If you would consider it rude or inappropriate to quest for Jesus or God reborn, please extend the courtesy to other present-day religions such as Buddhism. Telling someone you've killed their diety figure and had them reborn is not the best way to ingratiate yourself with the community.

To be honest, though, there's a problem inherent with using ANY kind of religious figure, no matter what religion. Do you know how many people actually still do believe in and actively worship the river Lethe (Lethe: Damn straight!) Hades, Zeus, Aphrodite? Over 80, 000 and counting, and that's in Greece alone.
Sure, they're typically used in a lot of different kinds of fiction -- but so is Jesus, whether as a joke or something more serious (though I'll admit, the thought of roleplaying Jesus, especially if one intends for him to get into a relationship...) And what about angels? A lot of people very seriously do believe in them, worship them, ect.
I guess what I'm saying is: I'm not entirely sure where the line needs to be drawn, and I'm not even sure that saying "All Christian and Buddhist myths should be off-limits!" sad I think I confused myself more with this post than anything else.

I don't think all myths themselves should be, but some figures from those myths really don't ledn themselves towards fa'e. Particularly if they're important for their inability to die, such as God and Kwannon/Guan Yin.
People who quest for objects or lesser known figures from the myths, go for it. And technically, even with the angels, they've all been original angels. If we had someone going for Michael or Gabriel, you can bet there'd be some more objections.

Meep's Fa'e is the Archangel Uriel though, isn't he? Along with Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. Generally not as widely recognized though, and I think only Michael is directly referenced in the New Testament...
I'm not at all protesting Meep's Fa'e though, I guess I'm just arguing for the sake of arguing (to try and make distinctions more clear), heh.

[Edit] ERRR, I mean Uriel is an Archangel, along with Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel, not that Meep's concept involves some b*****d Power Ranger Mecha mix of all four of them. :C
