celendria. "Hello," he greeted Spirit Sprite.
Spirit Sprite looked up at Cyrus, then nickered a greeting back to him, then turned his attention back to the two-legger and gently nuzzled her hand. He looked over at the other two again, then tilted his head to the side, as if waiting for the human to do something else.
Celendria: Still felt the pull toward the two-legger. Strange as it was she felt a sense of peace from the music. She whinnied to the other stallion whom was different from those she had met. Intrigued by the other's boldness she uttered a strange whinny. "What is he doing?" she asked Cyrus with a flick of her blue velvet ears.
Tirranna: Gently touched his muzzle and smiled in spite of herself. Then she pondered something that could possibly bring the other two closer. Reaching in her pocket she pulled out a shiny winter apple. It was so red in color that it looked quite delicious to say the least. She then held out the fruit for Spirit Sprite. An offering of friendship.
Cyrus: looked at Celendria, "Now how am I suppose to know what he's doing? Your guess is as good as mine." he smiled as he said these words smoothly and not hurtingly or sarcastically. He tilted his head at the apple. He hadn't had an apple in forever, his mind boggled at it.
Celendria: Blinked and realized her query was a bit much for Cyrus was no mind reader. The apple however looked interesting as she had passed similar ones before. They were delicious and very sweet when picked at the right time in the winter season. A gust of wind blew past her this time nipping her fetlocks. The wind was angry she did not listen to its mournful song. She pulled her ears back and looked to the sky. Where had the sun gone?

Celendria learns what consequence is Celendria Mon Jan 16, 2006 Celendria: A silken mare born of ice and snow stood on a horizon inhaling the cold wind as it blew through her long mane. She could sense winter preparing for its long departure come two to three months. Though slightly intimidated at the thought of staying behind, she wanted to stay and be with the ones she had befriended. Perking her ears she listened to the sounds of the land around her. Placid and serene she stood like a statue.Shaylee: A flutter of wings set a new face upon the lands where the Soquli roamed. She was so gleeful and happy as she decended not too far from Celendria. A nod and flick of her tail she trotted toward the ice mare with a great big "Hellooooooooo".
Celendria: Blinked and stood there watching this strange Soquili whom carried not feathery wings but more so thin transparent ones. She nodded quietly and smiled as her eyes lay behind her sivery forelock.Shaylee: Looked at the ice mare then down at the others. Her delicate legs danced like a small foal. "Please introduce me Celendria.. would you?" she queried with a nod fluttering her transparent wings that they sparkled in the beaming sunlight. "Race ya."
Celendria: Smiled quietly and nodded in acceptance. With a toss of her head she reared upward releasing her greeting to the others. Then with a toss of her head she took off down the large hill, galloping with all she had. The wind sang to her like a lullaby as she raced downward. Knowing full well Shaylee wasn't too far behind.Shaylee biggrin elicate as the wind on a summerday little Shaylee was pulling ahead of the ice mare. Her little neck was outstretched as she seemed to be a blur among the larger blue furred mare. A giggle erupted from her throat as she noticed the ice coming closer. "Lets have some real fun Celendria!" she called back.
The ice mare pulled herself out further so she could try and keep up with the flutter. The ice though looming in front of her gave much worry. It was not known in a good sense that ice and shining hooves do not go well together. Still she threw caution to the wind as the wind pushed her, guiding her to her impending caution that was wating for them.Shaylee: was the first to make contact with the icy surface. Using her wings she balennced herself as she slide quickly over it. Giggling she looked over her shoulder as Celendria went upon the ice, her face truly priceless as her blue mare's terrified whinny rose above the sounds around them.
Celendria: Tried to slow down as she hit the ice unbalanced. Sliding like a foal on her first steps she fought to regain her balance. Though shifting her weight sent her into a twirl of many times upon the ice. She closed her eyes as she spun feeling quite dizzy and unaware where she was anymore.Shaylee: Fluttered her wings causing her to do a twirtl on the ice, though much more reformed than her competitor. She giggled and laughed so hard her head shook from side to side. "Aww come on Celendria.. open your eyes and enjoy yourself." she teased as she came to a complete stop upon the shimmering solid surface.
Celendria: Reached out with her hooves to no avail. At least the spinning stopped when she came to a complete halt upon the middle of the ice. Slowly the ice mare opened her eyes and breathed with much intensity that she was stuck. If she moved slightly she was going to fall. Frowing she looked at the surface than back to shaylee. "Why did I listen to you?"Shaylee: Frowned at Celendria whom looked quite perplexed standing on the ice. She fluttered her way over smiling with a bit of apology. "Tell you what.. won't make you do that anymore. Here lean against me and I'll get you to more.. solid land, kay?" she whickered as she leaned against the irritable mare. "Hey I know.. lets go eat some sugarplums."
Celendria: Felt ashamed she was too carefree as she walked slowly back to the bank where the footing was much more stable. Her head was dizzy and her legs felt like jello. "Never again Shaylee. There are much more fun games to do, I'm sure." Pulling herself on the bank she shook the numbness from her body and stretched. "Sure. I think a sugarplum might just help. Lead the way." she nodded with a bleak smile. "Oh and Shaylee... no more ice folies."

Celendria Meets Chepi: A new friend Celendria Weds Jan 26, 2006 Celendria: Walked in the freshly fallen snow thinking about a certain stallion whose winged grace nearly sucked the breath out of her. She paused and closed her eyes thinking how wonderful it would be to see him once more.Chepi: With a soft sigh Chepi rounded the base of a hill kicking her feet. She was tall and lanky for her age, taller than most of the females and even rivaling some of the males. Her long ebony tresses trailed behind her and two loops framed her slender cheeks. She raised her kind brown eyes and glanced up spotting something far off towards the horizon.
Squinting a bit she put her hand up to block her eyes against the sun..it looked blue. Yes..something big and blue. She blinked slightly and bit her bottom lip. Slowly she approched the blue mass in the distance, curious to see what it was. Celendria: Re-opened her eyes and sighed heavily. She wanted to hear that brush of air caused by wings as they fluttered on Euphoria's back. Shaking her head she tried focusing on things around her. The wind spoke in such soothing tones as it sang its harmonious lullaby. Such was the progression of winter and all its splendor.
A distant sound like a faint crunching noise caught her senses. Something or someone was approaching her. Blue velvet ears swiveled toward the creature to catch every simple sound it made. Though in a distance, the mare recognized a two-legger finally. Her tail swished back and forth as she observed the human. She was ready to bolt if need be. But her wisdom told her to stand perfectly still and wait.Chepi: Slowly and with caution Chepi stepped forward. It was a Horse before her against the horizon. A smile pulled at the corner of her lips as she watched the mare. 'she knows im here.' she thought to herself. Standing as still as the mare, she caught her breath in her chest for fear that even her breath would some how mar this magical moment.
The wind slowly swept across the plains, toying and whipping her long ebony locks around her face to fan out behind her. She only watched the horse before her. The coloring was beautiful, it reminded her of somthing she could barely place her finger on.
Smiling fully, her lungs close to bursting she finally exhailed and closed her eyes. Opening them very slowly for fear the dream of this beast had ended. Yet.. there it stood.. No illusion or dream was this. The blue mare was as real as she was. Celendria: Stood there as still as a statue as she gazed at the human female. Her breath inhaled and released in the cold wintery air causing white vapor to appear then disappear. The mare's deep eyes peered out of her long silvery forelock taking in everything they could of her visitor.
Her mind pondered many things of Cyrus saying two-leggers could be bad but not all. And the large white stallion walking up to the other that played a strange melody on a foreign object. Her muzzle twitched as she stood silent. What would this creature do she wondered?Chepi: Again she held her breath as the Mare turned her way to watch her, her long silvery mane flowing over her blue fur like silk. Such a sight to behold.. was this a blessing? An Omen.. Perhaps this was a spirit of the earth..but why here, now? Yet again one doesnt make a habit of questioning the spirts.
Slowly Chepi tilted her head to the right, staying stock still but for that gentle movment. Gathering courage as each second passes she slowly spoke, lowly and respectively to the beautiful mare before her. "Greetings, Blue one." Celendria: Swiveled her ears to listen intuitivly to the girl as she had made a strange noise that escaped from her mouth. The mare tilted her head slowly as if trying to comprehend that this girl was communicating to her. Though it sounded strange to the frost mare.
She swished her tail and pondered some more. "That other female had apples like from the mountains. Hmm the ones she gave to the other stallion." she nickered with wonderment. Feeling no threat the frost mare whickered her own greeting to Chepi. She was curious about this girl for only once had she caught sight of another relating to her kind.Chepi: smiled with glee as the mare tilted her head and then whinnied in greeting. "There now...where you scared of little me?" she asked in a soothing tone. A small chuckled escaped her and as if a sudden thought reached her eyes away from the snowy mare and to the pack at her side. The horse wouldnt like jerky...she had a bit of corn and two apples.
With an almost triumphant laugh she pulled the apple from her pouch and looked up at the Mare again. She took a small step forward, and showed the mare the apple. Following this action by making encouraging clicking noises that one often uses when trying to comunicate with animals.
However...she only got the feeling she was making a spectical of herself and smirked. She didnt want to throw the apple to the mare, for risking to fighten her away. Chepi would wrather enjoy the company of the blue mare as long as Possable. "I suppose you'll have to trust me, if you want the apple that is." She smiled and held her hand out, palm flat to the mare..the apple just waiting to be taken. Celendria: Watched the girl as she was looking for something, more like rumaging in whatever the thing was. She whickered to herself standing there, wondering if it was smart of her to be curious of a two-legger. Looking at the girl's legs the mare realized why the phrase was used. "Ah I see why they are two-leggers. But I think human fits her better in my opinion." she whickered softly just above a whisper as she laughed to herself.
Continuing her vigil of what the female was doing, Celendria noticed the apple. Her mouth salivated heavily at the sight of this. Winter apples were wonderful and tasty. Not to mention they were hard to reach in most places. Her mouth moved with the delight of seeing an apple causing her to stay focused.
As the girl reached outward with the thing that entranced the frost mare, Celendria felt a bit strange. Here was this delicious creation being offered yet she was hesitant to accept it.Chepi: watched the mare and knew she had her full attention with the apple. The cold winter air brushed over her and she sucked in a breath. It was getting colder out, but she didnt want to leave just yet. There would still be plenty of time to get back to the village with daylight to spare.
She smiled and seeing the mare's hesitance bent down slowly, careful not to make haist. "Here you go.. No need to force you." she said and she tossed the apple gently to the mare.
The apple jumped and rolled and slowly came to a stop a few feet in front of the blue mare's hooves. Celendria: Fliched as the apple rolled towards her feet. A startled whinny escaped her throat as her forlock revealed to perfect teal orbs that now shined with surprise. She had a notion to turn and gallop away, but the apple taunted her. Lowering her head she nosed it with her muzzle. Nothing happened as she did this. And oh the smell of the apple was too much in itself. Giving into temptation she bit into the apple and chewed happliy. How long it had been since she had tasted one of these.
Intently she watched the girl as she took another bite. Her nickers in approval of the offering to her. Soon she had devoured the delectable fruit, her mouth fully satisfied. Gazing at Chepi her eyes seemed quite alluring as they mimiced her glossy blue coat. Then without hesitation she stepped forward. As her curiousity was getting the better of her of this creature called a human.A giggles escaped her as she watched the mare. She covered her mouth with her hand dispite herself. "Im sorry. I didnt mean to startle you." she said through a laugh. She shook her head softly, the twin loops that rested against her cheeks lightly swaying as she watched the blue mare.
Those teal orbs seemed to entrance her as they watched her through the sea of silver mane. Again Chepi found herself standing still and watching the blue horse intently. A Gasp escaped her slightly purple lips as the mare took a step closer. She smiled as she watched her, the cold wind washing over her again, this time causing her to shiver lightly.
Slowly, as not to cause a sudden movement and spook the mare she pulled her shawl tighter over her shoulders. When she got back to her teepee she would have to dig around and find her winter furs. She was dressing too lightly for the cold weather. Spirit Sprite: poked his head out of the bushes nearest him, hearing voices nearby. He blinked, watching the ice blue soquili he had met a few days ago walking close to a human girl and nickered slightly, taking a small step out of concealment. Celendria: Paused in her movement closer to Chepi. The girl's way of communicating was odd yet soothing to her velvety ears. She then noticed the cold had started to settle in with brisk bites of air as it traveled rapidly past them. In those wondering eyes, Celendria noticed the human was not imune to such weather as she was. She perked her ears and took another step, her gaze never leaving the young girl.
Be it the thought of foals, or others whom could not tolerate the cold, she stepped fully till she was but a touch away from Chepi. Her breath continued in rapid pulses feeling a strange intensity in what she was doing. Lowering her head she reached out to nuzzle Chepi. In her heart winter was her own blanket of warmth, but others around her were different. In thankfulness she kept her head bowed, so the girl could pet her. Perhaps her warmth would soothe the other that was more open to the cold itself.
Her ears perked to the sound of another Soquili. But yet she stayed with her head lowered.Chepi's eyes went wide as the blue mare gently nuzzles against her. Her heart seemed to skip a beat and she smiled looking down and gently stroking her fingers across the velvet soft fur. Her finger tips grazed down her muzzle and up into her forlock where she gave the mare an affectionate scratch, ever so gently.
The fur was cool against her finger tips for but a moment before she felt the warmth of the mare under her skin. She was truely flesh and blood before her, yet there was something other wordly about this mare. "I'm glad you're not so scared of me anymore...nor I you." she added as an afterthought, a small chuckle following.
Her hand rested against the smooth fur of the mares forhead, and she looked into those deep entracing pools of teal. Yet..something else caught her attention, a rustling of branches an a hoove step? Blinking she turned her gaze away from those teal eyes and tried to locate the sorce. Was there another horse about like this one? Spirit Sprite: nickered again softly and took a few steps closer, walking around so the human could see him. His ears perked forward in interest, not of the food the human had had earlier, but because he too, wanted to be patted, but wasn't sure how to go about getting it from a human not like his own. He nickered again, fidgeting about uncertainly before tossing his head and walking closer. He stopped a few feet away and watched Celendria and the human.Celendria: Whickered ever so appreciatively that this girl was not a threat. That her touch was rather soothing as it relaxed the mare. She snorted lightly as her nickers were soft and serene. It felt rather nice to befriend this human female in her opinion. Course she couldn't wait to tell Alona and the others about this encounter.
Finally she raised her head and noticed the other white stallion she'd met before. "Greetings. I didn't get your name last time. I am Celendria." she whickered to Spirit Sprite. Her head nodding toward him.Appearing over the ridge there came a teal colored fox. His muzzle spouting wonderful angy comments. "Where is she now? Why can't that girl stay in one place. How am I to watch over her like this?" the fox mumbled inchoherently as he stopped dead center noticing the others.Spirit Sprite: pawed the earth for a moment, as if considering what Celendria were saying. "I'm Spirit Sprite." He nickered back, then walked the last few feet towards the human and lowered his head as well, attempting to gently nudge her shoulder for attention.
Tania: growled low as she jumped out of the bushes behind Spirit Sprite, her mountain lion tail swishing behind her before she raced up behind him and leapt up, swiping at his tail playfully. Chepi: turned her head to address the second whinny. She smiled as she saw the male, his fur a mix of browns and whites. However normal his coloring was, she again got the impression that there was something special about him. She met his gaze with a polite smile. "Hello there." she said in her soothing tone.
Her finger tips lightly caresses against the icy blue brow of the mare. She felt much calmer having touched her and come to terms with her. Perhaps these where the horses she'd often heard stories about... Her expression turned thoughtful as her finger tips grazes against the soft blue fur beneath the waves of silver silk.
For the third time this evening a started expression crossed Chepi's face as now a fox wandered into their midsts. "so many animals are out today." she said with a soft chuckle, perfectly amused by all of this. Celendria: Smiled and backed away a bit to let Spirit Sprite get his own muzzle petted and scratched. She rather liked the attention but also was a very respectable mare in her own regard. She was quite content that this day had turned out so interesting.
Perking her ears yet again she noticed Everly standing as still as a rock when he had caught sight of them. Her eyes furrowed as she looked to the sky then back to Everly. "She took off again didn't she?" Celendria queried with a frown. The mare knew the fox was always trying to do his job, but Shaylee was more like the winter gusts of wind. One moment they were there, the next they were gone.
The fox looked at Celendria and nodded, "Always. Can't ever keep up with her." he sighed and looked at the little gathering. The fox fidgited and nodded. "Catch you later. Oh if you see her keep her here till I come back around please." he mumbled then darted off back over the ridge. With a Giggle Chepi's free hand pattes against the males chest before she gave him his own scritch on the brow. "affectionate beasts when you want to be arnt you?" she said with a laugh. This day had turned out to be quite magical in many respects. She sighed happily as her fingers caresses each horse in turn.
The blue mare seemed to have a differnt feel to her, a cool caress to every touch perhaps? She couldnt rightly put her finger on what exactly felt differnt about her, she only knew that both of these horses where very special.
With a quizzical expression she watched as the fox trotted away.. she almost thought for a moment that the blue mare and the teal fox had exchanged words... or a general understanding before the fox raced off once more. How odd...Spirit Sprite: looked over at Celendria again, then nickered, letting her know she can still be close, since she found the human first. "Two of us being here might help keep her a bit warmer." He said, noticing how cold it would be for the two-legger. "Tania, knock it off. My tail isn't a chew toy." He nickered over his shoulder at the cub, who of course ignored him and leapt up at his tail again.Zipping across the sky like a purple shooting star there echoed a wild whinny. Zooming in and out of the leaves that blew about in the wind, Shaylee giggled in pure delight. With no holds barred she dipped closer to the ground like a ballerina fluttering her large wings. "Hellooooooooooo Celendria." she called out with a gleeful innocent greeting.
The ice mare nodded to Sprirt Spite and moved back in closer to Chepi. She whickered and swished her tail as her large body blocked the cold that nibbled relentlessly at their human friend.
Raising her head she caught the whinny of Shaylee and sighed. "Shaylee Everly is looking for you." she scolded with a discerened firm nod of her delicate head. "You shouldn't put him through so much." she watched the hyper naive flutter with an angry expression, yet it was melting away to a silly smile at the flutter's antics. With a Giggle Chepi's finger tips lightly scratches against the males chest, knowing this was a hard place for horses to get scratched with out aid. The finger tips of her other hand lightly slid down the icy mare's neck and over her front flank, taking note of the firm muscles of eat horse. The winter cold wasnt putting these two out, which she was happy to see.
Pausing for just a moment her brushes a few locks of her raven hair from her brown eyes. It was then that she noticed the zipping purple flash of yet a thrid horse. Blinking in her stunned fashion she watched as the purple mare flew threw the air upon delicate butterfly wings. Her jaw fell agape as she watched the free spirited horse glide through the icy winds. "Oh my." she muttered in disbelief. She couldnt believe her encounter today. Such luck that she would meet not only one.. but three outstanding unearthly horses. Spirit Sprite's eyes half-closed as he sighed in contentment, allowing the human to scratch him as she pleased. His short tail flicked a couple times, then went still. His ears jerked up at the sound of something flying above him and he tossed his head up, tilting it so he could see above him. He'd never actually seen another Soquili fly before! He snorted somewhat in shock, ears flicking in every possible direction before flicking back towards the human. He nudged her cold cheek with his muzzle, as if trying to share his warmth with her.Everly: Bounded back into the view once more panting heavily, "There you are. Shaylee so help me." he muttered as his bushy tail flicked in annoyance at her. "One of these days.." he growled as he chased after her.
Shaylee: Looked at Chepi and giggled with a whinny then shot back into the sky dodging leaves once more. Then if one were to blink she had vanished as fast as she had made herself apparent in her child-like nature.
Celendria: Shook her head as she stifled a laugh in spite of herself. "Everly was right. One of these days Shaylee was going to get herself in a fix she can't handle." she mimicked happily. As the winds grew sharper she looked at Sprit Sprite with a frown, "Though I'd love to stay and converse even more, I must be heading inward out of the sharper chills. I do hope you can help this human to a warmer place."
She stood for a moment then, smaling at Chepi with her teal orbs, thanking her for such a wonderful experience. Then with a nod to Spirit sprite and Chepi, she galloped away like a flash of the winter wind. Her gait smooth and perfected as her mane and tail streamed like a raging white river as she disappeared over the ridge Everly and Shaylee had traveled over.Chepi: watches quietly at the icy mare dismissed herself, she nodded slowly as she turned to sprint away into the fading light of day. "Thank you." she whispered to herself. Her eyes turned to the sky, but the feelting purple streak of a horse was gone. She chuckles and turnes to the male. running her fingers through his mane for a moment. "Thank you too... you all will never know how.. this first encounter with you has colored my life." she smiled brightly and patted his front flank. "take care."
With that she herself turned to leave, she was cold and wished desperately to be by the warmth of a fire wrapped into her warm soft furs.Spirit Sprite: and Tania both dimly heard their own human whistling for them to come home. Giving Chepi an apologetic nudge, the soquili turned and raced off, his mountain lion cub racing shortly after him.

How odd...Spirit Sprite looked over at Celendria again, then nickered, letting her know she can still be close, since she found the human first.
Her gait smooth and perfected as her mane and tail streamed like a raging white river as she disappeared over the ridge Everly and Shaylee had traveled over.Chepi watches quietly at the icy mare dismissed herself, she nodded slowly as she turned to sprint away into the fading light of day.
With that she herself turned to leave, she was cold and wished desperately to be by the warmth of a fire wrapped into her warm soft furs.Spirit Sprite and Tania both dimly heard their own human whistling for them to come home. Giving Chepi an apologetic nudge, the soquili turned and raced off, his mountain lion cub racing shortly after him.

A meeting with Dyami and Chepi... and that crazy Flutter Celendria Wed Jan 25, 2006 Celendria: Galloped swiftly over the fresh fallen snow, her coat gleaming like a becon in the sun. She whinied happily at things coming and going in her life, and could be no more content then she was. Her slender legs carried her so smooth, as her gait widened. "It's was so wonderful" she thought merrily, "So many things that just whirl into my life." Gleeing happily she kicked up her heels and continued onward.
Shaylee: was flitting back and forth, her thin membrane wings shimmering as she zipped in and out of clouds. Looking downward she spotted a certain mare she knew. With a childish whinny she zoomed down toward the blue mare. "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo" she called out as she dived even faster toward the racing mare.
Everly: panted as he followed Shaylee. His little heart practically beating out of his chest.Dyami was ofcourse wondering around adn thinking of his mate whom he missed everytime he was not with her. he soundly heared a whine, and some chatter going on not far from him. following the sound with some couriousity he found, that he come to see 2 soquili and a fox racing. he wondered why they would be doing that and shrug. he raced on after them since he rarly meets anyone new and whinied at them. This time as she walked through the quiet snow swept feilds, Chepi was dressed much better for the occasion. Warm furs wrapped around her shoulders, and simple dress made in a simmilar fasion hugged against her legs. Her feet where adorned in warm fur lined boots. The snow and chilly air did little to her now.
As she walked along the sound of thundering hooves seemed to echo back over the frozan land scape. Brushing away a few strands of raven hair she gazed into the horizon, trying to pick out the sorce. Perhaps that Icy mare she met yesterday was about... but it sounded like there where more than one..much more in fact.
Lightly she bit her bottom lip and trecked onward, towards the sound of the beating hoves against the snow. Celendria: Galloped with sheer happiness as she looked to the sky. A purple blur was diving straight for her. She shrilled, pausing mid gallop to rear upward as the blur zoomed past her. The ice mare snorted quite annoyed then caught the attention of another thundering toward them. She shook her head as she also noticed poor Everly panting as the fox ran up to them, his eyes crossed and angry.
Shaylee: Giggled as she pranced after a perfect 10.0 landing on her scale. She tossed her head back and forth continuing to beam her odd little child-like giddyness. "Guess what Celendria? I think I'm in love." she nickered with a squeal. Looking over she noticed the cross eyes on her familiar. "Hello Everly. How are you today?" she said with a sweet little wink to him.
Everly: Sat there panting as he rubbed his left ear with his paw. "Stay away from the trees next time. Ow." he muttered feelin a bump on his forehead from the colision with the tree aways back.Dyami having finaly catching up to them, came up to them." ello there, and who might you three be?" he smilied politly wonderign what they where up to in these parts. he also noctied the fox seemed to have a bumped and asked." err is the little fox there ok?"As she walked on through the frozen, wind swept valley Chepi could only smile as before her, yet off in the distance she saw again the framilure spot of blue, which could only be the icy mare. And beside her, with frail wings like a butterfly stood the horse she'd seen only fleetingly before. When the purple one stood still she really was a dazzing sight.
At first she didnt see the male, his white coat blending into the snow, yet the hues of red and green suddenly mad him stand out plain as day. Chepi could only smile as she approched the horses, and the little fox.
Pausing for a moment she dg into her pouch at her side... and with a small laugh produced another winter apple. With a deft toss she threw it into the air and sent it sailing towards the icy mare.
The apple thudded into the snow, hopped once and rolled to a stop in the middle of the fair of creatures. Celendria: Nodded to Dyami with a distinct smile and respect. "Hello Dyami. I am Celendria, this little flutter here is Shaylee, and the poor injured fox is Everly." she nickered with an occasional swish of her tail. Pondering his query she replied once more in a soft yet serene tone, "I am from the mountains as are these two. But we occasionally come here to visit other Soquili." She sighed contentedly and thought of Euphoria.
As something touched her shimmering hooves she looked down to investigate it. There lay an apple, a winter apple. She smiled and rached down to pick it up in her teeth. As she did so she stopped and looked upward at the human she had befriended the night before. Nodding her head she seemed to say thank you as she ate the apple.
Dyami smilied." i see, then if your from the mountians i bet you know Catori." he noticed the apple fall and land next to and noticed a human he never saw. he shook his head." oh and i almost forgot, my names Dyami." he turned to Shaylee and chuckle." heyas too." smiling at the fox." i see."
Chepi giggled as she wacthed the blue mare eat the apple, she seemed rather pleased to have recived such a gift again. And Chepi thought it a fitting way to make her enterance to the little group.
She walked forward slowly, careful not to step into a deep drift of snow. "greetings again" she said softly and nodded her head to the icy mare. Her deep brown eyes glanced and the purple horse and she smiled. "You're prettier up close than a far. " The purple horse seemed to be very hyper, perhaps she'd found a stash of sugar?
Her eyes drfted to the male and she inclined her head to him as well. "hello there...and to you as well little one." she said, adressing the fox to her left. Having made propor introduction to each of the animals she smiled and produced a handfull of sugar cubes.. not that she thought the flutter could use anymore.
Celendria: Smiled as the human approached all of them. Her ears flicking back and forth catching every sound Chepi made. Her voice was very gentle and soothing to the blue mare's ears. Looking over to the flutter she nodded thoughtfully, "Yes Shaylee I heard you, I was just being polite to Dyami in introduction." she said with a soft smile turning with a wink. "And who are you in love with may I be inclined to ask?" She looked at Dyami and smiled once more, "Yes I know Catori. She lives up where I do.
Shaylee: Tossed her head blushing frantically. "Well he's not, I mean I'm not, I mean well i just met him today.. that's all. His name is Azure and well he's a flutter like me." she giggled as she blushed. "Oh yeah I met a Kalona too. She's got wicked wings I tell you." She pranced about fluttering her large butterfly-like wings when she smelt the aroma of sugar cubes. "OOh what's that? hmm looks yummy."
Dyami smilied." ohh i see, well im glad theres someone there with her, and that she's not by herself." he winked." she's kind of like a sister to me sometimes." he chuckled as Shaylee we being all hyper. he noticed the human got closer and had some sugar cubes. oh the one thing that always got him was sugar cubes. he gave the human a little nudge as he snuck a sugar cube happly.
Chepi couldnt help but giggle as the horses came around here following the lure of the sugar. After handing out a few lumps to each, and getting affectionate pats she had to tear herself away. "Im sorry I cant stay long today." she said, with an ache of sadness in her voice.
"I shall see you all again soon, im sure." she smiles and gave each one last cube before walking away back towawrds the village. She'd already been gone longer than she'd expected...
Celendria: Listened to Dyami and nodded once again, "Ah yes. Now that you mention it I have heard your name before from her." she smiled quite happily. Turning to Shaylee she smirked and winked back, "Perhaps you will find happiness then if you spend more time with him."
Munching on a sugarcube she frowned as the human departed. Her whinny long and soothing called out to Chepi. Nodding to Dyami she closed her eyes," I must depart now for night is setting in. I will tell Catori you asked about her though. Good day to you."
Dyami smile." sounds good and maybe i will see you again sometime. he stood and watched as the human, Celendria, Shayleee, and the fox departed.

Celendria meets Rowanoak Celendria Sat Jan 28, 2006 Celendria: Tossed her head as she stood quiet as always a top the ridge she loved standing upon. Her senses tuned with the winter and everything surrounding it. Her mind drifted to the thoughts of the silly human she'd befriended, whom was stubborn about staying safe. A whicker escaped her throat that almost sounded slightly like a laugh. Humans were strange creatures, she agreed on that one.Rowanoak is traveling back from meeting Intrepid on the beach...she can't leave the baskets for two long. She hopes they grow soon, so they can accompany her...they're rather tiresome now, to look after. She's used to a little more excitement from life, having to be patient is wearing thin on her nerves.
She jogs across the snow in the field below the ridge, her tasmanian tiger stripes standing out easily against the whites and blues, her breath coming out in a little chuff everytime she exhales. But she stops, suddenly, a little wild-eyed, as a nicker sounds through the air. It's not one she knows...in a minute, Rowanoak is looking up, to spot Celendria on the ridge. The little dark green and black basket sat nestled against a tree not too far away from where the others were. It moved slightly as the small foal inside of it sat impatiently wanting to be released from its prison. Small whinning noises and grunts could be heard comeing from inside. The foal took a deep breath then sighed heavily. She could tell it wasn't all that warm outside and staying in her basket was a good thing. But she wanted to get out and explore because she was tired of being inside the basket. She wanted to meet other Soquili and possibly make some new friends. Her little ears perked to the sounds of the others and she whinnied a bit louder in hopes that someone would come over and atleast notice her basket.Chepi's leg was still bothering her, but it wasnt as bad as she had thought. She could put pressuer on it now, and walk at a good pace, and that was better than being stuck in the village. She had set out early that morning in search of the winter apples, although with the snow and recent wings and gales she was sure most where ruined by now.
The tall woman sighed and swept a few strands of raven hair from her eyes as she looked around the snow swept valley. Un doubltably she was more careful today than she had been lately, paying close attention to the snow banks and where she was putting her feet. It was for this reason that she noticed the basket tucked away beside a tree. Blinking she tilted her head and knelt beside the tree. Her fingers brushed attop the weaving on the lid and with a start she fell back against the trunk as it moved. "Oh my!" she eclaimed, and laughed a bit to herself.
She had heard tale of these baskets, with the new born babies too weak to face the world put inside. Yet..why would one be placed all alone out Here. Her fingers againt caressed the top of the basket as she bit her bottom lip, resisting the growing urdge to peek inside.
Dancing upon the wind the distant sould of two whinnies reached her, perhaps the parents of this lonely basket. She smiled to herself, and sat back against the tree, waiting for the horses to arrive.Celendria: As she stood there listening to the wind smiled deeply. The grass was growing quite nicely around her feet as it emerged from the snow. Lowering her head she broke off tender shoots that were both sweet and enjoyable. As she finished and raised her neck back upwards she noticed the tiger striped mare that stood at the bottom of the hill. The ice mare observed her and realized it wasn't anyone she'd met before. Releasing a greetings, she whinnied high and loud so Rowanoak would know she was on her way down.
Trotting, she pulled herself into a full gallop as her feet carried her in the chilled wind. Her coat gleamed like ice as her mane and tail whipped behind her like white water rapids after a melting snow. As she ran she also noticed a familiar face in the distance. The human known as Chepi whom she recognized in a mere instant. But the thing that puzzled the mare was what Chepi was doing or rather looking at. Rowanoak isn't certain she wants to meet the ice mare on the ridge...she hasn't had pleasant dealings with other mares before. In fact, she really hasn't met anyone save Pallaton and Intrepid...she's spent that last many moons on her own. Still, she's already been spotted, and turning tail doesn't really seem like an appropriate gesture at this point.
Besides, she has larger problems on her hands. Nickers come from somewhere nearby. and squeeze her maternal heart. That's a foal! What if it's one of hers? Frantically, the brown mare turns about, dark braids clattering against her neck as she all but races towards the sound, only to find...
A human nearby it. Did this thing steal one of her babies? Her ears snap back, and a warning chuff escapes her, and she moves forward aggressively, before she realizes...that's not one of her baskets. In fact, it's not one she's ever seen before, and she halts, sending up a spray of snow and throwing up her head, nose dilating to catch the scent of the two-legger and the basket. The basket wiggled more as the foal outside could hear the sounds of movement around her. Her little heart raced with excitement almost causing her to loose her beath. She nickered softly and sniffed the scents that were comeing through the basket. One that was close by smelled like another Soquili, while the other one smelled like a human. Though not like her own human who had left her out here to get a breath of fresh air. She moved about in the basket more, her ears swivling this way and that. The one Soquili sounded really close and she could feel an air of agression around her. But as soon as it went away she settled back down in her basket listening closely to all the sounds her tiny ears could hear. With a Gasp Chepi pressed herself against the tree, throwing up her arms to sheild her from the approching horse. Perhaps she had errored in staying by the basket, and not all soquili would take as kindly to her as had the handfull she had met.
Her brow eyes peered up frightened over her arm as she looked at the angered horse. "Im sorry." she said Mistakenly thinking this backet and the foal inside belonged to the enraged mare. "If you just let me pass I can leave now." she said again, taking her eyes off the mare to glance down at the basket, which was wiggling more than ever now. Celendria: As she neared closer realized it was a basket that Chepi was sitting with. But her ears pulled back in adgitation realizing also that the mare she had greeted seemed to be angry and seemingly attacking Chepi. Her gallop became smooth as she stretched herself out to move faster.
A cry rang from her lungs to the new mare, "Stop. Don't hurt her!"
She snorted as she skidded to a strained halt not to far from Rowanoak. Pawing the ground she stamped her foot as if to draw attention. Her ears were pinned to the back of her head as her whinnies were broken and spastic. Her chest heaved at the commotion that she had witnessed. This humasn wasn't like stories she'd heard before. This one was gentler and caring. Stamping her foot again she whinnied, "Do not injure that human. She means you no harm."The brown mare doesn't put another hoof closer to Chepi, however, just stands there and stares at her suspiciously, almost accusingly.
She flicks an ear back, and is entirely grateful to Celendria for a brief moment for seemingly coming to her support, until her last statement filters through Rowanoak's brain, and she swerves her head around, snake-like, towards the icy-blue mare. But one ear remains trained on the two-legger, as if she didn't trust the other not to try something.
Her ears are still snapped back, and she looks quite angry. "She's a human," She snarls at Celendria, her tail cracking in agitation. "She's probably stolen that basket."The small foal inside the basket listened closely to what the other Soquili were saying. She frowned lightly and shook her head. Stolen? She hadn't been stolen. Her human had put her out here to get a bit of fresh air since she had been inside her humans teepee for most of the time she was in this wretched basket. Gaining the courage deep down in her chest she spoke out. "Um...sorry to interrupt your...co...co...conversation. But I wasn't stolen. My human put me out here so I could get some fresh air since its kinda stuffy inside her home. I see that it..might of caused some...c...conflict but I don't think she meant me any harm." Her voice was soft and unsteady. She hadn't really talked to anyone so her speach wasn't all that great. Her tone had more of a child like sense to it than anything else.Chepi's brown eyes quietly watched the mares, as they grunted and chuffed. She bit her bottom lip softly and took another step back from the basket and the tiny foal within. However, in doing so she stepped upon a roch half hudden under the snow and pitched her foot sideways on the slick surface.
She tumbled down into the snow with an audibal gasp and lay there still for several seconds. With a grunt, and slowly turned over and looked down at her foot, it would be a few more days before it would be fully healed now. Since when had she gotten so clumbsy? Even in her childhood she'd never been this bad!Celendria: Nodded to Rowanoak with more respect. She longed to have foals over her own at some point, though it was only in her dreams she saw Euphoria a lot these days. And with reason for a winged won't stay too long in any given place when their heart dreamed of the skies high above.
She turned to look at the basket with a frown, "A human left a basket in the middle of the plain? I wonder why though?" she queried with another flick of her ears. "Little one are you safe? Does the cold bother you?"
She looked to Rowanoak and sighed. "I am a wanderer and have traveled with the winter since I can remember. This is the first year I have traveled from the mountains. I know nothing about the coming seasons, nor things that appear with them." she politely said as she noticed Chepi had injured herself yet again. Blowing outward she wondered what this spring season would bring her. Woe or happiness if she truly did stay as she had wanted to. Celendria's speech seems to calm the fiery Rowanoak, and she flicks her ears backward once, in a kind of brief apology. She shrugs at the first question (whoever knows why humans do the things they do?) and just listens curiously to the icy-blue mare directing her conversation at the basket.
"It's been a bit of a warm spell lately," She says absently, "But usually it's much colder than this, especially at night. Freezing...but I suppose you know that, if you've traveled with winter. The only good thing about the snow is that it makes it harder for the wolves to hunt...Spring'll come soon, though...the weather gets beautifully warm here in the springtime, and everything melting and all," She finishes with conviction. As much as she loves the wintertime, it's dangerous: too much snow and a Soquili can break a log, and be easy prey for whatever starving hunters are out there. She quivers at the thought.
Rowan's head drops, and she inches forward as Chepi inches back, so that she can sniff the basket. "Hey, kid, you got someone to stay with? You just aren't safe on your own out here, if night falls." To all extents and purposes, Chepi could be a dung beetle, for all the attention Rowanoak pays to the human's injured state. No, this mare clearly doesn't think two-leggers are worth caring much about.Blinking a couple times as she curled up tighter in her basket she shook her head. Not that they could see it or another. "No. I'm not cold. My basket keeps me n..nice and w...warm." Her speech was still a little shakey as she listened to them talk for a while untill the other talked to her. "I have someone to t...t..take care of me. My human or t..two-legged you call. I'm sure she won't leave me out here all night." Her small tail hit against the inside of the basket as she settled herself again. It was fairly cramped inside and she wanted to hop out and stretch her legs. Take her first steps. But it seemed that she just couldn't muster the strength to do it yet. Though she knew soon she would be free.Quietly watching everything, she seemed to be let off the hook and then tottally ignored. Chepi really didnt mind though, better to be ignored than scorned. She curled her legs up to her chest and quietlt watched the mare's sniff and nudge at the basket. Her lithe fingers trailed through her ebony tresses as she tilted her head.
Quiet was something she was good at, and surveying the two mares she was glad of that. The icy mare had witnessed her fall, yet again. Her cheeks flushed in mild embarassment, and she manages a meek smile to the mare before her eyes transfixed back upon the wiggling basket.
