Title: Spirits of the Stage
Featuring: Levana, Tem and Ima
Summary: While training within a local gym in her home area, Levana is visited by two people claiming to be scouts for the Kaleido Stage.
Date: November 1, 2006

Kolina
The sound of bare feet hitting mats and the smell of chalk filled the air around young Levana as she dusted off her hands which she had just smothered in chalk. Her two-tone gaze fell upon the uneven bars she stood infront of as the tiny crystals boarding the neckline of her black leotard caught the bright lights of the gymnasium. All attention was focused upon the task in front of her as her mind filtered out the distractions around her.
Taking a deep breath Levana stepped up onto on of the mats which surrounded the bars and after a moments thought she sprung onto the lowest bar. The momentum of her body helped to slowly swing her around. Once, twice, the third time she adjusted her hands and launched from the first bar onto the second, legs spread into a stradle as both hands and feet connected with the bar. The faster momentum helped to whip her around the bar only to be stopped as her feet unfastened and she adjusted her hands once again to perform a hand stand. Spreading her legs she allowed herself to drop before performing it over again. The young demon continued her spins before leaping from the top bar back to the lower one for another spin before moving back to the higher bar.
Preparing to dismount, Levana began to pick up speed in her rotations on the bar before disembarking and summersaulting in the air twice before hitting the mats with a soft thud. Her body shifted wanting to take that step forward to keep her balance but Levana's mind refused such an act. Instead she paused for a moment, her arms in front of her to help her regain her balance before throwing her arms above her in a finishing pose before walking off the blue mats.
Landings were turning out to be the hardest of the routines anymore, especially when she pushed the dismount to a higher pace. They'd need a lot of work but Levana was running out of time for the day. She had already spent a good two hours with the bars. She had only an hour now to work with the balance beam before needing to leave to make it to ballet which was not something she was all to thrilled about. Levana had to admit though that since taking ballet her work all around improved. She just didn't enjoy prancing around the floor.
Rubbing her hands together eyes turned to look for an empty beam only to find one open located in the far right corner of the gym. Gathering up her waterbottle and towel she headed towards the apparatus to begin her balance work.

Silence reigned on the main stage and a strange mist had filled the area though no fog machine were on and all the windows and doors leading to the outside were closed. If one were to have been standing at one of the entrances to the main stage they’d have felt a sort of tense atmosphere forming .

From within the mist life pulsed and whispers could be heard. Slowly as the words grew clearer the silver grey haze faded leaving behind what appeared to be a pair of ghosts.

“ You are sure? there can be no mistakes made with this it is our purpose you know.” The female spirit rose from the floor looking about. “ There are so many of them, so much potential so many hopes and dreams" A soft smile grace her pale lips “ But of course you feel it too, I don’t know why I bother to say anything at all.”

There was a chuckle in response “Mmm well if you never talked then I’d be bored and that just wouldn’t do. I am of course sure remember I’m male and thus better at sensing projective energy you do the receptive thing better. There is much potential here but the one we want was not here today.”

Tem and Ima smiled at each other before tem stood and pointed towards a door with a sigh that red exit in glowing red letters. “Shall we?” he inquired. A nod from Ima sent the two off the stage and walking steady up the stairs towards the door. As they left the stage the last of the haze clung to them giving them a bit more human of looks and making them seem to radiate a bit of inner energy.

On Gaia these traits were not unusual and the two gained no notice (Not that many could see them anyways) as they walked the streets in search of their target. They had a time limit however before they would have to give up the hunt. Unlike the stage spirit of Earth, Tem and Ima were truly spirits of the stage they were born of it and existed because it did. They felt each foot steps on it’s floor each sweaty palm on a trapeze and they heard every word said withing the walls of the building. In short they were more than just spirits they were the stage’s soul.

Just when it appeared that they would need to return to the stage and gather more energy Tem and Ima felt a wave of energy wash over them and Tem grinned “Found it “ he crowed.

It took only a few minute more for the two to find who they were looking for. They stood against one wall watching the girl and bathing in her energy, it wasn’t as strong as the stage's nor that of the those who inhabited it but it was unique and empowering none the less.

Grinning Tem walked over to the girl being careful to clear his throat and make his presence known. It would do him no good to frighten a future star and leave them damaged “ Can I borrow you for a moment?” he asked of the girl with red and green eyes.

Kolina

Levana laid her things down on a chair that sat against the white wall. The seat itself creaked softly as she tossed her towel and water bottle down upon it. Eyes focused on the beam as she mentally worked out a routine that would get her warmed up for the new excercises she was about to do. What Levana hadn't been counting on was her train of thought being interrupted.
At the sound of a voice being cleared behind her followed by a question Levana's head snapped around to see who was possibly interrupting her training session. All of the trainers at the gymnasium knew not to interrupt her and no one had ever approached her before except an instructor who had felt the need to say a few words on what she was doing. So, to see a strange man standing behind her baffled Levana somewhat.
Brows furrowed she turned her body completely around to meet the stranger. "What can I do for you?" She was polite though there was certainly a slight winge in her voice which indicated she had little time to offer the man. Time was ticking away and she needed to get as much work done before leaving for a few hours.

ladyumbra

The girl was impatient and so was Tem, the stage needed her , in order to thrive it needed a future star that could do anything. Oh the regular performers were the back bone of the stage, they filled it with life and happiness. The new trainees would be among Tem’s favourite people for quite some time for their energy and desires fuled his ability to exist.

Still, in due time the stage would need this girl as badly as it needed them and it was Tem’s job to be sure she came. Well it was Ima’s job too but his other half seemed content to let him take the lead at this moment.

Now if he could just explain this in a sensible manner , simply telling her he was the soul of the Kaliedo stage was going to get him no where most likely. Besides it was bad enough that for the most part many people would believe she was talking to thing air.

Perhaps there was a particular way he could word this that wasn’t quite a lie without being quite truthful. “ I’m sorry to have interrupted your training but I have very little time and it was important I speak to you. I represent the Kaleido stage and I’ve been watching you and feel you have a certain quality that the stage requires.”

Ima had caught on to her brothers words and nodded backing him up, it would be easier for someone to believe two scouts were out together than one. “ If you would spare us a bit more time to talk privately we could explain better.” Best to take this out of public sight if only for the girls sake. Then they could explain everything.

Kolina

She waited impatiently for the man to work out his words as her eyes drifted to the clock which was on the wall above the main doorway. She only had 50 minutes left. At the rate this was going she'd be lucky to get a half an hour of work in before having to change and leave. Not that the man was truly taking such a long time to gather himself but time was of the essence at this point.
About to open her mouth to hurry the man along she paused as he finally found the words her wished to use and to what he said certainly froze her body. Kaleido Star scouts? Here? Now? Why? She caught sight of the woman nodding behind the man before shifting her gaze back to him. Levana didn't know that there were scouts for Kaleido Stage but she wasn't about to complain! She had missed the auditions due to her birthday not landing early enough for them. THis was absolutely amazing! Since seeing the place she wanted to audition for them!
Pulling herself out of her shocked stupor, Levana smiled brightly and nodded her head trying to fall into her business-like stature. "Of course! Let me grab my stuff." Moving back to the chair she snatched up her water bottle and towel, flinging the blue material over her shoulder to rest. "Anywhere specific you'd like to meet? I'd just need to grab my pants and shoes from my locker."
She'd spend as much time as needed with the scouts to make them positive that she would be an assest to Kaleido Stage. This was her chance! If she failed with two scouts on her side then she'd surely not be good enough to audition at an open call.

“ There’s a mostly deserted park less than a block away with benches far enough away from anyone that should do nicely.’ Tem replied watching the girl hastily collecting her stuff. “ Ima and myself shall wait for you outside.” Things were going perfectly Tem was aware that there was always the possibility that one meant for the stage, one who could become a true star may not wish too. There was always the chance that they had found another path, fortunately this girl was cooperative.

Tem and Ima quickly made their way outside giggling as a confused person watch the doors open and close with no one going in or out. In the beginning the pair had been incapable of such an action but the recent arrival of the trainees have given them more energy and allowed them forms with limited ability to make physical contact with other objects..

“ You’d best hope she takes this well” Ima said “ she seems enthusiastic But then again not all we are saying is true, still I have hopes that he’ll adjust smoothly. Of course it’s rose we actually have to worry about.” It confused both twins to no end that the one who had built this stage and in a way them could not see or hear them no matter how hard they tried to make themselves known.

“Not a problem, once we get back to the stage we’ll be strong enough to make it very clear they we exist in some way or another. The girl might not appreciate our lying but then again considering what we have to say she’ll likely forgive us.”

Kolina
"Alright! I'll be right with you then." She smiled and, still holding her bottle and towel headed across the gymnasium to the locker and changing room. Once in there she passed a few rows of the green metal lockers before moving down one and stopping at number 127. A few quick spins of the dial, Levana opened the door and threw her water bottle and towel in on the top shelf before withdrawing a small dufflebag from one of the hooks.
Plopping the bag onto a bench that ran in between the rows of lockers she pulled out her pants, shirt and sneakers. Of course today would have to be one of the days she wore sweats but there was nothing she could do about it now. Slipping the black and gray pants on she tied the drawstring before snatching up her red shirt and sliding it on over her body suit. Not bothering with socks for fear that she was keeping the scouts waiting, Levana slipped on her sneakers.
Digging through her bag past her ballet attire that would more-than-likely not be used she found her small bottle of perfume and sprayed it on herself. Usually she'd shower but there was no time. Checking to make sure she had everything she slammed her locker shut, flung her bag over her shoulder and hurried out of the room only pausing for a moment to untie her hair, allowing it to fall around her face. Running a hand through it once assured it was in a neat enough order.
Taking a deep breath as sshe reached the main entranceway she pushed the door open and stepped out into the rather warm sunlight. Squinting her eyes to adjust to the sudden brightness she looked around, spotting the two scouts not far away. With a cheery smile she approached them. "I am all set to go if you both are." She paused for a moment before realizing how scatterbrained she had been. "Oh! I am sorry, I completely forgot introduce myself. I am Levana Sohalin."

ladyumbra
Tem laughed " It's a pleasure to meet you Levana my name is Tem and as I mentioned before my other half here is Ima." As he spoke Tem noted he could feel the warmth of the sun's rays , not so much as perhaps Levana did but he could feel it. This was a very good sign. walking backwards towards his destination Tem kept an eye on Levana.

“ If I may ask a few questions I’d like to know what about the Kaleido stage interests you most and should you become a performer there what your goals would be ?” It was important to know these things so that he and Ima could help mold the girl as needed. To be aimless now was ok but in the future they would need to help her to take her favourite part of the stage and make it a part of her life, the reason she put up with what would be rather intense training.

Ima walked in front of them silently keeping an eye out for things that would trip Tem as well as thinking.

Kolina
"It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled as she walked along with Tem and Ima, her spirits lifting even more at the prospect of what this meeting could possibly bring around. She just needed to make sure not to make a fool of herself, which shouldn't be too hard. Levana usually carried herself with a graceful air so there was little chance she'd muddle up now...right?
She blinked at Tem as he presented his question. Brows furrowed for a moment in thought, trying to collect her words and structure them into an intelligent enough response otherwise she'd just sputter out her complete thoughts without any sense of organization. "Well, Kaleido Stage in itself is a unique place but what truly attracts me is the depth and challenging performances that are put on. Kaleido Stage just stands in a status of it's own standing. I won't lie. I've only ever seen one production but it moved me so greatly. It's...It's just a miraculous place." She sighed, thinking back on the performance as her tail flicked idly behind her. After a few moments she pulled herself from her thoughts with another large smile. "My goals there would be similar to what they are now, just altered slightly I guess. I...well, this may sound strange to someone who doesn't appreciate such a thing, but I want to find an audience that will give me the most intense feeling of accomplishment. I only experienced that once, during my very first performance. I guess it was because it was my first and all, but I have never been able to come across such a feeling again. The audience is who I am there for and to hear them applause, knowing they apprciate my work and dedication...well...that's my goal I guess."
Levana chuckled slightly as she reached up to rub the back of her head. "I guess it does sound silly in words, but...well, it's something that I want."

ladyumbra

"That's a perfectly fine goal to have " Tem said truthfully. " There are many goals and dreams that the stage provides and any that do not invove the harm of others is good." The demon girl seemed to know what she wanted from life and the stage thay was good, of course only fate knew if it could all happen and if she could provide the stage with what it needed to make her goals plausible.

"I'm glad you enjoyed the show you saw and that it inpired you" Ima broke in turning them so they the began down the gravel path leading to the park bench. "I doubt I need to be telling you this but the stage requires a great deal of effort to create inspiration shows.. to dream is wonderfull to make dreams a reality will require a great deal of effort. You show much dedication in your trianing but are you willing to give more, can your time be spent in countless lessons followed by optional but important workshops and practise not only alone abut with others? Can you learn to work with others becuase what we create are plays and while there is often a central role all players are important."

Ima's were were calm and warm there was no malice or tension in them. She was questioning Levana but not harshly theses were simply things she needed to know.

Kolina
Levana adjusted her bag upon her shoulder as she nodded to Tem. It was true. There were so many goals and dreams out there. She had heard many other girls in the gymnasium speak about their goals in life and many were so different, especially those which Levana had worked with. Many of those girls wanted something different from the stage and their dreams and goals varied to quite extremes.
At the sound of Ima's voice Levana's head turned to her. This was the first time the woman had spoken. She found Ima's voice soft and gentle which surprised her somewhat. For some reason Levana expected Ima's voice to be more harsh. "I spend whatever time I can training." Levana said. "My life is completely dedicated to anything that will help me reach my dreams. I know that no one can ever imagine to get anything out of life without hard work and I am determined to make something of my self." She looked at Ima as if she had almost been insulted though she knew that such questions were important. "As for working with others, I've done it before I don't see why I can't do it again. I'll admit that I may loose my temper more if my partners in an act aren't working as hard as they should but as long as everyone is giving it their all I have no qualms with working in groups."
Levana paused a moment to adjust her bag again which wasn't sitting correctly on her shoulder. Fixing the slide proof padding on the strap she put it back on her shoulder again and continued to follow Ima and Tem again.
Along their walk Levana noticed that they had passed several prime benches that would have worked well enough but Ima nad Tem seemed determined to lead her to a secluded part of the park. It made her somewhat uneasy but her determination to become a member of Kaleido Star was just to strong for her other senses and instincts to take over.

ladyumbra

Ima listened to the replies but made no comment untill they have found a suitable bench. Once sitting she once again addressed Levana. " Your answers have so far been very good and I do believe we can provide a place for your there is however one more thing we must discuss. But first you must tellme what you know about Earth's Kaleido stage."

Kolina

Levana walked silently along with Tem and Ima after she spoke. The silence wasn't uncomfortable really, she just wondered why there was such a long pause.
In truth it wasn't all that long of a pause before the trio found themselves at the bench that the two spirits had led her to. Dropping her bag so it sat at her feet, Levana rested on the old wooden bench as it creaked slightly under her weight.
Eath's Kaleido Stage? Hm, well that was certainly an interesting quteion. "I don't know a whole lot, just mainly about some of the star performers that were there. In particular I remember reading about two performers, Leila Hamilton and Sora Naegino. They performe an act which resulted in Leila becoming injured to the point where she was no longer able to perform. I don't really remember the details though or the name of the act. I do remember hearing that Kaleido Stage went downhill a little while after though because people weren't interested in the shows or something but it eventually got back to it's original self again after some hard times."
Levana looked at Ima and Tem as she responded, unsure if what she was answering with was what they wanted or not so she searched their faces for any sort of clue but got none.

ladyumbra

Tem nodded it was obvious they what the girl knew would not help them with this and it was time the said what they had come to say. " Well that act you spoke of that they performed was told to them by fool the spirit of the stage those is is a pixie and not a ghost or actual spirit" he paused for a moment collecting hsi thoughts " Ima and myself however are true spirits were are the stages soul and we carry it's feelings and thoughts with us in our hearts ."

" What Tem is trying to say" Ima interjected is that we came here under false pretences , we are not scouts per say though we did come to you for ask you to join the stage. As it's soul we know what it wants and needs and what it needs is a true star one who's brilliant performances will be a guiding light to others be they performer or audiences" Ima said softlyas she locked her eyes on Levana's " We and the stage need you as much as we need all who come there though your path will be harder we offer you greater rewards."

The word spoken both spirits waited to see what would be said, whether thier offer was accepted or declined would change the shape of the stage's future untill or unless other true star's were found.

Kolina
As Tem began to explain his and Ima's positions Levana's face clearly depicted her reaction to their words. Once full of excitement and eagerness her brows and eyes reflected the confusion and disbelief with what was being said. Spirits of the Stage? How could they possibly be spirits and standing right in front of her? They looked solid enough, and she was talking to them as if they were just normal people. It didn't make any sense!
Before she could open her mouth to comment Ima jumped into the conversation. After Ima got her words out Levana was even more confused. "A true star? How can you tell who a true star is? I am not saying that I am not flattered that you think that I fit such a title but it's a little hard to grasp when you don't quite understand it and what's this about you being spirits? I see you, and I can touch you...I think." She reached out to touch Ima's should and the spirit felt solid enought o her.
"If you two aren't scouts then how are you possibly able to ask me to join Kaleido Stage? Do you have any direct say in what happens there? I have a feeling that you don't, so how, may I ask will I join the company when I missed auditions? Unless you can talk to the owner of the place I doubt I could get in, even with my skills."
To say Levana was in disbelief about the whole thing would be an understatement. She didn't know what to think about the whole thing. It was bad enough that they weren't really scouts and now they were trying to pass themselves off as spirits of the stage?

ladyumbra
Ima laughed " Slow down and let me awnser, I feel real to you becuase Tem and I have aborbed the stages energy from the recent events goingon there as well as some of your own energy becuase of your potential. We know you are a true star becuase we are the stages soul and thus we know not the future persay but the destiny to a degree of those who should or will join it." Except, she mused when the odd performer did something surprising that could not be predicted.

There was a pause while she locked eyed with the girl " We can invite you to the stage becuase of who we are, spirits can only be seen by true stars and Rose knos this as an avid lover of earths stage if you approach her and tell her what we have aid she will accept you. Tem and I will be there with you those invisable to her we can still affect the enviroment around us and we can make our presence known if need be." Each word Ima spoke was ringed with sincerity and she did not back down from her stance, the stage needed levana to believe in them."

( no we won't be going into the meeting with rose after she agrees to go with them becuase that would take forever)

Kolina
Levana listened to Ima's words trying to wrap her mind around the whole situation she was in. This was a big oppertunity for her and something she wasn't about to pass up but how would her parents feel about her leaving already. They hadn't expected her to be leaving until next year so no plans had been made. It would certainly be interesting to see their reaction though. Too bad no one else could see Ima and Tem though...wait...no one could see... "Whoa...does this mean that right now, to everyone else, I look like I am talking to myself?" Very concious about that realization she glanced around herself for any signs of another person nearby. It appeared that the area Tem and Ima had led her truly was secluded. That was certainly a good thing but during the walk over she had to look like a nut case.
Pulling her thoughts away from her little predicament Levana sifted through the things that would need to be done with her upcoming acceptance into Kaleido Star. Wow, that was an odd thing to think about yet so thrilling! She'd finally be able to live her dream!
Turning to look at Ima and then Tem she smiled. "When would you like me to meet with Rose?"

~Auditions~
Frosty The Snowman

Rose Montrave
Rose sat on a bench inthe practise gym watching a trainee intently. On either side of her sat her fellow staff members and a few official performers who'd be starring in their holiday production of Frosty the snowman. All of them would be juding the audtions taking place now.

The parts were minor simply that of snow flakes and the melting sun but they were still roles and would rewuire a measure of skill to perform acceptably. There were two sets of snow flake roles, one on trampoline and one on trapeeze. The sun would be solely trapeze. This would hopefully give those auditioning a choice on which to apply for depending on thier skills at the time.

(( Audtitoning has begun, please submit autioning peices to the mule. Work under the assumption your character has had a few classes already.
Choose which role you'd like to apply for and have your charater do an audition peice suited to it. Example were Kayla trying out for say the sun her peice might be like this.

Copper coloured hair gleamed as rays of light from the ceiling l hit it. The rays also carried with them heat and so the shivering Kayla was doing was from fear and not cold. She stepped out onto the practise trapeze and heard the release click off. She swung foreward smiling brightly, She was the sun warm radiant and strong.

Her legs bent for a moment before she pushedoff and leapt from one trapeze to another. Her form in the air was supposed to be elegant yet frim looking; an unwavering symbol on heat and power. Her feet touched down on the bar of the second trapeze and she breathed a sigh of relief. The hardest part was over. From here it was all body work and nailing the personality set for the role.

(k**e that only better becuase it's not so good. Your entries may be as short of as long as you'd like. Remember though you should if possible show off your characters personality, their skills and weaknesses and have them try and play the role they want. Keep in mibd that their is acting involved hence the last sentence in Kayla's peice.

Role winners be picked by the middle of next week and practise will begin then. Practise will mainly consist of one huge roleplay thread which be seperated into each day or so of practise. Nearing the end of december the production will be written.)

Levana's Audition
Two-toned eyes were shut as Levana took in several deep breaths to try and focus her mind on the challenge ahead of her. Since arriving at Kaleido Stage she had done quite a bit of learning and work and all of it came down to the audition today. She guessed this is what it felt like to audition to get into the company and was very grateful she didn't have to go through such a nerve wrecking time but now she found herself before Rose and the others involved with producing 'Frosty the Snowman'.

From the platform, Levana opened her eyes to look at the metal bar in front of her. The lights hit the smooth surface just right to cause a small glare to shoot off the gray material but the demon had little time to think upon that as the sound of the release spurred her into action. Taking hold of the swing, Levana jumped from the platform and used her momentum to swing her out to the next trapeze.

Like the sun she showed her strength both physically and in her personality. Each movement she made was precise and full of energy. The routine she had designed worked in attributes she was use to on the uneven bars as well as new moves she had learned during lessons and experiments on her free time. With pride she swung herself around the trapeze swing, doing circles upon it timed well enough to not loose the momentum she had going on the swing.

In her eyes the sun was an ever present force that made the world go round and made people want to get up in the morning to start another day. After all, no one truly enjoyed a cloudy day as much as they did a cloudless one. So, Levana smiled brightly and held herself with an air of importance and dignity that the sun possessed day after day.

Once the swing she was on had enough of momentum, Levana did once last circle upon the bar before stopping herself with her feet wrapped around the cables of the swing. From there she reached up and grabbed the swing and pulled herself up so that she stood upon the bar just as the swing reached it's highest point. At that moment she leapt from the swing arms high into the air as her legs went into a right legged split. Her head looked to the sky as she portrayed her pride in her performance and as her character, the sun.

Her right foot connected with the next trapeze, followed swiftly b her left but she didn't pause a moment. Her body tumbled down, unfolding itself as her hands grabbed the bar. She finished off the routine with a few more circles on the swing her last one being held in a handstand with her legs split again before she swung off the bar to the next one with a single front flip, grabbing the bar and swinging off to the platform where she managed to stop her forward momentum with as much as a grace as the sun emits when descending beyond the horizon to slumber the night away.

Test One
----------------------------------------

Classes had been going well for Levana as well as her training and must have shown for Rose had finally approached Levana about her test for advancement. Now, it wasn't a test that Levana had thought would be hard. In fact, upon hearing the test she nearly went wide-eyed in surprise. Learn weakness for a character? It couldn't have been anymore simple! It was going to be an easy advancement test. All she'd need to do was work on a character and begin some work. So after finishing up with classes and training that day, Levana set herself out to begin her character work and analysis.

Flopping into the chair of her desk with her laptop opened in front of her with a tablet and a pen, Levana began working as Tem and Ima watched the demon girl with interest. "You realize that this won't be as easy as you think." Ima said as she floated over to Levana's desk.

With a wave of her hand in dismissal Levana just shook her head. "How hard could it possibly be? Character work is becoming second nature now."

"But a character like this is against your nature. It'll make it more difficult." Tem added as he lounged on the bed.

Rolling her eyes LEvana just shook her head. "Look I don't need any help from you two. This is something I think I can handle myself."

The two spirits looked to one another before shrugging and leaving the demon alone with her paper, laptop, and confidence. Levana had no idea that the task was going to be quite difficult to her, feeling almost impossible.

The character work had been compiled. She named herself Princess Farin who was a fair and dainty princess of a kingdom who had been kidnapped from her home and kept in a hostile dungeon. Afterall, Princesses were to be weak in nature, right? Prince Charming always needed to come and save them as the girl fawned over her knight in shining armor. Well, such a role just was not something that Levana could get herself into. No matter how she tried she just couldn't get her mind to wrap around the idea of being a helpless person who had very little or no strength in them.

"Ugh! Why isn't this working!" It had been several days now sinc eshe had gotten her assignment and began work on it and still things weren't clicking for her! Why!? It was only a character, not her real self. How hard could it be to slip into a character?

"Maybe it's the fact that you fear weakness that you are unable to grasp this character of yours." Tem said as he watched, once again, as Levana rehearsed a scene given to her in vein. After only two days of rehearsing Levana had broken in and let the spirits help.

Turning upon the spirit with a sigh, Levana shrugged her shoulders. "What do you mean?"

Ima hoped in, "When someone fears something then they are unable to do it. It's very likely that you fear coming across to people as weak. That is what is most likely keeping you from grasping a hold of your character."

LEvana took in a deep breath before letting it out slowly, "No one likes to see weakness. It's just something I've learned through the years."

tem nodded, "But it's required to understand people who have any weakness whether it be physically or mentally. Why not channel your fear and make that your weakness?"

A few days laterm Levana found herself standing in front of Rose and a few other instructors from Kaleido Stage. She had managed to borrow a cotume from the costume shop and grabbed Shima to be her scene partner. Shima had gotten thrown into the role of the Prince but she managed to get a grasp on it fast enough. Afterall, the Prince was made into a very two dimensional character. He was there to rescue his damsel in distress and be the pillar to support her weak and frail body.

The routine had been put together to be performed on the trampoline. It wasn't a hard routine but it helped to prove to Rose and the others that Levana had put quite a bit of time and work into her character development. With the help that Tem and Ima had given her, Levana had been able to fall into the role of her princess. With each passing movement, Levana showed how much she needed the Prince to rescue her for she was unable to protect herself. What the princess had in mental strength she lacked in physical strength.

By the time the routine was over, Levana felt quite pround of herself, even if she didn't get promoted. The work she had done had opened her eyes to something that she had never thought about and to a character that was hidden deep inside her being. All she needed was the strength to bring out the weakness that had been hidden deep within her soul.
